I’ve began filming music videos and the like, and this thing has been a game changer! The sturdiness is top notch and can be made super tall (and I’m 6ft5). The fluid head is must and is very smooth – it’s really improved my footage so far. Highly, highly recommend this!

Edit: Having played with the tripod a while, levelling has become a doddle. I realise now I don’t have to see the bubble over the dot. All I need do is centre the bubble in the black circle. Simples!

I got my first pretty decent camera in order to do some real estate photography. I knew I needed quite a sturdy tripod that was reasonably heavy-duty. After reading lots and lots of reviews of lots and lots of different styles of tripods, I finally went for this one.
I am glad I did! It really does feel very sturdy, and feels like it is made to a high standard. The camera sits very steadily on it, and the head is easy to use. It’s quite heavy to carry, but comes with a nice bag.
You can’t really go wrong with this tripod, in my opinion! Go for it! 🙂

This is a great tripod for the price. The pan and tilt mechanisms are really smooth and give great results. It’s easy to set up and transport. The only negative I’ve encountered thus far is when you set the camera in a stable position, it tends to tilt down ever so slightly under the weight of the camera and lens so you have to set it slightly above where you want to end up, but I may find a workaround for that by moving the camera further back on the plate. I haven’t had this for long. I’m very pleased with this purchase!
Sturdy tripod. If you need something strong and stable to hold your expensive and heavy ring (mine was around 5kg), you came to purchase the right product. Buy it without a second thought.

Well I bought a monopod from Cayer and got it working for me in my daily workflow, and I quite fell for the noname thing here. So no brainer to get the tripod, I already got a Neewer video tripod so the natural gravitation was towards getting a cayer. So ?! Well the stunning surprise was to get the kit without the handle that is supposed to be there ??? I hve contacted Cayer about this but the lack of this I think is something that needs to be adressed
Otherwise this is premium stuff in my eyes and the usability is very high …………sure if you can justify a sachtler then get that surely at ehh hmmm +1500euro

So far a very nice product that feels high quality. Tilting is very smooth and adjustable, panning takes alittle more practise for the operator. Only negative I really have is that the legs are not able to spread to get really low angle shots. (You would have to unscrew the fittings, that hold the legs together). For those setups, this might not be the right tripod for you. For all other setups, this is a really nice piece of gear though and the legs are extendable to a nice height to get high angle shots. Amazing value for money as an entry level professional tripod. Also comes in a nice and padded bag with two tripod plates and exchangeable screws! Def recommend.

I was very happy with this tri pod. Excellent value for money. Very sturdy, the head is very smooth when panning. I’m very happy with the height it can reach, I was recording a show recently and even though I was at the back of the hall I had no issue with people getting in my way as this tripod was able to reach a suitable height. The spare plate was also a great touch. I use a shoulder mount camcorder with it. Very happy with this purchase.

Buon cavalletto, conoscevo gi il prodotto, quindi un’acquisto mirato. Robusto e leggero, non pesante com ho letto in altre recensioni. Ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo.
Unico appunto il pacco non era sigillato.
Das Stativ ist fr meine Zwecke ausreichend stabil. Ich befestige nur Kameras darauf, die weniger als 1,5 Kilogramm wiegen (vorwiegend eine Lumix GH5). Fr meine Anwendungsflle luft der Fluid Head auch sehr geschmeidig. Die Hhe des Stativs ist beeindruckend und hilft enorm, wenn man aus der Menge heraus filmt, fotografiert. Deshalb ist dieses Low Budget Produkt fr mich genau das Richtige.
Jetzt die Dinge, die zur Abwertung gefhrt haben:
– Die Tragetasche wurde mit einem kleinen Riss geliefert. Das Problem trat auch schon bei einem anderen Rezensenten auf, der ber das Stativ ein Video verffentlicht hat. Ich dachte es wre ein Einzelproblem. Da meine Schadstelle aber an der gleichen Position zu finden ist, gehe ich davon aus, dass es von den innenliegenden Klammern der Verpackung herrhrt.
– Auf der Montageplatte fr die Kamera lst sich der Gummi am Rand. Das kann man selbst beheben, ist aber rgerlich.
In Summe ein gutes Produkt mit kleinen Abstrichen. Die Mngel lohnen den Rcksendeaufwand nicht, sind aber rgerlich.

This Tripod is very good value, I use it as a permanent position tripod for my Celestron 52306 Regal M2 100ED Spotting Scope which is quite heavy. You get a great carry case if you need it and a spare mounting plate that I use for my DSLR.

