Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have been a Dyson but the last one I bought was a disappointment.
I saw this on amazon and decided this was what I needed. It beats the other brand in all aspects.
The look is very nice and doesn’t look out of place in a corner.
The action is great. It has a light along the head and the suction tas two levels. The middle comes out to use on worktops, stairs in you car etc and it’s so east to empty the small dust collection pod so it’s no issue that it doesn’t have a huge dust box to fill the bin and go everywhere.
My review is not laid out in pretty words but it’s genuine and I promise you’ll love this addition to your cleaning regime x Jan x

This is the second AEG vacuum cleaner I’ve owned and they are quickly becoming my number one. It is quite lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Suction is excellent with two power settings at the touch of a button situated under the power button. I actually prefer this to my Gtech as it is less bulky and the swivel action head lets you get into hard to reach areas such as under chairs. It also has a built in handheld unit (unlike the Gtech which has to be bought separately).

There are a couple of issues. First, it is not cheap but you get what you pay for and it is much more effective than cheaper brands. Secondly the dust container is quite small so needs to be emptied regularly. A small price to pay for the lightweight ergonomic design though.

This seems like a lot to pay for a hoover but I feel it’s worth the money. It’s flexible and easy to maneuver and picks up well from both the floor and the carpet. It holds charge well, is easy to empty and has useful lights which make it easy to see what you’re doing when you’re hoovering underneath furniture.

It’s a little heavier than I had expected and it holds a small amount of dust (although easy to empty) but these are the only down sides.

The AEG QX9 vacuum is so quick and easy to use. It locates effortlessly in the charging stand to be used immediately, then replaced. It is very light to carry up and down stairs. It steers easily, and the light helps to see into dark areas. It is incredibly quiet. I wish I’d had this when I lived in a flat; I could have used it without having to consider the neighbours. The suction is good, and although this could be the only vacuum in a small house, I use his for a daily spot clean and a larger vacuum with a greater range of attachments for a deep clean. I have a long-haired cat, and although the AEG picks up well, fur still wraps around the brush. There is a brush cleaner for removing hairs, but my cat’s fur is a challenge for most vacuums. The fur often wraps around the filter without going into the collection chamber too. I haven’t found any vacuum that can contend fully with the fur situation. It isn’t an issue, though.
The middle section lifts out with little force on the magnetic clip. The running time is good. I use it for about 20 minutes each day, leaving plenty of charge.

I am impressed with the design and functionality. It feels expensive and (I didn’t think I’d ever say this) it’s a joy to use. I’d recommend this to anyone, particularly those without overly fluffy cats!

I have an earlier version of AEG stick vacuum and can make a few comparisons.

The actual vacuum head seems unchanged apart from being slightly simplified to make removing the roller easier.

Putting it into the charging dock is MUCH simpler because there are now magnetic guides that help with this. My old one had to be “slotted” into place and this could be hit and miss, particularly as I was doing it blind half the time because of where we hide the vacuum cleaner to charge.

The dust container is also much simpler to empty now. The old one was more convoluted inside and had a springy plunger to dislodge dust, but now it’s far more simply profiled internally and there is a removable filter.

All in all this is quite an improvement and AEG have clearly put a bit of thought into it.

The one thing I don’t like is that instead of two power settings there are now three – what? Complaining about having more options. Well with the old cleaner it started at full power and could be toggled to the lower power. I’m guessing 99% of people don’t use the lower power settings. Now it starts at a lower power, and I still end up cycling through all the settings making sure I get the “loudest” one.

That last point aside, a very worthy upgrade for my old AEG cordless vacuum.

I am so impressed with this vacuum cleaner!

What comes in the box? Well, what you get is a rather niftily designed rechargeable vacuum that comprises the cleaner itself, a full sized frame to fit it in (more on this in a bit), a charging stand, and two accessories (a clip on nozzle and a little brush attachment).

Fit the cleaner into the frame and you have a traditional hoover combination, which is lightweight, brilliantly manoeuvrable, and surprisingly powerful. It has 2 power settings, high and low – the low setting is perfectly adequate, but you can boost this to high for extra suction when needed. It works well on both carpet and hard floors, and is really easy to fit under furniture because of its compact design, and even works on stairs. I particularly like the lights at the front that make it easy to see where you are cleaning.

