Very happy with the camera, the image quality is very good for what we want it for, ie going on hols, getting it mounted on a bike, paddle board, etc. The build is very good and feels solid, the options are easy to change on the touchscreen and also the app you can download, I have had no problems with the app and it does not take long to change settings, etc. I used this on a gimbal which I have recently purchased and the images look great. Very happy considering the price paid, recommended.
I bought this to replace a GoPro that was stolen on my last diving holiday. Picked this one as it has the diver mode that assists with red saturation.
What I’ve bought is a product at least as good as my GoPro and in so many ways excels.
The dive mode has been tested at 20 meters and yes, it picks up red where the standard camera or unfiltered have long since lost all reds. The quality appears to be excellent.
Video quality is great, the sound is ok ( not underwater but that’s never an option) and the picture quality is also great.
Battery life is hard to judge, the longest I used it was underwater, on and off for an hour. The temp was very cold and the battery had plenty of charges left. On the surface, the two batteries should keep most people going all day and the battery charging bank is a great addition to charge the two together.
All in all highly recommnded.

I have used this camera for 5 months no problem free, the image quality was much better than expected.
I have used it underwater for some stunning shots while snorkelling, have used it hanging inside a bird feeder to film my garden birds, have used its time-lapse feature to film my business doing building work to great amusement of my customers. I treat this camera roughly and it happily takes the beating makes me feel at great ease that I dint shell out hundreds more pounds for another brand that wouldn’t have even preformed this well.
The iPhone/ipad app works amazingly and can quickly download and stream the videos
Only downside I would say is that it has too many accessories (clips and clamps and ties) but there again maybe they will come in handy one day and I guess other people might always be using these for extreme sports and stuff.
First one I purchased appeared to be defective as a lot of pictures were quite blurry even with the image stabilisation features turned on.
Akaso replaced it with another like for like version and so far so good. Pictures and videos have come out clear and look much better than on the previous camera.
I’ll update the review over time after I’ve had chance to use it more.
The camera itself seems really good, I took it on a snowboarding holiday and captures footage as good as or better than my old GoPro. The watch seemed to fail almost immediately, but as I couldn’t easily wear or operate it over my outerwear due to the small band size, this didn’t matter too much.
Overall, decent features and good quality videos, but the app suggested to link the camera to a smartphone is utterly terrible – very poor stability and generally hangs almost immediately on trying to transfer videos.
Received very quickly after placing order. Have been playing around the the settings and the mobile application and very pleased with both the camera and how it works remotely.
Picture quality for stills in normal light is fantastic – it punches above its weight for a small device! Video is also very good quality, and is critical for an action camera. Very handy accessory package – I am gradually working through these and am pleased with the versatility these provide. I am particularly looking forward to using the waterproof case to capture coral shots!
Overall, would highly recommend as a great value compact camera, that is comparable to products costing 3x as much! 5*!
I bought this for my girlfriend who loves outdoorsy stuff. The image stabilisation is excellent when attached to a helmet, and is pretty good when on a BMX’s handlebars on shaky dirt trails. It comes with loads of accessories, is really easy to use, and the battery lasts long enough for an hour or so of activity. It comes with 2 batteries, so if you do run out, there’s a spare!
Really impressed with the 4K and 1080p video, and the fact that you can take impromptu photos is a bonus.
Good picture quality. Battery charges quite quickly and last a decent amount of time. The quality of the camera is sturdy and a handy little size which allows the camera to be transported easily. I am loving the camera so far and I look forward to using more in the future and also the watch which I haven’t used as of yet. It came well packaged preventing any damage. Easy to use. Extremely good value.
I was looking for an action camera that I can use for vlogging and my bike and card rides. I already use my mobile and DSLR but I felt the need for a small camera that I can always carry. After reading online reviews and watching some sample videos I decided to purchase this camera and I am not at all disappointment. For the price it is packed with good features.
– The mic is surprisingly good.
– EIS is decent.
– It comes with 2 batteries which is great.
– It also comes with more than accessories than you will ever need.
Built quality is good, it feels sturdy.
Other features that I didn’t expect to work so easily.
– It works as web camera when connect to the cable that comes for charging. I used it on a Mac with USB-C adaptor and it worked without doing anything. I will be using it as my primary webcam with OBS for shooting from another angle for my online video tutorials.
– I have a micro HDMI cable, I plugged it in and it works smoothly with my TV for watching the videos.
