If you have an Xbox Series X and access to Game Pass, download this! The loading times are quick because of the ssd. It’s a blast (literally) to play and a great stress relief.
Listen, it’s not for serious race fans but if you want a half hour of bumping, bashing and destruction, you can’t go far wrong!

Absolutely love this game. I’ve been trying to find a game that was as close to Demolition Derby from the PS1 for years with no luck, but this is great fun and much much better than I expected it to be.
Plays really well on series X. Lots of cars and tracks. Good racing physics. Loads of fun.

Il gioco al dir quanto spettacolare molto realistico, i dettagli come la giuda, i danni, le luci, l’audio e l’esperienza di gioco elevati al massimo, sono davvero molto soddisfatto, consiglio vivamente il gioco poi anche in offerta quindi che aspettate?

A throw back to simple fun video gaming with good old crash, bang racing. Perfect for casual gaming. I don’t get time to play those red dead long drawn out games so this fits the bill perfectly. Buy without hesitation. It’s just good old fashion stick car racing.

Gioco bello e con mezzi bizzarri. Grafica e gaming ottimi. Unico neo la difficolt. O corri per vincere il primo posto oppure devi schiantarti con gli altri. Una volta schiantato risulta difficile riconquistare la vetta in gara. Per il resto tutto perfetto con Amazon!
BUT – the worst thing is the time it takes to load the race. Far too long. Secondly you can purchase cars from the Market but you can’t sell them. Last is that when there is a load of debris on the track some of it is floating in mid-air. None of these is a deal breaker but it’s best to be aware. Otherwise it’s excellent fun!
Our son (nearly 12) loves Forza Horizon 4, and also The Dukes of Hazard. Wreckfest seems a natural progression, and it is fair to say that he loves it. He much prefers driving games to some shoot-em-up “death patrol zombie watch tour of duty robotfest 17”, so as far as I am concerned, this is a big hit. Driving is much better than killing people anyway!
With regards to the posts which says that the games take a long time to load – well, they are not instantaneous, however if your life is so busy that you cannot wait a few seconds, then you either have something wrong with your expectations of real life, or your time management is poor.

Preso in super promozione e devo dire che come gioco molto divertente…io e mio nipote ci divertiamo da matti…lui poi!!
Aspettavo con impazienza l’uscita di questo titolo. Ho adorato i racing della serie Flatout (solo quelli prodotti da Bugbear) e Wreckfest dopo un lungo periodo finalmente arrivato anche su console.
Graficamente molto bello (lo gioco su Xbox One X), con un’ottima fisica (marchio di fabbrica di Bugbear) e una colonna sonora che gasa alla grande 🙂
Anche la longevit eccezionale e continuano ad uscire contenuti sia gratuiti che a pagamento. Ho acquistato il season pass in modo da non perdermi niente.
Il multiplayer online divertentissimo e molto stabile.
Lo consiglio a chiunque apprezza il genere e anche a chi ha voglia di un ottimo e sano divertimento 🙂

Il gioco veramente divertenete, onestamente non capisco il pegi 12. Sono semplicemente delle corse con autoscontro annesse nessuna scena di violenza, onestamente se mio figlio avesse 10 anni gli permetteri di giocarci.

For all the fans going way back to Destruction Derby 1/2 on the original PlayStation, this is what we’ve been waiting for. A much needed injection into the genre which has been absent for a very long time.
Get ready for hours of carnage flying about in banger racers, buses, combine harvesters, sofas and toilets…yes toilets. I’m now in my mid 30’s and it took me right back to the days of getting your mates around and wasting hours in front of the screen!
Only gripe is the loading times which others have stated, although there seems to be a patch coming soon to address this.

From the makers of Flatout, the good ones, Wreckfest is actually a very challenging driving game, especially with the assists turned off.
Plenty of variety in courses and vehicles.
Handling is tricky but fun.
I wouldn’t say this game was accessible for younger players, it can be quite frustrating to lose right on the last corner time & time again.
The main downside to the game are very lengthy loading times, but other than that I’d highly recommend Wreckfest to anyone who is a fan of the old school banger racing titles & wants a new challenge.
Mindless fun and a good laugh smashing up cars rather than playing fifa and smashing up my own controllers!

