I already have the OnDash 4X so when the X4S Duo became available I jumped at the chance and I’m glad to say that it doesn’t disappoint.
It comes with everything you need (except for the micro SD card) to get up and running. Vantrue recommend using their own brand of micro SD card so that’s what I went with and I’ve not had any problems. I can also confirm that the dashcam will work with a 512GB micro SD card which should be plenty enough for both cameras. Like the X4, the menus are easy to navigate and the one on the X4S Duo has been improved which takes it to the next level. There are various combinations of resolutions you can set for both cameras all at 30fps. I went for 4K for the front camera and 1080P for the rear camera. The layout of the buttons is pretty much the same as the X4 so there should be no problems. Like the X4, it does seamless loop recording (handy for joining clips together when editing), has a supercapacitor, a 3″ screen, wi-fi, parking mode (the camera needs to be hardwired for this feature) and GPS is supported but the GPS mount would need to be purchased separately.
The one thing that sets this apart from the X4 is the rear mounted camera. The 20ft USB-C cable that comes with the dashcam should be plenty long enough for just about every car. I own a 2003 Volvo XC90 and the cable was more than enough.
The video quality on the front camera is on the next level in 4K. It is definitely better than the X4. The rear camera was not quite as good in 1080P but vehicle number plates were still readable. The audio was absolutely fine and definitely an improvement on the X4. The front and rear cameras record simultaneously so there is no problem with synchronizing front and rear footage when editing the video. One thing to note is that the video is recorded using the newer H.265 codec so bear this in mind if you want to play the video files on your Windows PC/Laptop. Also, if you want to edit the video files make sure your editing software will support the H.265 codec. I used Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 to edit video and I will have to upgrade as it doesn’t support the newer codec.
I tried to connect the dashcam to my phone via the wi-fi function but I was having difficulties with the app. It is not something I would normally use as I remove the micro SD card form the dashcam and put it into a card reader on my desktop PC if I want to access the video files.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely! This is my 3rd Vantrue dashcam and it does not disappoint. The price may be a bit hard to swallow but this is basically a flagship model and I reckon it would give the mainstream manufacturers a good run for their money.
This product give me a 4K high resolution even in day time and night version with a wild angle, and it support up to 512GB memory card it can save much more video than my previous dash cam, also, I can access the dash cam through WiFi, I can download the videos in my cell phone without take out the sd card, this is the most wonderful dash cam I’ve ever use
I purchased this after a recent accident and it does what it says on the tin. The camera built quality is very good. I purchased a 512GB card (you need to format it properly, otherwise it won’t recognise) as the videos size could be large and I wanted to retain the videos for as long as possible. It has a parking monitor mode as well for additional peace of mind. The night video quality is also very good.
Recommended for very driver on road.
I bought the X4S a few months ago and I have used it 6 nights a week for around 6 hours per night. So far I’ve been really impressed with it. I choose it because I do most of my driving at night and if you look at my Screenshots you’ll see that it was a indeed good choice.
The camera was simple to setup – I have it set to 1080p and 60fps, which isn’t the highest resolution, but seems fine. Using a 64Gb sd card it gives me a couple of nights of footage. The screenshots were taken on my android tablet using the Vantrue app. This app works really well and lets you veiw and download footage wirelessly easily. Had I not had to pixelate the number plates, you’d see that they’re very clear in all lighting conditions. The app also lets you change most of the camera settings too.
I would happily recommend this camera to anyone who wants a reliable, easy to use mid range dashcam.
very good camera, I like the idea of connecting to your mobile or tablet, there’s small issue with WiFi connectivity.
You will need to buy an SD card separately.
This dashcam has a separate little rear camera, which you stick to your back windscreen with a self-adhesive pad; this is a significant improvement over the kind of camera with a backwards-facing camera on the front windscreen cam, which you have to somehow direct so that it doesn’t just take photos of your back seat passengers.
The wire from the front to the rear camera needs to be plugged into the socket on the actual camera, not on the base (it will plug into both, which is potentially confusing).
Other than this, the camera is easy to set up, although if you like a neat car you will (of course) have to find some way of concealing the wires.
The app is easy to download, but you need to connect it to the camera by wifi, NOT bluetooth. Strangely, the camera puts out a wifi signal, so you have to have the camera switched on and close by, and then connect your phone as if it’s a wifi network. Then you will be able to download the pictures/films. Note that you have to connect the camera each time, and your app does not remain permanently connected.
If you do not download the films to your phone, only view them, they will not (obviously) be there next time you open the app. Viewing does not mean that the films are downloaded.
Pictures/films are good quality; they also include clear sound (which my previous camera did not, so that is a nice surprise).
All in all, I am happy with this dashcam, which is a significant upgrade over my previous one.
I bought this because it was reasonably priced and because it wi-if connects to you smart phone.
I do not have a computer at home, [only and iPad] so I cannot plug in the memory card to down load the videos.
By linking it to your phone as a Wi-Fi connection you can save the videos direct to you phone and onto your iCloud.
Seems to be working fine at the moment and the images are OK, I haven’t used at night yet.
The product is really premium with amazing packaging and really nicely presented. Now it’s installed its very neat and tidy with all the supplied cabling and looks great. Connected it to my phone really easily and I’m very confident it will do it’s job if I need it to