I had a few worries having read previous reviews about the locking system getting caught on the camera etc etc – but when this tripod arrived, there’s hardly any difference to a Manfrotto one I used to work with – the locking system on the legs is the only obvious change that this tripod has compared to Manfrotto.
Easy to set up – towers above me (6’1) so perfect for getting those shots in crowded areas.
Customer service was brilliant! Ordered before Black Friday, product was then discounted and they even refunded me the difference.

Der Fluidkopf lsst sich wie gewohnt nivellieren, die Libelle ist genau genug, allerdings unbeleuchtet. Im Lieferumfang sind zwei Stativplatten. Eine davon ist bereits in der Halterung des Kopfes montiert. Hier fllt unangenehm auf, dass bei einigen Exemplaren die Schrauben der Halterung zu fest angezogen sind, so dass sich der seitliche Knopf zum Lsen der Stativplatte nicht reibungslos bedienen lsst. Abhilfe schafft hier ein Inbusschlssel mit dem man die beiden auf der Knopfseite liegenden Schrauben etwas herausdrehen kann, so dass sich der Knopf reibungslos drcken kann.
Die Bedienung des Stativs ist soweit in Ordnung, der Kopf lsst sich sanft bewegen, wenngleich er tendenziell etwas schwergngig ist. Die Schrauben zur Arretierung lassen sich leider komplett herausdrehen, so dass sie bei unvorsichtiger Verwendung oder beim Transport verloren gehen knnten.
Insgesamt ist dieses Stativ absolut zu empfehlen – es erfllt in jedem Fall alle Anforderungen bis hin zur semiprofessionellen Nutzung.

Used the tripod for the first time to record a music event. Easy to set up. Good weight on the floor. Great height with the legs fully extended – and still felt sturdy and inert. Best video trip I have used and I will probably now have to invest in another one to replace one of the other three that I am using to get the same level of confidence in use. The panning was particularly good when I was zoomed into the subject. Better than my Velbon (still a good tripod) and my Jessops (too light and better suited to still photography).
Sturdy construction, fluid head works a treat. The only downside is the screw for tightening the camera plate – difficult to access and tighten with camera in place. Minor inconvenience for the price
Very sturdy, good height. Flexible and extra attachment is a real bonus. Best purchase for my Canon HF G40. would recommend anyone who wants to use it for video camera to record stage performances and want to avoid people who would walk in front or hold their phones high to spoil your recordings

I have never used a ‘professional’ standard tripod, having owned a Miranda (Dixon’s) tripod for many years. My budget wouldn’t stretch to the holy grail of Manfrotto, but this beauty is just great. It is a rock solid tripod. Quite heavy, but that’s part of the stability. I also love the height of this. At around 1.8m fully extended you can get ‘looking down’ footage for YouTube without having to stoop, which is more flattering than an angle looking up the nose! Watch Peter Homer’s video on youtube (also in these reviews somewhere). He convinced me and he’s right.
Mes camras assez lourdes sont bien fixes, la fluidit de la tte est correcte, tout est rglable dans tous les sens, la tte est monte sur grosse une rotule qui permet de la positionner l’horizontale (prsence d’un niveau bulles) bien que le trpied soit dans une autre position (cas de prises de vues sur des terrains escarps).
Un sac assez pais permet de transporter l’ensemble en scurit.
En conclusion: un matriel au rapport qualit-prix performant, une qualit de fabrication correcte pour une utilisation raisonnable.

Not big on reviewing but thought I would for this. Cayer BV30, its a really good tripod for the price. Extends REALLY high, very sturdy and the tilt and pan is pretty smooth. Amazing for the price! I use it for video production.
Prodotto che non teme il confronto con altri di fascia molto pi alta.
Alcuni parlano di pesantezza del prodotto ma ad essere sinceri non la noto cos tanto ed inoltre mi da un un senso di robustezza e stabilit, che a questa cifra un fattore decisamente positivo.
Ovvio che paragonato a prodotti di fascia alta ha le sue pecche…ma per rapporto qualit prezzo, rimane un ottimo prodotto. Non posso lamentarmi. PS. Se non fosse stato per la mail del venditore non mi sarei mai accorto della piastra di scorta.
Dieses Stativ macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck und kann sicherlich mit den Groen mithalten, auch die Tasche ist fr diese Preisklasse ungewhnlich stabil ausgefallen. Leider passte auch hier meine Kamera nicht drauf. Die Panasonic DVX 200 hat einen etwas breiteren Body und schon stt die Feststellschraube der Kamera Schnellwechselplatte beim festschrauben an das Gehuse der Kamera von unten und kann nicht festgezogen werden. Sehr schade, ich htte dieses Stativ wirklich sehr gerne behalten, dieser Konstruktionsfehler sollte unbedingt behoben werden.
Bestens gelaufen gerne wieder! Konnte das Stativ leider noch nicht ausprobieren, habe es ausgepackt und aufgestellt und bin sehr zufrieden. Es sindalle Teile vorhanden! Dan ke!!
Il pacco arrivato perfettamente in tempo. appena arrivato e a primo impatto sembra un tripod che pu benissimo essere confrontato con prodotti analoghi di marche pi blasonate nonostante l’enorme differenza di prezzo. Molto robusto, stabile ed estremamente versatile. La confezione contiene anche, oltre a quella montata sul tripod, una seconda piastra a sgancio rapido e delle brugole. Molto soddisfatto!

