abbitgoo No Pull Dog Harness Small, Front Clip Pet Vest Harness with Handle Adjustable Padded Harness Easy Control Harness for Outdoor Training Walking Black

rabbitgoo No Pull Adjustable Dog Harness – Designed for Your Dog, and You.
Many dogs tend to pull a lot when they are excited to feel the nature or to meet the new furry friends. Our harness features No-Pull design so that you can have a better control of your dog by attaching the leash to the front clip. Every time your dog pulls, he/she got turned around instead of continuing forward and pulling on the leash. Soon your dog will learn not to pull.
The soft and breathable padding will give your dog a snug fit around the whole body, so your dog will feel secured and comfortable while wearing it, making the walk even more enjoyable.
The materials that we used to craft our harness are all of premium quality, so your dog will wear it like a champ.

Bought this for my 6.5kg cavapoo to stop him pulling on walks.
Quality seems great, feels sturdy looks good and I feel confident that it will last.
I ordered the small and the size is perfect, however when tightened to allow two fingers gap as per instructions it’s then too tight to get over my pups head, so I have to tighten and loosen every time we use it. This may well be due to the shape/breed. It’s a faff I could do without (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) but to be honest if it stops the pulling I’ll happily live with it.
He doesn’t like the front clip and keeps manoeuvring his front leg over it but it’s very early days so I’m sure he just needs to get used to it, I can definitely see how it prevents pulling though. I’ve noticed a big improvement even using the back clip, so overall I’m very pleased.
We bought this for our 2 year old sprocket, who pulls like a rocket with a back clip harness, she can pull for a solid 8km…. but oh my goodness this harness worked from the 1st walk, she followed commands much better, pulled a little at first but got the idea. 2nd walk today was so enjoyable. I just wish we had found this months ago. She also seemed to enjoy her walk more. Definitely would recommend.
Was using a slip lead for my 10 month Labrador before purchasing this and it is an absolute game changer. Feel so much more in control and don’t feel like he’s choking either. Combined this with a double lead and it has made our on lead walks so much more pleasurable within a few days of using it! He has also swam with it on and it dried really quickly.
Bought this to replace an expensive harness recommended by our dog trainer (which our dog got hold of and promptly destroyed!!). It fits very well and gives very good control of our dog when the lead is attached to the ring on the dog’s chest. Best of all it has entirely stopped our Labrador pulling all the time when we’re out for a walk. Even my wife, who’s only five foot nothing, can control her easily now. It seems well made and cleans up easily in the washing machine if our dog decides to roll in mud (or worse!!).
This is a review after the first use, I will update if anything drastically changes.
This product has changed the way I view walks. We have a 4 month old Lab and have before now gone through 2 different harnesses with back loop only, an EzyDog harness and a comfort harness. Walks have been a NIGHTMARE with him constantly darting from side to side, wanting to say hello to everyone and everything and pulling us along at every opportunity.
Believe the reviews. This thing has changed my excitable puppy into a walking companion. He’s easy to control, walking to heel and I’m not dreading tomorrow mornings walk.
Also a note to add it feels quality and solid. Buy it.
I bought a large for my springador but had to send back and then get an XL. Fits perfectly. Well made and appears comfortable. Not so sure it stops him pulling though!
This is a very nice, well made harness and looked good on my black pup. The reflective stitching was really bright when tested with a flash photo in the dark. There’s lots of padding and a soft lining. Unfortunately, my spaniel turned out to be an in between size.
He needed a M girth for his deep chest, but it was slightly too wide round his skinny neck – even when adjusted to the smallest size. As soon as we put the lead on it started to pull and twist to the side and he’s a strong puller, so it has to be comfy. Sadly I’ve had to return and the search for the perfect harness continues.
I got this with my dog along with a bungee lead. Up to now he pulled on the lead so badly and it was so unpleasant to walk him, to the point we were beginning to wonder about keeping my beloved brat as all the pulling has lead an old back injury playing up. Today hubby and I headed out with my boy in his new harness with the lead connected to the clip on his chest area. It was like walking a different dog. I could not believe how well this worked, it was such a pleasant experience, all three of us had a great time. My dog wasn’t hurting in any way, he enjoyed his walk, just over-all an wonderful walk. Couldn’t recommend this harness more.
This is a strong harness and easy to put on my large Chow Chow, however it does not stop him pulling!!
Me and my boyfriend have tried every single training harness , collar , training method and he just would not respond to anything at all, he doesn’t take treats outside he jus wanted to pull and go go go, this harness is honestly like magic and I wish I had found it sooner. It pulls his front if he pulls and auto corrects for you and now he will walk by my side and if he tries to pull he just trips himself up so it doesn’t rip your arm out or cause any discomfort, we are finally arguing over who gets to hold the lead instead of not wanting to!
Good product generally and stopped pulling right away. But unfortunately chafed badly his underarms despite adjusting it in various ways. The nylon just rubs under his arms and his skin got very red
This is a strong, secure and comfortable dog harness when fitted correctly. Our dog doesn’t resist as much when it’s time to get ready for a walk so from that we assume it’s more comfortable than her previous harness. While it’s a good quality harness it doesn’t stop her from pulling which shows there’s no substitute for training.
Our dog seems to be very happy with it.
I like the idea of the padding.
My husbands words were it’s great!!