I got it at bargain price 160
For x4s duo.
For this price range this product is good.
I’m still testing the product, I’ll write more after using it for at least 1 month.
I’ve tested a fair few different dash cams over the years, and this is by far the best one yet. Not perfectbut pretty close. I’ll give you some bullet points up top for those short on time, full review follows underneath. I have the duo version, so mine came with the rear facing camera as well (which I’d highly recommend). The video shows some footage from the front camera, rear camera as well as how it compares to a 2K dashcam for context.
Pros:
– Crisp 4K footage
– Good dynamic range/exposure control
– Strong night vision capture
– Dual camera recording
– Parking mode | 24/7 recording
– Easy, quick setup and use
– Clear 3″ IPS panel
– Easy file sharing via USB-C (and Wi-Fibut not as good)
– Good value for money
Cons:
– Hardwire cable for 24/7 recording not included (sold separately)
– No included SD card! (Sold separately)
– GPS tracking not included (sold separately)
– Extremely slow file transfer over Wi-Fi
– USB-A to USB-C cable support only (no USB-C to C cable support)
– Occasional app disconnection issues
Ok so first of all the unboxing experience is great, very professional and comes with (almost) everything you need. Feels like a premium product from unboxing to install. The suction mount is high quality and very easy to install, and the cable running to the rear camera has plenty of length. Therefore it’s easy to hide the cable away (with or without the included pry tool). The fact that the camera is powered via USB-C is excellent – you can use your own cables and car adapters if you choose – which is perfect. The included car adapter is fine, and actually gives you an extra USB-A port too – but I prefer my own car adapters which have multiple ports for other accessories too (but you might not need one at all, as I’ll come onto later). The USB-C port for powering the camera is located on the mount, not the camera itself, which is excellent! This often gets overlooked, but it means you can easily remove the camera and take it inside (i.e. to transfer files to your computer) and not need to detach the suction mount repeatedly. You can leave it in place and just clip the camera back into the mount when you’re ready. The second USB-C port (on the camera itself, the one you use to connect the rear camera if you have the dash cam duo) can then be used to connect the camera to your computer for transferring the files. You only need a single cable for this, which is cool, but weirdly my USB-C to C cables didn’t work – zero response from the camera. My USB-C to USB-A cables worked fine though (and in fairness this is the type you get in the box) – but something to watch out for if you’re a MacBook / USB-C laptop user, you might need an adapter for the cable. Camera connected just fine with USB-A to C cables though and made transferring files from the camera nice and easy – no need to take out the SD card each time.
The camera itself is well-built and has tactile buttons to control it. The display is very nice and clear, but the overall device isn’t too large to be distracting when driving (you could probably hide it behind your rear-view mirror if preferred). It’s quite easy to detach and reattach the camera from the mount, and you get good movement for positioning the angle just right. The rear view camera is surprisingly small and lightweight – sits nice and discreetly on the rear window too. It uses an adhesive mount, not suction like the front, so you need to get the positioning right. But you then have a good range of tilt to get the angle right. On the camera’s IPS screen you can view both (or just one of) the front and rear cameras at once (and it’s easy to switch views too, though I have my display turn off after a minute anyway).
I’d highly recommend you get the duo package with the rear camera. The 1080p quality on the rear doesn’t match up to the front, sure, but it could be invaluable to have both front and rear views recorded in the event of a crash. The image quality is still quite clear (better than some dash cams for the front) so I’ve got no complaints at all with it. You simply plug the rear camera in to the front one with the included cable and it’s ready to go – simple. Rather than use the camera itself to navigate though, I’d suggest you download and use the app. It makes the initial setup/playing around with the settings much quicker. The interface is clean and simple to use. As with all dash cam apps, it’s not perfect. Getting connected (and sometimes staying connected) can be a bit finicky, but realistically you should only need to do this once for the initial setup and then just leave the dash cam be. You ‘can’ view and download the recordings from the camera straight to your phone via Wi-Fi – but it takes ages to load the image previews and even longer to transfer them. That’s not new with dash cams really, but definitely transfer files directly to your computer over the cable. It offers both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at least, but even at 5 GHz, it’s slow.
Ok so setup and usability is great, so far so good. Image quality? Also great. It’s a shame not to have 4K at 60 fps, but to be honest it’s rare to find 4K in a dash cam at all right now. The higher resolution, when it comes to dash cam footage, is extremely useful, so 4K60 is how I use it. Being able to resolve that distant number plate (where a 2K or 1080p cam may fail) is noticeable. The dynamic range has been good too although not perfect. The exposure on the road is almost always very good, but sometimes the sky gets blown out a bit, so not perfect HDR. The camera adjusts well to different exposures though (including very bright sunlight) so the footage has been consistently good across various weather types. Night time vision has been good too, no issues at all. The nice, wide angle covers multiple lanes at once – and you can get live preview footage (for both cameras) on the camera (or on the app).