One thing which I can’t figure out is the android mobile app. I tried one app that is mentioned in the manual but it crashed. Honestly not a big deal as I hardly use app to transfer media but would have been good if it worked straight away.
Overall I recommend this camera, especially for its price.
Did a lot of research before buying this camera since I wanted something that could tick a lot of boxes, which this one does. I’e had a chance to play with it and am very impressed. The photo quality is very good, the video works well at hi res and 30FPS, I switched the res down to try it and the images at 60FPS was excellent. The time lapse works well and gave me good consistent result to be used for a travel sequence. The still at high resolution are very clear. The camera comes with an enclosure that lets you take it diving which I am looking forward to, with the camera in the housing there is a slight fisheye effect at the edges of the images but not enough to distract from the image itself. Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Bought this action camera for holidays. I had been going to purchase a Go Pro 5 or 6 secondhand as the price of new ones was prohibitive but the Akaso brand new was cheaper. I was rather worried at first but read lots of reviews and decided to go for it. I’m pleased I did. It arrived quickly, well packaged with lots of extras, not sure I will ever use them all. I’m a heading, too rapidly for my liking, toward old age but I found it relatively easy to set up and begin using. So far it has come up to expectations. I haven’t tried everything on it yet, taking it underwater for instance but so far I am very pleased with i
Had this a couple of days now & it’s great so far. All working as it should & easily mounted to my helmet with the straps & accessories included. This is my 1st action camera so I don’t really have much to compare it to but I will say that the quality of both the product itself & of the videos in 4k is great , with no. plates etc easily visible. Menus are easy to use, the touch screen is great & the wrist control works too. Had some problems with the wifi connection cutting out, but I’ve heard that FLIGHT MODE could fix that.
Tried using it as a webcam & I’m not too sure yet, i play in low light & it’s not the best there., but maybe it’s just my settings!
Comes with loads of clips, sticky pads, straps and more. Looks like a good quality thing to me!
The box arrived and it felt like it took forever to take the attachments out of the box! It comes with a lot and the fact it comes with a second battery, dual charger and waterproof case is just great! The camera is easy to use and paired perfectly with the app and the remote. The image quality in daylight is great and the image stabilisation works pretty well, room for a little improvement but better than most. The image quality suffers a little a night but no worse than other action cams. I haven’t timed it but I think you get about 50 mins out of a battery @ 4K/30fps, which was better than I expected. I was going to buy a GoPro but a colleague suggested I look at the alternatives before spending the money and I’m so glad I did! If you’re looking for an action camera I don’t think you can go wrong with this camera; you’ll be getting big name quality, while saving a packet!

Akaso V50 Pro EIS electronic image stabilisation comparison action camera
Having had three sub 40 action cameras without image stabilisation that recorded disappointing footage while attached to my motorcycle helmet, I decided to level up with an EIS equipped camera.
Budget being a priority, Gopro’s were not an option.
I had my eye on a Yi 4k camera as we have a Yi dash cam and it’s fine, but then the Akaso V50 Pro caught my attention. It comes with all the mounts you could want and two batteries, while the Yi comes body only, you have to buy everything else separately. The Akaso was also on offer for 101 which made it considerably cheaper than the Yi.
Having used it now for a month, I’m very happy with the results. The batteries last about 50mins to an hour when recording in 4k. 4k recording is sharp but the real pleaser is the EIS. This makes a world of difference in motorcycle footage.
There is an option to record in the newer h265 video codec that only uses half the space of h264. I tried this but the resulting footage is very pixelated and jittery. I think work needs to be done on the software to rectify this as other reviewers have had the same problem. So I just use the h264 standard and everything works great. Included in this review is a video I made showing the difference with the EIS off and on. It is of the same peice of road with speedbumps near the end. I disabled the microphone so there is no sound and while the footage was recorded in 4k, for this video I’ve rendered it in 1080p and Amazon has also compressed it so it’s not as clear as the original footage, but it’s just to show the difference with and without EIS
The first action camera we have brought and did so after much reading around others in this price range, not wanting to pay the go pro prices. Brought for a holiday and the outdoor filming and pictures are brilliant. Being the first action camera it took a while to get used to the settings and trying out the wide lens options but very good quality. Indoor or low light and the quality is not as good but this isn’t what we brought it for.
Spare battery is a great idea. It meant a long beach day we have a back up just in case.