Delivered today, walked our 7 month old Lurcher with it in tonight. He had been awful on his usual lead recently to the point where my arm and shoulder would hurt. Tonight he wore his new harness and it was like a magic wand had been waved! I attached his lead to the chest loop and at first he did walk a bit oddly lifting his front leg. 10 mins in – the comedy walk went and he trotted by my side beautifully. No pulling whatsoever. I can honestly say this is the best money we have spent on him so far. Would 100% recommend
My 21kg puggle is a bad puller, he normally pulls the whole way on his walk and I’m forever yanking him back or standing still then moving again and he just carries on pulling! I’ve been pulled for 5 years then thought I’d try thisI’ve used it for 5 days now and he hasn’t pulled from the first day of using with his lead clipped to the chest ring! It does twist around on his body a bit using that one so I have now bought a halti training lead and clip both the front and back rings so it’s like horse reins and so far so goodmakes our walk much nicer! He does still pull when he sees other dogs though 🙂
Disappointed with the sizing of this harness. I read the reviews and checked the sizing chart and confirmed the sizes for my golden retriever. I bought the large and although I can get it on him it feels to tight and the clips that secure it seem to be in a very uncomfortable position for him.
Easy to use and comfy for my dog. Allows control both from and back. Doesn’t eliminate pulling but helps. Not the easiest to tighten and comes a bit loose when it’s been used a few times
Very happy and it mostly stays tight on however will loosen Slightly after a long walk but it’s much better than my previous harnesses.
I do find the front ring useless as the whole harness twists if that’s used.
My 6 month old staff x mastiff puppy almost pulled me over the other day and is getting more confident out on walks . I first tried this with just the back harness for me it still pulls as much and then the front harness which there is a big difference but he cant walk straight I then put another lead on so I have front and back leads which has made a huge difference. It took a bit of getting used to for both of us but I now have full control and no pulling at all . He walks like a different dog and slow enough so I can stop comfortably. I was getting worried that as a small person I would have problems walking him but now we are both enjoying the walks much more with no stress. He is a much calmer dog on walks now .
Not particularly easy to adjust but did it in the end and pup seems to love it. He’s a 5 month old beauceron x gsd x lab mix and it will last him a good while! The orange is nice and visible against his black fur. Only downside is the d rings are plastic which worries me a little as the clip on his lead is metal, seems like it could snap. No issues so far though!
This is a good harness but, my cockerspaniel still pulls & has worked out a way to dig his heels in, pull his head down low & slip loose of it. It’s a real Houdini movement!! BUT, despite this, in general I do still rate this harness!
Had this for about a month now and washed it multiple times, still in great condition. Bought a size large for my Great Dane puppy (4-5 months old), perfect fit. Only trouble is it needs to be quite slack to get over her large head and then it’s a fuss to tighten whilst it’s on her body, so it’s not as snug as it could be but does a good job. Reflective straps are a good feature.
May review again in a couple of weeks but OMG, what a walkies changer. Been on three walks since this arrived yesterday and I’m walking a different dog, there’s a slight tug which with other harnesses and various leads would of been an arm stretcher or me needing to grab the nearest lamp post to avoid being pulled over. We haven’t met another dog yet and it’s early days, the only issue so far was trying to tighten the chest straps which wasn’t easy and took a couple of hours putting it on and taking it off to get it right, Lexie was still able to jump up at me a couple of times this morning but I think this was more a case of ” you’ve stopped me pulling so I’ll annoy you another way.” Being a defiant pup!
I was a little sceptical after having been through 3 harnesses already in 3 month, but the positive reviews persuaded me to try this one out and I’m so glad I did. Once I’d got it fitting correctly I could tell my dog was really comfortable; it really is a beautiful fit plus it looks really smart too. In addition the clips are both very secure but also easy to release; the other harnesses I’ve tried have either been a faff to put on or have not felt very secure. My dog walks like a dream on this harness and it makes it easy to allow her to walk on a loose lead but still have plenty of control to pull her in check if required. Both doggo and owner are very happy and I would definitely repurchase. I really would highly recommend this harness
Great harness, my 6 stone dog no longer takes me for a walk!
I bought this front leading harness off advice of a friend as my 8 month old puppy had got very big and wouldn’t stop pulling on walks. This harness has a front and top hook for the lead and when I fasten the lead to the front it stops him pulling. At first it did look like he was walking a little funny as the lead restricts his front leg when he trys to pull but he soon realised that if he didn’t pull and just walked beside me it was more comfortable for him (which is obviously the idea!)
I’ve had the harness for 2 months nor and seems very sturdy and washes well so a thumbs up from me.
So far so good. A little tight to adjust on our fiddly Labrador but now he loves it and sits when take it on and off. No pull toggle for chest side leash position works and dog stays calm. Back toggle for normal leash position sturdy and you have more control while dog is walking. Most importantly I feel our dog isn’t choked by a normal neck to leash attachment. For big dogs from Labrador up its necessary.
I bought this harness for my miniature dachshund and it’s HUGE on her. Nevertheless, I have one of these harnesses already, for my Shih Tzu and this new harness is the same size, it turns out. Which is good as I can now wash his other one as he now has a spare. It gets pretty stinky from wet dog running into puddles.
It is the BEST harness for preventing pulling. That little d ring on the chest. Clip the lead on that and the pulling is stopped instantly.
