Used this saw for a while now. Great tool, very easy to use, great that it uses the worx batteries and can just switch between them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived without the included blades but quickly and easily rectified when I let them know.
Only grumble would be the storage, need to remove blade to store in original case.

Works perfectly although blade a little smaller than expected great for independent jobs where corded are difficult to use

Very lightweight and versatile battery powered circular saw. Uses the standard Worx batteries as supplied with drills etc. Easy to adjust depth of cut and angle. A very handy addition to the toolbox.

I was surprised how good this is, it’s handy to take in the boot when you go to the DIY store to downsize timber or furniture boards to fit in the car.
it’s quite accurate easy to handle and the battery last’s well

I used the saw for cutting large sheets of twinwall plastic. It worked quite well but I would have preferred the guide to be flat on both sides, instead of having projections at either end on the outside surface.

A nice compact accurate saw easy to use in confined spaces , ideal for plunge cuts and handles most jobs with no trouble at all I use bigger battery as I have 3Ah and 4Ah ones for my saws they get more work done went cordless good few years ago as the allotment we have has no power tools rule it’s only petrol or battery tools allowed, tried one or two of my father in-laws and dad’s before plumping on Worx mainly due to there nack fir bringing out the very latest ideas and tool concepts and reliable quality tools after I bought a few of there mains ones.

Very easy to use people complain about about the safety catch but it doesn’t bother me I’ve found it very easy to cut a straight line and it uses the same battery’s as my old erbouer drill which were sat about doing nothing so I’ve got 2 extra batterys

Love it, easy to use and setup, you get better with a little practice, not on par with a circular on long cuts but the sheer simplicity of this when doing small (band deep) cuts, it does easily cut through 18mm ply, much to my surprise… I did learn to plunge into the cut for a better start on the cut, but you do you. I highly recommend if you work with wood, I haven’t cut plastic or metal with it yet, so can’t comment on that.

Really great tool, have used everyday since purchased. Used the tile blade for chasing out brickwork and wood blade for panelling (MDF) and putting Ply down (18mm) and it’s been great, however, you MUST buy a bigger battery as the thing will run out of juice really quickly. I would suggest a 4.5.

Great little saw. Easy to handle, I have not felt any kick back as you can get on a regular circular saw. I am very happy with it, ideal for diy use, might be bit weak for tradesman daily use. Was great cutting kitchen cupboard side panels, blade did not tear the finish just left nice smooth cut. Would buy again.

I debated hard and long before buying because of what other reviews had said, such as ‘blade gets stuck’ and ‘doesn’t cut through 18mm ply’. However because I had a Worx battery from another tool, I took a risk. I have now used it and it easily cut through 18mm OSB…..no blade sticking for me. Granted I’ve only cut three 18mm OSB and three 11mm OSB, but it went through them like butter. Having a circular saw that doesn’t need a cable AND can be used with one hand is great, I wish I had one years ago. Some reviews mention that it takes time to master the technique of pushing the blade down to start off a cut, which is right, but not hard. I like it.

I’ve used this saw on a number of projects and found it to be very useful, I have found that you need to make a slower cut than other circular saws I’ve had, if you go to quick the saw blade tends to stop turning

Battery life not the best but good for small jobs and fast charging

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersCut a worktop with ease ,but disappointed that the case is not designed better once blade has been fitted cutter will not fit in case which defeats the object of having a case a bad design , if you have to keep removing the blade but get a 5.0 amp battery there is cheap out there as I have a few because I use a couple of worx grinders .

    Saw ok .

This is great to use, is my first tool like this and is easy to use and gives great results. Comes with a few cutting blades for ability to cut different materials.

Battery lasts a good amount of time and charges quickly, also great to have the carry case to store everything.

Also great I can share battery’s with my other woxs tools.

In this not being a full size circular saw but slightly smaller means you have great manoeuvrability which is made even better by being cordless!

It’s really versatile in what jobs it can be used for.

For a first saw tool I’ve found it really easy to use and would recommend.

