Very easy to install in the PS5, speeds as advertised, added heat spreader seems to do the job.

Product fit straight in PS5 with zero issues. Exceeded the 5500mb/s speed test. Think the console said it was 5900mb/s. Have been running games off it for months now. Works perfect and just as good as internal storage.
Bought this SSD because after some research it out performs Samsungs SSDs at a lower price, although WD have better SSDs, at this price The Blade is the go to PS5 SSD in my opinion.
Heatsink can be a bit fussy for first time installers would recommend using a youtube guide. Performance is amazing and having double capacity has been Incredible.

Bought to extend the internal storage of a PS5, this ADATA SSD is ideal. Installation is easy and the separate low-profile heatsink fits in the PS5’s SSD bay. Performance is on a par with what comes with the PS5. Prices do fluctuate quite a bit though, so check around before buying.
I bought the ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 2TB SSD for my PS5 as a black friday purchase a few months ago. As every PS5 owner knows, the storage quickly runs out before you know it. For this reason, I kept my eye out for a compatible SSD for a while.
Thankfully this SSD was easy to install and works like a charm. It’s also worth mentioning that this SSD comes with a heat sink. Now storage issues for games are a thing of the past!
Veryeasy to install but dont try and do it until you have set up your PS5 and installed the latest software updates or it wont be recognised.
I had been searching for a while for a SSD upgrade for my PS5. I settled on this one because it was one of the fastest and I managed to get it on a great deal. It is a very easy install even for someone with very little knowledge about this sort of thing. I didn’t bother using the included heatsink but instead went for the Sabrent PS5 heatsink which had great reviews and was very easy to install.
This product was an absolute steal on Black Friday but seems to be competitively priced most of the time.
Easy to install into the PS5 and more than doubles the paltry internal storage. No problems whatsoever with saving and playing games from here.

Arrived the next day. Installation is soooooooo easy my 15 year son did it in about 5 minutes. One tip though make sure the heatsink is fitted on the side without the label ( there’s no instructions and there hard to find on the web so this should save you time) on top of the chip set. PS5 formatting is a doddle with read speed @6143mbs very close to maximum but we’ll quicker that the minimum 5000mbs needed. So all in all the best value for money I can thoroughly recommend don’t look any further buy it.

Took around 5 mins to strip down, install and rebuild the ps5. The (tiny) drive was easy to fit and sat in snuggly.
The supplied blade heat shield was straight forward to add on, with no confusion over the direction or placement of the sticky pad, which felt secure, covering the main controller and memory chips
Booted up and the quick test was showing read speeds over 6 200 mbs. Which is pretty much around the current ps5 internal limit. As far as I understand

I’ll be honest, when I first installed this SSD, I wasn’t happy, as my PS 5 stated that it wasn’t compatible. I was quite surprised because it was marketed as being PS5 compatible and my PS5 firmware was all up to date. I did my research and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working, though when I went to customer service page it started working….. So how did I get it to work? The TV that I run my PS5 on is the LGNano88 model and it’s plugged into the HDMI 2.1 port. When I switch over to this port, it turns the PS5 on Automatically and the SSD seems to disagree with the console. However for some reason, if I turn on the PS5 control pad as the PS5 is starting up, everything works perfectly. If it wasn’t for this, I would have given it a 5/5. Other than that, it hasn’t really given my any trouble.
Memory is perfect for the PS5 . And when purchased I had a discount code come up so I paid less than 130.00 so to me a bargain but I would advise the purchase of another heating. Not sure if the flat plate supplied will keep it cool enough

This was very easy to install as with all NVME drives but the overall performance was also on par and games are loading as expected. For the price (discounted) it was a very nice deal for an additional 2TB of game storage space for my PS5, highly recommended. I would also recommend a separate heat sink if you didnt get one. I ordered this separately.
I usually delete the games I’m done with but this caught my eye during Black Friday sales. Annoyingly the price going up and down every few hours.

This was a cinch to install and has worked brilliantly so far under heavy load with some streaming intensive games. I still have concerns over the heatsink or rather heat spreader as it is simply a very thin strip of aluminium. If I hadn’t already installed it I would choose a third party cooling option like the Sabrent which has excellent reviews. Having said all that I haven’t experienced any overheating/thermal throttling issues.

This is great for a ps5 upgrade can store about 10-15 extra games now so about a total of 20 games. Who really needs more than that, great buy and no fault as of yet a month in after install 🙂

Games play perfectly from The Blade, it’s not something I use it for much, but I have tried it out on Witcher 3 and Star Wars Jedi Fallen order and it’s just as fast, if not faster than the internal SSD.

I don’t know if the price is worth it for how much I use it, but I wasn’t bothered, I just wanted more storage for the quality of life improvements it gives the console. No more redownloading games!!!
One thing I will note, when I play games on the ps5 internal SSD the ps5 seems to get hot. The times I’ve played via the gammix blade storage it does not seem to get anyway near as hot, but who knows what crazy voodoo that is down to. Maybe the way the fan is designed for air movement around the top of the console (Vertical stand) it cools the added storage better than its own internal SSD as the added storage is installed right by the massive air intake corner.
P.S heatsink is installed but not on the pictures I took. Don’t know how effective it really is, ask someone who is better with tech than I.

