Best wrestling game in about 10 years, they used to be brilliant, then they were average then rubbish, this is 7/10.
Good game won’t be for everyone but definitely worth playing if you are a wrestling fa
Been a fan of WWE since I was a kid in the late 90’s. Rey Mysterio’s showcase mode is what sold it to me because I’ve always liked him. The gameplay was a bonus, the new system feels good, there’s opportunities to do more spots that you couldn’t before like high-flying moves from the ropes or turnbuckles. I’ve enjoyed it so far but I don’t really know a lot of the newer stars so I stick with the veterans
I haven’t played a WWE game for a very long time. This game is great! The GM mode is a little basic but fun enough for a play through or two. The community create mode is brilliant! So many great creations that adds a very good level of fu
2K have done a brilliant job overhauling the graphics and the controls. The game feels smooth on the PS5 and I’ve only had 1 “glitch” in the matrix so far where an arm went through a table and got me stuck there. Haha.
Speaking of the controls, 2K have simplified them.
Hold R up to pick opponent. Press O to grapple. Then either X or or a combination of them and a direction. For a special you just press R2 + X!!!
It’s that simple to pull of some of the most awesome moves in the WWE universe and the changes allow you to focus more on dropping someone to the mat than worrying about what your fingers are doing!
You’ve got MyRise, MyGm, MyFaction, MyUniverse Showcase, Online, Play Now modes to keep you busy and with an impressive roster of wrestlers you can have hours of fun.
(I did pay the extra 3 to unlock a lot of old time superstars but you don’t need to!)
Would have been 5* if not for the price. No game is worth 3 hours wages for me!
