Bought this after looking at many different ones to the point I started to confuse myself. So YouTube came to the recue, watched many reviews and settled on this one. Very comfortable to use, 2 button trigger just to start it, then just the 1. The laser… as a nice addition, didn’t help in the slightest, so you could buy this cheaper without the laser. I was making shelves and it went through 1/2″ thick planks like a hot knife through butter. Comes in a very nice case with extra blades… 8/10. I would recommend.

Great little saw easy to use and cuts like a dream

Expensive but of kit in initial layout of funds but really useful when you don’t want to drag out a large circular saw. A bit on the heavy side. Given the choice again I wouldn’t have bothered with the laser sight and saved some money. On the whole would recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI brought this to cut lots of cut 10 – 12cm by 18 – 20mm pine wood to put behind desks where they’d be supported with brackets but doesn’t have to be accurate.

I anticipate with a tool like this that the cuts are not going to be accurate and at my skillset of not using it much but it did exactly what I wanted it to do and I did manage to make some cuts straight without the bracket thing that comes with it that I found more of a burden.

I do feel a bit or resistance which influences my cutting of the wood where I’d end up getting the cut out of level significantly and this is the protective cover over the blade which the springs on there seems a bit tough. I don’t think it would affect cutting large pieces when the cover is fully open.

I found that using the other hand to hold back the knob on the blade cover to fully open it before cutting solves that issue. It seems safe as one hand is holding the tool and the other hand is holding the knob back to keep the blade cover open where I can see where my hands are and that should prevent me accidentally putting my fingers near the blade during cutting.

There seems to be something lacking in the Amazon feedback system. When there are multiple products under one listing like this one for different types of saws and a reviewer of that listing leaves a review for one of them there is no mention of which product they are referring to unless they specify.

Despite selecting “WORX WX437 XL 800W” I have been seeing reviews for other models in the listing with problems which I didn’t know at the time and I ended getting a lift to rush to Screwfix on Christmas eve to buy a third party compatible universal 85mm blade specified by reviewer for a different smaller saw in that listing under the impression that the tool I brought is good but the provided blade will give problems. I saw other reviewers confirming that the 85mm blade that comes with it wasn’t any good where it would overheat, expand and start bending and one mentioning about it hitting the knife and cutting wrong and this 85m blade specified and pictures solved the issue for that reviewer.

It was arriving on Christmas eve and was preparing the 5mm blade for it and It was only when I looked at the blade on the model that I brought (WORX WX437 XL 800W) on a higher resolution picture that I coped into Irfanview then I see that it takes 115mm 120mm and not 85mm. I checked again and I realize they could be referring to three other 400w saws including the WX426 plunge cut.

I looked at the lower power model up which is the WX439 500W on Argus that uses the same 120mm blades and they have 4 to 5 star reviews: 68, (5 star reviews ) and 4 star (5 reviews) and no mention of the issues that the models that use the 85mm blade reportedly have.

I am pleased I made the right decision and went for the large extra power model as I was almost about the buy the smaller one.

Very misleading for reviews for a different product to be shown up not matching the one selected. I hope this issues gets fixed so when I select a product within a multilisting like this one only the relevant reviews relevant to that product are shown.

1st time I have had laser guided tools & the blade is actually in alinement with the laser. It is a bit big for one handed use. All in all does the job & well.

After using initially it cut very accurate and clean, but after a few uses it got stuck in some wood and the gears sheared off making it unusable. Would have been nice for the price to have an auto cut off mechanism for this kind of problem.

I will recommend for everybody, easy to used, very good for cut wood, bricks. I’m very happy do the job. Easy to set up, laser helps as well. I used privies model with 400W motor which was good, but that 800W is great. 100% recommend .

This is a great saw. Used it on several home projects. Powerful. Accuracy depends on the users ability.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhen looking for a “one job” small saw I happened upon this and reading the reviews (where many were saying it wouldn’t cut a straight line) I almost went elsewhere. But for the price I took a chance and I’m glad I did.

It just goes to show that you really should ignore most Amazon reviews, ironic i know.

The two pics included show that this saw cuts perfectly fine and straight, I’m pretty unfit and was stooped over cutting this practically free hand so I don’t know why other users are having trouble. I’ve come to the conclusion they may have had the wrong blade in, the blade in backwards or they just don’t know how to use power tools.

For just under 100 this is a great addition to the tool chest. The job in the pictures is a 12mm deep cut approx 8 metres long and I couldn’t have hoped for any better. I am tiling the bathroom soon and have no doubt this saw will cut tiles just as well, (with the correct blade).

The vacuum attachment doesn’t fit the henry hoover very well, or at all in fact, so I assume most vacuums. but no matter what cutting job you have to do, you’ll vacuum afterwards anyway so it’s not an issue for me.

    Great little saw.

It would appear to save money they’ve removed the plunge action on this version, thus making it less versatile. Disappointed to say the least. Still a must have item though.

Third saw I have had. Gave one way which had metal lever on lower guard. Second one great but plastic lower guard lever broke Just received replacement. Great saw but plastic lever could be stronger. Still five star .

I am a DIY beginner also I am a friend of WORX’s power tools While I brought the 20V power drill and cordless multi tools in Hong Kong. Easy for me to use with sufficient safety level. So that when I on board UK I am looking for WORX mini circus saw for a while finally I found it from Amazon UK.