The accessories with it are good strong quality and were a surprise how many it came with – We ordered an ‘accessory pack’ from elsewhere at the same time as the camera and could have got away with not doing.
Transferring files is easy. The phone app took some getting used to but is good to transfer without needing a laptop.

I previously owned an Akaso EK7000 and whilst not delivering outstanding results, it was still very good for only 60. I upgraded to the V50 pro after reading all of the positive reviews and specs.
I was initially disappointed when doing some indoor test shots and videos. I was expecting the 20mp sensor to give pretty Impressive pictures. I tested all permutations of image settings and none of the results were very good. Outdoors things were a lot better and obviously this is generally how people will use it. Personally I did not find the stills or video to really be any better than those from the EK7000 costing half the price, which is a shame. However the additional features of the touch screen, variable width of view, and some extra camera settings still covers the price difference for me.
I was hoping that the spare door would have a hole in it for better video sound recording but it’s just another fully sealed door. The EK7000 offers exactly this; You can switch the doors to give you either a fully waterproof case with rather muted sound recording or a “robust” case for things like mountain biking.
The touch screen is great and was one of the key reasons I upgraded. It’s quick and easy to use but obviously can’t be used when sealed within the protective case. One good thing I would like to highlight that I have seen no one else mention is that you can still access the menu options via clever use of the two outer case buttons. With a bit of trial and error and learning when to hold down buttons for a second or two it is possible to, for example, change deep menu settings with the camera in the water and still sealed in it’s case. It’s fiddly and not quick but it can be done.
The unit itself and all of the associated accessories (and do go get a wonderful selection) are all pretty good build quality wise.
I also like the variable width of view feature (and this is not just a crop of a wider image as some have suggested) as I don’t always want the fixed wide angle lens look from more basic models.
I have not tried the wrist strap control yet. I don’t really have a need for it and it seems a little convoluted to set it up.
Also be aware that you lose date and time settings every time you pop the battery out. This is annoying but is apparently the norm will all action cameras of this sort of price point.
I’m overall still happy with it. Just be aware that it is still fundamentally a cheap camera (optically speaking) within a plastic case and so images will only look good in bright outdoor light.
After going through loads of YouTube videos I decided the best action camera for my purpose was the Akaso V50 Pro. It arrived a day after ordering which is great service using amazon prime. We tried the camera out and had issues with the picture quality so I contacted the Akaso customer service. They were very good and after a few exchanges offered some batteries as compensation. We had to get a refund on the original purchase after sending it back but ordered another which arrived again the next day. The new one works fine now. The picture quality on 1080p is not great but the 4k is spot on. Look forward to taking it away on a skiing holiday soon.
I was originally a little skeptical about how well this camera might perform given the price, but have been pleasantly surprised. The 4K and 2K video capture quality are excellent, and I was happy to find that the sound quality on these recordings was better than I expected from an onboard microphone. I bought the camera primarily to be able to make timelapse films whilst out hiking, and both the video and photo timelapse functions are really handy to have and work well. The touch screen has good sensitivity and makes accessing the settings much easier than using the buttons – which is the only slight downside when using the waterproof case. The number of accessories included is impressive; the wrist remote in particular is really useful, and the strap is good quality and comfortable. Do note though, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got a card reader for your micro SD card as you can’t just plug in the camera to a PC to transfer your media. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase, it’s an impressive little package for the price.
Generally happy with the product, the picture quality is very good for the price, image stablization and good clean crisp pictures. It is a little difficult to use the touch screen to setup, probably easier using the phone app. The only concern I have to-date is that I have seen the camera lock up on two occasions in the two weeks I have it. On one occasion I actually had to remove the battery in order to recover it, on the other occasion I had to power it off and then on again. Looking forward to using the time lapse and slow and fast motion features. The camera comes with a ton of accessories.

Once unpacked and charged the 2 batteries used the camera. Came with lots of accessories , very easy to use menu and great being touch screen. The battery life is good and comes with a second which is great, useful and time saving as not having to charge the battery. Great pictures in 4k, good sound quality. Only used currently practicing as we are off to Florida late February where we are swimming with the sharks at Tampa , my son is scuba diving at Epcot, and be used lots at discovery cove and seaworld. Hope to post some videos on our return. Good easy to use camera, touch screen with great 4k picture and good sound quality . Looking forward to using it in real situations.

