Tips
- Keep the surface clean, prevent liquid from getting into the slider and do not immerse it in any liquid.
- The surface should be cleaned gently with medical alcohol.
- Use a small amount of micrometer lubricant to wipe the reference end surface and sliding parts.
- Store the caliper in clean, constant temperature and humidity, avoid high temperature, high humidity, dusty and oily places. (Attached with storage case)

I needed a small measuring device for my tool box, something for the “sub 100mm” range and this looked to be ideal. It arrived in it’s own protective storage box (so no need for it to rattle about in the bottom of the tool box) and arrive with a brief set of instructions and a bonus 150mm steel rule as well. Both the caliper and rule offer measurements in metric and imperial. Why not pick one of the numerous “digital” offerings? Because using one of these is really not that difficult and it’s always ready for use; there’s no battery which will inevitably be flat when you need to use the caliper and for which you cannot find the right replacement. Finally, “How accurate is it?”. In absolute terms I haven’t dug out any micrometer calibration blocks to test it against so I can not honestly say “it’s accurate to 0.01mm”. If you need that level of accuracy then use a micrometer. For me something in the region of “0.1mm” is perfect, and this will do that.
Good enough out of the box for regular work at home and in the shed/workshop and feild engineer setting. It’s a basic tool for measuring to the nearest millimeter. Perfect for it’s intended job. Won’t break your heart if you drop these down a shaft and loose them.
Fed up with buying batteries for my other ones and got this type as we used them at college works well and in a case very happy metric and imperial thank you ia

Per chi come me ama il fai da te, un calibro uno strumento essenziale. In officina ho usato calibri professionali di tutti i tipi e posso dire che questo per uso hobbistico pi che adeguato in termini di precisione leggerezza scorrevolezza e finitura superficiale.

Non ho nulla di particolare da dire, vevo bisogno di un calibro e ho trovato questo.
Al tatto davvero solito, non traballa ed quasi duro da far scorrere e per fare le misurazione lo apprezzo.
fonctionne normalement et des indications la fois mtrique sur le bas et impriale sur le haut , sinon rien signaler d’autre .
Acquistato il calibro per uso hobbistico. Molto soddisfatto del prodotto, preciso e solido.
13 quid for a vernier caliper. My expectations were certainly low when I ordered this, but it was only to tide me over while my mitutoyo digital calipers were repaired.
Obviously the first thing I did was test the accuracy of them against a Starett micrometer. 0.05mm difference on a 25mm test block. 13 quid. How can you get accuracy that close for 13 quid?
The only thing I don’t know is how consistent this accuracy is between different calipers, but mine are certainly accurate enough, and for the price I’ll be buying another set if I ever lose the one I’ve got.

Having now received it, I have absolutely no complaints. As others have mentioned, the thumb wheel is not a wheel, but rather a knurl. There is no discernible wobble/movement and the scale is correctly zeroed when closed. Would certainly buy again.
About me: I’m using this for measuring bike parts, etc. I’m not a mechanic and am not using this for engineering purposes. That said, I take pride in my tools.
I’ve had multiple electronic versions of calipers and somehow they all manage to lose their batteries, get rusty, and generally just not working when you need them.
These are the good old classic calipers that work every single time.
Nicely packaged. There is a light oil coating so I wish I’d had on glove when I first opened it. Oil washed off my hands easily. Since this is a precision instrument, I’ll be storing it in the box instead of loose in a drawer. Parts of it are sharpish. Nice feel in my hands.

Wow. When you see other similar calipers that are very expensive this price can’t be beat. I don’t have to worry about calculations for when I measure so I can’t say how accurate the measurements are but the quality of this tool is really nice. Has a nice weight to it.

I purchased this tool to aid me with my mechanical practical test. It took me a minute to understand how this tool is etched. Each tick mark is .025 of an inch, take you time to learn the tool. I much appreciate this tool being priced less than $20. There’s no need to pay $50+ for a non-digital caliper. Great tool for the price.
Bought these as I was fed up with the flashy digital one I had that eat batteries and I had to keep measuring everything four or five times as they weren’t accurate.
These have been a breeze to use, no nonsense and do the job fantastically.
Seems accurate- certainly for my every-day purposes.
Looks quite well made and comes in plastic case. Only small criticism is that it must be adjusted by manually pushing the slider as the apparent adjustment wheel is only for shows.
I’m sure there are better ones, but for my simple uses its very good.

It does the job to the accuracy I need. Remember it’s not calibrated so don’t use it for too precise machining
For what I need they are accurate enough. The jaws feel rough when they slide. While it looks Ok, It does not feel smooth. Some lube has helped, but does not feel as smooth as the expensive set I have misplaced.
But for the price, they are more accurate than my lathe work is. So would be good value for most users.
For the money, this works fine. I can tell the finish is not the best I have seen. But for the money, this will get the job done for any DYI projects around the shop or farm.
It’s heavier than it looks! This is a robust caliper that allows for multiple types of measurements — internal, external, depth, and *step*. The resolution goes to 0.02mm, but if you squint you might be able to guess to 0.01mm with some confidence for small measurements. Metal calipers tend to get rusty, so this one is properly coated with oil. You can remove the oil with some alcohol if you intend to keep it in a very dry place. The thumb hold does not rotate as I expected, but I can deal with it. The product is solid and I recommend it.
A quality tool , comes in a strong protective case and comprehensive instructions . Accurate ok for 1/10mm .