You can clearly see the improvement over even a 2K camera (check my video). If you prefer the higher frame rate, you can always select 2K at 60 fps instead (or even 1080p 120 fps!)- and actually if you don’t need the footage to be quite that sharp, you may want to take the res down to save on memory card storage. You will fill up a card a LOT quicker with 4K, but with the overwrite feature I’m perfectly fine with this. I don’t personally need any of my clips ‘except’ the one that captures the crash – so storage isn’t an issue. You’ll want to get yourself a sufficiently fast enough SD card though for this – and that’s where my biggest drawback comes in: NO included SD card in the box. That’s really annoying, because the camera is unusable without one and plenty of cameras do include one. You can get one pretty cheap, but I really wish there was one in the box to save you the hassle. Really not sure why they advertise not to use a SanDisk card though (mine works fine, and seems like they’re pushing people towards buying their own SD cardscould be wrong though). The dual-camera recording has been the deal-breaker for me though – I love having both views captured at once (and the files are separately stored so you can manage them yourself at a later date on your computer – perhaps useful to know for those who upload their dash cam footage online). If someone backs into your car in a parking garageyour front camera suddenly triggering isn’t going to give you much info – but the rear camera capturing the offender driving away after hitting your rear bumper would be extremely useful.
Other features include a time lapse mode, and my personal favourite, 24/7 parking mode – this isn’t too common but works great and is very reassuring to have. Having security from the camera when your car is parked overnight is great, and there are a few different options for how recording is triggered: by motion, by physical movement (with G sensor) or constant recording via low bit-rate recordings. To get this perfect, you’ll need to spend time playing around with the sensitivity levels to get it how you want it. But eventually I was able to find the right balance and have it capture only significant moments (and not every single tree swaying in the wind, for example). Now, in order to use 24/7 recording you need to obviously hook the camera up to a power source that isn’t your car’s engine (or else when the engine goes off, the camera does too). This can be either an external power bank (which you’d need to keep topping up yourself) or you can hardwire it to your car’s battery. Sound scary? It’s really not at all – Vantrue themselves sell the cable that plugs directly into your car’s OBD port – so I have mine plugged into the port in my glove box and have been able to hide the cable in the car’s interior trim even easier than by using the regular car adapter cable. PLUS my car’s cigarette lighter port is now freed up for other accessories. It’s perfect. It powers the camera 24/7 (so it works as normal whilst I’m driving and then switches to my selected parking mode (after 5 minutes) when I park up). It has built-in protection for your car’s battery, so if the voltage gets too low it’ll cut out – meaning your car’s battery will never run too low because of the camera, but this will likely never become an issue anyway. That part impressed me, it’s been thought through. Vantrue don’t recommend running the camera 24/7 permanently, for obvious reasons (it’ll shorten the lifespan of the camera eventually), but for me it’s ideal to never have to think about it. I really, really wish this cable came included as well though. It’s not expensive, only about 20 – but I think ALL features of a camera should be accessible at first purchase. I don’t want to have to buy something separate to make full use of the camera. I appreciate not everyone will use parking mode, but I want to (and am very satisfied now that I’ve bought the hardwire kit). Another feature that doesn’t come included is the GPS feature (needed if you want MPH/KPH tracking on your recordings as well as time/date stamps). I’m not as fussed about this myself and didn’t buy this optional accessory – but it’s important to note that it’s not included. So that’s the hardwire kit, GPS and an SD card that doesn’t come included. Annoying, but at this price and for what the camera offers, it’s something that can be forgiven.
Ok I’ll wrap this up now but in summary: the camera is almost perfect. The image quality, usability and feature set is fantastic (especially at this price). I’d personally give this 4.5 stars if I could (the lack of an SD card and the hardwire cable were disappointments) – the dash cam should come with ‘everything’ you need to use all features. But since it’s whole star ratings only on Amazon, I think 4 would be doing the camera a disservice, and I’ve rounded up to 5. This is my first experience with Vantrue but I’ve been extremely impressed. I’d highly recommend this camera to anyone and can’t see anything else on the market beating this for value right now!
I’ve never used a dash cam system before. On the whole I like it, although it works rather differently to how I had expected. I’d anticipated these to be more like a sat nav system and charge up and be added to/removed from my car when it’s not in use. But of course this is designed to stay in the car so that it can record if anything happens to it while I’m not in it.
This presumably makes the installation of this system a modification of which I need to apprise my insurance company. Adding a couple of hundred pounds’ worth of visible tech that doesn’t get removed when the car is left seems like a pertinent extra.
This came beautifully presented and packaged, with components in a series of little boxes. The camera settings are fairly easy to follow, with menus that walk you through language selection, date/time settings, the units to be used for measuring speed, and formatting the micro SD card. Less obvious, though still fairly easy to find were the volume settings. On the default settings, this beeps noisily (it was set to maximum volume) every time a button was pressed — so the first thing I looked for once the initial set-up phases had been completed was a way to turn off the sounds.
I’m not a big fan of the connector that attaches the front facing camera to the dash mount. This is stiff and awkward to connect up, and makes putting the camera on and off without disconnecting the suction cup connector something I find quite fiddly.
The 3″ screen is clear and crisp, and day time recording quality is excellent, though 4K recording is data hungry on the SD card.
Night time quality is a lot less so. We live right out in the country, and there’s not much in the way of street lighting on any of the roads around us, until you get to the edges of one of the larger villages/towns — particularly in areas that aren’t otherwise lit the lights from passing vehicles seem to create a lot of bleed on footage.
Worth every penny and recently helped us with footage of a small crash. Easy to set up. Use. Would recommend. I always remove from car each night.

