I’ve used more than 10 different types of ear bud style earphones over the past 10 years both wired and wireless. I use them for motorcycling and general gym/fitness/travel etc.
These are hands-down the best earphones to date. They fit great and have plenty of accessories in the box if you need to change the ear bud or ‘wing’ size. They don’t move at all in the ear and I can easily take my motorcycle helmet on/off without dislodging them.
If the fit was good, then the sound quality is truly amazing. A deep rich bass and crystal clear treble. The onboard equaliser makes a genuine difference and of course you can tune the sound using your mobile device equaliser.
Great product, well worthy of 5 stars.
They are very good. I’m pleased that I bought them BUT, there are a few niggles. First, the good stuff. They are good value for money I’d say. The sound quality is decent for music. Just don’t expect them to match up to more expensive earbuds. When I had to take an unexpected call one day, that’s where I was very impressed. The person on the other end didn’t know I was on earbuds so that’s a big win for me. I use these mostly for listening to podcasts at night though so they are perfect for that. I also like that you can control the volume with them. Until getting these, I could only do that on my much more expensive Sony’s. In terms of just normal usage, some of the other less expensive earbuds I’ve bought would cut out if I’m in bed an turn one ear into the pillow, like they were losing connection to the other bud, but these don’t do that. It’s a big plus for me.
Now, the bad stuff. The main problem is with the right earbud. I don’t know if it’s just that this one is a bad one but it doesn’t snap into the magnetic charger like the left earbud does, so sometimes I’ll put it into the charger and the left one charges but the right doesn’t because it’s not making proper contact. I have to make sure I press it in and see the light come on, then it’s okay. This might be because of the next problem. The little sleeve that fits over the right earbud just doesn’t fit properly. It’s really annoying, so it slips around when I’m adjusting it in my ear to hook it in place and the sleeve moves around and always needs to be adjusted so I’m not fully confident it’ll stay in my ear properly. I think I need to glue it in place because I have to adjust it so often that it’s loose now. The same thing happens with all the right earbud’s sleeves that came in the pack. Then there’s the moving between tracks. I may have missed this in the manual but I can’t see how to go back a track using the buttons. I can only skip a track forward but not back. I use this feature a lot on my Sony’s so I expect all earbuds to have it. But, because I use them for listening to podcasts in bed, rather than music, this isn’t too much of a problem for me. But it would be a nice feature
I know that sounded negative but overall, I’m pretty happy I got them. I’m even slightly tempted to get another set to see if just got a set with a bad right earbud.
Considering the price, these pods are amazing. Quality is top notch, comfortable too thanks to the great selection of interchangeable ear buds and retention bands. Can’t complain about the sound quality either. The bass is tremendous if you select it and the 3 different pre sets are very useful. Battery life is incredible and the charging station is great.
All in all, definitely recommend.
I’ve tried 3 other types of earbuds and returned them all before I tried these. Quality of these are really really good specially for the price tag. Fits really good in the ears and blocks about 80% of outside noice. Hold charge for long time. I’ve being using this for more than 2 weeks now and I don’t have anything negative to say about these.
Really good product and worth the money.
Good ear fit that can be adjusted with inbox extras supplied.
They paired up instantly & ready for use.
Sound is good, bass can be a little over powerfull on some tracks.
As I bought these for gym workouts this not an issue for me.
IPX7 water resistant is another bonus & 35hrs battery life will be more than enough for most.
Overall this is a great value quality product for less than 40-00. If you can get with a voucher price is around 33-00, bargin!!
I have a few soundcore products all of which I’m satisfied with for price paid.
I read dozens of reviews prior to my purchase and a really don’t think paying over the top for some brand names is justified.
Granted there aren’t masses of features but if they good out of the box why would you need them !!
Nice one Soundcore keep up the good work
++Easy to use; variety of buds for ear size; good battery life
— the wing desn’t fit well; some improvement in design might help
These are now my go-to earbuds for outdoor activities, shopping and in the gym. They’re always in my pocket, just in case I need to shut myself off from the world.
The battery life claims stack up (90% left after an hour’s loud use) which means I just don’t worry about using them for long periods. I’ve had these for nearly a year now and battery life is still holding up.
The bass-heavy inbuilt EQ mode adds a good amount of proper low end bass and makes them sound better than a lot of more expensive earbuds. The AAC support also adds to the sound quality, better than a lot of earbuds which only have SBC.
The Bluetooth link is really reliable and it’s very rare I hear dropouts.
They’re not noise cancelling but the noise isolation is good, especially if you use different ear-tips.
Other reviews have commented on the unusual button use (single press for volume control) but to be honest, it makes sense when you’re in the gym and you need to adjust the volume easily.
Phone-call quality is not quite so good but not terrible. One problem is that a single button press *doesn’t* change the volume in a call, it disconnects the call! So that’s a bit odd.
Overall, thoroughly recommend these, at 40 they are an absolute bargain!
Purchased for my mother who is now in her 80’s and not overly comfortable with technology.
As we exit the Global pandemic lockdown, my mother is going heading off to visit my sister overseas, she wanted a pair of headphone to listen to music but something simple and reliable as she is a technophobe. Also she usually finds this type of in ear headphone uncomfortable.
Having a pair of Anker soundcore earbuds myself I took a punt and purchased these as a Christmas stocking gift. The fit her very well, she has been able to wear them for long periods without discomfort. I paired them to her phone, it is now the end of Feb and she has been smashing the pants out of her Amazon prime music subscription for the last couple of months. No drops out and she has not once needed to re-pair to her phone. She just removes them from the case pops them in her ears and they work.
I can’t comment on the sound quality and noise cancelation, as I have not used them, my mother thinks they are great but as she is over 80 I am sure the sound profile she requires is different to many younger people. Saying that my niece borrowed them one day at the end of January, as she could not find her Ipods and she now has a pair. You have to bear in mind she is an Apple-ite so everything Apple and Iphone is better then anything else in the world. So for her to ditch her really expensive and relatively new Apple airpod pro’s in favour of the Anker Life A1 speaks volumes.
Took a while to get due to Amazon loosing deliveries but finally arrived. Took the little box out, plugged in to charge to find it was fully charged – awesome. Theres a little plastic tab under each bud in the box so that they are not continually trying to charge before being sold which is a good idea. Pulled these out and the buds were fully charged too – even better!
Pulled out the buds which make a nice little sound to say they are turning on as you place them in your ears – they already have the wings and an ear rubber on each. Went to bluetooth setting on my phone, clicked on the buds and they connected straight away. Popped a song on and and was impressed with the result.
Went to supermarket, which is where I always use some kind of headphones, and they connected straight to my phone as soon as I popped them in my ears. They’re reasonably comfortable and found that the fit was perfect straight put of the box. Had no issues all round the store.
Sound quality is pretty good, bass is nice – not too over powering but its there unlike most other buds I’ve had. Now don’t get me wrong, they’re not Bose quality and that’s not to be expected for this price but I’m more than happy with them.
Not tried the wireless charging yet due to them being fully charged but they’ll get another test tomorrow as I’ll be working in a noisy equipment room so fingers crossed for no more tinnitus from the noise if a thousand fans running.
All in all I’m very happy with my purchase so far and will post an update if I encounter any problems.
Long battery life, good sound quality and controls. Not perfect but better than the same priced rivals.
The battery life on these things are immense. The quality is that of products worth over 100. The charging case is simple and easy to use, no pins like other earphones which cause charging issues. There is no noise cancellation other than them plugging your ears but that’s not what they’re sold as.
They are quite simple worth every penny. Buy these you won’t regret it. Thank me later.
Wow, I wasn’t expecting this.
Hi World, hope you are all OK and staying safe!!!
So I own another set of “true wireless” earphones by the same company, only those cost around 120, I saw these and thought they could maybe fix a prob I have with the other ones, being that they fall out or come lose all the time. So I thought while the price is good I will give them a go. Not expecting much I charged them and paired them with my device, which was super easy and took no time at all. I put them in my ears (didn’t even have to change the rubber bit that goes in the ear) and adjusted the other rubber “wing” that keeps the bud in place, then music… And wow, I literally haddnt changed a single setting, was straight out the box, and the sound was amazing!!! Full, base filled, clear sound, I was gobsmacked. I moved around a lot while wearing them, went shopping etc, they didn’t move once. I can’t recommended these enough!!! Even the charge/ carry case is slim and small, and capable of being wirelessly charged. Talking of charging, it’s super fast too. Honestly, try these out, you will NOT be disappointed.
I hope this helps someone, take care all, and stay safe.
These are the best EarPods I’ve ever had, really great sound quality and quick connectivity. My one and only gripe would be that they occasionally connect to my phone when they’re in their charging case, but I won’t mark it down for that as you could be paying a whole lot more for the quality these bad boys provide. Highly recommend!
I had a pair of ear buds but they were connected by a cable, the biggest prob was the battery life,
The first thing I noticed was the sound quality, just so much better and with a charging box just perfect for the journey to work, or listening to music late at home fantastic
My main goal was to try some buds but did not want to spend over 100 for something that was over hyped.
