I love this thing! It was perfect! But, it stopped working and no one in customer service has gotten back to me. So, it you want it for a few years use it and then know it may stop working and your just out and will need to get a new one. Not good. Sadly, I’m looking or another brand.

Now I just pick up my favorite guitar and play! no fussing around before hand. Wish I had gotten these sooner!

Worked OK so far. Seems to have good battery life and OK sound quality. Does seem to cut out when line of sight is interrupted even at distances of about 20 feet away from receiver.

I played 2 outdoor shows with it so far and battery lasted through 3 hour show fine. Does seem to roll off a lot of low end sound wise. A bit more than I’d want. Also did drop out the signal any time I left the stage for some reason.

So, our sound guy was very apprehensive about using these. He said he has experienced signal delays and tonal issues on the ones that some other musicians had tried. I guess you get what you pay for. While not overly pricey, my initial experience was great. My sound guy was surprised and could not tell any significant difference vs. my cable connection. After previously purchasing (and enjoying instant success) with the wireless In-Ear-Monitor units from Xvive, I trusted them for this system and was not disappointed. Charge them, set the channels to match, plug them in and go! I plugged the receiver into my effects pedal, the transmitter into the guitar and played on. If you want to be set free from that cable nuisance, try this out. and BE FREE!

The Xvive U2 pairs instantly and functions flawlessly. Having four frequency option is nice since I also use other Bluetooth accessories at the same time. I would recommend them to my friends.

I’m using this wireless system on my fiddle. Normally I have to use a pre-amp, but this unit transmitted the signal to my amp without it. Perfect sound quality.

We purchased this wireless system for our church so our guitarist wouldn’t be restricted by a cord. The sound has been great and the connection never cuts out. Super happy with this purchase!

I decided to take the plunge and go for a wireless transmitter for my Cordoba classical electro-acoustic, despite already having an old early model by a different manufacturer, which was next to useless. Another guitarist recommended Xvive, as he’s had 5 years of good use and counting, without the rechargeable battery dying.
The best thing is that the quality of the sound is noticeably improved over using a cable, plus no stress on the output jack socket. Considering I’m using a nylon string, it’s amazing to hear such faithful amplified sound reproduction, the best I’ve achieved to date.

I’ve added a small velcro tab at the end of the transmitter, and on my guitar body, to stop the unit revolving in the jack socket when I pick up or put down the guitar. The velcro easily keeps it fixed in place.

This gets 4 stars, because these units seemingly still have no option to replace the battery once it dies, which is annoying. But even so, the savings on cables plus no wear and tear on the guitar socket balances that cost.

Some other reviewers have noted that this device doesn’t work with their active pickups. The product packaging (but NOT the Amazon listing, tut tut) makes it clear that this MIGHT be a problem: “The U2 is suited for all electric string instruments with passive pickups. Performance with active pickups will vary depending on the type of pickup”.

My experience on that, for what it’s worth, is positive. I’ve tried it with these active pickups:

    – Fishman Rare Earth soundhole humbucker (button battery)
    – Mimesis soundhole single coil (button)
    – B-Band A3T undersaddle (9v) factory-fitted in a Tanglewood acoustic guitar
    – Unknown brand ‘ASE-N’ (9v) factory-fitted in an Ozark tenor guitar
    – Fishman lsysT (?) (9v) factory-fitted in a Martin LX1E
    – Myers ‘Feather’ (button battery) and ‘Clamp’ (basically the same thing with two different mounts)

It worked first time, every time, with all of them. The Myers ones were interesting because although Myers calls them ‘pickups’, they’re actually little condenser microphones. This puts them outside the intended use, but they were just fine.

I’ve also tried it with a slew of passive pickups including Seymour Duncan (humbucker) and K&K Twin (piezo discs, in a mandolin). You’d expect it to work well with them because it was designed for them. It did. It was specially nice on the Yamaha electric violin YEV-5 (passive), where cable drag can be a problem for the player.