We just bought a basic second car just for the purpose of doing school runs or going to nearby stores. Fitting the car with a dash cam is a must – to record the driving and serves as evidence if an accident happens.
This Vantrue X4S Dash cam is exactly what we need. It arrives neatly packed in a premium packaging together with all the accessories mentioned. Installing it was quick and straightforward.
Out of the box, the sleek looking dash cam looks and feels of high quality. With the 4K front camera, the quality of the pictures and the videos is just amazingly clear and crisp.
It comes with a built-in WIFI which means we can now view and check the driving status in real time, and the videos can be played back from the mobile phone. The 24-hour parking mode is another great feature this dash cam has, but you’ll need to get a separate hardwire kit to make it work.
This dash cam needs a micro sd card to save footage. The loop recording is a nice feature, overwrites old records over and over, so you don’t need a memory card with a huge amount of space.
It comes with a motion detection function that only records once it senses movement near the vehicle. While the G-sensor function will lock the current recorded file if it detects a crash. This way the loop recording will not override the important video file.
Included in the package are :
1 x VANTRUE X4S WiFi Dashcam
1 x Suction Cup Mount
1 x Type-C USB Data Cable (3ft)
1 x Car Charger with Type-C Cable (11.4 ft)
1 x Quick Start Guide
1 x User Manual
All in all, it’s been working great and we are very pleased with this dash cam and would recommend it.
Thank you for reading. Hope you have the review helpful.
I just bought a new car and this Vantrue X4S Dual Dash cam is exactly what I need. It arrives neatly packed in a premium packaging together with all the accessories mentioned. Installing it was quick and straightforward. It’s also fairly easy to operate.