I cannot comment on noise cancellation as not really had this feature before but as emir buds are placed into ear they automatically reduce the sound around you so unless you want perfect silence maybe a more expensive option would be better.
A great start to using new ear buds and a good cost so worth the investme
I must admit upon reading reviews. I was concerned with the bass being over-powering, especially as some audio equipment can over exaggerate the bass which can be irritating. With these earbuds it wasn’t the case. I listen to reggae and r&b so these buds are perfect for me. As for the 3 sound settings, there isn’t a huge difference but I noticed
one setting had a deeper and heavier bass another setting had slightly smoother sound and the other sounded clear with higher trebles (or tops) with a nice deep but not annoyingly overwhelming bass. I have the audio settings on my phone on custom similar to the last setting I described earlier. Phone calls are clear and the instructions are easy to follow. I’m looking forward to trying with other equipment as I know I will be just as pleased as I currently am with the Wireless Soundcore by Anker earbuds.

I’m on my second set as first one’s stopped automatically connecting. I hate the fact that I’m constantly having to remove rubber ear part’s in order to get a connection with charging connectors. The second set have now stopped working as a pair and only work singly. So basically they are no longer earphones anymore!
Sound quality is very good noise cancellation work well but take some getting use to how the button controls work however the battery life is superb so far have them last my entire workday before needing to recharge
if i can sum this product with one word i will say:
Battery.
It has great battery i never manage to ran out of it, and i can use my wireless charger, feature is plenty for the price!
Sound quality is really good, 75% volume is loud enough in a busy gym environment,
Build quality is respectable, i like clicky button control rather than touch.
fit is comfortable and secure, It’s not coming off even during HIIT session.
Only complain i have is there’s led indicator outside the earpiece that not turning off when wearing it.
When I bought this product, I was looking for small, good quality and easy to use wireless headphones/ear buds. It’s fair to say that this product exceeds this.
The sound quality is exceptional, great for physical activity due to the good bass; as well as 3 optional equaliser settings. This allows you to be able to get the best sound quality for music, podcast, workout etc. going off product quality, I also love how well they stick in your ears. I often have problems with the conventional, ‘air pod’, type design staying in my ears. These fit perfectly, especially with the fair amount of extra ear grip pieces. The charging pack is fairly good quality, the only thing I wasn’t too keen on was the hinge, it feels quite flimsy, but will hopefully last a while! Further, the battery life with the charging pack is perfect! I always have and will use Anker for portable chargers, and they haven’t disappointed with this element.
The only negatives I have on this product are, like above mentioned about the case. It doesn’t feel like the most amazing quality, especially on the hinge. Having said this, the product is relatively cheap as far as ear buds go; this is me being pedantic. The main fault I have with this product, which for me is quite an essential one, there is no way I have found to disconnect them from a Bluetooth device from the headphones. Turn them off and on again, they’ll auto connect. The only way I have found is to disconnect from the connecting device which is sometimes a bit long winded. This is obviously if, like me, you want to use your earbuds with multiple devices. On that note the controls could be improved, but equally there isn’t much you can do with two buttons. So on the other functions, I think a fair job was done.
All in all, I think this product is exactly as advertised and is perfect for most, if not all, activities you’d use them for. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who is searching for a good set of earbuds. If you are a person who will be constantly changing devices, bare in mind what I said about the connectivity. Realistically though, it’s not that hard to disconnect from the device.
I had Samsung galaxy pro buds but they were stolen so I had to get a replacement. These were what I went for since I still wanted great sound but also not be breaking the bank for something that is more likely to get lost/stolen. My expectations were blown away! These sound better than the Samsung buds did!
I only gave 4 stars for noise cancellation since the buds did have a feature allowing you to toggle active noise cancellation and these don’t have a fearure like that. I’ve not had an issue with background sounds distracting from the music, I don’t hear them usually since I play music with high volume. These seem to do what you need them to here though.
Honestly you won’t be dissappinted with these little guys! You can afford to lose them with this price but they feel expensive and have great features. GET EM!!
I purchased these at a reduced price of 29.99 and to be honest they are worth that and that alone I would have been disappointed to have paid any more than that for them, the sound quality is good the bass a little disappointing i have tried all eq settings and the 2nd one seems to be the best all round quality. Battery life so far is good, having tried other Bluetooth Earbuds I was surprised at the fantastic range these earbuds have without the connection dropping. It comes with a wide range of different sized buds and wings to fit a range of different ear sizes, although if you have small ears I don’t think these are for you, they connect instantly to your paired device, the buds require a physical push to pause, play ect which is great! my previous ones where touch sensitive and I was forever accidently pausing accidently, in summary for the price I paid I am very pleased with them so far, will update later if anything changes
I trusted Bose, and paid full price. Had to return them. These fit better, have a better isolation and the controls work better and the best is, it is 1/4 of the price. I just hope the A1 last more than the a month working.
Definitely not audiophile level headphones, but they’ll do. Huuuuuge amounts of bass, so most of the time I use the “acoustic” setting, which sounds most natural.
The rubber bits that hold the plugs in your ear constantly fall off or move, and usually prevent the plugs from charging in the case unless I move them out of position or remove them. Pretty fiddly and a pain, but not unusable.
These are a little heavier than most of the ear buds I’ve tried – felt a little odd in the ear but soon got used to it. I had to change the tips which is unusual for me but plenty of options and the 2nd smallest ones suited me fine. Battery life is excellent – not tested them beyond 5 hours but they seem to go down about 10% per hour on max volume which is great. I wear one at a time when out walking, so unlikely to every run out of juice between the two and the charging case. I prefer the push button to “touch” – but would have like a basic play/pause and call-answer on both sides. I’ve been caught out in the rain, and no issues at all. I listen to mostly audiobooks and podcasts, so maybe less fussed about sound quality than most, but it sounds AOK to me. Price varies wildly on these – if you get them at the bottom of the price range (paid 28) then a real bargain.
These buds are great for the price and with the 3 different EQ settings they are suitable for most music/podcasts/audiobooks. The case is quite long compared to other TWS buds I own but they are not overly cumbersome. The case has a nice matt finish to it. And the buds themselves are nice to look at they fit perfectly out of the box and I have quite big ears and they were as snug as a bug. But if you need they have another 2 wing sizes in the box which are S,M,L along with different bud tips. XS,S,M,L,XL. So you should find no problem getting the perfect fit. The microphone is kinda what you would expect with in ear buds it works fine and even on a busy road with cars going by my voice is easy to pick up on the other end. But just be aware that buds with a stem will have better mic quality such as the airpod design. And the battery life is more than sufficient I’m getting just about 8ish hours at full volume so they are spot on in the advertisement on battery life and with wireless charging and fast charge with a cable it’s great. And so I would say that all in all for 40 I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a low to mid price range TWS earbuds. that these should be your pick. No question..
I used it for 2 weeks and the sound quality is great. I found tow difficulties on these earbuds. LED light on the earphone is constantly blinking. I was not able use it in bed, it disturbs next person’s sleep. And the earbuds are pretty big . It was painful for long time use. But i got the best sound quality for the price range. Bass qualty is too good.
Good all round headphones apart from fit. Tried all combination of sizings and could not get them to feel totally sercurer whilst running ( would spend most of the run adjusting them) just ok for walking about. Would not buy if your after headphones to be active with or could just be me.
I love products by Anker, but buying wireless earbuds, was something I was sceptical about. Purely from a quality and price point of view.
I have more premium pair by a company who sponser the Mercedes F1 team, and so these Anker ones, are purely going to be used for my motorbike commute.
My needs were simple, they had to be slim line, so they didn’t foul my crash helmet, offer good sound, and have good battery life.
The reviews from a video site, gave me hope, so I took the plunge and purchased them.
I was initially impressed by the packaging, very compact and well designed. Plenty of adjustments possible, with the help of different ear rubber’s, and the wings for the back of the ear.
Having selected the right sizing, time to pair. Easy peasey. Take them out of the case, and they go straight into pairing mode.
Link it to your device and you’re off and away.
Sound wise, very impressed again.
The buds are controlled by the push buttons on the buds themselves. Play, pause, skip etc, and the 3 stage equaliser.
A triple push on either side, will adjust the equaliser, through 3 possible settings.
Play a favourite song, and adjust the equaliser to your liking.
I’m a heavy metal lover, and found that the signature sound, was best for my genre of music.
The quality of the sound is actually very good. I found them to be crisp and low tones were heard too.
They have a premium feel and sound, for the not so expensive money outlay. I am impressed and they appear very comfortable from the off. They meet my needs too. Very slim in the ear, sound good and battery so far, is living up to good use.
Would I recommend them to my friends?….Yes I would.
My son got these for his birthday, he loves them. He wears one when he’s walking home from school as the noise cancelling is good so he needs to be aware of what’s going on around him. He likes the one-touch track skipping and double tap call ending. The only thing that slightly bothers him is having to speak louder than he is comfortable doing due to the microphone being so far away from his face. This makes his voice quieter hence the need for him to speak louder.
