Great extremely compact case with easy access to all tools. Saves me rummaging round my toolbox. Perfect for the home. Great buy
I got this kit to use at work as I’m a handy man and it great got everything I need and more
A quality heavy duty case with professional tools within. Having used the tools in last week, without searching for tools, all being readily available in one location, saves so much time, having to look for tools in different cases. Highly recommended to all.
Happy with this tool kit. Something more for the DIY rather than professional use .everything in the sturdy case is of a good standard. Great for a beginner. Would recommend.
Great compact but if kit to carry in the car for emergencies but the spanner’s you get are intermediate ranges. 7-9mm 12-14mm 15-16mn
Everyone knows these aren’t common use. I had to pop the 8-10-13 & 17mm in myself at extra expense.
My OH loved this, we will take it with us in our motorhome to tackle any little jobs that need doing.
Would be 100% if it had a small saw/ hacksaw type thing. Apart from that it’s great. Compact too.
Great price and has everything you need, even a wine opener !
Has got almost everything for little job around the house
My son is moving out so seemed ideal first tool kit. Toolbox holds absolutely everything you can possibly need, tools are strong and well made in a tidy metal box. Definitely recommend, might actually buy myself one !
Good quality tool kit with everything you need in a very sturdy carry case.
Not had a chance to use it yet but it looks like it will do the job.
Got this for my partner which he choose, once it came and he opened it for his birthday I was really impressed with it and used it plus it has everything you need in the case and so it means more room else where and less tools and stuff everywhere.
Everything stored in order so easy to find things instead of searching round the house.
Purchased for son when he moved into new house
Contained as lot of the tools he needs for household jobs
Great bit of ki
Yes it’s a basic tool set with above average tools in it and a corkscrew too?? But the case is fab and the layout is good for the money it’s just great if you want pro tools go and spend 1k on the same set but for me and my needs it’s fantastic.
Ideal kit for starter set. Would like to have seen a saw included but cheap enough to add later. Stop my granddaughter from complaining she has no tools. Well pleased so far and only time will tell if the tools will last.
Has everything your ever need in a tool set for people who do odd jobs and more. Cracking deal
Amazing product for home, missing a small saw but still very good
Husband really pleased with purchase, it is in a strong box and looks very professional. The tools are all of a good quality. Would definitely recommend
Husband was happy and amazed at the quality and what was included
Great toolkit with everything you need and good quality.
The seller was also very helpful as an item was delivered faulty, they quickly offered a replacement or refund for the item (and the refund arrived very quickly).
Happy with purchase, looks like I be able to fix some stuff in home .
Thanks
Not the best quality but you get more than you paid for it.
J ai reu ce coffre a outils pour offrir j ai regarder furtivement les outils ont l aire de trs bonne qualit la disposition est bien on peu retrouver les outils trs facilement. Apres avoir offer ce coffre je reviendrai vers vous.
The box is surprisingly large and deep. When I collected it at the front door, I was shocked how heavy it was, and that’d make sense due to the amount of metal in there.
The company like to advertise the box as being non slip because of the rubber bumpers in the corner, and I would have to agree. I think that it’s a good quality case, and the rubber pieces definitely help it stay where it is.
When talking about price, this is interesting. This is originally priced close to 90, which is a lot of money. However, if you were to think about what you’re getting for your money, it’s a lot. It is then understandable why one would expect the quality of the tools to be lower quality.
I will use the pliers as an example. These aren’t very good quality – if I were to talk about the diagonal cutters, they do cut closer to the tip, but you can see a noticeable gap closer to the joint/handle. I’ve tried many diagonal cutters, and a lot of them have been bad – the metal is so soft that yo get grooves from everything you cut. This one isn’t so bad actually. The tip can cut paper, and there wasn’t noticeable grooves after cutting thin guitar wire – if no grooves appear after cutting guitar strings, then you can probably say that this will do well for most jobs (like cutting wire or soft mesh). If I were to compare this to a quality tool, I also have a Knipex, which cost me 25, and I expect it to last my entire life. It is also a diagonal cutter but cuts everything at ease without a single mark, while also cutting all along the blade (the two blades make full contact). You can see the appeal of this set then. You can get a very large set of tools, albeit slightly less quality for less than the price of 4 Knipex pliers. I would be very happy with these if they were ground properly, so you can cut things all along the blade – I’ll see what I can do if I have the time.
The first thing that I thought when I saw this kit was “does this have a knife/blade?”. The answer is a kind of yes/no. You see many people making fun of the bottle opener, and I thought that a blade would be much more useful – you can use it to mark materials, open things and sharpen the included pencils. Upon receiving it and looking for it, there is a blade included, but it’s part of the bottle opener. I think that they just included the bottle opener as it was an easy way to include a blade, but I don’t really know (as all the other tools have much more context than a bottle opener). The reason why I wouldn’t consider it fully a blade is because it is so blunt. It looks like it was supposed to be a blade and is sharpened like what you’d find in an army knife, but it’s so blunt that I initially thought it was a letter opener! While a bottle of wine or something may not be appropriate for a job like this, the bottle can open beer bottles too, so it’s not too random.