At the price it’s hard to fault. Operation is not silky-smooth but seems accurate and, for the price, good value.
These were purchased as a low cost replacement for a pair which I had mislaid. The first thing that I noticed was that the sliding motion was slightly rough which I attributed to a roughly ground surface. This was not a serious problem and although I cannot vouch for the accuracy, I liked the clarity of the divisions. They will do until I find the “lost” pair!!

Es un calibre metlico de cierta calidad, viene presentado en un cmodo estuche para protegerlo y su precisin es buena para usos cotidianos. Me gustara que tuviese los nmeros un poco ms grandes para verlos mejor, si va a usarlo una persona que no tenga buena visin le resultar complicado usarlo, para lo cual ser mejor uno digital.
La escala est serigrafiada en el metal, esperemos que no se borre con el tiempo. Ha cumplido mis expectativas.

I almost bought an electronic version of this and in a way wish I had now. My thought buying these is that they would last forever and never need batteries, which is true. They are well engineered and even smelled of oil when they arrived. But, for older eyes especially, the fine gauge is pretty hard to read accurately, so for convenience rather than nostalgia, I would probably recommend a cheap electronic vernier gauge instead, or at least start with one of those.
I’ve always wanted one but never had the need for one. It’s good quality.

A realy great product – as good as many several times the price.
Can measure both external and internal dimensions of pipes etc.
Solidly constucted and comes in a hard plastic box which fits easily into a tool box.
This measures in centimetres, milimetres and inches.
The only slight negative is that it divides the inch into tenths rather than eigths.
However as most things are metric these days this is not a practical problem.
Depending on your eye sight reading may be a bit awkward otherwise not too shabby .
For the money they are great. I only need accuracy of 0.1mm and these worked perfectly. Some people have been critical of the accuracy but if you want something calibrated to 0.01mm then expect to spend a lot more

Well product is made of good material very easy to read and the price was perfect. As for the accuracy it was off the measurement plate was screwed in with a large enough gap to be off .05 tries to remove the screws to adjust to measurement bracket although the screw are extremely tight. Maybe it was tightened to tight is a possibility. Over all the product is good and worth the money. If you get one with this issue just return it unless you have the equipment to fix the measurement mounted. Accuracy I put 4 stars after all it is .05

Pretty much all of the bad reviews are because people don’t understand how to read the vernier scale. This is a function of how to “manually” scale small measurements. If you aren’t familiar with how it works it can easily be researched on YouTube. There are hundreds or thousands of videos explaining how to use a caliper like this.
The caliper works as intended and is pretty good quality for the price. The only complaint is that it is a little “sticky” when sliding the jaws. This is due to cheap machining. This only takes off one star though, because of the low price.
It’s nice having something that doesn’t rely on batteries to be able to measure small things.
I needed a caliper to measure o-rings, nuts and bolts etc. This gets the job done and doesn’t cost much. Accuracy seems ok. I personally I have a very hard time reading the 0.02mm marks but then again my eyes are less then perfect. That said, I don’t really need that accuracy so I am happy with it. Highly recommended for a cheap caliper for home/diy use.
Non che ci sia molto da dire su un calibro, ma vi confermo che questo funziona bene ed costruito con materiali di buona qualit. E’ interamente analogico, quindi niente pile da cambiare o display che si possono rompere. Quindi potete tranquillamente maltrattarlo e lasciarlo insieme agli altri attrezzi senza preoccuparvi.

Si serra bene, senza che si intraveda alcuna luce o irregolarit. Lo zero ben raggiunto.
Tuttavia le punte e le lame da ambo i lati non sono sottili abbastanza da permettere la misura in piccoli spazi (all’interno di una filettatura, per esempio). Ma per questo ottimo prezzo, non mi aspettavo lame particolarmente sottili.

Este calibrador viene con una escala vernier 1/50 (50 graduaciones en 49 mm), es decir, una precisin de 0.02 mm. En este nivel, es necesario tener muy buenos ojos para ubicar la graduacin del vernier que est alineado con el de la regla. Por lo tanto, se recomienda un calibrador digital.
Pero tom un modelo manual, porque no hay batera para cambiar, no se descompone y su vida til es infinita.

I have to use a tape measure when using this caliper because the numbers are miss-aligned so there is about 3 to 4 mm difference, this can make a large difference to the accuracy of what ever I am measuring which should be 100% exact.

Case could’ve been done better though. It doesn’t open very easily, there’s nothing to hold on to when pulling the clips as they are fixed on the lid. Should’ve been hinged on the lid.

Les mesures de profondeur de perage (tige) et de cote extrieure sont bonnes, le Vernier permettant une prcision 20 microns (1/50mm), il a aussi une chelle en pouces que je n’utilise pas, mais il ne faut pas oublier de faire une mise zro pour les alsages, du coup.
I saw some other reviews mentioned that there was a wriggle to them but I haven’t found that. They are perfectly sturdy and pretty smooth running for what they are too.

Como podemos ver en las imgenes, la presentacin es austera: una caja de plstico que alberga, envuelto en ms plstico, el instrumento en cuestin. El Calibre o Pie de Rey viene debidamente lubricado, as que conviene ponerse guantes de ltex a la hora de usarlo si no queremos mancharnos las manos. Se deja manejar bien y al ser de acero inoxidable se alargar bastante la vida til del instrumento.
Sencillamente, todo cuanto necesitaba, lo he abierto cual nio pequeo abre un regalo de reyes.