If you’re looking for an action camera then this is the one for you.
A much cheaper alternative to the famous Go-Pro and does everything the same, if not better.
The item arrived very quickly and was perfectly packaged. The box is a great sturdy box that is great to keep the camera and accessories in for extra protection if you don’t have a case for it.
The picture quality is very good and so is the sound.
It comes with some really good accessories and is enough to get you on your way capturing some brilliant action and helping to keep those memories. The remote is also very good and reaches a good distance.
The App that you can download for it is very handy and user friendly and gives you another perspective of the angle your camera is capturing if you’re not behind it.
This is an all round great camera and a very good purchase. Definitely recommend.

If great value is a quality product at a reasonable price, then this is it…
Order and delivery – excellent service and fast (next day) delivery.
And so far so good on the camera – I’ve been trying it out around the house to get used to it before mountain biking at the weekend, then skiing next month – I’ll update here once I’ve properly tested, hopefully upwards to 5 stars! The quality seems great – both the product and the pics / vids… and there’s a big range of accessories all included – what’s not to like at a third the price of a gopro?
Also, I’ve not experienced bug issues others have reported on the app – I’m no tech whizz but it seems if you just remember to turn on wifi and / or remote control on the camera each time you want to use them they work fine, if a little clunky.
I’ve just come back from holiday using this and my GoPro and for the most part I left my GoPro at the hotel and stuck with this little camera instead. I’ve used GoPro cameras for years so I was amazed by this camera for the price! It’s amazing that Akaso throw in so many attachments and other accessories, compared to the GoPro cameras. One of the best things about this camera is that it comes with two batteries and USB charger! (Normally I have to buy those separately with he GoPro Cameras) When it comes to sound quality, then none of these little cameras (or even big DSLRs) have very good sound but it’s acceptable! I haven’t tried connecting an external microphone yet but the option is there. Picture quality is amazing! The sharpness seems identical to the GoPro and I actually prefer the colours of the Akaso look a lot more natural!

Compared to all the expensive alternatives – this camera is very good for the price it costs!
Picture quality is very good, I myself find the 1080p to be better as it’s 60fps (and appears lighter in comparison to the 4k 30fps) but I’ll test this out in the sun and make a decision.
I’ve essentially bought this for Florida to film the kids on the rides/in the water parks without needing something to protect an expensive phone (and wasn’t keen on paying GoPro money for something which won’t be regularly used).
As I said, it’s cheap – it functions well. Recordings appear OK and playback is normal. Quality is really good on the pictures. Audio is OK (we were fairly quiet) so no doubt on rides it’ll pick up their screaming (lol).
If you want something like a GoPro but don’t want to pay GoPro money it’s worth investing in this if you’re an infrequent user like me!
I’ve yet to test the remote controlled watch or the connection to a phone but nothing has been difficult to setup so far and it comes with a shed load of different accessories which otherwise would have cost a few quid to get additionally with other major brands.
After a disappointment with a different make that was a present, I did some extensive research on the many Action Cameras in the marketplace. I checked out the Akaso V50 Pro which, on paper ticked all the boxes. When it arrived (next day free delivery – amazing), I ran though all the functions immediately. Can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, great hi-def video and pictures and plenty of accessories. It has so many functions and settings that you would find on a camera three times the price.
Great buy and well pleased.
Package arrived faster than expected and was well protected. This camera comes bundled with a variety of accessories, mounts and attachments which mean you can get straight to shooting in a load of different configurations. I chose to pair the camera with a SanDisk Ultra 64gb card, which has worked flawlessly shooting in 1080p60 and also some short clips in native 4k.
The camera itself feels well built, the rubberised finish is similar to GoPro models, which it will inevitably be compared to. For a fraction of the price I couldn’t be happier with this camera – I was considering one of the budget end GoPro models before buying this Akaso camera, and with this one I have so many more features! The picture quality is comparable to more expensive cameras, and the EIS does a great job of making shots look great.
I have also tried out the Android app with the in-built WiFi, and I was able to connect easily and control functions from within the app itself – useful when the camera is in the housing where the touchscreen cannot be used. You can also download straight from the camera memory to your connected device, which I found perfect when I wanted to clear space on the SD card without having to plug into a laptop.
To conclude, this is a great little action camera and will serve any user remarkably well. I can’t wait to take mine to the Alps in a few weeks time for a real test!