What makes this so good is that you can also use this as a handheld vacuum cleaner too, by simply removing the cleaning unit from the frame! It has one power setting in this mode, which seems to be the higher setting. You can use the nozzle and brush attachment, when using the cleaner like this.

A battery indicator on the cleaning unit shows how much charge it holds – one, two or three lights, three being full power. A full charge lasts about half an hour, but it recharges quite quickly.

The vacuum cleaner sits nicely in its charging cradle in full sized mode and you can keep the cradle plugged in permanently, just removing the cleaner when you want to use it and then popping it back when you are done.

This is a beautifully designed and looks sleak and hi tech. Obviously it is not as powerful as something like a Dyson, and doesn’t clean so well at the edges – the dust collection tank is also rather compact so you do have to empty it frequently, but it is very easy to empty so this is not a problem – but it is a great little product and a real bonus for quick and easy cleaning!

Every hoover that I have ever had has been connected to a mains, meaning you are restricted. So I was very excited to finally try a cordless vacuum – and for the most part, I love it.

First of all, it really is tiny. It’s compact, thin and will fit in a small corner away from everything. This is great as normally, hoovers are very bulky and look ridiculous. This one is sleek and almost futuristic.

It is lightweight and ridiculously easy to manoeuvre about the house, it turns easily and makes hoovering a lot easier. The suction is great for such a small machine. The hand hoover is also great, making this hoover 2 in 1 and even more accessible.

You only get a couple of accessories which I was slightly disappointed in for the price as you often get an array of extras.

Charging it is really easy, simply plug the charging base into a socket and place the hoover on it. It takes a while to charge. The only negative I have is that it doesn’t hoover our whole house and doesn’t pick up all the dog hair that embeds itself in the carpet.

Otherwise, this is a great little hoover – but for large houses I would recommend sticking to a mains charged hoover!

    This is very good.
It’s easy to pop together … and easy to remove the hoover section in the middle to use it as a handheld….
It’s very manoeuvrable and light enough to carry.
The lights on the front are useful as you can see where you are going.
The charger stand is also very good as it DOES NOT need to be attached to a wall…THIS IS GREAT.
    It also looks good.
    Pros
    Light to carry
Good handheld section for use in cars etc
    Good movement
    Great light
    Good suction
Stand doesn’t need to be attached to anything

This cordless vacuum requires some assembly straight out of the box. The instructions on assembly leave a little to be desired, as is the case with most things these days. It took me around 10 minutes to fathom it out mainly due to the cable routing around the charging base.

In use, it is reasonably powerful for a cordless. I do have another cordless which does have more suction than this, but this AEG is much quieter in use so it is a little play off between the two. The collection bin isn’t very large and I have found that it fills after a general tidy up hoovering in the living room. It is easy to empty though but to do the whole house with it can be a little time consuming due to constantly emptying the bin.

The hand held unit detaches and re attaches very easily to the main frame. It clicks positively into place and stays solid.

The filter is washable which is very handy and cheaper than buying replacements.

Another nice feature are the 7 spotlights on the floor attachment. This is of particular use when hoovering under the settee and armchairs.

Charging and charge level is indicated by 3 bright lights on the main body.

Overall I am quite please with this. Once again AEG don’t disappoint in their quality products.

This vacuum is quite light and easy to push around. The the suction is okay for hard wood floors, seems to suck up most of the dog hairs, however for rugs and thick pile carpets it does take putting it on full power to take the hairs away, thus you don’t get much time out of it.

There are 3 power settings, where you get either 15mins full power, 25-30 at medium and 45-55 at low. Its pretty good on medium if you’re quick enough running around the house with it!

There’s an on/off button right on the handle at the top, sometimes if lifting it it’s easy to accidentally press it but it’s good placement otherwise. The power button is under it. The handheld unit is easy to remove and the attachment it came with is easy to fit, the vacuum slides easily into the charging doc and can be left upright against the wall.

Emptying the vacuum is a little awkward but once you have the know how it gets a little faster. This product is a little more expensive than most but for a lightweight runaround it does a good job.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReview for AEG QX9 QX9-1-40GG, Cordless Vacuum, Iron Grey, 0.3 liters, 76 Decibeles.

First impressions are a very sleek stylish modern looking vacuum cleaner which looks unique to anything else. The vacuum is cordless lightweight (weighing 2.7kg) so effortless manoeuvring around, coupled with the 180 manoeuvrability allows you to glide around furniture and fittings. The vacuum is designed to seamlessly move from carpets to hard floor without any change. The multiple front floor level LED head lights are great for spotting dust / dirt easily even under furniture.