I love this harness and I have only given it 4 stars because the picture does NOT reflect the size of the smallest harness available. That dog looks tiny. Clearly not….
Honestly, if you pup is a puller, this is a god send. My 5yr old Malshi pulls with alllll his strength, I attached the lead to the chest plate and it was like unlocking a whole new dog!!! Saving my shoulder and arm.
Only thing is, my dog has quite sensitive skin and after a long walk I noticed he had hot spots around the neck, legs and back (he was measured for the fit).
I will continue to use and alternate between a regular collar.
Very happy 🙂
I bought this for my 30kg Labrador that pulls on the lead. It’s very sturdy, easy to put on and seems to fit comfortably. With regards to the ‘no pull’ claim. I can see if you have a small/medium dog the harness holds well enough to feel like the dog isn’t pulling at all however if you have a big dog they can still pull. But what you do have is better control and the front lead fastener does help them to come back to you.
My 6-month old hyper, strong-willed Golden Retriever is my eigth and the most difficult to train to heel and make walks a pleasure rather than a chore. After several other combinations of harnesses and leads didn’t work, I’ve found this one does. The 2 neck straps are a bit awkward to alter, made so by the belt-type loops which keep the straps in alignment – which they do very well. The chest straps are much better. It’s easy to put on and take off, especially as my dog soon learnt to stretch her neck and head up so the harness slipped on perfectly. My vet suggested I couple the vest with a double ended long lead which I did, clipping the shorter part to the back ring and the longer one to the chest. That keeps the dog closer to heel while a sideways pull on the chest lead deters any pulling. Still hyper and ever eager to meet new people – and jump up at them half of the time – a pull on that chest lead hauls her away and makes her aware that jumping up is not a good idea. The long lead I bought (from Amazon) has several rings on it, one being about 40cm from the long end clip. Undoing the lead from the chest and clipping it onto this ring forms a loop for your hand and lets the dog have over 160cm of freedom to explore those interesting smells in the woods. Walks anywhere are now something we both look forward to!
We have a 2 year old Labrador. So far it has stopped the initial jolt, she has no problem wearing it, so I would say she finds it comfortable, she can can still pull with it but not as harshly, it makes life a lot easier.
So far she has not got out of it, which she is really good at.
Sizings can be tricky depending on the breed, we had to get a large one for her chest, but her neck is medium, and we can not seem to get the neck to the required size for her.
But all in all ,it aids for a much more pleasant walk
I have a border collie who pulls like crazy. She is off lead 80% of the time but when she is on lead we needed an easier way to hold her. The harness has a front clip which is great for stopping her pulling, it makes her turn towards you if she pulls. However the harness is very loose around the chest so pulls away from the dog when she pulls and we found that it rubbed. We stopped using the front clip because of this. We just let her pull now using the rear clip. As a rear clipped harness it is good, bright and seems fairly supportive. I won’t be buying again though as it isn’t a comfortable walk for the dog using the front.
Had to use instead of a slip lead after eye surgery for a few weeks. As it wraps around and under the chest it really helps in distributing any pressure (won’t stop your dog pulling you need to train them for that but helps when they do decide to pull to stop them from dragging you).
2 clips really help as well if you have 2 leads or a split lead.
The chest strap needs to be a few cm longer as even though it did fit the max measurements fit too snugly if your dog is right at the extreme end of the XL measurements.
My mum has a very well built, large Labrador who was getting too strong for her on the traditional rope lead. Despite practicing heel work she was at the point of giving him away as she felt she couldn’t control him and he was pulling all the time. I suggested getting a harness and the change in him has been enormous. From the moment it went on he walks to heel at all speeds (no matter how slow), he never pulls and he’s a completely different dog. She feels more in control so ventures further afield and the dog loves it so much he regularly brings it to her to suggest walks. It’s a job to take it off him as he likes wearing it! It must be comfortable as on the odd occasion he’s slept in it (back of the car)etc No rubs in several months of wear. Handle doesn’t feel amazingly strong but we’ve not needed it. Chest and back ring give plenty of options for control/leads. Great product.
The only downside I can see is the clips are made of plastic at the moment they seem sturdy enough only time will tell if regular use weakens the clasp
So on the whole I’m happy with the difference they have made and 2 of my dogs are 40kg to have them stop pulling is a delight and the dogs seem comfy and happy to wear them
We have a one year old STRONG Labrador that pulls on her lead. Like, really badly. She’s actually pulled my wife over and sprained her ankle – with another brand harness, I can’t remember which one. She’s a nightmare on walks (the dog, not my wife).
So a friend recommended this Rabitgoo harness, said her dog ‘doesn’t pull that much now since using one’. So it was worth a try.
I read quite a few reviews beforehand and was dubious about reviews that said something like ‘Walk number 3 and my dog no longer pulls’ but we ordered it anyway.
I also read that it’s got TWO separate hoops for the lead to clip onto; use the top one for dogs that walk well and use the bottom one for dogs that pull. Of course we clipped the lead onto the bottom one which is positioned just forward of the chest.
First time out with the Rabitgoo and the second she pulled, it unbalanced her slightly. Kind of onto three legs.
And THAT, my friend, was the last time that this dog pulled.
Unnnnnnbelievable.
We’ve taken her on numerous walks since. Done the school run. Had our nine year old bobbing past her back and forth in his bike. She’s not interested. Just walks by my side with the lead hanging loose.
