hey’re a tad tight and always trying to fold up on themselves… however, for the $ and usage in studio, they simply work well
I’ve been looking for headphones that blocked enough sound out so that I didn’t have to blast music in my ears while practicing. Finally these do the trick. I’ve tried other headphones and some that were designed for drumming did a very bad job at blocking enough sound AND were comfortable at all.
I recommend these highly if you’re looking for a practice set that isn’t too expensive!
Ear saving goodness. Tracking drums I found I didn’t have to crank them up like regular phones and made following that click a little easier and more pleasant and the click no longer leaks into the overheads. Some complained about discomfort, I however found them fine even after 4 hours of tracking. Love them. Sound quality is more than decent for this purpose.
Good noise cancellation while still being able to hear my drumming; perfect balance for me. Comfortable for longer sessions and durable so far.
They keep the audio track in and the acoustic drums tame enough not to tear your head off. Excellent for practicing.

just bought a new pair, it fulfills its promise to shield your ears form high volume, and way comfortable! don’t scoff at the cost, you can’t afford to not have these! had an older pair from about 7-8 years ago that held up very well, still worked as promised, gave them to my neighbor who just started playing cuz she was complaining of ringing ears and headaches from her drum playing, absolutely no complaints from her. they still do the job after all these years.

He probado estos monitores con mezcla y click y slo con el metrnomo (soy baterista) y en ambos casos el resultado es ptimo. La verdad, considerando que los in-ears son carsimos, y que es necesario acostumbrarse a tocar con un audfono un tanto aparatoso, pero cmodo, ligero y que aisla el sonido maravillosamente, son una gran opcin en relacin costo-beneficio.
I use them to practice acoustic drums to backing tracks. The isolation is just what is needed. Only thing close was iem. BT works fine, late nite tv listening great.
Isole mal par rapport un casque dit de “chantier” … Son audio ok, certainement plus adapt un enfant ou des petites ttes ….
So glad they made this product. Battery is great, sound is great, decent price, great for drums or just loud atmospheres.
Good overall, a little tight on my head. Hopefully they will stretch a little over time.

Absolutely fantastic for noise isolation while playing drums. However, very mediocre-to-bad audio quality on the low end frequencies. Also, the tight fit that helps with sound isolation also make them a little uncomfortable. Would probably order again, but they’re are better options for a higher price
Casque de protection pour ma petite-fille de 8 ans qui joue de la batterie.. j’ai hsit en lui prenant le modle enfant eu gard la taille ; mais je ne regrette pas de lui avoir pris le modle un peu au-dessus ; la dpense est justifie : qualit de la protection, rglage la tte facile et possibilit de brancher grce au cordon sur enceinte ou tlphone pour s’accompagner en musique … Ce qui est apprciable pour des musiciens ! Un conseil : retirer les boucles d’oreilles avant de mettre le casque.. au bout d’un moment c’est un peu douloureux (appui) . Sinon que du plaisir !
Made for Isolation not cancelation. Not made for long a listening sesh. Made to easily hear a mix in a loud space. These are clearly studio headphones not designed for comgort or audiophile. They are practical and sturdy.
My oldest daughter decided she wanted to play the drums a couple years back. She already played piano. That wasn’t cool enough for her. She picked up drums like she had been playing all her life. But, she has sensitive ears so she wanted noise canceling headphones so she could play whenever and not hurt her ears. These did the trick. I bought two sets. She likes for her guitar playing sister to wear them so they can both jam out.
I dont use these often. I bought them about a year ago as I was preparing to go into the studio to record drums. At the time I was also suffering from some sorta odd inner ear discomfort, and was worried that some of the reviews said these werent too comfortable. Fortunately, at the time, i got thru 3 days back to back, about 6hrs a day, with no issue. However I will say, they are tight, at least on my head, and there is a good deal of pressure on the ears. However, i removed the ear foam and found a very firm foam circle which I removed, and that relieved a bit of the pressure on the ear.
Isolation is good, but not perfect… though perfect isolation is impossible. Sound quality is good. Again, used them for 3 days with no issue recording drums, so I was able to hear the tracks to play along with, and not have them be drowned out by the drums right infront of me.
Build quality is solid as well. No issues so far, but again, they dont see a ton of use. Id recommend them.

If the ear cushions were 1/2″ deeper, this would have been a winner. The 25 db reduction wasn’t enough for me, a pair of Bluetooth earbuds (Tozo T10) and a good set of earmuffs (Howard Leight L3) is a better, and cheaper combo for me.

Bought these headphones after trying a pair my drumming guru mate had and was blown away by the quality and reproduction of sound this pair produced. I had used Bose for 5 years previously but these are such a good drum oriented set that they are the bew kings of the kit.
These headphones offer great hearing protection. I used to practice the drums with a regular pair of earbuds in, and I could sense that it was damaging my hearing. Sometimes I would use musician’s earplugs, but those aren’t great if you’re trying to play along to something. That was my motivation for getting these headphones, and I haven’t looked back since. I have had them a little over a year and I use them every day.
The sound quality is decent. In my opinion, these are ear protection and the fact that you can listen to music through them is a bonus feature. They’re great for playing along to something on the drums, but I wouldn’t recommend them as ‘listening headphones’.
They look pretty cool compared to other ear protection, so I guess that’s a plus.
My one complaint is that they are uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I usually take a 2 minute break after every 20 minutes of practicing because of this. You could probably get around this by putting some foam on the headband, but it doesn’t bother me enough to want to put in the effort.
Overall I’d highly recommend these to any drummer, even in light of the discomfort issue.