Firstly I have to tell you not an audiophile and someone with an acute ear for the slightest imperfection.
Having said that, I have tried various sets of earphones in the past with most of them being sent back. I have bought various ones from the good, the bad and the downright ugly and I have finally found a set of earphones that sound great without breaking the bank.
Although I may wear these around the house and during journeys, they were bought for and are mainly used in the gym where they pump out enough volume that I need to turn them down to prevent me getting a headache. There are lots of fitting attachments so I was able to swap them out to find a perfect fit for my own ears. So staying in my ears was not an issue provided that I fitted them correctly in the first place.
It is easy to remember how to use the controls for changing the volume by touching the earpieces, selecting the bass boost level and moving forward one track.
The earphones when not in use fit into a small case with a built in battery which also charges them. You charge the case with the standard USB style cable which comes with it.
I had no problems Bluetooth pairing these with my iPhone, the treadmill in the gym which also has TV built into it and my laptop.
I don’t think these headphones are noise cancelling but when fitted correctly they do blot out a lot of noise. There doesn’t appear to be a passthrough feature so that by pressing a button you would be able to hear outside which is a feature normally only found on the more expensive earphones anyway and to be honest with you I don’t want to hear anything or anyone else so that for me is not a problem. So if someone does want to speak to you you are going to properly have to physically remove the earpiece from your ear at least stop the music.
I have been using these for a few weeks now regularly at the gym and I’m definitely happy with them and would recommend them. They appear to be waterproof but to be honest with you I’m not going to test that out by wearing them in the pool but certainly they haven’t become affected by the perspiration often is associated with strenuous exercise.
Using it as a hands-free for taking phone calls is generally okay as well and nobody has complained that they can’t hear me and as with music, there is plenty of volume 7 you can hear the caller.
So for once I am very happy and satisfied with something that I have bought because I am additionally quite picky (notwithstanding what I said at the beginning) about anything to do with technology.
So I would 100% recommend that you give these a try.
The first thing to note is that setting up these headphones is extremely straightforward and quick. From opening the box to using the headphones, I was good to go in 5 minutes!
After this, you quickly notice that the sound quality of these headphones is incredible considering the price. Don’t expect 500 quality, but these certainly rival the galaxy buds or apple earned I’ve used in the past.
While I thought the headphones controls were broken at first, I quickly realised they’re not touch-based, but instead click-based. From there you can control volume, accept calls, pause/play, etc.
Worth noting these headphones are not aimed at phone calls, so background noise pickup isn’t great and I wouldn’t use that for more than a quick reply. But for my use-case in the gym, these are great. Loud, and they provide plenty of earpiece options to ensure they don’t fall out your ear.
The battery life on these headphones is surprisingly strong, given some heavy use from myself. The portable case provides plenty of extra juice too. I’ve yet to test the wireless charging of this!
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great daily driver!
Good little buds fit nice and snug took dogs out in pouring rain and no hat wore these all the time got totally soaked but they worked a treat. It was the ipx7 rating that sold these and i am not dissapointed .
As much as I enjoy the quality of the earphones after 6 months of usage, the one massive problem is the microphone (with both buds being used). I get told to speak up more often than not in calls. So much so, that I decide to take calls like normal.
The buds do fit well but they can easily slide out after a bit of movement, so just be aware of that at times.
I have now used these buds for a year. Using them mostly for regular runs. They are very good. Once you get the right bud and ear lug combination to suit you. Comfortable for the couple hours I need and stay in place with only slight reset every 20 mins.
Sound quality is very good for the price when compared to other sport headphones I have had at this price. Not as rich when compared to high end phones 4x the price. There are three levels to choice from. For spoken word broadcasts the middle setting feels right while for music the full bass is best.
These are good sound isolation but not ANC which allows me to hear some but not intrusive traffic noise when running. The volume can go as high as likely every required.
The controls are clever with just a single button on each ear. Once you remember the press combinations you can control it all from the buds
Battery life is very good and the wireless charging case is awesome allowing around 10 hours + playback before the box needs charging
Only weakness is the ear lugs or cuffs. These are a fine silicon rubber and can slip off the bud particularly when sweating. I see this as a design weakness and would consider a different design when needing to be replaced. If the silicon was more integrated to the bud then I would say they were perfect.
Firstly I must say that I absolutely adore these. I was a bit apprehensive about buying them as I hadn’t used true wireless before. I didn’t know how well they would fit, they are great. However I stopped using the earwigs because they kept coming off. But they have remained comfortable. The volume controls aren’t the best because you need to press the earbuds to pause, skip, play. This pushes the earbuds into my ears which I find uncomfortable, but it’s a small thing. Also the earbuds don’t pause when taken out of the ears, maybe a deal-breaker for those that require that feature. I often pause directly on my phone so it’s not a problem for me. Then again it would be silly of me to expect premium features considering I only 32 for these. I use them often but sometimes I feel my ears getting a bit fatigued so maybe don’t use them every day, alternate with headphones when possible which is what I do.
The technical stuff, the charging is fast and efficient. I use one at a time so I utilise charging time. Not 100% certain that it does charge my earbuds fully x3. I like how compact the case it, feels very fragile so one needs to be very careful where you leave it. They fit well in your ear without falling provided you have the correct earbud in each ear. Left in left, you get the idea. Otherwise it will be really uncomfortable.
Overall a very good quality product by Anker. If you want premium features consider looking at the other soundcore earbuds. However if you want great sound, long battery for your walks, commute, work day, then these Soundcore earbuds are for you.
Well having had a number of ear buds I had an idea what I wanted. Battery life was top of the list as based on experience you can only expect to get about 90% of what is claimed and down to 70% by the time they are a year old. I needed a new pair because I lost one of the set that I had. So next is price because if you lose one the remaining stuff is just e-waste. How much are you willing to put in the bin ? These are the best I have had. The sound is good they fitted out of the box and are comfortable to wear. The Bluetooth is the best yet. I can leave the phone and go into another room and close the door and they still work fine. Not sure why anyone would pay 5 times the price when these do everything you need at a great price. Would recommend without question.
hese are super comfy and stay in place really well i usually find in ear headphones quite uncomfortable or difficult to stay put so these are perfect!
you get extra covers for them that are different sizes to also help with getting the best fit which i absolutely loved
the sounds quality is 10/10 and even on a lower volume the noise cancelling aspect is spot on!
easy to connect to your phone and the wee battery indicator lights on the front are great
have been recommnding these to everyone i know as they are just amazing
I use this on the treadmill frequently. The earbud never tipped off from my ear. Sound quality and passive noise blocking are good. The only con is it can only connect to one gadget at once. Since no button for Bluetooth search, you have to disconnect it from the cellphone or laptop to connect it to another gadge
Great value for money, the noise cancellation and noise isolation, Are not the best in the world but, as long as your expectations are reasonable.I think for the money they are great value. I like the wireless charging case makes it easier to charge them at night and the lights are very good indicators of how charged they are. Most importantly they are small enough to use at work and not be noticed.
I’ve been using these every night since they’ve arrived as I love to fall asleep to podcasts.
For the price, the audio quality is superb and also the build quality is great but that is expected of Anker as they always make top quality products for low prices (I own too many anker products).
The only downside to these earbuds are the always flashing notification LED on the sides of each one to indicate they’re on. This is fine during the day but they’re surprisingly bright at night which is quite a pain in a very dark room.
I’ve managed to mitigate the issue by using small pieces of duct tape over each LED although it would have been nice if this wasn’t needed.
I highly do recommend though but just be aware of the light.
So far they’re really great, the sound quality is really good, it stays on your ear pretty easily and it’s basically a charge and go. The only downside is that I can’t find the right ear size for my right ear on the cones available so it doesn’t seal like the other ear but I find this to be a common problem among earphones, overall a great pair of wireless headphones and definitely worth it at the price I bought it and for its original price as well. The changeable EQ modes is a nice touch as well.
These are really good earphones at one thing – staying in your ear! The shape of my ears seems to lead to most earphones falling out, but these really stay put, thanks to the wingtips which come in multiple sizes for different ears.
The sound quality is decent but not excellent. For example, EarFun Free 2 are a similar price to these Ankers, but even I as a non-audiophile can tell that the EarFun sound distinctly better. So I use those when I’m sitting still, and the Ankers when I’m moving around. That’s fine – I can live with unspectacular sound while I’m doing a DIY job, cooking or whatever.
One lesson I learned is that you need to get the wingtips in exactly the right position to fit in the charging case, and this can be a bit fiddly. If the wingtips are a little out of position, the buds will go in the case bit not make contact with the charging connection. When you’ve got it right, you’ll hear a sharp snap when you put the buds in the case and the magnets pull them onto the charging point.
I LOVE these earbuds because each can be used independently. I am using one while the other is charging. This is because i am mainly using them for podcasts and audiobooks. My audiophile partner says the sound quality is not as good as his other earbuds and even I can tell that the bass is not as deep as with his buds.