I have just been given a Akaso V50 pro camera for Christmas by my family, as I am shortly heading off on an adventure holiday.
I have spent some time ‘getting to know’ the camera and have found it to be very nifty and flexible, the instructions are easy to follow. I am not a great “gadget person” but find the camera easy to use successfully. The image quality is remarkably good, fine for action shots, better than I was expecting.
Just received my Acaso V50 pro. I spent 2 days and nights solid over Christmas reviewing camera stats and online critiques before opting for this action camera. I can save you some time by letting you know this recording equipment is a fantastic piece of kit. The footage is great, the internal microphone is awesome for vloging and it is unrivaled with it’s extra accessories especially for the price. It comes with everything you need in the box including a double charger for your removable battery pack true 4k footage and good image stabilization.
Ash,
happy custome
This was a present for my 10 year old son so didn’t want to purchase an expensive GoPro so after reading the reviews I chose this one. We are more than happy with it, we have used it on holiday in the swimming pool and mountain biking and both have given good results. The touch screen is easy to navigate and the remote watch works well when biking. I also liked the option to wirelessly connect to a phone or tablet to view the media without having to use a laptop. I would definitely recommend the V50 pro as a budget alternative to a GoPro
I wanted to get a camera that I could use whilst cycling and on holidays which is not very expensive and small to carry. Basically, I wanted something very small so that I don’t have to take my DSLR and neither depend on my phone camera all the time.
I found AKASO V50 PRO to be reasonably priced and with good reviews. It comes with a lot of accessories and looks to be very sturdy. The picture quality is not so great but is still ok. I couldn’t use the wrist remote. Overall good value for money!
Here is all the things I like about AKASO V50 Pro SE.
– Very reasonable price.
– It records good quality video / audio. I tried mostly all the resolutions with different conditions and I am satisfied. 4K does surprisingly well.
– Lot of accessories. Waterproof case, mounts etc. This would otherwise cost you extra 15-30 USD.
– 3 batteries and a charging dock.
– Very cute small little case.
– Excellent customer service.
– App that lets you control the device, sync footage and photos.
For this money and spec there’s no need to spend your cash on the big name competition.
Great build quality, great bundled accessories, 2 batteries, wrist remote control. Image stabilisation is effective. Hi quality video capture.
I can’t find anything not to like about this.
Shell out 300 or 400 on other brands but your not getting much more for your money.
Purchased this after reading reviews of this and the go-pro and very glad I did. This was brilliant fir snorkelling in the Maldives, gorgeous pictures and videos with great picture quality. Easy enough to use, great waterproof cover. Slight trouble transferring via Bluetooth but using the lead quicker and worked perfectly. Great value for money
Edit: Akaso customer services reached out and swiftly replaced the faulty camera with absolutely no charges. As mentioned below, the product is fantastic and imagine I may have just been unlucky to receive a faulty product. Although it was frustrating at the time, I cannot fault their post care service. And look forward to capturing more memories in the future!
“Bought this camera for a trip to NZ. And for the first 3 days of use, it was fantastic!
Then it broke… I was simply recording a video and all of a sudden the display turned black. I haven’t mistreated the camera at all so not exactly sure what has happened…
Either way the display no longer turns on or looks like the images attached. It has now become a small brick I carry around on my trip. Not happy!”

Then it broke… I was simply recording a video and all of a sudden the display turned black. I haven’t mistreated the camera at all so not exactly sure what has happened…
Either way the display no longer turns on or looks like the images attached. It has now become a small brick I carry around on my trip. Not happy!”
This Camera is Fantastic value and very well made with a host of many extras. Wi-Fi works great and easy to install, with 2 batteries and a charger this is hard to beat in this price range. I watched many reviews of the V50 pro’ and found to be just right for what I wanted, Cycling and Video on the move, which is superb with the Image Stabiliser active. Very light and easy to use and the remote control is a handy bit of kit. Would recommend this to anybody who is in the market looking to buy an affordable quality Action Camera. Well done AKASO!
This camera was bought during the Black Friday deals because of the very positive reviews it has received both on Amazon and elsewhere. I am delighted to say that it has done exactly as claimed and I am very impressed at the build quailty, ease of use and video quality. The range of accessories is comprehensive, it came very well packaged and using a Sandisk 64gb card I get the full 90 minutes battery life in 4K quality with memory to spare. The camera itself has a premium feel due to the ‘rubberised’ texture of the case and the touch screen is both responsive and intuitive to use. In all this is an excellent camera, ideal for what I need and at a fraction of the price of its higher priced rivals. Impressed.