Good product and seems well made, no problems so far. Note that it only comes with one saw blade unlike other similar products which provide 3 or more.

ead the reviews and they were mixed although more positive than negative. i found this saw easy to use and it did the job that I specifically bought it for ( to cut round a glass fibre electricity cupboard in order to replace the broken door. To date I have only used it on the one job but looking forward to using it more in the future. Over heating has been an issue on these compact saws (this brand as well as others) but I did not find this. recommended on my one time experience

I bought this for general diy jobs as found a general circular saw too cumbersome.
I decided to try and tile a hearth and then realised this had a diamond tile cutter disc. I used a general tile cutter for most cuts but this came into its own for small cuts, such as the few mm needed to be removed from a 9mm thick porcelain tile.
I thought about a cordless version but I don’t really have plans to use away from home so this is great.
    I would buy again.

    Great buy

easy to set depth but the koldon this can slip. I like it alot and would reccomend it for small jobs. Cut 1″ ply with no problem.

Mulled over this purchase for ages looked at loads did the research and took the plunge with this and no regrets.
Compact case I’ve cut engineered flooring doors kitchen worktops all sorts it’s just brill.
One of the best tools in the van not to heavy easy to use and change blade surprised me what it will cut.
Deeper timber take your time to stay straight and don’t force it but I use a square edge to run along anyway.
It really is one of the best investments I’ve made and for the money I can’t see a reason to spend more. Blades are readily available to and build quality seems great to.

Lovely piece of kit and very useful. I had borrowed a similar Worx unit from a friend and was smitten so got myself one. My only gripe with this model is that the laser is battery powered and not powered from the unit itself, it’s a small gripe as I love this thing. It’s very accurate and cuts cleanly, what more can you ask of it…

Good mini saw, does get hot only used on chipboard 1″, the laser is as much use as a chocolate fireguard impossible to see unless in low light, its only letdown.

My carpenter mate has one of these so I decided to get one. First time ever using a power saw but after a bit of practice and much YouTube instructions, I am very happy with this saw. Have cut decking, made deck steps, shelving and cut a metal pipe with both straight cuts and 45 degree mitres. This is my first time buying ‘proper tools’ and I usually cannot knock a nail in straight. So pleased with this saw. Easy to use, portable and comes in a nice box for storage. Now looking for other projects to tackle.

Before buying the Wrox, I bought a Mac Allister MSMCS500, which had a nice box and more blades, lower price too. However, it was far too heavy and clumsy, not really ‘mini’ and I needed to cut in a tight working space – especially important to keep a low profile.

The Wrox has proven perfect for the job, easy to handle, powers through floorboards, marine plywood, chipboard and the front end is relatively close to the blade, important in tight spots. Very happy with my purchase, worth the extra money.

I have needed one of these all my DIY life and not known it. Easy to use, handy, not overly heavy and cuts clean.. I bought the small version which only cuts to 27mm but if a deeper cut was needed I’d have no hesitation in buying a larger one. Amazing. Just need to cut a piece in two, trim half an inch this is now my goto tool. I love it. One point though, because it’s so easy to use do not use carelessly.

Handy little tool. Could have done with this a long time ago. Just beware that sometimes, depending on what you are cutting, these type of tools have a tendency to give a little kick back. Laser guide is a helpful additio

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTo be honest after reading the many reviews on this item I wasn’t convinced it was going to be the right tool for me there were so many reviews reporting the same problem with the cut not staying true and straight. So I decided to do some research by going to smaller shops who sell building/everyday tools with the intention of getting advise from a professional. It just so happened that this guy didn’t sell Worx but has owned them and he couldn’t praise the tool enough so I went ahead and purchased and as promised was delivered the next day. I was kinda excited to open the box as I needed to complete this job before the Christmas break. The tool is surprisingly big to what I was expecting but not cumbersome if your getting my drift in fact it’s light and easy to control which is big plus in my book but now for the disappointment I needed a saw that would cut 30cm + so this model should be perfect right? it’s advertised that’s its capable of cutting up to 46cm! wrong!! I’m cutting through 20cm and after 400cm it’s cutting off line. now I’m starting to wonder if I’ve made the wrong purchase after all you spend a lot of money on a tool and it doesn’t quite live up to what you expect so with a cuppa in hand I start to work out what the heck’s going wrong after all its new out of the box! … and then it suddenly hits me I pick up the tool and I look at the blade and I’m looking and looking and I start to realise the blade is just to thin!! as the blade cuts its getting hot and the heat causes the blade to distort hence it cuts out of line. In my opinion its a design flaw the blade needs to be thicker or a better quality metal????… The laser is a handy item to have but on my tool the laser is to wide and you cant see my guide line it needs to be a pencil line. But apart from the problems I’ve experienced the tool has a powerful quiet motor and with the blade sorted will make an awesome tool in any bodies workshop. I would like to get in contact with Worx customer services and see what they have to say about this fault I don’t understand how they can test these tools themselves and not get the same results as most of us are getting.
I hope my review helps and happy shopping and stay safe..

Great little portable saw. Remember if your cutting thin wood to adjust the depth gauge as it will stick half way through the cut. I would recommend the worx brand as their tools always meet my expectations.