I needed a sturdy tripod for shooting video in a studio-like environment where weight isn’t an issue. I bought this tripod because of the many satisfied users here at Amazon and I can say that it has been a positive experience so far. The quality of the tripod is excellent considering the price. The video head could be smoother and better, but you can replace it with a better head later on if needed.

Just bought 2 of these tripods to replace a couple of older ones and decided to go for these after reading the reviews. Couldn’t be happier with them, used them a few times already and they are as good as my much more expensive manfroto tripods.
Il cavalletto si presenta solido e robusto, lo stativo da solo varrebbe la spesa; la testa pure solida, in tilt va benissimo, in panoramiche orizzontali parte un po’ scattosa ma per quello che costa non si pu pretendere di pi. Fate attenzione alla “bolla”, io ho dovuto farmi sostituire il cavalletto 2 volte prima di riceverne uno con la bolla tarata bene

Eccezionale come sempre Amazon rapidit e correttezza delle consegne. Ottimo treppiedi con testa veramente fluida che consente movimenti senza scatti e con qualsiasi velocit, stabile con allungamento al massimo molto alto m 1,84 cm (consente riprese di oggetti dall’alto). L’unica pecca lo sgancio della videocamera che non ottimale visto che avviene a scorrimento e pone ad es. problemi per bloccare uno spallaccio. Lo sgancio ottimale sarebbe stato quello con alloggiamento laterale e blocco con vite.
I really enjoy using this tripod. The fluid head works great, the tripod is very sturdy and I do not fear my camera falling a second, no matter the wind conditions. I have been using it for a year, and it still functions and works like it did when I got it. Nothing has been worn down or broken off, and I really enjoy its durability. I think its a good buy, and you for sure get a very nice tripod for the money you use.
There are one con to this tripod (and a minor frustration):
It is quite heavy, so don’t expect to carry this thing around for a whole day. You will not enjoy it. The bag that comes along does not help to this as the strap makes it difficult to carry.
The fluid head looks like a manfrotto RC2 quick release system, but I have not been able to find any information whether to the two systems match. I also have some arca swiss mounting plates, and the two systems do not match – so consider which system you want to use if you expect to grow your equipment-empire 🙂

Der Stativ ist sehr gut geeignet fr u.a. Fotografen, die Stitch Panoramas mit “Panorama Nodal Punkte Kopf” gerne machen. Fluidkopf luft “wie geschmiert” – meine Sony Ilca68 + Sigma 170-500mm merkt der Stativ nicht mal! Auch besonders gut fr Vogel Fotografie Preisleistung Verhltnis: genial! ( nur um sonst wre billiger ). 5 Sterne und klare Empfehlung!
Ok, it’s not a Manfrotto, but for the money, it’s surprisingly good. It’s not a tripod I use every day, so couldn’t justify the cost of a Manfrotto. Can’t comment on long term build quality, but it seem well bolted together. It’s not the lightest, but then this adds to stability, the head is surprisingly smooth and well balanced. Yes, there will always be someone out there who gets a Friday afternoon tripod(not so well put together!), but I can only comment on the one I bought. If you want high build quality, materials and consistency of product, then by all means pay three times the price, but if it’s a piece of equipment you’re not using daily, then this tripod is worth a go.

Io sono alto 190cm e il treppiedi completamente alzato mi superava mi un po’.
Nel complesso lo consiglio a livello professionale visto il prezzo non tra i pi economici.