I can only presume that anyone that’s given a 1 or 2 star review used the TOP clip. Or back to front. Or upside down. God knows, but if so: numpties.
Funnily enough, the friend that said her dog ‘doesn’t pull too much now’ was also using the top clip! When I was regaling her regarding the triumphant purchase, it turned out that she’d thought that the bottom clip was for poo bags
So there you go. Deserved review: written.
Simple but awesome design.
One last thing, we took a gamble on the size but were lucky enough to get it right: if you’ve got an adult Labrador, you need a size LARGE.
We got this harness for our Standard Poodle. She used to pull really hard against her collar. We hoped this harness would reduce the pulling or at least stop her choking when pulling really hard on my collar. I wasa bit sceptical to be honest about the harness stopping her pulling but to my suprise as soon as she wore it whether clipped to either the front or the top she has stopped pulling.
It is well designed. We chose a medium after checking the measurements on the size guide. Her chest was 28″ which is suggested as the max chest size for medium. I thouht it might have been borderline but there was an inch or two more adjustment. I guess they allow a margin for error. The adjustment was easy and she got used to putting it on very quickly associating it with going for a walk.
I can’t fault it. Great value at the price.
I did not have high expectations of this working but as so many positive reviews thought was worth a try as walking my 15 month old staffy was becoming a nightmare. She is a relentless puller and so strong my back and shoulders were suffering and walks were not a pleasant experience. All that is now a thing of the past! walks are a joy and no more pulling. We put the harness on in the house with treats and let her get used to it and then did a couple of short walks just around the garden where there are less distractions… after about ten minutes virtually no pulling! Just walked at my side. Then ventured on normal woodland walk and again no pulling. She did lunge toward another walker at one point to say hello and instead of pulling me with her as she normally would this was very controllable and it was easy to restrain her. I thought as the harness stops her going ahead of me and pulling she may not like the experience but she seems to like the harness and is so much calmer.I got the harness in orange and it is a bright lovely colour. Would highly recommend and just wish I had bought this sooner!
Love this harness, Luna also gives it paws up! Fits perfectly on or under all of her clothing, being able to adjust the top straps makes it much easier putting the harness over her thick outfits that have hoods too, coming in pink is definitely a bonus.
Not sure on using the front part of the harness with a lead, may work for dogs with longer legs but with Luna being small the lead attached there is just an annoyance for both of us, trips her up practically every step.
She has also managed to back out of previous harnesses when she is throwing a hissy fit, so far this one she has yet to master escaping.
Sent back first one and reordered in a larger size and this is amazing! I have a 7 month old chocolate Labrador who rips my arm out of the socket and as soon as I used this with the lead attached to the front clip, he walked calmly and didn’t try to pull me once. Did a 10mins walk then tried again this morning and tested him with the birds in the park that would usually have him yanking me all over the place trying to chase them when they fly about. He didn’t pull me! I clipped the lead to the back ring once he realised he couldn’t pull me and he carried on waking lovely and didn’t realise I’d switched the clip to the back. A successful 30 min walk and play without my back killing me, dislocating my shoulder and burning my wrist. Massive success!! Walking my puppy is now a joy instead of constant pain and injury – highly recommend this
Despite the fact that my puppy doesn’t like having this harness put on her (she didn’t like the previous one either), it does the job very well and she is fine once it is on. We generally attach her lead to her collar for walking, but we use the harness attachment on the back for her long lead when training and if there are lots of other dogs around so she doesn’t choke herself. We did use the attachment on the front of the harness a few times and it did seem stop her pulling when walking, but we have continued to get her good on the collar most of the time. The handle is very useful to keep her very close as and when needed, as she is getting very strong the bigger she is growing. Not sure how long it will last, but it is standing up to regular use so far.
We were struggling with our young lab pulling on the lead, we tried a figure of eight slip lead which initially we had some promising results, but eventually she went back to her old ways and she even managed to slip out of it, so on the reviews of others purchased a rabbitgoo harness, Its early days I know, but she won’t be able to slip out of this harness and straight away you could tell she was far happier wearing it, once adjusted it looked comfortable and the fact that the second time we put it on she sat quietly. So to the important bit, yes it has stopped the pulling, there is a ring under her chest which is where I think you fasten the lead to stop the dog pulling, but we used the top ring and that has had the desired effect. My wife can manage her and the dog clearly isn’t distressed as she was with the ordinary collar or slip leads. It has reflective strips fitted and is sturdy, easy to adjust, so at present its a big thumbs up.
I have a 10kg working cocker spaniel, who ‘loves’ to pull on the lead. This harness has been amazing at reducing this. While this product doesn’t stop her pulling completely, my arm is no longer being stretched to capacity and she has learnt that when her lead is placed on the front clip, it is better to walk directly by my side.
I originally purchased the medium sized harness, as in the description it has an overlap (between the small and medium) for chest and neck sizes, but i soon found that this was too big for her, as she would come running back with one leg out of the hole, like a wannabe houdini. After 2 months of rigorous testing (on her behalf) this has yet to happen with the small size.
The product is well made, with strong stitching. I have purchased an orange and yellow harness and both are great for keeping an eye on her as she darts through the undergrowth.
