It was great for cutting down some trees in my backyard
This is a good piece of kit! The major drawback is it doesn’t come with a charger for the battery! Also doesn’t come with a battery! So unless you already have worx tools 20v swappable bats n charger there is the same tool on amazon with both and it doesn’t cost a lot more
Amazing power and so easy to use. the battery lasts for a very long time but a shame I had to but a charger separately. I haven’t had to recharge it after two days pruning large branches from 12 apple trees. Also I like the fact that the batteries are interchangeable so I purchased the Worx extending pole version which came with a charger. Well worth buying the Worx products.
his chainsaw is great for me as i have athritis.its compact and light to use.great battery life.i have a few worx tools and recommend them
Worx chainsaw works brilliant on the logs i cut for my log burner saves a lot of hard work
I would recommend this chainsaw
Good chainsaw wouldn’t try cutting anything too thick especially if it’s still a growing tree. Good for cutting timber aswell. Again wouldn’t try anything bigger than 3 inch.
Once again worx doesn’t disappoint, I own quite a lot of worx tools and never regret buying them, quite powerful chainsaw and easy to use!
No longer that dreadful performance trying to get a petrol chainsaw to start. Starts instantly. No smell. Cuts through medium sized branches and trunks with ease. Uses same batteries as Worx dirills and garden tools. I don’t even have to change batteries as they hold their charge well. Enjoyable, practical and ideal for people who find other chainsaws too heavy.
Well worth the money not to heavy easy to set up .just watch oil drip after use for a bit I just put a piece of tissue under for 5 minutes
Bought this to rip through a few small felled trees in the garden. Primarily bought this due to positive reviews and the fact that I already have Worx tools, and therefore batteries.
Easily assembled and instructions concise and well presented.
Dealt with branches (green) up to 8″ (200mm) with ease but that was the largest that I could try it on.
Unsure if total battery life, but I was working with it, with a fully charged battery, for a couple of fairly busy hours, but obviously not continuously..!
Very happy with my purchase and happily recommend this for light jobs.
Cut about 8 6 -8 inch fresh trees no bother, still had battery life.
If you need to cut somit with a lower noise thats not a petrol.
This is the kiddy…
Dont forget to buy decent chain oil and also check manual if you dont know how a chain on the saw should be set…slack etc..
Go on Worx, have there jet wash for mtb, thats good too, mum has lawn mower and strimmer. So far so good on all same batteries.
The chainsaw is compact and light weight but with a robust feel to it. It’s quiet when running – much quieter than petrol models – starts at the press of a button and it stops instantly when you let go of the button. I haven’t tried it on anything bigger than about 5 inches diameter yet, but it cuts so easily I imagine bigger logs won’t be a problem. Most importantly, I feel safe using it, and can therefore confidently recommend – if I can manage it, anyone can!
The chainsaw is good but not so strong. It looks like not enough power or the speed is low even the full battery.
During the use some wood parts come inside the chain tension space.
I’ve not used a chainsaw in years, so I purchased this as I didn’t want something too powerful to get me back into it. This chainsaw is light, easy to use and cuts medium size log/branches relatively easily. It did get stuck a couple of times but that was mainly due to me trying to chop wood that was too thick for this small chainsaw. A couple of tips, buy chainsaw oil as it doesn’t come with any and also buy a higher power battery (5mah or 6mah) if possible, otherwise you’ll be forever changing them.
I have numerous worx tools for DIY, garden and crafts so it was a natural choice when I needed a chainsaw.
I opted for the smaller length as I am not heading out to the forest to start chopping down trees, it is for hedges and smaller trees.
The day it arrived it got put to use when replacing some fence panels and a few thicker shrubs needed to be trimmed and the neighbour asked for a tree to come down. I had a charged battery and I topped up with chain oil and it went to work no problems.
I have recommended and will continue to recommend worx as they have been great for me.
Instructions aren’t particularly clear, but if you’ve used chainsaws before then its really easy to set up and use. One thing that I couldn’t find in the instructions was anywhere that pointed out that the nose wheel on the bar requires greasing before use and regularly there after. But the saw is very easy to use though very different to a petrol saw. Very light and responsive and an ideal “garden saw”.
Another excellent product from Worx…( I also have the strimmer)… the battery share is a big plus!
The chainsaw is easy to use and well balanced. I’ve given four stars for ease of assembly, because the instructions could be a little clearer and the diagrams larger. Take note, and take your time to fit the chain,
if in doubt re-read the intructions.. I had to a couple of times to figure it out and make sure everything was in place. Overall excellent for the smaller jobs in the garden without the expense of an arborist.. I think mine has already paid for itself. I’m well pleased.
Biggest plus side? I can cut logs early in the morning or late at night without annoying the neighbours, and get the job done fast.
It was cheap at 50 yes you won’t be cutting down huge trees, you can of course. It has enough power in my opinion. Remember it’s all about a sharp chain, this saw is excellent. Can’t wait to upgrade to the Worx higher end saws though, when there on sale. I have a petrol 56 cc saw it’s just nice to not feel fatigued once in a while.