Installing was quick and straightforward. Setting up the system is not hard, but can be quite tricky, so take some time and read the manual thoroughly.
My husband, who is a very technical person, did this in less than 1 hour, including connecting the rear cam to the tailgate. Well, he thinks wires could be a little bit longer, and would be a problem to fit a bigger/longer car.
The sleek looking dash cam looks and feels of high quality. With the 4K front camera, and the full HD rear camera, the quality of the pictures and the videos is really amazing.
It comes with a built-in WIFI (either 2.4G/5G) which means you can now view and check the driving status in real time, and you can watch the pictures/videos from your mobile phone. The 24-hour parking mode is another great feature this dash cam has, but you’ll need to get a separate hardwire kit to make it work.
This dash cam needs a micro sd card to save footage. The loop recording is a nice feature, overwrites old records over and over. I’m using 256GB, as recommended in the manual.
It comes with a motion detection function that records when it senses movement near the vehicle. While the G-sensor function will lock the current recorded file if it detects a crash. This way the loop recording will not override the important video file.

All in all, I’m very happy with this dash cam, as it ticks all the boxes for me, and I would happily recommend it.

Well, this may cost too much when there are dash cams under 50. However, this belongs to totally different range with its built and picture quality.
The built quality is almost like a go pro camera and the low light video capture is simply amazing.
Pros
– brilliant quality of video
– easy to navigate user interface
– superb built quality
– easy to attach and detach
Cons
– expensive
– need to buy separate class U3 memory card for the recording.
– connectivity to the phone via WiFi is not so great.
Overall, a great car dashcam for those who are focusing on foreward facing video recording.

This has to be the best dash cam we have used. The quality of the picture is brilliant and even at night it captures everything with ease. The camera comes nicely packaged and with all the instructions and cables you need to get it running. You do need a memory card and that is not included.
Very easy to operate and instal in the car, my husband managed to conceal all the cables for the rear camera. We have it on a loop recording, it will record sounds too but you can have the option to turn it off. Overall extremely impressed and I highly recommend this dash camera.

This quite a high spec product but I would expect that at the this rrp. The only thing I would have expected beyond that is to include the 512gb sd card that it recommends.
The video quality is fantastic in both day and night. The wires supplied make it easy to fit but unless done by a professional are quite untidy (a normal problem for dash cams I believe). It does include parking assistance as well which is good bonus.
It does also record sound within the car which I find quite invasive but this can be disabled saving on memory storage.

I’ve had a few dash cams in various cars, they’re a must have these days and I’m surprised it’s not something that’s routinely fitted when you buy a car.
This is easy enough to install, the hardest bit is disguising the wires, removing panels to tuck wires behind can be tricky and I’ve always left that to someone qualified although that does add to the overal cost.
The picture quality is good, so number plates and finer detail is clear, even at night.
Parking mode requires a separate purchase, which is disappointing as it’s mention in the title.
I’ve purchased cheaper dash cams which were just as good as this so I think it’s a little expensive.