As far as I can tell, the sound quality is the same as with a cable. Of course, to test that, you’ve got to listen one way, then swap connectors and listen again. I don’t know about you, but my ears have short memories. For what it’s worth, it sounded the same to me. I’m reasonably fussy, your Coefficient of Fuss may vary.

In the same way, volume level is the same as a cable. Same caveats apply.

I tried it from two rooms away, say about twelve metres, through two concrete walls and a steel radiator. It worked. I tried it in the same room as my WiFi router. It worked.

I’ve given it four rather than five stars because it seems a bit expensive for what it is – a cable replacement. I haven’t gigged it yet. If it performs reliably at gigs where there are lots of magnetic fields and radio signals flying about, I’ll put it up to six stars ( Nigel Tufnel) because then it will be worth its weight in gold. It weighs 41gms per unit, by the way. At today’s UK gold price that would make the pair worth 113.57, so it’s a pretty good gauge for once.

No loss in sound quality that I can detect (bass guitar). Range is perfectly adequate for rehearsal and small stage work. Have not had any problems with interference (guitarist in band has a similar product from a different manufacturer). Quality good although switches feel a little flimsy – time will tell. Not the cheapest but I think you get what you pay for. Free from that cable at last!!!

This is the first wireless unit I’ve bought in the 43 years I’ve been playing bass. It was easy to charge, and use. Just turn it on, and it syncs up. Easily has enough power to last an entire 4+ hour gig

If you tend to move around during playing, interact with the audience or simply are annoyed by cables; this is for you. I’ve had it for 4 years now and have no complaints what so ever. Easy to setup and once it’s going, you’ll forget it’s there. I’ve had no noise introduced in my gear or to date any dropouts in the signal. When I play live it’s between 2 – 3 hours, battery is rated for 5 hours. There are cheaper solutions, but the peace of mind I’ve developed using it, makes it worth every penny.

I’ve only had the Xvive U2 for about a week, but so far, it has worked out really well and I’ve been very impressed. I’ve used it with a couple of different stratocasters, a telecaster and a semi-hollow guitar with humbuckers. I was worried about the transmitter on the guitar working well with the various jack configurations and to be honest, once I start playing, I don’t even realize it’s there. So nice not having a cable. I hear no difference in tone, and have no interference issues even though I’m surrounded by a lot of WiFi signals from surrounding houses. If you are on the fence or have been for a while, like me, I’d recommend giving them a shot.

A very good system, albeit with a couple of caveats:

You may experience interference with your PC’s wireless connectivity if you use the system in close proximity to a PC that already has difficulty seeing a router, regardless of which channel you switch the units to (there’s a choice of four).

Sadly not suitable for my Stratocaster when setup with its tremolo system due to the location of the output jack and the profile of the transmitter. Unless your bridge plate is set very high and/or the tremolo arm is only screwed in very loosely your arm will likely snag on the transmitter, regardless of the angle you set the transmitter at.

Build quality is high and battery life between charges seems good. Battery lifetime is unknown, however, and like most items with built-in lithium or similar batteries it appears these things are destined for landfill once they can no longer hold a charge (I do appreciate that replacable batteries come at a cost and will affect size, but 100 isn’t a trivial amount of money to spend on a system).

Been using this set up with an Acoustasonic amp for a Taylor 360e rhythm guitar ( acoustic electric ) for several months every Sunday.
We have been very happy with it and very glad we took a chance on this product.
No sound board issues. At all.
For battery life we have not had any issues either. Use has been 45-60 minutes of sound check and practice then 1 hour of play then shut off as we exit the platform (stage).
    Recommend!

Very simple to use, out of the box and running in less than 5 minutes. Haven’t had it long, so even under current circumstances I don’t know how well it would be live, but tooling around my apartment the signal didn’t cut out. I bought it on a whim because it was cheap and the FCC is making my current wireless obsolete. So far not disappointed.