Pricey but very good set of phones which are a little better in the upper frequencies that the original model. They sit on the head quite snuggly some it may take some getting used to comfort wise for some people.
As a guitarist I want to play my guitar with the headphones plugged in without having to turn them up too much to compensate for the natural sound of the guitar. It’s not very loud, but I have sensitive hearing.
This product line seems to be marketed at drummers, at least on Amazon. I wanted a combination of passive sound deadening and inbuilt speakers because normal headpohnes of the type I was using didn’t block enough background sound.
The lead is a bit short. I’m standing up and I can’t really move around much so it’s not ideal. The ear pieces are too small to go over my ears. I had some old ear cups from another set of headphones that put between my ears and the headphones and my ears happily fit in those instead. Because they didn’t fit my ears they pressed a bit in the wrong places that wasn’t that nice and my ears started to get hot very quickly. The retrofitted ear cups fixed that. Different material, bigger space for ears.
I can still hear the electric guitar, but I don’t have to turn the amplified volume up as much to compensate.
I think they’re OK overall. They do the job I was after. They seem a little expensive when I’ve got cheaper, better sounding headphones and cheaper bigger sound deadening ear defenders, but I guess that’s a price you pay for a more niche product.
It’s a good idea though.

I orderd 3 different isolation headphones these were the best. I am a musician with studio time and my own studio.
I really was looking for something thart I could mow the yard with and (A) here the music and (B) not here the mower. “I’ve got a lot of land and a big zero turn mower”
I’ve used hundreds of headphones over the years. These have a flat response with a bit more of an empathis on the drums. “Go figure” lol
At this price you won’t find a better set of isolation headphones.
P.S.
The 3M isolation headphones suck. They have a safety feature that lowers the volume of the headphones and can’t be over ridden.
Bought these to use with the Alesis Nitro mesh.
I’m not an audiophile so this isn’t a professional review.
Works great connected to Nitro Mesh module, no need to run a headphone amp.
Blocks out a good potion of outside sound such as hitting the drum pads and cymbals.
I run Drumeo app via iPad into module then into headphones. No issues hearing music/lesson and drum sounds over top.
Only down side is they are feel a bit uncomfortable after about an hr for me but I am older. But I rarely are on longer that that.

I’ve owned a pair of these for about 3 years at this point and they see pretty regular use. To get right to the point, they are great at isolating you from outside sound will letting you listen to a monitor mix or music. The audio quality isn’t perfect but it’s not bad for the price, especially considering the other qualities of the headphones. I have a pretty big head and wear glasses and find them comfortable enough for extended band practices. They do eventually start to wear on you and need a break, though. I have other audio-focused over-the-ear headphones I can wear comfortably for significantly longer than these and it is for the reason that I’m deducting one star.
Ultimately, I bought these to protect my hearing and they do that perfectly. I developed tinnitus at a young age and am now very careful with sound levels. These have ensured no progression of my hearing loss thus far. Take care of your ears! The added features of being able to listen to your monitor mix is a bonus and I believe the whole package to be worth the price.

Very happy with these headphones. Kept outside noise out and very comfortable to wear. They are a exceptional buy for the money. I give them my recommendation.

Drumming is a great pastime, but as important as the drums, cymbals and sticks one chooses is adequate ear protection. And in my case, where my kit is housed behind a perspex drum shield to reduce noise to the neighbours, I am taking the full force of the drum and cymbal reverberations, so it is essential I have very good ear protection.
I received the ear defenders very promptly from Amazon direct and the first thing that struck me after taking them out of the box was how light they were. Placing them over the ears, they felt really tight, but then they need to be to do the job they are intended for — to reduce the volume of the drums to your ears by 25 decibels.
But despite the snug fit, they are really nicely cushioned and in just a few minutes I realized they were not uncomfortable. Now to test them with the drumming. Impressive. Everything is nicely muted, but you can still pick out the strokes and, equally as important, the metronome click. The holding strap on the set slides back and forth to accommodate the most suitable fit for each person’s head size.
These ear defenders are great value for the money and if you double the price you can get a set that you can listen to music on as well. In addition, there is special set for kids.
I have used Vic Firth sticks from day one for my drumming and I now have the perfect solution for protecting my hearing with these ear defenders — and at a great price too. Great buy. Five stars recommended.

They work great! My son is a drummer and he loves them.
The only reason I bought these headphones was the sound isolation. And the job is done. I used to use Marshall Monitor Bt headphones for playing my Roland electronic drums. Marshall pair is amazing but you can still hear the hittimg sound on the cymbals. With Vic Firth pair the problem is solved, no sound but the cymbals’ digital sound.
As expecting the sound quality is not that good for listening to music but for playing along they are perfect.
E che dire, ottime. Coprenti dai suoni esterni, bel suono bilanciato inteno, ottimi bassi. Le uso sia con metronomo sia in registrazione e coprono in modo giusto la batteria. In registrazione, mi faccio mandare tutto in cuffia, spettacolari e suono con un contrabbassista che slappa parecchio!!!!