It’s a very good game, very addictive. A few faults lost it a star. You easily get stuck on fences, and the reverse gear is not very good so you can’t turn around easily. Basically if anything goes wrong at all you may as well start the race again. Apart from having to keep starting again it is good.

For the longest time, I’ve adored driving and racing games. I used to spend hours with the likes of Gran Turismo, WipEout, Project Gotham, Burnout, Flatout, NFS, you name it. Gradually unlocking cars, competing in harder and harder races – getting a feeling for the driving model.
One thing put my enthusiasm for the genre to rest, especially with recent games, and that was open worlds. I’m sick to the teeth of roaming around aimlessly in sandbox-style environments, having everything unlocked from the start and the necessity of having licenced vehicles. It feels like racing games are forgetting to be ‘games’. I thought it was just me getting older (27) and growing out of such things…
Then I heard about Wreckfest.
I’ve not had such a blast playing a racing game since Party Crash mode in Burnout 3 Takedown, or reaching Zen level of Zone Mode in Wipeout HD. Let’s get straight to the point – the physics and damage model in Wreckfest are downright spectacular. When 23 computer cars slam together, with shards of bodywork flying through the air and you’re desperately trying to thread the needle through the chaos, it really gets the heart racing.
The garage of available vehicles consists of unlicenced tributes to some great machines from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. There’s a Volvo 245 Wagon, Saab 96, Chevvy Blazer, Mark III Supra, amongst numerous others. The customization is straightforward, and allows you to make your car individual without going overboard with countless meaningless options. Tuning options are pretty slim, but cover the basics.
The campaign mode presents a nice amount of variety. Standard banger races and demo derbies are interspersed with challenges with wacky vehicles, like limousines, American school busses, ride-on lawn mowers combine harvesters and 3-wheeler Reliant Supervans (like the one in Only Fools and Horses).
The cars handle very nicely, and there’s plenty of difference in handling characteristics between the vehicles. The game doesn’t feel too arcadey (best experienced with the driving assists, TCS and ABS switched off), but isn’t ‘simmy’ to the extent of needing a wheel to play it properly – I’m looking at you, Dirt Rally 2.0! Sliding around on the dirt tracks feels highly satisfying, and most objects you can see cattered around the racetracks are destructible; even fragments of the concrete walls break off when you smash into them!
I do have a few gripes…
Local splitscreen multiplayer is absent, which is a real shame. This game is begging to be played with three friends, in deathmatch mode, or competitive manger racing. It really feels like a missed opportunity. I guess there’s always Destruction Derby 64!
The graphics for the most-part are very nice. The cars look nice and details, and the environments are varied and pleasant to look at. The same cannot be said about the skybox textures, which look pretty workman-like and a bit grainy, especially at sunset. The cars deform in a pretty realistic way, it’s kind of hilarious to see your once Mustang-shaped ride squished to the length of a Peugeot 205 and still driving!. It becomes clear here that the developer compromised realism in terms of how the mechanical parts of the car survive the impacts and destruction. It’s not uncommon to see a wheel floating in space as the rest of the car breaks away around it.
All things considered, this game is an essential purchase for any racing game fan, especially if you enjoyed the old Flatout, Burnout or Destruction Derby games back in the day. You will not be disappointed.
From me it earns a well deserved 9/10
Smashing through the po-faced racing genre that seems to have dominated since Project Gotham died, Wreckfest actually dares to make racing FUN again, and blows the doors off in the process. In a GOOD way!
I quite like the Forza Horizon series, but even that bends to paranoid petrol heads when online, and the endless sim / tweaking genre bores me to death. Clean racing is for squares and dullards. Thankfully, the dudes who developed the Flatout series and have had the genius idea to meld it with the classic Destruction Derby games of old. And the results are joyous!
I can’t remember the last time I actually howled with laughter during a racing game, or had genuinely funny banter with strangers when playing online. Nobody gets their backside in their hand if you dare to nudge them during a race (I’m looking at YOU dullard race sim’s!!) because the whole point is to smash them off the track and avoid the same.
If you want to hark back to the good old days of fun multiplayer racing with a competitive, but hilarious edge, GET THIS GAME. A blissful and colourful sea of carnage and fun in a genre full of grey petrol heads. Thank you Wreckfest!

It does have one major glitch however…ridiculously Long load times between games.
Lets hope they can fix this with a update at some stage…as it really tarnishes the gameplay