Comfort wise they are a bit bulkier than my previous ones and after wearing them whole day – as i regularly do – they make my ears a bit sore.
i agree with some other reviewers that I would swap the controls for volume and play – play/pause are normally the most important funtion. Because I am using buds separately, it would be great if both buds would have the same controls, including for volume control. If because of it i had to give up another control, the equalizer is the one i would sacrifice, to get both volume up and volume down on both buds.
i love the long battery life and clear voice prompts and the quick charging.
This was the third pair I bought as I knew I could find some good value for money somewhere. These completely fit the bill. I haven’t tested the waterproof ability yet but the sound quality is superb with really good bass. The controls will take a bit of getting used to but having the volume control (which many don’t offer) is so useful. They’re really comfortable and the loop at the top is designed to prevent the bud from falling out. A great design. I’m really pleased that I think I will buy all my friends a pair for Christmas.
Do you have weird shaped ears? Are Airpods either falling out, or hurting your ears? Do you no longer trust to buy any wireless buds, because you’re worried they won’t fit? I have been in your shoes up until using these babies. I bought the 3rd gen Airpods, my first true wireless buds to go with my new phone. 169 spent, just for the tragus’ of my ears (the cartilage) to hurt after 5 minutes or so. That, with it just barely holding onto my ear has seriously put me off.
I gave these earbuds a go simply because the design reminded me of the hearing aids my grandma uses and they always fit so well in her ears. And oh boy, my main issue is prying them out of my ears, because they are holding on for dear life. And above all:they are comfortable, no pain, no pressure!
TL;DR: they are comfortable, and secure, no pain, no pressure.
Sound: it is not for audiophiles, but for the price why would you expect such quality? Their sound profile will please most people: mid-heavy, punchy bass, can get real loud. V-shaped sound, very warm and frankly a bit muddy sounding, even with the three different EQ settings. Again, 9 out of 10 people will love it, do not get discouraged by this! To use it at a loud gym, which is what I’ll be using them for this sound profile is excellent. And the passive noise cancelling is out of thid world! Since they fit so snugly, they are incredibly effective in filtering out thr ambient noise.
TL;DR: sound is decent, not great, not terrible, but ehat it lacks in sound makes up with very good passive noise cancelling.
I wasn’t expecting much from these earbuds as they are quite inexpensive compared to my AirPods Pro. But they are brilliant, great sound quality, fit perfectly in the ears, they don’t budge for an entire workout, and I have the peace of mind that sweating won’t damage the earbud. The sound quality really is superb and I honestly do not notice much difference between these and my AirPod pros!
They are very comfortable, don’t even notice them in my ears when I’m working out. They rarely ever need charged as the case itself holds a lot of battery (can also be used as a power bank).
So if like me you were worried about ruining your expensive earbuds, and wanted something actually waterproof, these are for you!
My intention was to get earbuds for work – in case of loss, damage or whatever- to not regret.
First impressions
Nice, premium feel packaging. Content inside amazing, variety of rubber inserts, USB charger and nicely secured small black box – actually smaller than expected. Small earbuds with rather stiff rubbers. Base rubbers fits snuggle and stay in place – I see why rubbers are so stiff and I find out as massive positive aspect. Buttons works very well, connection with my Flip 3 solid and stable.
Now, what’s most important – sound quality.
Mostly listen thrash metal – therefore bass response, tightness and clarity are must!
I have Bose soundsport and Jabra 75t – Anker is cheapest – 1/5 of bose and less than 1/2 of jabra.
Anker with bas eq options is very nice, bit boomy and less clarity than Bose soundsport – and absolutely destroying Jabras. 8/10 I would say.
Than podcast thing eq – to me is like flat response studio monitors- kind of, with lots of clarity. Perfect for listening tracks and analysing for my guitar practice. This is not possible on bose soundsport, and slightly better than Jabras.
Haven’t listened enough third eq setting to review it just yet.
32 for this is absolute steal?! Not quite bose soundsport but, not far away. In the other hand this things destroys Jabras ?!?!
More test will come. Especially battery life and sturdiness.
I love this earbuds?! I don’t care about noise cancelling, hearing through or other stars, moons and planets. Music quality adequate to the price is what’s make me happy.
Now i am seriously considering buying another anker stuff. I would gladly test over ear headset and compare it to my studios Audio Technica Mx50 and Dr dree Studio 3.
I have soundcore products at home so I knew their sound is great. But I couldn’t believe how great it is at this level of price. The equivalent level of sound would be Boss or Jabra in 70-100$ more in price.
I was also surprised that unlike I expected, it is functioning very well also in phone calls (something I didn’t really believe it’d do) so that’s another win for soundcore.
So why 4 stars you ask? because after a while (and not too long), it really hurts in the sides of the ear, in the inner side. They come in a whole lot of different sizes for different earbuds, but the structure of the headphones will hurt you eventually, and that’s a shame because, besides this point, it’s a perfect product.
If I had to choose, and I don’t have spare money, I’d buy those headphones again, even with this disadvantage.
I have just received mine and trying it out. I have had so many of these earplugs as they are brilliant on a day to day basis (I keep losing them and having to replace), I can safely say that the sound is great. It is definitely noise cancelling, light weight, comfortable, and surprisingly enough it looks expensive for the price. But one down side which made me disappointed and might mean that I might return them is the fact that any company would build earplugs with a feature to skip songs but not to go back if you wish to listen to a song again, given the amount of control you are able to have only by touching the buttons without having to go to your phone screen. Meaning, whenever you wish to go back and listen to a song again, say, at the gym, you have to reach to your phone. This is beyond me! That’s a real shame as at a face value I quite like it! If you don’t mind that feature not being available then this is the one to go for!
Not gonna break any world records, but damn they’re good, I got them on sale at around 30 I believe, for the price I paid I’ve been daily driving them since for work and travelling, I will say the volume doesn’t go as high as I expect and I wish they had controls for previous track and not just next track. Can’t complain really the bass is good and the customisation of the ear tips and the surrounds for better fit in your ears allows them to fit near enough anyone comfortably (with reasonable use, would not recommend rewarding them longer than 7 hours)
I was searching for new ear buds since my last cheap set died after 3yrs of use, I considered all the big boys such as Sony, Bose, Apple, but all had issues with what I could see in the reviews, so after lots and lots of research(and because they were on offer) I decided to purchase these, and I’m really glad I did, I’m not a music connoisseur, but enjoy listening to it especially working out in the gym, they seem very well made and connected to my Samsung phone easily enough, nice touch to know the battery level on my phone, its good to know that they connect and power up automatically once removed from the case, and vice versa, note that the sound level on these are very loud and the bass is very good too, now I have only started to use these so it’s too early to tell about reliability but so far so good, hopefully they will stand the test of time in regular use, overall though very pleased.
Right, the cost of these were 40 so I wasn’t expecting really high quality but they are! Sounds great, comfortable and a excellent battery life.
I have a set of Bose ear pods over 200, did have as my daughter now owns them hence me buying these.
I have Bose headphones, which are really good but being honest, I dont use headphones anymore.
I have 3 sets of PlayStation headphones, turtle beach, 800, 600 and PS5 so I guess I know about sound quality as I need to hear footsteps.
My Mrs has the apple pods and she even agrees that the soundcore sound better..so these will probably get taken off me as well now!
Bottom line, costs, sound quality, fit and battery life.these are perfec
I will aim to review these ear buds in a couple of months once I’ve had a good bit of time to get used to the actual sound itself and got more familiar with the actual controls for volume etc. Hence only a 4 star rating as not 100% as yet. No idea about what noise cancellation actually means but IMO a scoring of 4 means I can hear through them fine even in a shop for example with their music blaring away! Sound quality and volume control are woth 5 stars IMO. The instruction manual is straight forward and easy to reference any aspect of the controls.
I would recommend these as opposed to spending a mere fortune on branded names. I have a collection of Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth earbuds (that are wired together) and most being decent brands. But this is the first set of not so well know branded 100% wireless earbuds, which I got for 32, cheapest set of earphones I’ve got for past few years.
Walking: Living next to the sea I’m blessed with a beautiful bit of scenery along the cliffed coastline. I have tried on many occasions with headphones, Bluetooth earbuds, you name it I’ve tried it and never found it meets the views so always just turn my sound off. However, I have done a few walks listening to my favourite music with these earbuds on and have never felt the need to switch them off or fiddle about with them as can work the controls easy enough and the controls actually work. Have had lots of decent or rather stupidly high priced makes of headsets in the past and I just switch them off due to either the sound being affected by wind/rain etc, staying on my head, unable to use the controls properly .. the list goes on so very surprised that a complete wireless set of earbuds have kept the sound well and have never fallen out!
Doing stuff in the garage: Working on my motorbike just now in the garage, fairly secluded so have the ability to use an old sound bar from my tv. However when it gets a bit later or at the weekend when folk are around I’ve been using these ear buds in the garage. They stay attached to my ears all the time and don’t even notice I’ve got a headset on and they do not restrict me doing any physical work.