This product did what it said and really reduced the amount of pulling my puppy does, we’ve been using it for a few weeks now. I switch between the front and back ring, depending how much control I need. The back hook is just your general harness clip, the front clip encourages the dog to turn slightly taking the weight off the inside front leg, so they can’t bare down and pull. The fitting is nice for my labrador who is 6 months, I ordered a size L, the only downfall to this product is when you do use the front clip, the harness can slip, and might make it not suitable if you have a very persistent/reactive puller. Apart from that the harness feels good quality, durable, and easy for adjusting to size and so far zero rub marks. I’m planning on ordering a second one, would recommend.
So impressed with this product – only wish we’d known about it sooner! We have a young, wilful bulldog with a tendency to pull and lunge at exciting things such as cats and birds! While we could control this using a ‘normal’ harness, it came at the expense of various shoulder, neck, arm and back injuries, and I must admit that I was losing my confidence that I’d always be able to control him as he gets older/bigger. After a concerning episode when he actually pulled hard enough to pull the lead out of my hand, I started looking for something that might help. I came across this and I’m so pleased I did! I was hopeful it might help a bit, especially after reading all the good reviews, but the difference is really incredible. From the very first time if using (I use the chest attachment) he was so much calmer – even before the first lunge, resulting in the indignity of almost tripping himself up and just spinning in a circle instead of getting anywhere! He learnt very quickly after that and gave up on that sort of behaviour as a bad job almost instantly. The other great thing is that the harness somehow takes all the strain when he dies pull – where before my neck/ shoulder/ back would have taken it all, now I barely feel that he has pulled and a slight touch on the lead brings him straight back into line – no mean feat for such a big, powerful dog! All in all, so very pleased I bought this and would recommend to anyone experiencing similar issues with their dog.
I bought this for my 6yr old border collie who excessively pulls on his lead. I searched for a very long time for a no pull harness that would be comfortable, strong, easy to take on & off, & not too expensive in case it did not work. I had read reviews that said harnesses did not work on their dogs so I was not holding out much hope. I put it on him as soon as I got it. It was very easy to fit, and luckily he didn’t have an issue wearing it. I took him straight out for a walk with my other dog a GSD who doesn’t pull. I have a double ended lead but only clipped it to the ring on the top of the harness at first to see how he was and unbelievably he did not pull! Walking the dogs was a dream! I had tried all the training tips previously ( treats, stopping turning around etc..) in every other way he is perfect with commands except the pulling.
I bought the large size and only had to alter it a little bit for a perfect fit.
I am so glad I tried the harness and it has worked. Maybe it won’t work on your dog but for such a well made, comfortable harness at this price, it’s worth a try.
It fit well and adjusted to his size easily enough, nice little handle at the top if I need to stop and pull him to my side and also has reflective material for those night walks.
I worried a little because he doesnt like anything ‘new’ and normally jumps around trying to get it off so I attached a lead to the front and at the back for extra security.
At first I felt a bit like I was attempting to fly a massive kite with all the lead pulling but once I slackend the top one and let them bottom one do all the work, we got into our stride. It reduced probably 80% of the pull, not all of it but enough to make a walk more comfortable and I didn’t have the lead biting into my hand like it usually does.
We had a slightly longer walk than we usually would because I wasn’t being dragged down the street, I was able to enjoy my music while i walked and he trotted on seemingly happy enough. The most important thing is I didn’t spend the entire walk swearing and cursing him and I didn’t come home in bad mood.
We have an exuberant lab puppy, now 6 months old and 20 kgs, who loves going for walks and pulls relentlessly. We want to train her before it becomes a real problem, and this harness is the answer. Intially bought the medium, but that had no growing room, so swapped it for the large. We found that when we clipped a normal lead onto the front ring the harness twists round her neck, so we now use a Halti training lead that has a clip at both ends – when both ends are clipped onto the front ring with her head throught the middle I have all the control I need without the harness twisting round. A bit like long reining a horse! With plenty of training she is gradually pulling less so I imagine we will eventually be able to revert to just a neck collar. We have not used the rear plastic ring, and I would worry that it is not strong enough, hence only 4 stars.
My dog had a harness already but she was starting to out grow it and it was rubbing her hair on her chest away from where she pulls so hard.
So we decided to try a no pull harness. Personally I didn’t think that it was stop her pulling because of how strong she is, but worst case scenario she has a new comfortable harness.
It worked from the first walk! I could not believe it, I waited two weeks to write this review just incase it was a fluke or she found a loophole. She hasn’t.
We use the loop on the chest and it works by veering her off course slightly if she pulls and the lead gets in the way of where her front leg wants to be so it makes it really awkward for her if she tries to pull but not awkward for me holding the lead.
It really did work, and she can’t get out of this harness like she could her last. And the handle has been useful.
It’s winter and have already had to machine wash it because of all the mud and it was fine.
Last couple of things I think it’s worth saying is we bought this in large. We adjusted it and fits my dog.
When I purchased this I also purchased a new lead. (A large Halti lead if anyone is interested)
I don’t dread being dragged around anymore.
I have to admit to being astonished. I thought this harness looked, too light, too flimsy and I thought the attachment for the harness would come off as soon as my large Labrador pulled – but I was wrong. I tried it for the first time today and none of this applied. Now, I can’t say hand on heart that he did not pull at all, BUT I would say that 95% of our walk was completely no-pull, and very enjoyable compared with lead and collar walking. It was actually a pleasure to walk him today and have him nicely by my side, instead of feeling like I am on water skis. The only minus is that I found it a bit fiddly to get the perfect adjustment of the straps – but maybe that is down to me – and whatever, it was 100% worth the effort. Highly recommended.