So if you need more memory for an ever expanding digital catalogue because Sony tricked you into going digital by selling out of Disc Edition Consoles over and over again, and you hate deleting and redownloading games, then this is perfect.
If you want to play for 8 hours non stop from your added SSD storage, maybe do a bit more research just in case. But I’m sure it’d be fine. Just don’t forget to hydrate

There was a 35% discount when I bought this so works out to be 115 for the 1TB ssd which is a bargain. Plus it has its own heatsink!
I’m sure it will eventually get cheaper as they become more common but this works perfectly for the PS5! Watch the official playstation guide on YouTube. Literally takes 5 minutes to install. When you boot up it formats automatically and away you go.
I’ve moved all my games to the new drive which consists of digital and disc games. All works perfectly with no delay or difference to the PS5’s own hard drive. Recommended!

OK after 3 attempts I finally receive this ssd, the first 2 orders received an empty box where the ssds were stolen before packing and Amazon was great to send me replacement and refund.
Very easy to install in the PS5 and when switch on the first time the PS5 recognised it and ask to format. After format I got 2.03 Tb of disk space. Highly recommended!
The moment I saw the dropping to below 125 I knew I had to plunge. I am so glad I did! Don’t be shocked when you see a tiny box it comes in there’s a lot of value with this SSD. With the free heatsink and how simple it is to install into the PS5 I was up and running in 15 minutes. Worked straight away on the PS5 once it formatted it. Usable storage is the full 1TB. This SSD will work perfectly on PS5 and mine was instantly recognised by the console which is always a bonus.
My only downside with it was the heatsink, if you plan on putting this in a ps5 you will want to buy an additional heat sink to help it sit properly in the expansion slot.
(Do not stack the heat sinks together if you do buy an aftermarket one)
Other than that, no complaints on my end!
Haven’t had it for long but was easy to install, comes with a okay Hest sink but I did decide to use a better one and for the price after discount, around 273, was well worth it! Read speeds vary but getting around 6150 and 6200 Mbps. I am getting a higher speeds than what is quoted.
Time will tell if quality is good or not.
I bought this drive for my PS5 after seeing reviews and it been at a cheaper price. The hard drive is really easy to install into the PS5 and get going with it within minutes. Once in the PS5 it’s super quick and a god send for more storage space.
The only issue I have with this hard drive is adding the heatsink as there is no instructions on how to put this on so I winged it but this is the only negative.

Great speed and capacity for a price not currently beaten. Do study how to update the firmware first (though it made little difference to PS5 speeds, so don’t fret about it). It’s great to have 2.5Gb available for games- just set the SSD to default for all your PS4/5 installs.

Purchased the 2TB version for my PS5. Very easy to install and it comes with a heatsink – recommended by Sony if using on the PS5 so you’re ready to go. Your PS5 will format this on the first use, mine displayed a read speed of approx 6300 which is above the recommend 5500 by Sony therefore it’s more than fast enough.

This arrived on time & was delivered with the courier needing a security code before handing it over. Great security for an expensive item. It was a bit tricky to remove the top of the PS5 to install, but YouTube videos helped with that. Once open, it was very easy to install & loaded very quickly. The speed of moving games to this storage was quick & exactly as described.

Works great in PS5, easy to install though attaching of the heatsink made me little uneasy, it’s a very small module, I was afraid of breaking it. For 5* I’d like it to be already attached.
Capacity reported by PS5: 1 TB, read speed 6241.493 MB/s. Moved games to it and they work great, can’t tell the difference from build-in storage.

The heatsink is a very basic flat piece of aluminium which you stick to the top of the SSD. It does not come pre-attached and will likely not be reusable should you ever need to remove it. You can’t get a heatsink thinner than this but it’s also not a very effective solution so would recommend seeking out a 3rd party heatsink.
The form factor does lend itself to being used in a PS5 well, especially with the thin heatsink however this speed is overkill for the PS5’s needs and you can easily get away with a cheaper 1st gen PCIe 4 NVMe for PS5
So far very impressed as PS5 expansion drive, as fast or faster than internal drive speed. Adding this to your PS5 really feels like you have x3 more space not x2 as of course the ‘usable’ space on the PS5 is actually a lot lower than the quoted 850GB – this makes it SO much better.

Then restart the ps5 and you are promoted to format the new ssd. That’s it basically 2 TB more space. Well worth it. I moved 3 games from the main ps5 hard drive to the new ssd. Very quick to transfer over. Spider-Man miles MORALES/ASSASSINS CREED VALHALLA/ BLACK OPS COLD WAR. Over 300MB game size. Took a few minutes to transfer over. From playing the games from the new ssd I feel it may even be a bit quicker that the main ps5 SSD. I would make the purchase and not sit on the fence. I have a feeling that once there stock has gone. It will probably like getting a ps5 very hard.

This ssd comes with a one sided heatsink, there a warranty sticker at the bottom of the drive. No paper is included in the box, instructions on how to sign up for the warranty is via scaning the qr code on the back of the box.
On innial boot, my ps5 reads the 1TB drive to have 6299.333MB/s. (with this item own ssd heatsink installed)
When moving data from the ps5 ssd to the m.2 ssd, you could be waiting from 1min to 10mins per a game depending on the file size.
As for game loading, it seems to have a similar speed as the ps5 ssd.
