Hopefully this will help someone. The pump I use is the Bestway 7,571 l/H my pool is a Intex 17ft round 48in deep with larger valves fitted a Bestway Flowclear Automatic Pool Cleaner with an in wall skimmer. The media are these poly balls and only chemicals used are multfunction tablets which I put straight into the skimmer. Having used Intex /Bestway pools for 15years from experience I will say you only need to get one part wrong and your water will be horrible. This set up works perfectly the pump runs 12hrs a day. The water is tested every few days and I add a hand full of multifunction tabs when the chlorine starts to drop. I have a solar cover but only use at the start of the season. July onwards it’s mostly off. Hope this will help someone get the perfect set up.

We brought a hot tub last year and was discussing with a friend about the water being murky and they advised us to get these… no longer murky water but now crystal clear! We took a chance on this purchase and won! Obviously you still need to use the chemicals but these are a huge help in keeping the water clean!

Best thing of all you can rewash them and keep using them. Very ECO!

The sand was heavy and disgusting, these are much better, with the added benefit that I don’t get murky sandy water anymore, I don’t run the pump all the time, usually the water would be cloudy by now and it’s still crystal clear, so this product clearly works, still need other pool chemicals to keep the water safe though.

I have had a sand filter for a while and I hated having to replace the sand when it wasn’t filtering properly anymore. With these balls I can have them out and replaced in about 5 minutes . You can even throw the dirty ones in the washing machine to clean them and re-use them, saving a lot of money.

It’s simple to clean. We leave them in all the time because they absorb oil, then we take them out and squeeze them out (not in the pool or hot tub), then we put them back in and let them do their thing. They don’t turn brown or smell bad, but they do feel oily, and our hot tub has never looked so good!
You could, for example, wash them instead of throwing them away.
