Got this for my son who only really plays fc games, great little adition but if you are a “hardcore” gamer and want the best then go for the series x
Ordering anything this expensive is always something to be cautious about. Luckily, once I ordered and paid for it, i was provided with a security code that would ensure that only I would receive the item without anyone trying to steal it without me knowing. Only after I gave the code was the item delivered and it was handled and delivered with care. The console was brand new, packaged well and I am happy with it.
That is a great console.
I had a Xbox one and it was fine, but a bit slow and a few games were migrating to only cloud or only Xbox series, so I decided to get one and my only regret is not to have a 4k monitor. The design of it, how compact it is, how versatile, all in it is great, but the best graphics can only be shown if you have 4k monitor. Another down side would be the storage, but it is fixable, if you need, with a extension card or you could opt for the black version with 1Tb.
5 stars for me and if you want the best out of it, make sure the storage is enough for you and you have a ideal monitor.
I got this series s for my son, And wow it was so good for the price as i got it for 180 on black friday, It can run 120 fps on every game he plays except cod. Im delighted i put my money to good use for something he could enjoy. If your looking for more storage id recommend going to ebay for 1tb and get it for around 100, My total for this xbox and a storage expansion came to 280. Cheaper than the black one!

The performance of this little box for the price genuinely astounds me.
As mentioned the box itself is tiny, it’s super quiet despite the size and the design is beautiful.
Yep, I could sing the praises of this box all day long, not to mention with a Game Pass Ultimate Subscription you have a Next Gen Console with literally 100s of games for less than 300.

Its make Fallout76 easy to play, when it was on my Xbox One S it keeps crashing and the markers will not do anything about, so I brought more up to date model so I can play this game and any new ones as any new games that come out will only come out for series X or S not Xbox One, if it does you only get basic game not any extra which comes with series s or x
I originally brought the Xbox Series S so I can have the latest console and have a better game library, these are my thoughts:
The console isn’t as heavy as the Xbox one S.
I was able to have more games, as well as other things.
And it was delivered in perfect condition, well done Amazon and Microsoft.
This console is undoubtedly the best value for money in the market. But with that price there’s a couple of draw backs for the gamers out there. It doesn’t have much storage so with you won’t be able to download lots of big games. This can be fixed by buying a storage expansion but it costs a lot of money. Finally the controller is battery operated in a world where most devices are charged by usb it makes the controller feel like it was released in 2001. Those two issues aside this is still great value for money and has a great library of games for you to play.
My use of the Series S has been primarily for smaller “indie” games, as I tend to play the bigger AAA titles on the Series X. Despite not pushing it to its limits, the Series S has performed flawlessly for these games. And its compact size and minimalist look make it perfect for a living room setup and doesn’t annoy the missus (too much).
Additionally, last Christmas, I bought a Series S for my dad along with a Game Pass subscription. He’s been playing non-stop and has nothing but praise for it even with the larger titles.
In conclusion, the Xbox Series S might be the smaller sibling in the Xbox family, but it’s a powerhouse for casual gaming. Its performance, coupled with its compact size, makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy a wide range of games without the need for high-end gaming setup.

Bought for husbands birthday. A great price and was repacked like it was new. Which made it a perfect gift! He’s loving playing on it and had no issues. It’s no different from a brand new one!

This is my third purchase after having to return the last two. Hopefully third time lucky. It was the controller that was the problem. I must say the service I received from customer service each time was excellent!!!!
Got this for my missus, she’s very happy and the xbox compared to ps5 is very small and portable – so can be taken elsewhere without any problems (size of a big book)
I’ve had a PS5 since launch but got the Series S as it was a good deal plus I wanted to take advantage of Game Pass and play Starfield when it comes out. So you’ll probably see me comparing the two consoles a lot.
First the good. As a console it’s powerful enough to cope with all the new releases. The size of the thing is astonishingly small compared to the PS5 and the minimalistic design is clean and crisp. The customisable menus and options are great, especially folders which is currently sorely missing from the PS5. The ability to buy and play games from the original Xbox to the current generation is great for nostalgia (I’m very tempted to revisit Lost Odyssey). The ability to carry on where you left off when switching between games is handled a lot better on the Xbox than PS5. Also the Game Pass subscription is good value and means you rarely have to purchase additional games. Lets face it, considering there’s no disc drive most people who purchase the Series S will be subscribing to Game Pass.
Then the bad points. When I first turned the console on I decided to install Halo Infinite and Forza 5, then I realised I had used way over half of the available hard disk space. Basically the base drive space is not big enough and you have no option than to buy an additional hard drive if you want more than a handful of games installed. This can be achieved either through an external hard drive or an overpriced official expansion. I found the controller feels a bit cheap compared to the PS5, nothing to ruin the experience but it just doesn’t feel next gen to me. In my opinion the Xbox’s UI feels quite cluttered and whilst it gets the job done, it does feel a bit like menus within menus. I’ve also noticed that there are a few bugs within the UI where on rare occasions the menus/processes hang or don’t load.
Overall I can’t fault the Xbox Series S for the price I paid. It’s great value for money and although it isn’t as powerful as the Series X or PS5, it’s a an excellent option for those who don’t want to spend a huge amount on a next gen console. There are a few minor annoyances as I previously mentioned, with the only major one being the tiny hard drive.
What I like about this Xbox Model is that it arrived in good time. It is compact and in good quality. Games are in high quality Video and Audio and the graphics are awesome. The only drawback is that you can’t really install many games because of the limited storage capacity, you can of course purchase external storage, but it is usually expensive. For my requirements it is sufficient, and you can download several apps also and use the built in browser to surf the web, but limited in my opinion. Overall, a good buy for the casual game
I’m not much of a gamer if I’m honest, but I do like to use this console for flight simming.
This is (almost) perfect for that role. It’s quick enough and has enough grunt to render the ever changing scenery. Storage is a bit limited given the ever growing size of update files, but it can be expanded. Of course, there is a wide variety of games available that will run very well on the console. Having no disc drive does limit its capabilites a bit, meaning that you may have to repurchase any games you have on disc, but I didn’t have any, so not a problem for me.
Extra storage can be added, but I don’t need it, and I think it is a bit expensive. But the Series S is good enough for me at the moment.
I just love the new xbox series s it is fast but will be much faster by the time I add my external ssd it’s priced fair I love the crisp clean look of it and ease of use is a doddle setup in 10 minutes trust me go buy it it’s perfect for the price only con is the amount of storage left over by the xbox system files under 400gb of storage hence the external ssd I bought a wd_black p50 3.2 USB 2×2 500gb ssd its overkill for xbox but it will be turbo mode