So like I said, you’re not buying this to replace all the tools in your workshop, but as a kit, it can do a lot of jobs around the house. You are getting this kit for the convenience of everything you need in a nice box which you can also take to places if you need to do simple jobs. This would also be good if you need to leave tools somewhere like in a truck or for a beginner. That said, there’s also no harm in replacing tools if they break.
In the top section you get pliers, an adjustable spanner, a tape measurer, a permanent marker, the bottle opener and two measuring ‘tapes’ with one being a foldable stick. Tape measurer feels really cheap – the cheapest I have felt but it works, and there have been many times when I needed a tape measurer and couldn’t find one in the house. I do see the permanent marker as pointless however – it’s permanent so won’t come off and the bullet tip is wide enough to cause considerable inaccuracies. In fact, the only thing that I can use it for is making signs and crossing out parts to discard.
In the top-middle section, you get some spanners, scissors, Allen keys, a cheap, battery-less torch, a cheap spirit level and most notably a magnetic screw tray. I didn’t previously have a screw tray, so I was very happy when this was included. It makes a lot of sense for something like this to be included and I am grateful about this. The level seems to work, but it feels so cheap, I’m not sure I trust it very much. Spanners feel nice and the scissors make good contact – they’ll do well for opening packets and cutting paper etc… just don’t cut wire with it or you’ll definitely create grooves on this. The Allen keys work, however they don’t feel the best of quality. Like the pliers, I was expecting the metal to be really soft, but it turns out that although softer than good quality tools, it’s still plenty strong for most jobs. The slightly disappointing part is that some of the ends cut are done in a way that there is a burr/lip and could create fitting problems if not ground down (which I’d imagine would be quite easy) with something like the included rasp. The torch is nothing short of ‘puny’. It feels so cheap and doesn’t include any batteries, for which it takes 3 AAA. Instead of a crappy torch like this, go for something like the convoy S21A or S2+ with the bright LEDs if you can.
In the bottom-middle section, you get a ratchet screwdriver, a few screwdrivers, a few precision screwdrivers, two pencils a live tester and a rasp. The rasp is useful and I’m glad they included one, but I’m not too sure on the pencils. Also precision screwdrivers are designed to have a free-rotating piece at the end. These don’t feel good at all – they feel really cheap and they don’t twist in your hand, but again, they get the job done as they have skinny long shafts to fit in small holes.
Included are some white cable ties which I know everyone will consider useful and also some 120 grit sandpaper. You also get a little notepad, which I guess you could use to write what you need to buy at the DIY store but also dimensions, but it’s in the end paper, and I think that most people already have access to paper.
The bottom layer includes sockets and attachments for the ratchet screwdrivers and similar. You also get a box of screws and pin-board pins and some nails. You also get some insulation tape and a small hammer which should do fine for hammering in nails (but can’t remove them), but shouldn’t be used for heavier jobs as there’s no proper method of securing the hammer head to the handle – to me, it just looks like it’s friction fit from the bottom.
That is basically what is included in the kit. This is a convenience kit more than anything else. It’s a bit expensive, but does include a lot. Although the quality could be stepped up a lot, the quality, it should do fine for most simple and quick jobs. In a house, this can save you time going through many tool boxes, but also can be a life saver if you don’t already have one. Although overkill, this could be given to a student living in Uni accommodation for their own projects or simple things like replacing batteries. Like I said, if you’ve stumbled upon this, and are seriously considering it, this could be a viable option, unless you already know what you are doing and are just interested in the novelty of this ‘treasure chest’. I think that this kit would greatly benefit with the inclusion of a blade such as a junior hacksaw. There is a lot of things inside of the kit, resulting in the kit bulging a bit when closed. I would have preferred there to be something like a small lock on the box just to make sure that it wouldn’t open accidentally during transportation.
I am planning on replacing one of the pencils with a compass, and the other with a mechanical pencil. The level may be upgraded and the torch definitely will. Proper planning needs to be done so that a useable blade is included if possible. Others will be replaced when they break or if they don’t work. I really do like this formfactor.
I needed a toolkit to keep in my campervan, being pushed for space the dimensions of this product were ideal. The number of various tools in such a small case is impressive!
Ideal to keep neatly in the house, for when you really want to avoid going outside, unlocking the garage….
It might at first seem slightly bizarre to include the rather nice corkscrew, especially when there’s no space for a bottle of wine alongside it. Nevertheless, I very much approve. Maybe WZG also sell a picnic hamper containing a claw hammer. Or perhaps my knowledge of German DIY culture is simply lacking.
This is a compact, easy to carry case with a good range of useful tools of a reasonable quality, all neatly organised. However, you’ll have to carry your wine separately. And, please, don’t start drinking until you’ve either finished the job or given up on it. Then you can either celebrate or drown your sorrows.