Powerful little circular saw, so many uses. Could possibly do with a bit more depth of cut but it literally just cuts thru panels like butter with the correct blade in for the job.
Can be a bit long when in a tight space.
Battery life obvs depends on what battery, but no worse than a drill or impact driver.
    Great compact saw.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usershi, I am pleased with my Worx saw I very nearly didn’t buy as someone posted a review saying it couldn’t cut decking well it does. not tried on wet decking but on dry it cuts fine. see video. not easy to hold the phone and cut wood at the same time. only used it a couple of times just to test. I would say give it a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars it cuts dry decking

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersRevamping all my decking to better accommodate a large hot tub. Needed a circular saw but did not want a large, mains one. I already have a WORX drill driver that has been an excellent piece of equipment so thought this would be a good opportunity to get more WORX battery compatible tools. First off, it’s light, only cuts to 41mm depth at 90* but that was fine for me. Comes in a decent case which I like, however, the blade has to be removed when storing in the case. Talking of blades, it comes supplied with 3 in total, only used the wood cut blade so far but it’s very good. Now, it is a battery saw, do not expect a full day out of one battery! Having 3 batteries in total, as I have, means no downtime. It comes with a fast charger so just swap out the flat battery with a fully charged one, place the used one on charge and off you go. Like most, if not all circular saws, there is adjustment to ensure a proper 90* cut, so a little time spent setting the blade is worthwhile. 0* to 45* cuts are available although this reduces the cutting depth. A work light comes on when using the saw and the blade also stops very quickly when switching off. I’ve found it extremely useful, don’t force the blade, let it do the cut by itself (as you should with any power tool such as a drill) Overall I’m happy and may invest in a higher amp battery. Available as aftermarket replacements as well as WORX. This will give a greater range of use before recharging. For DIY applications, it’s great and possibly for some trades too as it is compact. Nice to have in the toolbox.

EDIT; think I spoke too soon. Only this morning, the saw developed a fault (2 weeks after purchase) despite fresh/new batteries, the blade will not spin. LEDworklight flashes when battery connected but no movement from motor. Spinning the motor by hand, with battery off the machine, I could hear and feel that the motor wasn’t engaging properly as if a gear was out of alignment? Tried troubleshooting with Amazon, who were amazing to say the least. They even managed to connect me directly with WORX customer service! Without me ringing them via the live chat facility which I started off with. Anyway, WORX said it needed returning as there was obviously a fault beyond telephone diagnosis. 3 year warranty but first year via Amazon so have returned for a refund. Perhaps I have just been unlucky here. I’m resting my 5 stars for excellent customer service both from Amazon and WORX as they were great. The product itself, whilst it worked was perfect for my needs, perhaps a replacement would fare better.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersTo place some context I am a DIYer not a professional wood worker, that said I’ve found the saw battery lasted very well making a bed and headboard. The saw is light, the blade is very easy to change, providing you note the direction arrow on the nut that clearly tells you which way to turn it, the saw comes with battery, saw guide, dust extractor size adapter, 3 blades for wood plastic ceramic and metal, I found the Bosch dust bag (27 from Amazon) from my Bosch electric plane fits with the adapter supplied although it’s a bit cumbersome, the provides a good clean cut, the case the unit comes with is good quality and will stand up to abuse in the back of a van,
I like that the saw stops almost immediately when you release the button, overall safety is very good, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the saw lacks a laser which would be helpful, but I does have a very bright led light the comes on with a light touch of the button. I’ve used the saw with an edge clamp too and it worked well. As I said I am not a professional, someone who uses the saw on a regular basis may give a more informed review for using in that environment. I am a little hesitant to say how many metres the battery lasts as I haven’t had to charge it yet, oh and it really handy to take to the big box stores and cut lengths of timber to a manageable size to transport home in my car. Just do research to make sure the model you want if a laser is required

Very useful small circular saw. Easy to use, cuts well.
Only thing is the blade protection plate needs careful use when cutting through planks.. have to hold it up with the little tang at the same time as switching on the blade or the plate hits the plank edge and won’t rise…so the saw won’t start ( safety feature) but works brilliantly for plunging and has plenty of power to cut a 2 inch plank.
I would definitely buy this tool…uses the same worx batteries as all the worx 20v tools.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this WX531 to replace my aging Makita 165mm 18V circular. I did think long and hard about the WX530 (Exatrack) vs this WX531. Ultimately, I decided that I rarely cut deeper than 40mm so favoured the smaller, lighter tool. Also if I do need to cut deeper than 40mm a cordless is usually not up to the job so I would use my 230v Makita circular in those rare cases.