Overall this is a good dash cam, both front and rear, so all areas are covered. Fitting can be tricky as there’s so many wires to hide and I’ve always found it much less hassle to get someone professional to fit it, otherwise it can look a bit scruffy.
The picture quality is really good, even at night, number plates and finer detail can be seen clearly and the lens angle is wide enough to take in the whole road.
For the price I would have expected an SD card included.
Having gone from a basic front camera to this dual set up I definitely think it’s worth paying extra.

First of all, I’ve never had a dashcam before so this is all new to me. First impressions were of a solid, quality product well packaged. On first opening it up, I tackled the instruction manual. Not over-impressed with it, as it seemed to assume a fair bit of knowledge of these devices rather than starting at first principles, which was a bit off putting for a novice like me. I persevered, and managed to get it going in my car. I struggled a bit with the wiring, as the manual just said ‘tuck into the trim’. Well, easier said than done. It didn’t really tuck in neatly, and left the car looking a bit untidy. I realise this would probably apply to any dashcam, so it’s not a criticism of this model.
So to the camera – yes, it works fine. The picture quality is amazing – much better than I expected. But is such high-definition really required here? Nevertheless, it worked exactly as it should. But – so many options and settings! I guess many people would consider this a plus, but for me, I don’t really want most of them and found it rather confusing. For instance,I realised later that our conversations in the car were being recorded, which I hadn’t expected – took a while to figure out how to turn that off.
This is a premium product with many features and top quality video. It seems robust and well made. But I think I would have been happier with a more basic model. If you like gadgets with features, options etc at a top of the range price then I’d be happy to recommend this. But if , like me, you’d rather have basic tech which just does the basics with minimal user involvement, then I’d start with an entry-level model for a quarter of the price.
Can’t fault the device – it does all it says it can do very well, but too much for my purposes.

This is an excellent front and rear view dash cam which is great value for money. The build and finish is first class, the screen is bright and clear and the menu is straightforward to understand. The dash cam is supplied with a headlining tool which makes it easy to hide the cables beneath the edge of the vehicles headliner which provides a discreet finish.
You will need to purchase a “micro SD card” and also an optional “GPS mount” if you wish to use that function. There is also a handy USB port built into the power adaptor, this can be exposed for use by simply sliding the cover across.
As well as “automatic collision” recording, another useful feature is the ability to manually lock and save important data. Overall a well thought out quality product that does exactly what you need it too and in the unfortunate event of an accident can provide vital evidence and give you piece of mind whilst driving.
Very pleased with it so far.
Unboxing this camera and I knew I was in for a treat; the packaging is very ‘Applesque’ it oozes quality.
The look of the camera is not a let-down, even more oozing. The appearance from the front is of a good quality, but small 35mm TTL and the rear is basically all screen. A small tool is included to assist in hiding the USB cable behind the roof lining, it’s simple but effective.
The camera stores video at 4K 3840x2160P 30FPS, 2.5K 60FPS, or 1080P 120FPS. Number plates are easily read, which is more than can be said for a lot of the dash-cams available which scream 4K video but don’t produce the goods, this camera does, and the videos are nothing short of stunning. A card size of 512G can be used and Vantrue have preferred cards which coincide with my choices of cards of ‘not to use’ ones.
It sports everything required from a dash cam, parking mode which will monitor a 24 hour period and the sensors can be set at different values, collision detection – which I suppose really is part and parcel of the parking mode, but as a ‘shared facility, it works well. A ‘hard connection is required here, a kit is available if the 12v connector needs to survive the customisation! Loop recording, where the oldest video is overwritten except if it’s a reserved video from say, a parking bump or an RTC. It also will do a time lapse recording and join the photos into a video. There is also available a rear-view camera which plugs into this front view camera as an extra.
The clip on the windscreen mount is not an easy connect, but once done it is a super mount and doesn’t fall off. I also had trouble with the 5GHz wireless and could only connect using 2.4GHz, but that was perfectly good. I also have not yet been able to connect with the GPS tracking but I am working on it. I think the software could be easier to use, nonetheless this is still getting Five Stars for the build and video quality, I know it is an expensive dash cam, but you pays your money and take very few chances with this Vantrue camera. I will edit if I can’t get to grips with all the facilities offered, but so far, I am very impressed.