Public Transport:
Being a proud owner of a free bus pass I venture into town couple times a week for a wander round shops and some pub grub. Again never feels like I’ve got a headset on! A quick tap on a bud pauses the music when I speak to the bus driver, then off I go to sit down and listen to sounds again. Very easy, nothing dangling round my neck or fumbling about to hit a pause button. When in town I again physically forget I’ve got a headset on and again easy to pause when I go in a shop or bump into a mate and so on.
So some examples where I have used these buds so far. Ever since I bought them they just come with me as they are very easy to carry about. Previously I’ve had earphones/headsets hanging all over the place and more than likely to just not bother with any music and just left headsets at home. The batteries seem to last the duration of around 4 hours. Maybe more as after a few hours I do put them in the case for a bit so can comment on the longevity apart from they seem to last as they have never run out.
Overall, on the sound aspect, they are very good and certainly in respect to sound and comfort they beat over the ear headphones and the ‘wired’ ear buds I’ve had in the past ( done a comparison recently with a few old ones I have kicking about… ). I have not mastered the earbuds EQ device as yet, just use controls on my phone just now. They are good for staying in my ears, which surprised me to be honest. Very comfy and minimal feeling of having a set of earphones on!
Very happy with this purchase as never had such stability in a set of headphones ranging from the quality of sound to how well they comfortably stay on my heid 🙂
I bought the life A1, which are earbuds designed for an active lifestyle, including sports, or gym use.
These were bought to replace a pair of more expensive Jabra 65t which disappointingly stopped charging after only a little while. That said, I really liked the Jabras, but I was curious to try these out by way of comparison, as there were good reviews and they were literally half the price.
The sound quality is absolutely exceptional for the price, despite using only SBC or AAC, BT5, the soundstage these earbuds achieve is incredible. Fit is really good too, and the standard medium size buds out of the box fit into the ear well for me, and with a slight twist you can really secure them in place well, a clever design.
They do have an EQ setting, but I found that the standard balance that they use is the best, and bass boost eq tends to be a bit overwhelming, and acoustic eq a bit thin.
In my opinion the only way you could make this better is the inclusion of aptX or LDAC,for music playback.
Update: Call quality is very good indoors, BUT they seem particularly susceptible to wind noise outdoors – not a big issue for me as music quality is my primary consideration.
Nevertheless, what Anker have achieved here for the money is exceptional.
I’m in two minds about whether to give these 4 or 5 stars. 4.5 would be fair. I wanted a pair of decent wireless earbuds to use with YouTube on my iPad so as not to disturb other people in the room. I wasn’t too bothered about the overall quality so didn’t want to spend too much and these seemed to fit the bill. The reviews were good but I didn’t know what to expect as, to be honest, I usually associate Anker with phone chargers. As it turned out these are excellent. The sound quality is much better than I expected – so much so that I started using them to listen to music on my phone. This is where they drop a star for me because they can’t connect to two devices simultaneously. Maybe it’s a bit unfair because they do everything else well – they charge quickly and keep their charge for a long time – although I usually throw them on a wireless phone charger and I haven’t come close to running out yet. They fit well and don’t drop out of your ears. I never use them for phone calls and never will so have no opinion about that. Some people complain that they tinny – they’re not. They are quite bright but there is plenty of bass for a nice balanced sound, although the better you can seal them in your ears the better they sound. Overall I’m very pleased with these and, at the price I paid, I think they’re a bargain.
Chapter ? in the search for decent Bluetooth ear wear!
Had been running a set of Bose for just over a year…longest anything has lasted so far, but inevitably they failed, so needed to find some replacements fairly quickly.
Searching on through, came across these Anker Life A1s… and boy do they deliver!
IPX7 rated.Sweat has been the downfall of many a pair of buds!
Comfortable, the are a bit smaller and neater than the Bose
Good sound quality. OK not quite as good as the Bose, but on an early morning jog,or at the gym, you don’t need high end Hi-Fi?
Wireless charging case means I just have to put the case on a pad and away you go..simple!
Is this end of my search for great buds?
Don’t know, but the are very good.. so living in hope
To sum it up. If you’re on the fence, just get them.
I love decent bass for my music and these certainly deliver. I’ve been borrowing my girlfriends Powerbeats pro for a while now but I have to say I was never that impressed with the bass quality.
I very rarely take the time to write reviews, but with so many choices on the market and looking specifically at reviews for decent bass quality, you don’t know what to go for really. I took a punt on these because I thought for the money, it wasn’t the end of the world if they weren’t all that good. I’ve got to say I absolutely love them and I won’t be borrowing the Powerbeats anymore…
The fit is perfect for normal ears and you get three different sizes for the outside rubbers for different ear shapes.
– Beware if you have tiny ears though (probably the same for all buds of this type) My girlfriend has quite ‘kid sized’ ears and they didn’t fit in hers.
Also the case is a lot smaller than the beat’s but still with 35 hours worth of charge. Photo attached.
Easy to pair too. As soon as you take them out the case they are ready to pair. If you’ve already paired them, they pick up immediately and you’re away – again much quicker than the beats.
All in all, I’d have difficulty faulting these buds even for three times the money they actually cost.
I have done around 7 runs in these and can confirm they sound great and stay in the ears very well.
So, why do I write ear placement in the title?
Dependant on how well you seal these earphones, will depend on the sound you get.
If you seal them well you will get great bass response. I listen to rock and it’s the perfect amount to give a powerful sound. However.
For a run this creates a problem as the seal means you can hear you footsteps in your ears. While this happens with all headphones, this is pronounced the better the seal in your ear. This is where placement comes in, I don’t jam them in my ears as much for a run. This leaves you with a less bass but almost eradicates any footstep noise in your ear. I also whack the eq settings to the highest bass settings.
All in all these are a massive step up from the Apple EarPods or the MPOW D8 I had previously.
Is there any cons, yes, they are very minor. There is no previous track button. On occasion while running I like to listen to a particularly good track again. On these headphones you can’t. Finally, the next track option is accessed by a double tap on left headphone button. I would have expected this on the right, however double tapping here pauses the song.
These are tiny cons in the scheme of what is a kick ass pair of headphones. Also pretty great that they charge wirelessly as well.
Awesome
I’ve had loads of earphones & headphones over the years. I work professionally in the audio world so use everything from custom in ears to high end open and closed back headphones, so feel somewhat qualified to give an opinion.
Fit:
Can’t complain here. Various size tips and wings to achieve the correct fit. The tips being the part that go into your ear canal, the wings fit over the body of the earphone and help hold it in the concha of the ear. They are made of a soft to touch silicone. I’ve always preferred foam ear tips for comfort and fit, but they gather dirt, breakdown more quickly and are difficult to clean. For a pair of daily earphones the silicone is a more sensible choice.
I’ve only had them in an hour so can’t comment on long term comfort. Keep in mind you will want to spend 5 or 10 minutes trying different combos of tips and wing to find a good fit and seal. Creating a good seal between the tip and the ear canal will absolutely transform the bass level and overall volume. The body/wing part are more for comfort and to ensure they stay in place.
Sound:
I was pleasantly surprised at this price point. Not overally toppy, good bass, plenty of volume (make sure your phone/device is sending full level, and then control the level of the earphones themselves). I think there’s about 18 “clicks” of volume settings on the headphones. For music I have it set at around 9 (half way).
A little bit of distortion with SUPER strong bass but nothing bad. Stereo image is decent. I can’t really see it getting better at this price.
There are 3 EQ settings. The soundcore signature, bass booster & acoustic. It doesn’t tell you what you’re on, so you kind of have to figure it out. Clicking from bass booster to acoustic is the most obvious so you know the next setting will be back at soundcore signature. I’d say the soundcore signature sits somewhere between acoustic and bass booster sound wise.
Isolation is pretty good for a pair of earphones without active cancellation. Plenty of isolation for me. I don’t like to be completely detached from my surroundings so although i’ve given it 3 stars from a isolation performance perspective, for me personally it’s a 5!
Features:
I turned them on, my phone found them and connected straight away. They magnet into the charging case and light up to show you’ve seated them properly. Take them out of the case and they reconnect if left on. Front of the case shows the battery left (temporarily) when putting them away. Wireless charging by putting the case on a wireless charging pad works well.
Value for money:
High scores on this. I was getting ready to spend 100+ on a pair, but as it’s really only for commutes and general listening I decided to have a punt on these. No regrets so far!
Pros:
The sound quality is way better than expected at such a low price.
Build quality of the earbuds themselves are very good.
A lot better battery life than Airpods
Comfortable to wear.
Cons:
The lid of the charging case does feel a bit flimsy and is very loud when been closed.
It produces some beeping noise when been charged wirelessly.
Switching between different devices requires manually disconnecting from the previously connected device which is a bit inconvenient.
Anchor soundcore life a1. Bought 16/8/2021.
