Great bow for a big out bag. Lolight weight. Low cost but sturdy. Easy to put together or breakdown and put in you knapsack. Great for prepper of survivalist bug out bag. The arrows are tough and the tips are replaceable.
I was looking for the smallest takedown bow available with passable hunting capability (small game only) for a survival kit. This was one of only two 52″ takedown bows I found on Amazon that appear to be real tools rather than just toys/garbage. The other one (by Monleap) seems like the identical bow, judging by the photo, but this one came with rabbit fur string silencers/dampers which are practically a necessity for cheap takedown bows. These bows tend to vibrate like crazy which is hard on the hands in addition to scaring away game. I ordered some limb silencers separately.
The arrows are decent. They are 30″ which is a little longer than ideal for my draw but close enough. They have no markings of any kind, which I like. I measured the spine to be about 500 which is well matched to the 30lb bow. They came with standard 100 grain removable field points and rotatable nocks.
The riser of the bow is only cut about half an arrow diameter past center, so in order to center an arrow it needs to rest right against the riser. The plastic arrow rest that comes with the bow will prevent that without some modification. It took me a few minutes with a drill and a pair of side cutters to countersink the threaded hole in the riser and trim away most of the plastic arrow rest to get a decent setup that has the arrow centered and provides enough clearance for the plastic vanes as the arrow goes by. I may fashion a better arrow rest in the future, but this was a quick fix and seems to work well enough.
I deducted 1 star because the arrow rest was unusable without modifying the bow and the arrow rest. People unfamiliar with how to tune a bow will try to use it without modification and their results will be terrible because the arrow cannot be centered.
The finger glove and bow stringer went straight into the garbage (after I salvaged the paracord… you can never have too much paracord ;-)).
The quiver is half decent. I don’t need it for my survival kit but I will likely use it for target shooting.
All in all this package is a great deal if you know how to make the necessary modifications to tune it.
everything is made with quality just the dispatch time was litle slow, still givin 5 sta
Zb. Standhhe Nokpunkt!!!
I love this Bow. I can hit same spot on target time after time. A very good all round bow.
Bow itself is nice for the price, solid riser and shoots pretty good. String comes pre waxed too. The arrow rest doesn’t have a bolt for securing it on the otherside which caused it to slip after several shots, but new rests of that type are only a fiver so no big deal. The glove and beaver fur was a nice touch and the quiver is actually pretty good quality for part of a cheapo set.
Main issue is the arrows which are absolutely terrible! Most of them cracked at the ends very quickly or the head just plain stuck into the target. The arrow nocks also snap incredibly easily! I’ve only got like 2 of them left after only a few sessions.