We had the harness for about 4 months now.
So far it’s proven to be sturdy and comfortable on the dog.
It’s adjustable so it will grow with your dog, if your dog is young and hasn’t quite reached full size.
We have the medium large harness and it is used on a 9 month cockapoo who is nearing full size. It fits perfectly around the neck and chest.
The plastic clasps appear well made and should be able to be used by a variety of hands- young to old.
As advertised it has two rings to clip your lead, one to the front of the chest and one in the more traditional place on the upper back.
I have used the front ring a few times to see if it stops her pulling, it does, but we haven’t had to use it very often, as she’s not a dog who tends to pull very often.
There’s nothing reflective about the harness, so bear in mind for those darker mornings and evenings.
Very good harness, definitely recommended. I got a blue and a red one for my two pups, and their padding is very good, and the front ring does indeed help with their pulling! Both the front and the back ring are of metal. They look very sturdy in overall but I’ve only had them for a week so cannot properly say much about duration. However, I would think they’ll last long.
Just note that the size chart in the product description is smaller that the actual size so if you’re between sizes, go for the smaller size. I’ve included a picture of the size chart that comes with the harnesses. Mine are on the smallest adjustment of the M size and the fit is OK, might have been better with the S but the M is not too loose on my dogs so I decided to keep them.
Had this a few weeks now and it seems to be a comfortable fit. Bit tight getting it over my dogs head so I added another buckle on the neck strap so much much easier to put on now. Used the front attachment yesterday for the first time and OH MY GOD it actually stopped my 1 year old Pointer pulling instantly , no exaggeration. Having tried just about everything – treats for not pulling, tugs and telling off for pulling, stop and start method, changing directions method – Finally a solution!! I thought it might pull my dog in towards me as I walked but it doesn’t. It seems to take the driving force out of one leg when the dog pulls, the more he pulls the more his leg is ‘lifted’, so it doesn’t hurt him, just makes it awkward for him to walk and pull at the same time. I guess different things work for different dogs but I am so happy this worked for mine. Life changer.
This is a very good harness to reduce, not stop dogs from pulling on the lead. Yes, it does greatly reduce the pulling, however, it does not eliminate it. I use it on for my German Shepherd who is nervous and pulls a lot. It is relatively easy to fit and adjust to size. However, to get the full benefit of this harness, you will need a lead that has two clasps on it. One to attach to the top, between the dogs shoulders and the other attaches to the front located on the dogs chest. The front one is the most important one as this is where, as far as I can tell, the majority of the control comes from.
My dog is used to wearing a harness and in use, I find it much easier to control her form pulling and lunging. This is possibly one the better harnesses I have used and is much better that’s an over the nose lead.
If you have a dog that pulls, this harness will help you to enjoy walking your dog again.
I was browsing smaller dogs on the internet when an advert came up for this harness. I did some research and found good reviews particularly when using the front chest clip
It arrived in just a couple of days and I walked my lab around the garden to try it out. I was very impressed but given nothing had worked even the recommended specialist help of 1 dog psychologist and 2 trainers, I was sceptical and I wasn’t permitted to walk him alone any more
Day 5 and I’m just back from a lovely long casual walk where he pulled slightly on one occasion to get to a puddle. I honestly am overwhelmed. I rarely write reviews but am really hoping that anyone struggling with a big dog pulling will try this. Truly life changing for both of us
I have wrestled with various devices – and the dog – while my now-19 months old lurcher has been with me. He is increasingly strong, and determined to pull on the lead if there is somewhere he wants to be, as well as going off on a barking and tugging spree when he meets dogs he doesn’t know. I have tried “gen con” and “figure of eight” leads as well as the normal collar-and-lead arrangements, and something which is probably unavailable now and which I called “the little string vest” – essentially a thin cord “harness”. I have been to two different dog-training courses. None of these stopped him yanking and pulling, and crashing against my leg, to the point where I could hardly walk because of the damage to my knee.
Now, although he still pulls occasionally, and still wants to bark, yowl and charge at any new dog he meets, I can control him fairly easily. He sort-of twirls around at the harness end of the lead, rather than pulling me almost off my feet, and I’m hoping that he will in time learn that there is no point to these activities. Ah, hope … !
My only reservation about the harness is that it seems to be rubbing his “underarms” and chest somewhat, and because he has such a narrow neck and such a deep chest it is difficult to get the adjustment correct. If I tighten the neck straps any more, I won’t be able to get the harness over his head! Still – a small inconvenience in return for a great improvement on our walks.
Ordered for 3 month old Golden Retriever (small). Looks lovely on and she seems to like it. Haven’t used the front hook for pulling yet but the hook on the back seems to help with her pulling. Only gripe is that it’s a bit fiddly to get on/off as the front straps need to be altered every time for removal and putting on which can seem tedious with a young puppy that likes playing and puppy biting especially if doing it single handed otherwise I get someone to give her treats whilst I fiddle around with it, hoping it will slacken off a bit after repeated use or she will just get used to me messing around with it when altering.