Comes with loads of tips and wings so easy to find the right fit. For me they are the best fitting earbuds I have had. A lot of the outside noise is blocked out due to the snug fit these buds have. Played music for 3 hours now and still showing 80% charge, so the 9 hour claim should be achieved quite easily.. The sound is for me fantastic, really rich especially when you put the eq on bass mode. The bass mode really doesn’t drown out the minds or the highs. Crisp vocals, really hard to fault these at the price,,, 35,,,,,and lastly the volume, well I had mine at 60% and that was loud for me! Go up to 80% and its really loud but doesn’t lose the quality of the sound, just too loud for me. I’m just preying that they don’t start playing up a few weeks down the road, which has happened with a lot of Chinese stuff that I have bought. Sorry to say it, but it’s true.
Edit…… If the flashing lights peee you off, stick a little bit of insulation tape over them….
One last thing,,,,,,, people on here keep going on about only being able to forward to the next track, and not being able to skip back…….. On mine, when I double tap the left bud it skips back!? If I double tap the right one it pauses.. Ironically I’d prefer it to skip forward, but haho, these are soo great, I don’t care……..
I rarely write reviews, but i will keep it short
These headphones cost me 35 pounds. It seems that they are discounted most of the time so keep an eye on the price. I am a semi-audiophile, and I can say that i kind of have an idea of what sounds good (at least to my ears).
I own several of much more expensive headphones and these buds definitely fits in there at a fraction of the price. My previously bluetooth buds were the airpods 1st gen which i though they sound just okay. These sounds amazing, and I did not say that they sound good for the price. They genuinely can sound great with some subtle eq settings. I found that the highs are slightly tuned down a little bit, probably because they are some very bassy buds (in a good way). The fit of these are great, I recommend you to try all the ear tips and wings to see which one fits you best. It is very hard for me to find something comfortable, but these offers a lot of flexibility, and I’m sure there is something in the package that fits for everyone.
Battery is simply amazing, i did not try to measure it by any means, but they definitely go for AT LEAST 6 hours of continuous use, overall very happy here. The do connect automatically to your device everytime after you take them off out of the case which is great. They do have wireless charging which i did not expect at this price, but i just charge it by cable. I did not expect any noice canceling at this price, but the passive isolation is pretty good. Trains in London can be very loud sometimes and this makes my journey a little bit easier. Buy these, at this price i doubt you’re going to find any better. These are some of the best 35 pounds i’ve ever spe
These are obviously on the budget end of earbuds and so I felt would be similar to the last ones I had, which were wireless but L and R attached together by a wire across neck. I was worried also that as they weren’t attached, they would just fall out as my ear canals are small.
They come with a wide selection of sizes for your ear and as they don’t go in in to your ear canal the size they came with fitted me perfectly. I feel confident when running they will not fall out. They are fairly confortable, I can forget they are there! They charge in the charging pouch which I keep plugged at the front door so when I get home I just pop them back in there. No having to remember to charge them! The sound quality is dead on, I don’t expect top end but if you want you can use the EQ setting.
I’m delighted with my purchase actually and feel I got real value for money here.
I was initially sceptical when I bought these but I refused to pay the over 100 for buds I’ll only wear sporadically. I did a bit of research and these consistently came up best. I have a pair of soundcore wired Bluetooth earphones and am well impressed.
They were easy to pair with my Samsung right out of the box, wireless charging case is great and they fit right in my ears with the wing tip things. You get differing sizes of buds and tips so I’d recommend trying them all to get your perfect fit.
The sound quality is great and the volume control on the buds works well, the different eq settings are noticeable as I listen to a lot of podcasts.
For the price point you really can’t go far wrong with these.
Brought these as I have misplaced my Samsung ear buds for the money I paid 32.99 as they were on a offer now 50.00 they are well worth the money even for the 50.00 although I couldn’t afford justify 50.00 for another pair I only got the Samsung ones for Christmas.
I listen to audio books mainly but will be happy to watch my ipad etc.
I even went upstairs and it didn’t loose the connection which is better than Samsung I’d need to carry my phone while using the Samsung ear buds.
Very comfortable in the ear, I have had similar ear buds fall out but I don’t think these will the fit is really snug. I also shower in them I use 1 earpiece and keep that side away from the direct spray I’ve had no problem.
Very pleased A****
I absolutely love these headphones. I took quite a long time switching ear bud size and the outer inter changeable parts that rest on your inner ear lobe, but after I spent the time testing and finding the right combination, they fit perfect, and the outer rubber part does its job and not only allows the headphones to sit tight, but when you get it right, they cancel a lot of the outside noise.
I like the fact you have a central button to control, press once to answer and end a call, press twice to pause track, press 3 times to switch between two EQ settings, one is a really good bass boost, the other very clear and balanced. if like me you use one headphone all day at work, sometimes when you add the 2nd its not always automatically on, so you can press and hold button for about 3 seconds and it turns on.
its a nice balance of sound when you only have one headphone in too, its one of the selling features for me.
I took a gamble on these as my other air pod copies which were also very good by a different make, went through the washing machine by mistake! and then out of stock.
but it was. a lessing in disguise cos I found these.
Always avoided true wireless in the past, as too expensive to risk losing. Now they are in this price range, I gave it a go. Pleased that I did. Went for Anker as their regular wireless headphones have done me good, but these are absolutely another level. They sound great, fit my ears well, easy to pair, stay in my ears, and the charging case is great. I really struggle to see what a 150 pair of true wireless could possibly offer that these dont. Not tested the battery life properly yet, but everything I have tested has been above and beyond what I was hoping for 🙂 thank you Anke
Have to be honest,I’d never heard of the brand before,so, from my perspective, took a gamble buying. No regrets so far.Easy to connect & use.Lots of extra tips & wings to choose from to get right ear fitting. That’s the most important thing coz once you get that right, the sound is the BEST I’ve come across,& equally important,is the price.Highly recommended.Brilliant.
Update-December 16.Still working great, sound, connectivity,no issues there. The only ”problem” I have had is when the bud stays in the ear long enough for a certain amount of time, the ear tip or wing(can’t remember which is which.see picture) becomes warm, presumeably from the heat created by your ears?.as a result of this ”heat”, the rubber tends to soften slightly,so when you take the bud or buds out of your ear or ears, the rubber comes off,so you end having to putting it back on.As I said, only minor, but is a little annoying. It doesn’t happen every time, just occaisionally.
Being a brand I hadn’t heard of I was a little skeptical at first when ordering these but they were on sale from 47.99 to 32.99 so I thought I would give them a try.
For the price point these are really good wireless earbuds. They were packaged nicely and the layout of the interior definitely makes them look like a quality piece of kit.
They sound really nice and clear, with a good balance between base treble and mid range and also had x3 equaliser options to choose from as well and the noise cancellation works great. I can’t hear a thing from the outside world with them in.
They have the bonus of a dual charge option of either USB type c or wireless charging which is nice.
They are really comfortable to wear too with 4 sets of buds in different sizes as well as extra wing tips and a set of wingless tips.
My old “fresh true wireless earbuds” (fresh being the brand name) were uncomfortable to wear for long periods but I don’t find that these ones are. I like to wear my earbuds in bed while watching things on my phone but my old ones would dig into my ear which at times was quite painful and if pushed in too hard the sound would become muffled so I wouldn’t be able to hear anything.
These earbuds I have pushed into my ear and also layed on them and they don’t hurt at all. Also when laying down with them in they still sound clear which is awesome.
The charge case is a nice size in a “pill” shaped format so doesn’t feel too bulky and you can use the buds together or individually. Also from the weight of the case you can tell the case has got a good sized battery in there.
The controls are a little finicky to figure out but once you get used to them they aren’t too bad. The earbuds also have the option of activating alexa if you have her set as your virtual assistant in android if you have your phone unlocked which is a nice feature.
The wingless tips while secure and will withstand standard movements while running/in the gym etc, if you shook your head hard they will come out.
The winged tips however are nice and soft, comfortable to wear and hold in your ear really securely. Much better than my old ones and they don’t come out even with a really heavy head shake/bang.
Over all I’m really pleased with the quality of these and glad that I decided to give them a try.
Top marks!
Having purchased the Soundcore Dot 2 earbuds prior to these, and having returned them for being faulty, I am happy that I did so because the Dot 2 are superior. Aside for a few random disconnections, the performance has been pretty faultless. I cannot rate the wireless charge because I have not used it.
The sound is not going blow you out of your seat, however for a sub 50 pair of buds, it is pretty balanced. The 3 way equaliser will give most people sound they can enjoy.
Likes:
-Soild build of both case and earbuds
-Large choice of silicon tips and wings
-Volume control
-3 way EQ setting
-“clicky” buttons as opposed to touch sensitive
-snug in-ear fit – they don’t fall out (I have fitting issues with most other earbuds)
-good sound for the price point
-great battery life (have used for 5 hours straight with battery levels still not getting low
-fast charging
-clear indicator lights for charging/function/battery levels
Dislikes:
-hard to remove buds from charging case as the magnet is quite strong and no where to grip them
-volume change is slow because clicking the button(s) too fast will get inputted as a double/triple click which is a completely different function.