Cuts 38mm worktop, MDF, CLS ect with ease. It runs very fast at 6900 rpm so cuts very cleanly.

I haven’t tried cutting tiles or metal pipe yet but I am sure it will work fine.

Remember that any circular saw is only as good as its blade….. currently (28/07/20) Amazon UK dont stock WA5100 replacement blades. However they do have the slightly narrower WORX WA5046 blades which look like they would fit.

Like the others, Its an annoyance that the unit wont fit the case without removing the blade. Also the Hex holder on mine doesn’t hold it very firmly in place, though it hasn’t fallen out yet.

All in all very nice little tool. 4 stars.

Plenty of power with a 4amp battery and last a good amount of time, used to cut plenty of 18mm ply and floorboards no to mention a couple of small trees maybe 100mm thick gets through everything just fine, will cut off if you twist it. The tile cutting blade worked great on some 900×900 11mm thick floor tiles small amount of chipping roughly a millimetre whilst cutting as you would expect with a slitted blade. Do like the brushless stuff they are selling also have the brushless impact driver that is awesome, might replace the old worx combi driver with a brushless next.

    Exelent light saw, very versatile.
But what lightweight thought it was a good idea to supply a case that requires the blade to be removed every time to allow it to fit back in.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersSo I got this saw to cut out subfloor and cut sheets of plywood to replace, works great runs right through 12mm ply hardwood and right through 23mm chipboard with no trouble, ive found the 2mah battery dont last long and dont have near as much power as a 5mah battery, so my advise is buy the tool and get 5mah batterys on popular auction sites that work with all worx tools. very handy piece of kit I was worried it would not be powerfull enough but it really does work great.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI was surprised with how easy it cut a piece of damp plywood. I bought it solely as I had several more powerful inter changeable batteries, the battery supplied with this unit is a cost cutting version as it has no visual power remaining check facility. It’s a tool I will not use often but it is convenient to just go to the van and grab it for those small quick get a floorboard up occasions. If you intend to demolish a rain forest, then this is not the tool you need. Overall so far OK.

Useful for what I need it for. Do not expect it to cut anything thicker than the blade I have used it to cut thicker wood, IE cut one side then turn it over and cut from other side. But it does struggle with this but remember it is not designed to work like this. I only added this in in case other buyers were toying with the same idea…………….

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI bought this today as I thought it would be useful around the house .It seems well made but I won’t know until I have used it more to see how long the battery lasts .
I already have a Circular Saw and when using that one you put two hands on it to activate the two step safety switches and when you start to cut the blade guard slides up and allows the blade to meet the wood.
This saw works in a different way ….the one hand ( right in my case) operates the two triggers to start the saw but you also need to press in a section and at the same time pull up a hook to release the guard hiding the blade which allows the workpiece to be cut . …and I find that tricky ….Is there a knack to do this
EDIT :I think I have sussed how to deal with holding the saw and pulling up the sole plate at the same time so it should get easier in time …not the best designed feature tho’
I tried it out to cut a piece of laminate and I was using the parallel guide and the guide height means the laminate can fit in the gap so thats no good for thin wood unless I can adapt the guide ….possibly by glueing on another piece of wood or plastic .
I was also going to say that somewhere to “park” the Allen Key would be useful but it might sit to one side of the sole plate .
Otherwise I have no complaints but time will tell

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis is suited to light woodwork and you are still going to need a heavier duty circular saw for the bigger stuff.
Battery life seems good and it is possible to use this with one hand.
