Bought for my dad to keep his dog from running away. Works brilliantly, I saw it in action, and now can leave the gate open and the dog will not go out! It really really saved us a lot of trouble of opening the gate all the time. The dog got “stung” twice and yellped out and hasn’t come close any more. Lesson learned.
I hooked this up in <5min. The pets learned not to go near it in less than that.
Used to energise new paddock set up of 500m rope. Perfect and very easy to use
Completely stopped working after 6 months on use. It had been used for less than 40 days in total
Only had it for a few weeks but the product is working fine. We had a battery/electric system previously which was stolen. Easy to use and in an area of foxes and badgers gives me confidence I can keep my chickens safe.
Easy enough to install if you have a basic understand of electrics. The tail cables provided were too short though and I had to make up my own. Fitted within garage and wired around perimeter fence to keep cat out. Seems to be effective.

Bought alongside various chains and disc locks to make my bike as safe as possible. I sincerely hope that the horse strength electric shock attatched to my garage door fries some hood rats 5 brain cells. Why should they be able to go around, stealing things I have worked years to save up for? If it had some sort of Star Trek ‘set phasers to kill’ setting, i’d use it.

his item is working as i had hoped, very good value, the cat took a shock and it looked pretty strong, the cat shot off like a bullet after doing a back flip, poor thing, very happy to recommend this product.
update: received my fence tester today and I can happily reveal that my fence is running at 6000v OUCH…..

Packing suggests the kit comes with a voltage checking set of LEDs. This is not the case – other than a single power LED the only way to check it’s working is to touch the cabling. An external waterproof socket is required.
Reasonably easy to set up (instructions could have been better, but it isn’t complicated) and good to be mains-powered. It works well – no more heron at my pond!
My dog (Jack Russel) has a habit of chewing through fence panels and escaping even though the fence is also covered in chicken wire. She has ruined many a fence panel over the years and defied every effort to stop her so I thought I would try this. All I had to do is drive the earth stake in and connect the live clip to the chicken wire. 3 days later she let out a huge yelp and came bombing back in the house after attempting another escape. She has not been near the fence since.(2 weeks) It was so good I bought one for my mums garden to keep her dog of the rotavated soil and to stop her dog getting covered in mud. He too now avoids the wire fence at all costs. Brilliant bit of kit and well worth every penny.

Gave a 600kg cow a good rattle, about 500M from the power unit. Working well so far for strip grazing.

It’s very easy to install.
The only fault I would say is that the image shows an earth stake and wire for fence attachment these are not included in the box. It is only the energiser unit, you will need to purchase an earth stake and some line out cable.

Easy to fit in the shed with a standard plug. No more running around changing leisure batteries and the horses are most respectful. Not hugely powerful, but once the boys remembered that white string HURTS they stay well away. Will definitely get some more once the rain stops, but since this is Cornwall it may be some time.
Effective for deterring badgers digging up my lawns – 2 low level wires has done where everything else failed.

Great does the job but it works better on the electric rope or metal fencing. The large tape I have do not allow the current to flow to advertised length but I does keep in a Welsh A so it sure does work!

These units are usually 12v operating from battery in remote sites. If you are in range of mains then this is small and powerful. Just the job.

This is really small in size and just plugs into the new power socket in an out-house next to the field.

The output is only 0.5 joules, which is on the low side, so ideal for shorter fences without breaking the bank. We still get 5 out 5 on the fence tester and a much better shock than the 12v (just ask the horse!). They only did it once.