We have a very lively 16 week spaniel who is trained to do most things okay, except we have not been able to get her to walk on a loose lead. I have always had dogs so have some experience with training them. We have watched every video online, taken her to classes, diligently done everything suggested without any improvement. Her first harness was getting too small so I read all the reviews on this rabbitgoo harness and decided to give it a go. At first I used her normal lead and used the front clip. She sort of hobbled and jumped and I wasn’t that impressed or hopeful. However the next time we used it she was a bit better. As the clip for the lead was knocking her leg I swapped the lead for a retractable lead with a small clip to attach to her harness. This was a big improvement. Now a week on she walks a good 8 out of 10. I don’t mind that she doesn’t walk perfectly to heel or occasionally stops. Its her walk after all , but she is under control and doesn’t pull or run in front of me or drag behind. If I want her to have a bit more freedom then I use the top attachment. It worked for us. How I am not quite as it didn’t seem that much different to the first harness. If you are reading this you probably have a similar problem to the one we had. I hope it works for you too.
It fits well in most areas but is a bit big in the chest – presumably intended for adult dogs whose chests have dropped a bit more! This means the front ring hangs down a bit low so we haven’t been able to attach her lead to it as it gets tangled in her feet.
Other than that it fits well and we have been using the back fastening with no issues. She seems comfortable in it and has no issues with it going on.
When she is a bit bigger we will use the front clip to address any pulling – the main reason we chose this harness!
She has not managed to slip out of it (which she did with a more minimalistic harness) which is reassuring.
We have only hand washed it but it washed well and still looks good as new.
Very impressed and have recommended it to friends.
Her previous harness never fitted her right, but this one is perfect as every part of it can be adjusted.
We’ve been using it for over a week and it sits great on her while walking, and getting her into it is really easy as it just slips over her head.
The handle on the back is great for control when bikes or joggers are passing, and the reflective strips don’t look out of place in the daylight, but they glow really brightly in darker places, making her extremely visible to traffic.
As we’ve only been using this for a limited amount of time, I can’t really comment on durability, but it feels strong and well built, and I can’t see anything that would break without extensive wear and tear.
(Apologies for the bad photos, she doesn’t like to sit still XD )
This is Bandit’s 3rd harness, the previous 2 were a back clip only and he dislocated my shoulder with by his pulling stength and had me flat on my face a few times.
This video is the first time we have used this harness and are using the chest clip. Look at how nicely he is walking. This is the nicest walk we have been on and I can now finally enjoy taking him out and not worrying about mine or his safety. Will deffo recommend this product, has probably saved mine and his life.
As a bonus, I think it looks quite cool on our Reggie 🙂 One thing I do wonder about is how breathable it is for him on hot days, but we’ve been for some 3-4 hour hikes and he’s not seemed bothered by it at all. I’m definitely pleased with this harness and Reggie seems pleased with it too!
Ordered the pink one and it’s amazing.. Easy to adjust and area to tuck ends in so no trailing ends.. Tried using it from the front and she can get herself out of the harness so put lead on her back.. A complete change in her hardly pulls although still does at start of her walk but nothing to affect her.. She comfy and happy and now getting longer walks.. Only down side it doesn’t come small enough for a chihuahua.
She doesnt pull so not uses front loop, love handle to keep her steady when clipping on, colour is nice and she has no issues wearing whilst asleep when she gone before we removed! Havent washed yet but mud just baby wiped off. All round brilliant purchase. Thanks
The clips are plastic but very sturdy.
Alas our Mishty is no more and has travelled along the rainbow bridge. We have kept her harness as a memento of here since she loved it. Thank you, rabbitgoo for a product our Mishty truly loved. Rest in peace my adorable sweetheart, you are forever in our memories.
It’s well made and has loop connector on the chest and on the back. I do have it adjusted to nearly its maximum around the neck because her head is so big, and about 3/4 of the way around the body. I read the reviews before buying, which advise to get the bigger size if your in between. She definitely wouldn’t have fitted in a medium.
I’m not sure why it’s sold as a non pull harness because this would definitely aid in her pulling if she decided to go after a squirrel. Luckily she walks nicely 95% of the time and I didn’t buy it for that reason.
I’ve had great success with a front ring harness with my older dog who was still a mad puller at 6. I selected this brand over hers as it seemed sturdier.
Sadly it’s a disaster! The front ring is fitted too low. It means his lead gets in the way of his legs and, even on a short lead, he gets tangled in it. It actually interferes with his walking.
I can’t return it because the packaging just went west with the bin men. I shall try it later when he fills out a little, hopefully moving the ring up and away from his legs I bought a medium, which he’s at the lower range of, so hopefully we’ll get some use out of it before it’s too small.
Really easy to use, well made and comfortable
My French Bulldog loves it!
I wasn’t disappointed I can now walk my dog without him dragging me down the street!
It’s like walking a different dog
Having tried several harnesses this one has met all my expectations and finally I have a dog who trots happily by my side instead of thinking she is a husky. I use a double ended training lead with this, one clip attached to the front, the other to the back. It took a little while but this harness allows me to gently remind her that I want her by me rather than in front by gently pulling on the front to persuade her to slow up. I love the fact that it has reflective strips. I found the harness easy to adjust around the neck and groin area. I have a Sprocker spaniel with big ears which means that getting anything that goes over the head is usually difficult to take off over the ears but I managed to adjust this so it isn’t such a struggle. My pup is 7 months old and the small size has plenty of room for growth. The harness is sturdy and well made with padding under the Y shaped front so it doesn’t put any pressure on the shoulders or dig in even when she does pull. I also like the “handle” on the back which I use to help lift her in and out of the car and to restrain when she gets a bit excited.