I will edit if I can’t get to grips with all the facilities offered, but so far, I am very impressed.

A great camera with lots of features. This is my second purchase in the Vantrue range and so far this is the best that I have used. The quality of the footage is fantastic. At 4K 30fps you receive nice sharp images/video making it easy to read number plates, road signs etc… These files can be quite large and so I would recommend purchasing a 512GB SD card for this. The night vision on it is very good as well and the cameras display a nice wide angle.
It also includes a parking monitor which will auto record when motion or collision is detected. An extra hardwired kit is needed to be purchased separately for this. I love the acoompanying app with this which allows you to preview and download any recorded footage directly onto your phone. With all the various video and picture quality settings, this is a premium purchase and I recommend it.
I’ve been using Vantrue since they started their business few years ago and this is my 3rd Vantrue camera. I couldn’t recommend it more. As expected everything went smooth from delivery in a versatile package to installation. The X4S Duo has fantastic video quality day and night, both front and rear and with the built-in wifi option you’ll have everything. It doesn’t come with a microsd card but you can use one up to 512Gb. I personally have already a 256Gb so I am going to use that, but in the future I’ll upgrade to a 512Gb for more recordings storage.
The installation and setting it up is pretty straightforward with everything in the box.
Overall I am very happy with this camera and I’m sure will have it for a very long time as Vantrue provides regulary updates to their dashcam’s software.
So if you want the best for your car,the X4S Duo it’s what you need.

It’s an incredibly amazing camera, I have been buying Vantrue cameras for my Car for many years, I had the DashCam Vanture N2S Pro which was a front and rear facing camera, and I have to say, this new release of the Vanture X4S DUO, is WOW!. Just incredibly amazing! It is 10 times better than my old Venture N2S Pro. I wish this was available when I bought my N2S Pro.
It shoots on a range of different formats, including 1920×1080 30fps or 60fps and 4K and my god, the quality will blow your brains out. It unbelievably amazing, rear footage, is also 4K, and wow it comes with a 20 meter cable so you can easily run the cable from the front of your car to the back, I haven’t managed to to run the cables just yet in my car for the rear camera, but I will do it soon. It’s like having a rear camera on at all times, you can see what’s going on behind your car, whilst your driving through the DASH CAM SCREEN, it’s pretty cool. You can either choose to mount, the dashcam on the rear view mirror or you can choose to mount it on the front, facing backwards so it records the inside of your car as well.
Images attached, of me unboxing the dashcam as well as using it in my car. Obviously there weren’t any reviews when I purchased this, but I have to say (IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY). I would definitely buy it again, and also convince family and friends to have one in their car. A Dash Cam is a MUST if your driving, you can be the safest driver in the world, and there will be someone on the road who is carless to cause an accident.
DashCams like this, help relieve all the stress out of an accident.
To run the footage on 4K, however, you will need to purchase the Samsung EVO Select 256GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 100MB/s Full HD & 4K UHD Memory Card with SD Adapter (MB-ME256HA/EU) –

Also has a 512GB storage capacity limit which is a huge plus point for people driving Taxis, as it will save more footage, also has GPS, you can also wirelessly connect your phone to the Dashcam and watch videos off it or even extract footage from it. It’s advanced technology to another level! Just amazing and honestly worth every penny. I’d highly recommend this dashcam to anyone.
BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!! You won’t regret it!
Quality for the front and the rear cameras on 4K, is just mind blowing! I’ve never seen such crisp and pristine quality for a dashcam.
Thanks Vantrue for making such a wonderful piece of technology, a highly advanced piece of tech in the market, only for 213, not to mentioned that there was a 25 on the page, that I used, so in actuality it only costed me 188.
I’ve got a 71 Plate Brand New Car, so this is a huge MUST for me, to have on my Car, and it would be a huge benefit for any road user, has a huge impact on insurance claims when that difficult time or situation arises.