These are more expensive than other offerings and only work on 4 channels rather than the six that other brands offer but I can vouch for their quality and reliability. There is no discernible difference between using these and a cable. They are silent (no hiss or hum) and work perfectly on all my guitars including electric, acoustic and bass. There is no interference from one channel to another except that I would recommend that each transmitter is at least 12″ away from any others to avoid signals getting blocked. The battery life is awesome, charging is fast and the range is excellent. Apart from the price being a bit high and not having tried other cheaper models, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I saw a couple of respected players using this version of this very common Chinese form factor wireless rig months ago and had to try it. This is after buying and returning an identical appearing system that cost about 1/4 what the XVive does. I had two guys tell me they now use this and have sold off their $450 Shure systems!
I’m (usually) on bass and this is more for convenience rather than a “show” tool. No cable to trip over or come unplugged. I’ve A/B’d the sound with cabled in my studio, my ears can’t tell the difference. Maybe it would be apparent in a pro studio setting, but I wouldn’t bother with wireless there anyway. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic product.
Tried a set of budget transmission first and was disappointed with the sound quality and latency, so returned them and tried these and the don’t disappoint.
If there is latency then I can’t hear it, from he sound is as good as a lead and the quality for the unit is what you would expect.
One tiny fault is that when plugged into an amp the on off switch rattles to the sound! A bit of tape solved that otherwise this is spot on. You pay for what you get with these products.

These units deliver great sound quality, a good battery life and just the joy of being free from the cable. No more tripping or tangling. Brilliant.
Just one word of caution. If you have a guitar which gives you feedback problems now these may exacerbate them. I have a 2001 Gibson LG 3 which was always prone to feedback and just squeals when I try xvive with it. However, all my others, a strat and other electro-acoustics perform just as well as they did with high end cables fitted.

These are perfect for me. Simple to set up & use. The design is what I liked. The swivel feature along with the curvature of the the units keeps them out of the way. I have not experienced any issues with batteries. We rehearse once a week. These will easily do that & allow me to practice for several hours before the next rehearsal. I recharge them once a week. There never seems to be a loss of signal with these. This XVIVE system is WAY better than another brand I purchased. Even though both systems got similar reviews, these are the best, by far.

I use it with my Fender Stratocaster and Ovation 12 String Acoustic.

I use it in the same room, so distance is not an issue, and it fits in both without issue, it is not in the way, better on the electric since it is in front, where as the Ovation is below the strap, and even a cord gets in the way, I wish it was using the strap nut, but that is the Guitar, this thing just works, and sounds good, and I use it to go to my hearing aids, not my amp, but it works for both.

Aucun souffle aucun bruit rien. Tester sur 3 guitares diffrentes (strat fender, Godin acs nylon, folk avec micro rosace lr baggs) rsultats identique sur chacune des 3 guitares.

Je prcise les avoir utilis trs fort volume.

On se sent libre ! 😉

Works well if you don’t move around too much. I use it for sound checks and generally getting away from the amp to see what the tone is actually like out front but I usually end up cabling up once I know I’m set. When walking around, even close to the receiver, it hiccups enough to bug me. In the heat of the gig, especially with a whole band, I doubt if one would even notice the hiccups. Walking around solo for sound check, it is definitely noticeable. Tone, power and battery life all seem fine.

I first got the Xvive U2 – it has significant background white noise. I then got the NUX-B2, which has the same or slightly more noise, in addition to dropouts at close range (less than 5 ft). Dropouts get worse as the battery level approaches 50%. Haven’t noticed that with Xvive.
I’d like a less noisy third option, but if i had to keep one of them it would be the Xvive U2

    Works with Taylor ES2 pickup

Worked straight away, great battery life, at least several hours (not tested the full extent). Perfect quality sound and instant pairing. The case of the units and the buttons seem a bit cheap for the price though.