Whilst our little lad is generally very well behaved once we turn on a walk to head home or he figures out we are on our way back to the car he becomes a right terror. He will pull so hard that he quite literally ends up often walking on his hind legs. A horrible experience for him and whoever he is walking with.
It once took us nearly our hour to walk 300 meters back home as we would stop everytime he pulled only for him to EE start as soon as we thought he had gotten the message.
After seeing this product mentioned on a forum we thought we would give it a go.
Ordered with Prime the harness arrived the following day and after a bit of working out the straps and resizing it was off for our first walk.
Intially leaving home our lad was attached by the rear lead point. Even then a change was noticeable in his behaviour.
Turning back and again he went into tugboat mode. A quick stop to switch over the chest ring ad hey presto we had a puppy who suddenly found trying to pull just pulled him around in a circle. Confused he just sat down and looked up and me and the wife as to say “what have you done?”
Having now used the harness over several weeks we hardly now use the front point. If he’s having a bad day a few minutes on the front link and all is sorted. Only thing I ave noticed that the harness does twist on him a little if he should try to pull against the front point, but it’s not a major issue as he soon gives up against it anyway.
Both my wife and I think that the size and fit of the harness makes our puppy feel more secure.
Would be recommend? Yes. A friend of ours had two dogs from the same litter as our and they both now have no pull harnesses.
The improvement, coupled with being a totally humane way to dissuade pulling, makes every penny spent on this worth it.
Been using this at least a month now daily so can review it accurately. At first it seems great, it fits well, lots of room for running without chaffing or compromising the shoulder actions. Though it does move on the body while in use if the dog is reactive on the lead.
As for controlling pulling, initially the turning instead of pulling really resolves the issue but then dog learns to leap on 3 legs sideways with one of its front legs being pulled back by the harness… Potential to cause an injury to that shoulder or leg so have to revert to usual back loop.
Washing it daily after muddy walks is a pain, I can rinse it, wash my dog then rinse it for half an hour or more and still mud is coming out of it every squeeze, it holds lots of mud! particles get into the fabric air holes & fitting adjustments.. It maybe very comfortable but surely there’s a better mud repellent fabric it could be made from. It dries fairly easily but never rinses clear have to pat it dry with a towel and the towel is dirty after. Easier to wash the dog than wash the harness
The harness seems strong and sturdy, but both the straps and the padded parts all feel softer than I expected – more comfortable for such a small dog. The plastic clip buckles are not as flimsy as some I’ve seen. The straps are not easy to alter – but in the other hand, neither do they slip when in use, like others I’ve had.
The small size is perfect for Jack, who has an 18″ chest, but wants to wear this over his winter coat. Plenty of leeway to tighten it for summer use; and it would certainly expand to fit a much larger dog, too. I like the addition of several elastic sections behind the straps, which reduce sudden shock if the dog jerks. (The elastic will no doubt wear out over time, but the fabric straps appear to continue behind the elastic, so the harness will still be useable.)
The first time we used it, Jack was lagging behind on a four foot long leash, unsure as to whether his legs would work when wearing a coat AND a harness. Suddenly, The Enemy sauntered past the end of the street. Jack surged forward, building momentum over the eight foot distance available to him, confident that he would leap around on the end of his leash looking fierce, but without any danger of getting within reach of his foe. As he reached the end of his leash, which was attached to the front ring, he turned a quick somersault, landing flat in his back. The Enemy viewed Jack’s soft undercarriage speculatively; the other owner and I, a neighbour, and a passing pedestrian, all looked on I astonishment, then started to laugh. Jack righted himself, gathered what was left of his dignity, and set off in the other direction. He’s never pulled since. More than a week of perfect manners! I have various medical problems, and this harness has made SUCH a difference to our walks – I no longer dread taking Jack out! I would never have used the harness in such a violent way myself – but since he did it to himself …
Not every aid works for every dog – but for us, this harness has been one if the best investments I’ve made, and I would certainly recommend trying it if you have a committed “puller”.
Slight concerns about the fit initially, as I have a cockapoo, so measuring instructions for a mix of dog with poodle was a little confusing as he has quite a pronounced chest, and I was worried his neck girth would result in the harness being too big. I went for the medium and would have liked the neck area a little bit tighter, can’t manage to adjust to where I think it should be. When he has been groomed it feels more roomier, was tempted to order a small one, but think it might be too tight, not sure.
However having said all that my dog seems to really love this, it does control him more than a conventional lead, (like most Cockapoo’s he is a puller) and I have purchased so many other types of leads/harness but I feel more confident and am enjoying my walks with him a lot more all thanks to this Rabitgoo Harness.
I bought it again because the quality is excellent. I really like the bright orange colour as we can spot her in the undergrowth for a good distance away. She loves wearing it and it doesn’t impede her running around in anyway. I also like the loops at the front and back to easily allow you to hold the dog while you attach a lead. Lastly, it is easy to put on and off as the clips are on the topside behind the front shoulders. Its been through the wash multiple times now and is still going strong.
Price, Quality, Delivery, love the amount of extra length on the fastening straps to fit to whatever fits your pets need, jip is very comfy in it, so when he’s happy i am happy too, this will be the only harness i purchase in the future. Many thanks.