Was unsure about what action camera to buy but after reading reviews I decided to give the akaso v50 pro a try, after struggling to get the camera out I was surprised at the amount of fittings that came with it.
The camera it’s self was very easy to set up and figure out how to access all its functions, not over the top with functions which makes it easy to use. Pleasantly surprised with the picture quality and a vast improvement on my old camcorder, still photos are just as impressive and have not been able to find a fault so far. I haven’t used it enough yet so haven’t needed to try and transfer files to computers or tv yet but based on ease of use so far I’m sure it won’t be much of a struggle.
For the price and quality I would highly recommend.
The camera seems really good so far. The only issue is that the waterproof case is cracked. I had actually returned one for this reason but the second one came with the exact same problem so it will be fine to use in dry weather but not in rain which is a real shame. I would have expected better quality of the case for the amount of money paid.
The actual camera is good. It is quite difficult to use until you get the hang of it but the picture quality is fairly good. For the amount of money paid I would recommend it unless you will be using it for a lot of activities where it may get wet. I have been unable to order another waterproof case for it which is a shame.
The Akaso v50 pro is the greatest GoPro alternative camera on the market right now.
Not only because it is cheaper but provides the same performances or even better as it comes with loads of accessories and kits.
I like the remoote controller watch the most.
As I mostly record whem Im cycling.
The camera can be perfectly attached to my bike and my helmet as well and I can controll the recordings using the controller watch.
Comes with two batteries which are lasts around 1 and a half hour each.
But you can use a powerbank to charge them.
The touch screem works great and the settings are easy to use.
It says 64 GB sd card is recommended, however I use a 128GB SD card and it works perfectly.
The other cool feature is the app that you can download to your phone and can connect your phone with the camera.
It can record in real 4K 30FPS but I just use the 1080p 60FPS I found it more reasonable.
I have no problems with this camera so far and would recommend it.
Its really worth the money.
I’ve used this Akaso V50 Pro Camera a few times now and found it to be brilliant! The camera settings are easy to use and navigate and the touch screen is really handy. When you’ve got the camera in the waterproof casing, you can’t use the touch screen to navigate the menu, so you have to use the only 2 buttons on the camera, which are on the top of the unit; but this still works well.
The picture quality is excellent, with the 4K resolution. And the build quality is really good too. And for the price of this camera compared with a much more expensive GoPro, you’re getting amazing value for money and fantastic camera that you can use in the water, on a bike, hiking or anywhere else you can think of!
The range of attachments and accessories that come with the Akaso V50 Pro is pretty good as well – though I’ll be buying some additional ones to attach the camera to my bike!
Another thing I really like about the V50 Pro is the adjustable viewing angles, which you don’t get on some of the cheaper Akaso cameras. I can’t see how you’d go wrong with this camera and can’t recommend it enough.
Bought this camera because I wanted something to film in-car footage during trackdays. I opted for this camera after reading the other positive reviews and deciding I didn’t need to pay almost 400 for a Go-Pro.
So far I’ve been very satisfied with the camera. I used it for the first time at a trackday about a month ago and I was very happy with the image quality. My biggest concern about buying a cheaper camera was that the image stability might not be very good, but as you can see from the video clip it is fine for in-car filming (clip was filmed with EIS turned on). The large selection of mounts you get is also great, and made it easier to set up the camera in the car
– I used the handlebar mount on a piece of metal tube I had fixed to the driver’s seat headrest support.
As for ease of use, I have found it the touchscreen menus generally easy to navigate and use, although I do occasionally find the responsiveness of the touchscreen a little frustrating; sometimes requiring multiple presses before it responds. I was also disappointed by the remote control wrist strap, which initially I thought would be a really great feature, but the poor build quality lets it down. The wrist strap buttons don’t work very well and have a really cheap feel to them, so I find myself always having to check the camera to make sure it is actually recording, which kind of defeats the purpose. For these reasons I’ve only rated it four stars.
Some people have complained about the phone app, but I’ve found it to be OK and useful for checking the positioning/view of the camera. However, one problem I have found is with disabling the camera wifi afterwards, I can’t seem to get back to the camera’s main screen to disable it, so I end up having to turn the camera off and back on again.