Aber das ist nur der Ersteindruck. Um eventuelle Schwchen klar erkennbar zu machen, habe ich das Stativ ausfhrlich mit verschiedenen Brennweiten bis 600mm getestet und dabei zum Vergleich auch andere Kpfe fr Fotografie und Filmen montiert.
DREIBEIN:
Das Dreibein habe ich mit dem Manfrotto 028 sowie dem Manfrotto 117 verglichen, die zwar beide etwas lter, aber immer noch bei ambitionierten Amateuren und semiprofessionellen Filmern beliebt sind — sowie bei Fotografen.
Entscheidend bei einem Dreibein ist die Verwindungssteifigkeit. Sie spielt insbesondere bei langen Brennweiten eine Rolle, egal ob man fotografiert oder filmt. Beim Fotografieren sorgt ein stabiles Dreibein fr weniger Vibration durch den hochklappenden Schwingspiegel der Kamera, was zu schrferen Bildern fhrt. Beim Filmen kommt es zu einem geringeren Rckfedern am Ende eines Schwenks.
Obwohl an den Auszgen des Cayer-Dreibeins Kunststoff verbaut wurde, ist seine Stabilitt hnlich gut wie die des Manfrotto 028. Beim Fotografieren und bei leichtgngigen Schwenkkpfen war nicht einmal ein Unterschied zum Manfrotto 117 bemerkbar. Erst bei schwergngigeren und fr das Stativ eigentlich berdimensionierten Schwenkkpfen hatte das Manfrotto 117 die Nase deutlich vorne.
Das Manfrotto 028 hat hnliche Abmessungen wie das Cayer und beide Stative bieten einen zweiten Auszug fr eine hohe Kameraposition. Nur durch seine Kurbelsule kommt das Manfrotto 028 nochmal rund einen halben Meter hher.
Diese Kurbelsule sehe ich auch als den grten Vorteil des Manfrotto gegenber dem Cayer an. Denn sie erlaubt eine schnelle Feinjustierung der Hhe, ohne dass man die Auszge verndern und das Stativ erneut nivellieren muss. Im Studio oder bei Produkt-/Modell-Fotografie ist das unverzichtbar.
Im mobilen Einsatz hingegen drfte sich der Gewichtsvorteil des Cayer bemerkbar machen: Das Dreibein wiegt nur 2,8kg, whrend das Manfrotto 4kg auf die Waage bringt. Auch lsst sich das Cayer auf unebenem Grund durch die Kugelschale schneller und einfacher nivellieren.
FLUID-KOPF:
Sinn eines Fluid-Kopfes ist es, weiche Kameraschwenks zu ermglichen. Hierfr wird in der Regel ein Fett (das “Fluid”) ins Gleitlager eingebracht, das durch seine Zhigkeit fr eine Dmpfung sorgt. Leider schwchelt der Cayer-Kopf an dieser Stelle durch zwei Eigenschaften:
1. Der Kopf ist sehr leichtgngig, die Dmpfung also zu schwach (und auch nicht einstellbar). Um einen weichen und gleichmigen Schwenk ausfhren zu knnen, muss der Kameramann schon ber sehr viel Gefhl verfgen (oder geringe Ansprche haben).
2. Vor allem aber schlft der Kopf beim horizontalen Schwenken ein, wie ich es nenne. Das ist ein Effekt, den ich schon des fteren bei preiswerten Fluid-Kpfen festgestellt habe: Bewegt man den Kopf ein paarmal hin und her, ist es unmittelbar danach mglich, einen Schwenk weich beginnen zu lassen. Lsst man den Kopf einige Sekunden unbewegt stehen, scheint sich das Fluid zu “setzen”. Beim Schwenken gibt es dann einen Anfangswiderstand, der zu einem leichten Ruck fhrt. Dieser macht sich bereits bei mittleren Brennweiten bemerkbar.
Da ich berwiegend auf lngeren Brennweiten arbeite, ist der Cayer-Kopf fr mich daher zum Schwenken ungeeignet. Eventuell lsst sich das Problem beheben, indem man den Kopf zerlegt und ein anderes Fett einsetzt. Da sind dann die Bastler gefragt.
Ich habe das Cayer nun mit einem lteren Manfrotto 136 bestckt, der trotz seiner hheren Bauform immer noch in die Kameratasche passt. Damit habe ich fr das Drehen mit DSLR-Kameras eine leichte Kombination, die sich schneller aufbauen und nivellieren lsst, als es es mit den Manfrotto-Beinen mglich war.
FAZIT:
Aufgrund des Fluid-Kopfes kann ich trotz des tollen Preis-Leistungs-Verhltnisses keine generelle Kauf-Empfehlung aussprechen.
Wer als Bastler bereit ist, mit einem zheren Fett im Fluid-Kopf zu experimentieren, oder wer auf der Suche nach einem gnstigen aber guten Dreibein mit Kugelschale ist und fr den Fluid-Kopf eine andere Verwendung hat (so wie ich), wird den Kauf sicher nicht bereuen.