Only downside, plastic spike so can’t dig into wood. Would recommend…
Hopefully my review isn’t deleted this time…..
Arrives this morning, I have already used it , drained my existing 2AH battery, recharged it and used again. The issue with all electric chainsaws (battery) is that 1 AH lasts around 5 minutes of end full depth cutting. This isn’t a criticism, it’s just a matter of wattage and what energy can come out of the battery. Personally I think this is a brilliant chainsaw, and I already perfer the weight / balance etc.,, of this to my 20cm husqvarna. The electric feels much much safer immediately, with it stopping the rotation of the chain about a second after releasing the trigger. I would highly recommend this tool, so far, and I hope that the stirdyness it feels like it has, is true, and that it lasts a long time. There is certainly no lack of poewr in the tool, just a slight lack of duration, but that’s due to the 2ah battery rather than the tool itself. Also does not come with chain oil, so please remember to buy some.
This chainsaw is good quality easy to assemble, easy to use works well.
You need a few batteries. I took down four small trees and got through two and a half of the smaller batteries. It doesn’t leak oil too badly and I keep it bungied to a plastic tray to catch drips. Keep an eye on the chain tension as you go. Very satisfying.
Smaller blade than the corded saw it has replaced but it is more powerful and effective than its predecessor. Love it.
I had some shrub roots that needed to come out, so thought I would give this Worx chainsaw a try. I have other Worx products, so already had the batteries and a dual charger. I am sure happy I bought this chainsaw, it is easy to use and very powerful. This is a great product and it has paid for itself! I just wish I would have gotten one long ago! I marked down assembly to a 3 because the instructions are not great, I just had to use common sense in putting it together.
Good addition to garden maintenance, only thing it’s not that powerful, but ok for light use .
Another great worx product. Not powerful enough for what I needed it for but up to 10-12 inch branches n logs…great. Recommended.
I bought this to cut up logs i’ve got stored in my garage which is remote from my house as i was fed up with lugging them back to my house to chop using a corded blade and i have to say this has exceeded my expectations.
I’ve docked it one star as some others have again because the auto lubricating oil well continues to apply oil until the oil well is totally empty soaking whatever the chainsaw happens to be sitting on or over, to try and combat this i only 1/4 fill it and keep a check on it while cutting to make sure it doesn’t run dry so that way i stop using it i’m not going to loose too much oil.
The chain is slower moving than an electric or petrol chainsaw so you have to cut slower but the motor seems to have a decent amount of power so it’ll cut the full exposed diameter of the chain giving you 23cm cutting length in one go, i’ve also cut thicker logs by cutting from both sides which means you can in effect cut diameters of up to 46cm in total (i’ve not tried this thick yet)
With a 2.0ah battery cutting through logs of an average of 15cm diameter i can fill an 80ltr plastic bin before the battery goes flat, just before the battery is flat the chain will stop under excess load so theirs no tail off of power which is good.
For my use i find 2x 2.0ah batteries and a 1hr fast charger more than enough for my occasional use, as the batteries and 1hr charger are approx 40 each it’s worth considering buying another Worx tool pack, to go with a battery i already had i bought the cordless jigsaw with 2.0ah battery and 1hr charger for 90 which meant the Jigsaw only cost me an extra tenner and seems decent for basic cutting, just a thought.
Fantastic little saw. Does the job, cuts well, good battery life and very light and easy to use.
Fantastic little chainsaw. Made cutting logs easy and made me want to tackle some bigger jobs.
Love it. Nice and lightweight with virtually no kick back. I used this with the 2ah battery and it cuts fine.
Very handy as I have many battery operated tools from worx, good for small to medium cuts
It’s perfect for the garden I’ve cut down a 15 year old ash hedges and large cherry blossom and it work perfect, i sharpen after every use and put away and because I’ve a number of the Worx 20v products I’ve a good fee batteries around but I’ve never needed more then 2 on any job.
The only down side is the leaking from the chain oil but you just have to reduce the follow before storing it so i can blame myself.
No an expensive chainsaw but only need it to cut down a few tree’s, very good value for money .
I have to say I’ve not used it yet but I am certain it will be very useful. It’s light and very portable and with two spare batteries I should get a lot of cutting done. It will be better than using a petrol saw. It tends to leak oil a bit so store it somewhere that this doesn’t matter. Worx tools are very good. Don’t use them to heavily though.
Easy to use, lightweight, powerful, no smell of petrol, or electric cable you are terrified you might chop in half, really good buy.
Nice bit of kit – works with all my batteries.
Unfortunately what isn’t made clear is that Worx do not include any chainsaw oil in the box, but do say that running the saw without oil will result in serious damage.
It seems reasonable to assume that most customers would not have any chainsaw oil in their garage so why not make it clearer or even include a small amount in the box.
I of course ordered some oil which arrived the next day but due to work I didn’t have a chance to use it until yesterday. Its a great tool, quiet and very easy to use. Just a shame the initial impression was so frustrating hence a four star review. Had oil been included it would have been five.