I have issues when trying to connect to my laptop however I will put that down to Windows 7 and 2014 BT technology.
Brought these after seeing them recommended on a review for an alternative pair (considerably more expensive) I was looking at to replace a pair of Skullcandy stolen out of the car.
Reviews seemed reasonable, not looking for studio quality sound just decent reproduction for music and podcasts.
Opening the box was a bit daunting, loads alternative tips and in ear “hooks”. I was lucky and the default ones fitted very comfortably. Pairing was straightforward (Samsung S21). Played a variety of different items to test them spoken word, different genre of music and podcasts.
Very happy with the quality, effective noise cancellation and they are very comfortably. Can’t really comment on battery life yet but after 4 hours playing they are indicating 60% available.
Seem like an excellent purchase for the price. Happy customer.
Surprisingly good for the price. I have got through a lot of earbuds, and the sound quality is as good as many of the much more expensive ones. I particularly like the ability to add bass boost with a click (3 clicks, actually). Noise cancelling is very good but one click to silence and you can hear what’s going on. The charging box fits in a pocket easily and has ready charging. The buds are held in the box work a strong magnet so a bit less chance of losing one. I would definitely recommend of you are looking for a nice looking and quality looking and sounding ear buds.
Though I have yet to own these long enough to test the durability of the earphones long-term, they are like night and day compared to some others I’ve tried. While not quite as intuitive with the interface, the button commands are still simple to learn. They come with a range of buds to fit your ear securely, which contributes to decent noise cancellation.
If you’re a metalhead like me who requires high bass to get the full range of a song, then these are a great choice without dipping into high-end price ranges. With 9 hours of battery life on one charge, they will last more than long enough for any regular activity. If they last, then I’ll bump my score up to five stars, but four stars out of the gate is still excellent!
Truly brilliant obviously you notice the sound in this price range wasn’t quite on par with my sony wf 1000xm3, but the sonys just falls out of your ears i even brought some embarrassing clips for them but these are extremely well designed they totally stay in your ear, i am so pleased with them and really regret buying the Sonys. If soundcore anker made a premium sound version based on this design with a comparable app and noise cancelling feature like the sony, these would be the best in the world!!!! The bass is great also. Totally enjoyable sound with secure fitment and lots of different tips in the box to try.
These are a decent set of buds for the price. Sound quality is good and clear. A few things to be aware of though – 1) there are three sound options to scroll though, but you have to work out which is which from listening to them, there is no indicator which sound option you have chosen. 2) I haven’t worked out how to change volume on the buds while taking a call. During music playback, you tap each bud once to go up/down in volume. During calls, you tap the bud to receive/end a call. So if you tap to adjust volume during a call, it ends the call. So far, I have had to adjust volume on calls using the phone. Not a major problem, and I would still recommend these buds, especially at the price.
Great value for money. The units are small so they don’t sick out like say Sony earbuds. I’ve worn them in the gym and for 10k runs. They didn’t budge and the connection toy phone was solid.
Phone calls are fine for audio. My voice is clear but a little quiet. The earbuds create a tight seal in your ear so outside noise is quite low which is a bonus in a busy city.
The only odd thing is they don’t disconnect from my phone when I put them back in the case soninhave to manually disconnect. An inconvenience but not a deal breaker.
Don’t waste money on bigger brands unless you’re a real audiophile.
Traditionally I only buy earphones with either a sponge pad or some kind of ear hook to keep them in place as any other kind of earphone falls out of my ears with the slightest movement (dont even speak to me about Apple AirPods), so I was a bit antsy about buying these but put them in and twist them to lock the wings in place and miracle of miracles I can trip and fall, jump up and down and basically do anything normal and they stay in, sound quality is good and they are actually really convenient for casual listening when you only need one ear in. Great purchase.
At less than 50 I didnt expect noise cancellation anyway so no loss there.
Positives.. They sound great a really rich sound and don’t have that annoying hiss as so many Bluetooth products have. The build quality is very good in comparison to the competition very neatly packaged too, a lot of thought has gone into the design and detail. They don’t seal your ears completely, “this is actually good thing”Some similar earbuds seal your ear canal which is good for blocking out sound, but when pressing the functions it can feel like a suction cup probing your ears.. which uncomfortable and possible dangerous.
Negatives.. You can’t skip back only forwards.. kind of reminds me of the days when you could only fast forward on a Walkman. Honestly I think I would of preferred a skip back button than EQ. The controls aren’t very instinctual (see diagram) they have taken me ages to get used to.
My main earphones are Jabra 75T which is in my main coat pocket and always forget to take to work hence needed a cheaper pair with good sound quality. Having previously purchased a pair of Enacfire which was faulty after about a month I received a refund and wrote a review and the seller gave me a 20 Amazon voucher for my next earphones! Glad I come across this and I must say these are very impressive for the price. The clarity and bass are good, comfortable to wear and 3 times the price cheaper than my 75`s! The 75T yes has the edge and also has ANC within the app but if can live without this then this must me an option for you. Overall 5 stars for value for money.
Bought them as replacement for Tozo T6. First thing that noticed straight away is sound quality – was noticeable worse than my previous cheaper earphones. They fit well, and are very lightweight and comfortable. Couldn’t hear any major difference when switched between 3 different modes. Long battery life. Handy USB-C socket. Generally positive feedback, but bit disappointed with sound quality.
Edit: Souncore offered upgrade to better model free of charge as a compensation. Did not expect such a generous gesture.
At the end of the day positive outcome.
Used the Soundcore P2 for the past couple of years and used them daily before I lost an ear bud out mountain biking.
For 30-40 these are brilliant. Audio quality is great, I’ve never had connectivity issues and they’re cheap enough to replace many times over – I feel way more confident working out in these over the more expensive AirPods. For what I need them for these are brilliant.
Got the A1’s as a replacement, primarily for taking out running but finding more and more that I’m using them over my Beats Studio 3 for listening to music while working because they’re the more comfortable option if wearing for a few hours.
Once they’re in, the earphones are barely noticeable – because these don’t have the “stem” that the P2’s or AirPods have you’re less likely to catch them on glasses, helmet straps etc. and accidentally knock them out.
Anker always seem to make decent gadgets so I took the 35 gamble to see how good these earbuds were. These are my first ever bluetooth earbuds having always had wired in-ear headphones before. Am totally blown away how good they are, especially considering the price. The sound is very crisp with good bass – adjustable by three preset modes to choose from and of course some tinkering in the advanced sound settings on my android phone. The resulting sound is miles better than any wired headphones I’ve owned previously. My wife had a quick listen and wanted a set of her own straight away, so ordered another. Earbuds are very comfortable and stay in my ears – there are 4 earbud sizes available in the box. I just use them for listening to music so the mic and telephone call facility is an unknown for me. Toyed with getting the much more expensive Jabra 75t or Sony 1000XM3 earbuds but can’t see how they can sound much better than these? Highly recommended.
Between the specifications and the price, there isn’t much competition. At least not as popular as this is and I now see why. Great fit with great customisation as well as being secure, I was surprised at how comfortable they really are.
The setup is easy and the sound is clear and loud, I’m not familiar with sound specifications but having the different modes is always a bonus. The click commands are nice and simple although I believe I would want to swap the one click volume control for pause/play double click (personal preference).
After unboxing, I did a quick test and everything was fine however after my initial usage, I placed them in their box. On my 2nd use, the right earbud wasn’t working. The light wouldn’t appear at all not even in the charger box or with any click function. I was about to claim a defect but then decided to see if the old tap/blunt force would fix. And it did haha. Not sure what would have caused it but as they are working fine for now, I’d rather not cause any wastage or problems for the seller.
Overall, they’re a great set of earbuds and having analysed the many others out there, there was only one other option I had singled out to and it came down to design. Glad to have bought these for sure!
Great quality for the price – easy to use – and a feature that fast charges for 10 mins makes them highly worthwhile. The sound is slightly bass heavy but you can switch between three eq modes (though I tend to forget!) which offer some nice variation depending what you are listening too.
The noise cancellation works great and I regularly get miss my wife speaking to me because they are on.
Battery life seems to be pretty much what they say on the tin.
Switching between Bluetooth devices can require turning off your last connected device or even unpairing which can be fiddly but on the whole is only a minor problem. Though they do work for phone calls/zoom, if you’re trying to talk to someone outside and it’s windy they are not going to hear you, which is partly the design of them (which I prefer to the mic coming down from the ear). Well worth checking out and great for the price
Anker have out done themselves again for bring out a budget priced item which can hold its own against mid to high priced.
They look great and feel great. they have included in the box different sized buds and also rims to make them as comfy as possible. Luckily the default ones on them fit me fine and I have no issues with the comfort.
They paired really easy out of the box, the sound quality is great for the price. I haven’t noticed a difference when using the EQ settings on them though, but I only use them for listening to YouTube and Twitch while my partner is watching TV so I don’t annoy her.
