This unit was bought to replace an almost identical unit that was just badged differently. That one lasted us over 5 years before developing an intermittent fault on booting-up after being powered down. It was just a case of removing the original machine and replacing it with this one, connecting up the power, cameras, monitor, mouse, networking cable, going through the registration process and it was up and working. The app is really useful and gives the CCTV system an added dimension by being able to be monitored remotely on and off the premises. If it lasts 5 years like the old one it will be really good value!
I purchased this 2 years ago to replace an inferior CCTV Recorder.
I usually view on my phone via the App, but now would like to view on my laptop. I emailed deatti direct for instructions. They replied within minutes with instructions, and after downloading a program I’m happily up and running via laptop too. The customer service is 10/10, and the system works great.
I bought this item in august 2019 and today I have come home yet again to the screen saying format has finished I click ok and next day it’s back on the screen any ideas ???? Other than this error very good system
This is a great value product! I bought this as a replacement for my previous box and it work a treat. Very good quality and great value for money. The android app works fine on mobile phone. The support email gives you the latest program to use on PC. Very helpful.
Not sure on tech support as I haven’t needed it, it was true plug and play. The app is easy to use and install as well. Very impressed for the price
This was bought to replace a 5 yr old DVR. The old unit took hours to work out all of the parameters to get it to talk to the router and stream to XMeye.
This unit was almost plug and play – very easy to set up, very easy to interface to the router and stream to the t’internet with nice crisp video and easy to use interface.
Very pleased.
Great value for money. Old unit died a death so this was a simple swap out and I was up and running in literally minutes.
Works spot on from the box easy setup and view anywhere in the world

Replaced a ten year old system that broke. Super simple replacement, not had it long but seems to work very well. Also the customer support seems good.
Does exactly what it says on the box and great back-up/after-sales service!
Took a little time to work out the settings for each camera, also to set motion only record. worked it out in the end.
Great picture quality and really easy to set up. I am using 2 different types of cameras with no problems
System setup and running in less than an hour, works as expected with no issues.
Received the dvr. Easy setup. Works with all my cameras as all different formats..couldn’t set up my ptz cam as the small green plug was missing. Lisa at customer service sorted that out for me with apart refund so ordered one..cant fault the service or unit. Thanks for your help lisa.
We already had cameras from a previous system so we were just replacing the DVR. It was easy to set up and the instructions were clear. Managed to get the PC viewer working as well as the phone app.
A good basic unit does what it designed to do .
This was bought to replace my old Swann unit which worked but was very difficult to get to connect to the internet to enable remote viewing.
This system was much easier to set up and was a doddle to set up to work for remote viewing which is why I wanted a cctv system in the first place.
Only downside was that the instruction were poor. if you have had a cctv before you should be able to figure it out. i watched a couple of videos on youtube which helped. 90% was simple nut setting the cameras to only record when they detected motion was not obvious. By default they all record all the time.
For the price a bargain.
Very simple setup and seems to work fine. The BNC connectors are a bit tight but once on seem OK.
I bought the system to replace an old DVR i had. This one was simple to install. Just put in the cables from the cameras, hook up a monitor and bingo.
It uses the XMeye app which was also simple to set up. When you start up the system for the first time it runs you through a series of screens to get the system software configured to your requirements. It gives you those square barcodes you can point your Iphone camera at and it automatically takes you to the app in the app store, and then the app allows you to do the same again with another square barcode to automatically add the IP system to the app. All very simple!
I also added a 4tb hard drive to the enclosure as i had a spare. All i had to do was open up the unit, plug in the new hard drive i had and bingo! i now have a 4TB system.
I purchased this after my old unit died.
It was delivered early – even over the Black Friday period, well done Amazon.
The vendors customer service is excellent with lots of support.
The unit itself is first class. Much smaller than my old one’ and silent running.
Picture quality and night vision are really good.
As it was to replace my old unit, it was set up and working in a couple of moments, but an install from scratch would be very simple.
It isn’t set up online or my phone, so I can’t comment but I can’t see that it wouldn’t be any bother to set this up.
All in all a great buy and I would recommend giving this unit a try – you wont be disappointed.

This item was used to replace an existing item that had stopped working and was installed by a professional company. I was worried that I might struggle to get the replacement setup and working. The item arrived and basically took the cables off of the old unit and installed them on y new unit, turned it on and then followed some very easy to follow instructions, and that was it up and running within minutes. Great item and excellent communications when I did need to contact them for a little bit of advice, pretty much and instant response. via Whatsapp. Great item for the money.
System connects to my android phone and IPad with the app and my home PC with the software that you can get from emailing them (Great customer support) without any problems. Very impressed for the price super unit.
Dvr is very good and easy to use, more or less plug and play.
Had this 16ch running for a several weeks and was very easy to install . Had an issue with my camera’s emailed support and got a very quick response – turned out to be my external power supply was not functioning correctly – even though the problem was not associated with the product they responded and were very helpful to resolve my problem

Easy to set up (as a replacement for an old unit, of a different make, which had developed a hard drive fault). Good customer support on a query I had regarding menus. Good value for the cost IMHO…
Does exactly what it needs to, setup and config easy, playback and download / save very simple to do. Remote viewing through Browser is great. All in all a great device for not a lot of money!
Great little DVR and at a very good price. Great that the system recognises different camera formats.
The down side – very poor instructions that arrived with the camera.
There is a DVD with the unit but my laptop does not have a media player – had to work out what to do for recording, playback, saving etc and write a brief set of instructions for the user.
memory be better to add a little more to price and include a USB memory stick with complete and precise instructions.
Works with my existing cameras …a bit noisy but good value for money ….well pleased