To conclude, I think it is a great camera for the price, especially if you are just making personal videos for things like trackdays, etc., and would definitely recommend it over spend way more on a Go-Pro.
Really amazing value. Photos and videos were far better quality than they were expecting.
Reason for 4 stars is because the app really is poor. The images/video were poor quality on the app, which worried me, but as soon as I downloaded them to a laptop I realised the photo/video quality was excellent, it was just the app giving a bad impression.
Updated
They’ve contacted me and offered me a free Akaso mic which works decent enough. Gets the job done!
I bought this one especially because its mentioned that you can use a mic with it which is not true! You plug in a mic through a mini USB adapter and it still recorded with its internal mic.
I was a bit worried that this camera might be a tad too big for my bicycle, as it looks larger than life in the pictures. To my surprise it was tiny and the tons of accessories it comes with not only cover a wide range of activities but tuck away nicely. I fly mostly budget airlines and space is vital now that even carry-on’s are a luxury, so it’s great that I can just stow this gear in my coat pockets easily. Another reason I bought this action camera is because I want a lot of detail for when I’m riding my bike/motorcycle in London, it’s hectic and I like to document the ride as I’ve had a few near misses. Out of the box, I’m satisfied, looking forward to seeing how the camera holds up over the coming winter months, I doubt it’ll be a problem though with all the water-tight accessories.
I spent quite a lot of time reading all of the reviews for this type of this camera before placing an order, the more reviews I read the more confusing it became. I plumped for the V5o pro as its spec at 4k was far better value than the more expensive camera’s on the market.
As soon as I opened the box and emptied all the contents it was obvious I had made the right choice, there are a lot of accessories.
Although there is a starter manual and comprehensive online manual it is instantly easy to use.
I bought this camera primarily to use for diving but was concerned about the reviews for the underwater housing, first impressions are that the housing seems fine, I have opened and closed the housing a number of times without issue, with regards to its water tightness I will now have to wait to the spring before I test dive it. I recommend that the first test dive is carried out with the housing empty.
The camera connected to my phone by wifi instantly and the movies played back on my MacBook pro without issue. The remote control also worked straight away.
Overall great value for money, however like any product time will tell with regards to reliability. But like my title says ” it all worked straight out of the box”
I previously ordered a similar camera, different brand, but it wouldn’t turn on the second time I tried to use it. Returned it and after watching some reviews online decided to try this one. I’m glad I did as it’s been great from the start. No issues with reliability, turns on and off every time and hasn’t frozen once. The touch screen is really responsive and the menu is really simple and intuitive.
The video quality is great for this money and the stabilisation works really well when filming on bike helmet. The included accessories cover most shooting requirements although there’s no anti fogging packets to put in the waterproof case. But as I won’t be using underwater shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
All in all I’m very satisfied with the camera and would definitely recommend it as a cheaper alternative to a GoPro.

AKASO V50 Pro
Review on their Customer Service – 26th April 2020
Their customer services (Sophia) contacted me regarding a 50% refund or a new camera due to an issue with the previous one. I received the replacement very promptly but have yet to test it due to the ‘Lockdown’ situation we find ourselves in. However, when the replacement camera is tested a review will be written about it.
But in the meantime, as regards their customer service, they are very good and get full marks for the handling of this issue. Hopefully the replacement camera will to what it is supposed to do.
For the price this is a good camera, capable of good quality video and stills in daylight. Even the built in mic is only as bad as most GoPro models, so why only three stars? The banner headline description states clearly it can use an external mic and it cannot! Unless it has firmware version 6 or above which mine did not it was version 4! It is possible to upgrade the firmware, they say, but I gave up trying because it’s impossibly complicated and probably does not exist!
UPDATE 1 January 2019. Now 5 stars!! Since writing the original review I have been provided with a dedicated Lavelier Mic by Akaso. This does work with the camera and improved the audio considerably! Using this mic, which I am sure Akaso have or will soon have available, the camera is moved into the big league and now in many ways is a real competitor to GoPro. In my opinion this camera now offers remarkable value for money and is highly recommended.
After Initial issues on delivery (detailed below) AKASO-EU proceeded to try and resolve the whole issue.
On initial delivery everything looked great until I tried to format the SD Card. The camera started to smoke from the slot. The area around the SD card slot was very hot and it burnt my finger. I reported all to Amazon, who asked me to return the item, which I did.