Ein sehr gut laufender Fluid-Head auf einer 75mm Nivellier-Halbschale.
Gut gleitende Stativbeine mit einer Mittelstrebe.
Zwei Schnellwechselplatten werden mitgeliefert. Zustzliche Platten kosten nur 9,99 Euro.
Mit einer Hhe von 185cm. ist das Stativ sehr hoch und dennoch stabil.
Von mir, absolute Kaufempfehlung.

I am a creative content producer and program maker, who uses cameras on a very regular basis. This BV30L tripod by Cayer is first rate. Having used it recently for the first time I can honestly say that I was very impressed. The height that this tripod can extend to is really impressive, and that gives great scope for filming opportunities. I had my Panasonic pro camcorder sat atop the tripod at full height and not once was I concerned that it would drop or topple over; it is very stable.
The fluid head is very smooth, both on the X and Y axis…and you can get some nice pan shots. The quick release plate is very generous size wise and gives a good base for your camera/corder to sit on…and it locks in place securely without problems.
It’s a solidly built piece of kit, and it feels like it is made to last; it also feels very good quality. Overall this is a top quality tripod that I would have no problems in recommending.
Mi piace la solidit, la stabilit e la manovrabilit della testa fluida priva di scatti. L’ho usato per riprese fotografiche statiche e in movimento. Resiste molto bene grazie alla sua struttura anche a piccole raffiche ventose senza bisogno di zavorrare. Un po’ ingombrante visto le dimensioni, ma con la sua sacca in dotazione lo si trasporta senza problemi. Un ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo. Do le meritate 5 stelle.

For some reason my last review seemed to have been deleted, but anyway, great product. Been using it for a few months and it does the perfect job for me, and holds my camera 3kg+ nicely. Its a shame you cant stretch the legs out a bit more to make it more stable, but this isn’t much of a problem generally. Also came with 1 mount plate, no spare, but this again isn’t an issue for me, luckily.
Anyway, great product, 5/5, very good tripod and definitely competes well with the bigger names. Its super sturdy, a nice weight, has a nice carry case, and the head is very smooth to pan.
Would recommend.

Es slido, buenas patas de goma. Los cierres de las patas son de plstico pero no se ven endebles. La araa central da mucha estabilidad a las patas. Los paneos son suaves y alcanza bastante altura. La funda es funcional y la calidad general se ajusta al precio que pagas.
Seul bmol: le pied est livr avec une housse. C’est bien mais sa qualit laisse dsirer car la fermeture clair a lch ds la premire ouverture… peu important pour nous mais il faut le signaler.

Cons;
There is a second knob on the video head that has to be turned to lock the camera in position. You will have to slide your camera on to the head and once the camera is on the head, it will not fall forward or backward. Then there is a quick release button which will only hold the camera on the head without securing it. You will have to turn the second knob which is very closer to the camera body to secure it. If you slide your camera fully in, you will find this knob difficult to turn, because the knob will touch the camera body (right hand side of the camera where you have hand grip to hold the camera body) and you will not be able to turn it and lock. I had to slide back the camera a little and then adjust the knob to secure the camera, its tricky, but you can do it once you get used to it. May be small camera body will succeed. So this video head has no quick release system like a Manfrotto video head where you have one knob to use easily to release the plate and also to lock the plate without the need for a second adjustment.
Overall this is a very very good video tripod for professional use and also good value. I would highly recommend this product to any professionals looking for a sturdy tripod.

Buscaba un trpode estable sin importarme el peso y que al tomar un plano con zoom no tuviera retroceso al soltar la cmara.
Esto se consigue con productos de alta calidad, normalmente caros, pero mi aficin no profesional me mantiene fuera de estos rangos.
Las patas son muy estables, an ponindolo a su mxima altura, y la rotula o bola que para m es lo mas importante, es suave en el giro, pero con un “pequeo” rebote al soltar, pero con este rango de precio es aceptable.
Estticamente puede gustar ms o menos, (la textura del mango me parece fea). los materiales en las partes importantes son metlicas, viene con una bolsa muy robusta, con las asas contrapesadas para que lo lleves horizontal.
La caja en la que te llega esta muy reforzada, y el plazo de entrega correcto.
En resumen, lo recomiendo por esta franja de precio.