The downsides are the 0.3 litre dust bucket but its a trade off for lightness and manoeuvrability. Powered by a lithium battery can provide around 30-40 minutes of cleaning. Accessories include a crevice nozzle, dusting brush and easy to clean filter. Overall I think AEG are a better purchase than Dyson, this really is a powerful cordless, lightweight and manoeuvrable vacuum.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis vac arrived in a few bits, but was quick & easy to assemble. The instruction are minimal and quite small but the pictures were easy to follow. It comes with it’s own charging cradle which sits on the floor and you park the vac into the cradle, it took just under four hours to fully charge. With three power settings I found that the lowest was good for the wooden floors but preferred a higher setting for carpets. Pick-up was very good at least on par with my big plug in vac & the ‘dust light’ was useful in the darker corners, although it didn’t get right up to the edges of the cupboards, you’ll need to use the nozzle for that. The vac itself was light and easy to move around and very well balanced to hold. I particularly liked the that it can stand up on it’s own if you need to move things around & that it’s not top heavy as so many other cordless vacs are (I have RA and find the vacs with motors at the top too heavy for my wrists to use for more than a few minutes). It’s also really quite to use even at it’s highest setting.

The hand held portion is easily removed and replaced within the frame and comes supplied with small nozzle & brush attachment which store on the back of it, I found this also well balanced to use. The container for the dust is small, but easily removed to empty, I cleaned my living room & kitchen and still had room for more so small as it is it should be fine for every day use.

Overall I’m really impressed with the cleaning ability of this little machine although like it’s competitors it is quite expensive.

We had the predecessor to this model as a more manoeuvrable, lightweight vacuum cleaner when it didn’t make sense to break out the Dyson. We have a long-haired cat that sheds a lot, so whilst the AEG didn’t pick up everything, it was enough for a quick whip round the house.

This model isn’t just a replacement for the previous model — it comes close to challenging the Dyson. Everything about it screams class, for one thing; it feels solid without being too weighty, and pretty much everything, from the inner vacuum housing, to the charger, uses magnetic clips to hold things in place neatly.

It’s got three suction levels, the third of which is definitely enough to clean animal hair from an old thick-pile carpet. I first tested the unit to hoover a rug, and ended up doing the landing as well because I was so impressed! It’s still manoeuvrable, lightweight, and still has LED lights on the front, which is a really handy feature.
Emptying the chamber is a slight faff, but I don’t really see any other way they could have done it — the main unit is removable from the housing if you want to clean nooks and crannies, and the inner chamber sits within that. It means that if you’re using the whole thing, you have to unclip two different things to empty it, but it’s hardly the worst thing that could happen.

It’s much quieter than a regular vacuum and so far the battery life seems great. The charging assembly is still very nice — you just slot the hoover in and it stands there, charging. All in all, quite pricey, but absolutely top notch.

This vacuum is so light and easy to push around, the suction is by far the best I have used from a cordless vacuum, the on/off button is right on the handle and easy to press the power button is directly under it and there is 3 power modes, the battery display is easy to see and we got around 45 minutes out of the full charge, the handheld unit is easy to remove and the attachments are easy to fit, the vacuum slides easily into the charging doc and can be left upright against the wall, this is quite expensive but worth the money

This streamline lightweight vacuum is very manoeuvrable, the main head swivels and turns easily. It’s easy to hold and comes with a re charging stand. Just pop it in the stand to store it and it charges at the same time.

The main part can also be removed and used as a hand held! Comes with 2 small attachments for this part well, if you purchase other models more attachments are included.

There’s a power increase/decrease button on the main handle as well. Remove the vacuum from the holder and it automatically turns on! LED lights at the front help you see what’s getting sucked up.

It’s a nice streamline design, so won’t take up too much space in the cupboard/hall.

Only downside is the 0.3l capacity to store dirt. It needs cleaned out every use probably, maybe that’s a good thing as our other vacuum is never emptied until it jammed!!! The brush in the bottom is easily detachable to remove hair.

Suction wise it seemed to clean my carpet better than my current vacuum cleaner! Being cordless also makes life so much easier when grabbing it to quickly clean!!

    Suck it up!