I tested the mic on them in a phone call, I could hear the other person fine but apparently I was a little quiet, but for me this isn’t an issue as I’m not particularly wanting to use these for phone calls.
I would completely recommend these for customers who are going to use them purely for the listening side of things, maybe look else where for a pair for phone calls or look at reviews for the higher end Anker ear buds as I’m sure they will have better/higher grade components in them.
I’m giving them 5 stars purely on the basis that they do exactly what I want to a great standard. So I’m rating the overall on my intended use.
Otherwise I’d have give them 4 stars if I wanted to use all the features or the product.
I spent ages researching / reading reviews for all the different Anker wireless headphones and decided to go with these. I use them for running, they stay in the ear really well and are very comfortable. The battery life is amazing and the charging case is very handy.
If anything, the noise cancellation is too good so when you’re running on roads you do have to be mindful of not hearing vehicles approaching from behind.
Would highly recommend
Had loads of wireless earbuds in the last couple of years. These sound brilliant compared to most of them (huge bass too) but more importantly feel much higher quality than a lot of the other ‘budget’ brands out there – definitely a step up in build quality. Battery lasts ages, comfortable, good weight to the buds and carry case so feel robust, and they sound good – EQ function is nice. We will see about reliability in the longer term but I already trust these more than the Taotronics and MPOW buds that I’ve had before and invariably had to return on warranty.
I’d like to say I’d seen these for a few weeks but held out.
The wife had decided to let me have the samsung pro buds as she could get quite a bit of discount at 179 instead of 219.
Let me say they didn’t last the weekend the fit was weired yes I know give it time but no it you know you know plus the price of them they be a great product…
Anyway I went back and thought you know for the price the id give the soundcore pods ago and for the they are great sound fit, phone calls and YouTube are ace the fit is also good well worth it…
Yes I haven’t worked out if there is voice cancellation or not but for a great fit and sound it doesn’t matter…
I had wanted some wireless earbuds for some time but was put off by the mixed reviews and the risk of losing one earbud, so after weighing up the options decided to take a punt on these for 36 – and so far I have to say I’m really impressed.
The sound quality is very good, certainly better than I had expected with strong bass and clear treble, fit is good with lots of rubber bits to adjust the fit included.
The wireless charging is an added bonus and so far the battery life of the earbuds seems very good.
How long they will last is another thing, but so far so good!
These are comfortable and can be adjusted using the different fittings you get in the box. Haven’t run with them but from shaking my head around they feel pretty secure.
Sound wise they’re OK, but the 3 eq setting is a bit pointless. I find I need the one on the highest bass all the time and still have to use a separate EQ app (bass booster) to get it to sound right. Volume is good and I was able to ignore the kids whilst listening through them!
Pretty good for the money. I wanted a cheapish pair for use at work on a building site, if they get lost or broken not too expensive to worry about. Not sure how they would stay in while jogging but they stayed in firmly all day at work. Edit on 8/5/22. Bought another pair, the last pair finally gave up through no fault of the product. One fell out while kayaking and I used the other one ( I only use one ever ) until I tried to charge it not realising it had got wet so I broke it. I had no qualms about buying the same product again, in fact I was relieved when I saw they were still available. Really really good.
Very pleased so far:…(update at bottom)
Likes:
Compact buds (see pics compared to my soundcore liberty 2s)
Physical control button (!!)
Sound quality…better than my galaxy bud pros and similar to my Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros.
Plenty of extra tips n’ wings in the box
Connects and reconnects fast and smoothly
Can use either as a mono earpiece
Ipx7
Dislike:
Can’t customise controls
Case doesn’t feel that sturdy and is a tad big
Overly bright blinking light on buds…would love option to turn these off.
These buds tuck all the most important (to me) features boxes and a great price…would have paid a lot more if I had known they were this good.
Also refreshing to have buds without anc…seems to be the main selling factor in other buds but seems an over hyped feature that I’ve never required out on the go (have a pair of over ears with anc at home for where it is more useful ie. Other family members)
update after using for a week:
These are now my daily drivers (my galaxy buds+, Jaybird Vistas, and Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros will be staying in the draw).
Will be buying 2nd pair while at reduced price. I was almost going to go for the new galaxy buds (already have a couple of previous editions) and those cost over 200 at mo.
Sound quality is great (not quite as good as the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros but almost), connects very quickly and have had no connection problems.
I thought the double tap would be annoying for the play/pause but actually has proven it’s worth as I don’t have anymore accidental pocket activations.
The soft-button push doesn’t press buds painfully into ear.
Have been able to use these in shower, pressing pause, with no problems.
Battery duration has proved true to those advertised…able to keep out of the case for most of the day.
That case is the only part of this package that I dislike…cheap, big and clunky. Don’t like the case of the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros either so I think this is maybe something for Anker to work on.
Otherwise outstanding product.
So, I’ve tried multiple different ear buds including the AirPods and these are certainly THE BEST I’ve had! The extra bass setting is like have a subwoofer strapped to your head!!!!!!! Sooooo good!
The can be hard to grasp to get out the case and your ear, but their sound quality is well worth looking over that tiny detail. I’ve only rated the sound quality 4/5 as I feel the highs could be more prominent, but for under 70 these have to be the best headphones I’ve ever owned! Even over my AirPods (which I returned!). Give these a go, you’ll love em.
Definately better than expected… they connect immediately which is consistent… the sound quality is very good… I was concerned with them falling out during exercise but I must say they are excellent I haven’t tried running with them yet but they fit so well I believe they will be absolutely fine… a very good purchase and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more Anker products… even considering I’m a Bose fan… I definitely recommend to anyone.
I bought these because working out with wired ear buds is just not practical. I was concerned about these falling out but they fit really well, are extremely comfortable also. They come with a combination rubber ear pieces so was able to get a good fit and block a lot of external noise. Sound is decent and the equaliser gives some good options although I like my music with a little more bass, but the mid and top ranges are very good. Battery life and charging case are excellent, case can be charged wirelessly as well.
I previously had some taotronics which were really good but they discharged the battery every couple of days making the pointless but they fitted like a glove . So as you do I sent them back then came across these ones which can be a little uncomfortable in the ear though there is a range of buds to suit all . I took the wing tips off and used another option I found they were making them uncomfortable . So my big thing is bass and wow these deliver perfect base the sound is brilliant so my 4 stars were based on them being uncomfortable but they are way too good to send back and the charge is great and they maintain that in the case too which is a big plus and you do get used to having them in . They are solid in the ear so I would imagine they are perfect for sports . For the money it’s a no brainer get them purchased you won’t be disappointed with them especially the sound these produce . If you tap the side 3 times it alters the base using 3 settings too obviously I go for the more bass option . I really wanted to give them a 5 but I guess I have odd shaped ears lol but I can’t recommend these enough they are really good . Ok had these a couple of months and changed my review these are brilliant and got used to them in my ear to yhe point where I fall asleep with them in and the sound quality is superb
I bought these as my main earphones (RHA MA Wireless) aren’t good for running – kept falling back whilst running and would lose in-ear grip with sweat.
I was looking for a budget pair of sports earphones and these work out perfectly. The sound is a bit stronger on the bass side but for my purposes it is perfect. It fits fine, it doesn’t lose any grip from my ears when I sweat and the connection to the phone is quite straight forward.
If the sound quality was a bit better it would be a full 5 stars but then again, it is a budget product and quite a good one for the price. I do recommend it.
Sound – For around 40, these headphones sound great. The base is excellent but can be a little bit muddy, but certainly not an issue. Treble and mids seem pretty good so far with the music I’ve tested. Make sure to use the right earpieces – it does make a big difference, you need a good ear seal. 7/10.
Quality – For the price? Really very good. Premium feel, loads of fitment options, nice charging case, really good Bluetooth connection, good battery life. Haven’t tried call quality yet… 9/10.
Fit – The main reason I bought these was for running. The fitment options are excellent and they really do plug into your ears well, with the correct earpieces I cannot even shake them out. I can’t imagine sweat will be an issue either. 9.5/10.
I think the sound on these is close to my Sony XM3s which are 3 or 4 times the price. The bass specifically is very impressive. So sound wise these are an abolsute bargain.
There is no app and no noise cancellation like the Sony but those are class leading and cost loads more. But the 3 preset EQ levels on these are decent and much simpler. And these have better weather proofing.
Haven’t tried them on calls yet so not sure what mics are like.
They fit well, with a choice of bud/wing sizes. Very light. Very secure fit. Can use these for exercise without worrying about wrecking the Sony’s. The buttons have a slight click to them rather than being touch – I marginally prefer that as you know when you have pressed but it’s not to everyone taste.
The case is not tiny like some but close. Case feels well made. It has 3 lights to show the charge level.
Given I paid 37 on a deal these are a total bargain. They are so much better than the price suggests. Unless you want full features like ANC and apps, I’m not sure anything in between is really worth it over these.