Due to injury caused and camera damage, I was contacted by AKASO-EU (Hong Kong based) Customer Service Team who were outstanding. Their Customer Service Team were constantly in contact and have now resolved my issue with a Fantastic Goodwill gesture (replacement) to my entire Satisfaction.
Well done AKASO-EU.
I am only waiting for them to replace the SD Card as promised.
I wasn’t expecting a lot here given the low price, but I am not really the target audience for a GoPro. I just wanted something reasonably priced, with reasonable quality, for playing around with when out with the family. The Asako V50 is just perfect for that, and frankly better than expected. The only thing I don’t particularly like is the iSmart Pro+ IOS app that you need to use (free download; Android as well) as the messages are in Chinese, but everything else in in English. I eventually got it sorted out, but should not have to do that. For the rest, a great product!
I wanted a camera that I could use whilst cycling and on holiday but that wasn’t too expensive. After lots of searching and reading of reviews the AKASO V50 appeared to fit the bill.
The AKASO V50 is small, compact and relatively easy to use and comes with a multitude of accessories. I used it for the first time on holiday and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the video recordings and pictures.
I tried to experiment as much as possible with the camera whilst I was away, taking pictures, using the time lapse recording functionality and I also used the camera in and underwater. I was more than satisfied with the results obtained and whilst the sound is quieter when the camera is in the plastic housing the sound is still audible.
I appreciate that I still need to experiment further and investigate a couple of options, such as setting the date and time and also removing the date and time displayed on the pictures (as they are incorrect). An operator error rather than a fault of the camera.
I’ve tested it with the Android App from my phone and the Watch Remote and have encountered no issues.
All in all for the money paid and the quality of results achieved, I am completely satisfied with the purchase.
I needed an Action Camera with all the features and quality of a GoPro but nowhere near the price-and for just over 110 here it is. Excellent quality, very well made and with comprehensive features. Comes with many extra accessories and a separate battery charger (x 2 slots) which is USB powered and there’s a spare battery too.
There is an online manual you can download to get the best from this camera so you will be certain to enjoy using it and get the best performance and quality it provides.
Highly recommended.
Lovely product, good quality and easy to use. In my opinion, let down by two disappointments: 1. The date/time crash each time you switch it off, and it’s tedious to re-set every time. (Same is true for the remote) 2. The remote cannot switch the camera on or off, and apart from the faintest of bleeps, there is no positive feedback to the operator as to what the camera status is, i.e. that the camera is actually filming when you have requested it to via the remote: Only way to be 100% sure is to visually access the back of the camera – in which case there’s not much point to the remote!
Old review: It’s not too bad for the price. It feels like bracket holding case together wouldn’t last (as some reviews mentioned). Camera has been returned after using it for few days – don’t see myself using it often. For the price you pay, though, it’s rather good camera.
Update: Thanks to customer service and their willingness to help rating has been increased. Thank you guys.
Second review on the camera. I did have an issue with the battery with the first camera but it was replaced after the company contacted me following the first review. I am pleased to say I have not had any problems with the new one. It’s very simple to set up, sync to the wifi and download the app for my iphone. There is a very good Instruction Manual which is downloadable. It comes shipped with a plethora of mounting accessories, but NOT with a micro SD card – you need to purchase that separately, which for me, cost an additional 40. I doesn’t come shipped with a UK 3pin plug either so you would need a 3pin plug with a USB connector. Fortunately my iphone has a 3pin with USB connection so that does the job.
The camera image quality is very good and delighted the waterproof case worked and was effective but not tried at any real depth. Battery life was OK but then I didn’t expect too much being a 4K camera but its great having two batteries. Videos were good but the image stabilizer was not as sharp as I would have liked.
The remote control is OK but a bit fiddly for me, but it works.
Overall, I liked the camera and it does the job equally as good as a GoPro and at a more competitive cost.
I have to say the customer service is outstanding so when there was a problem with the camera they were very quick at responding to the issues and offering a solution. In my opinion it says a lot about the company and I feel very confident that if I needed to contact them again I would get first class service.
I wasn’t very happy with a v50 pro when I received it. I have returned the camera but then Tara from customer support team, in very nice way, offered me to give a camera a second try. I did and second camera fully meets my expectations. Solidly built, it is probably the best choice in this price range. Excellent customer support: fast, professional and very polite. They are ready to help you in the any possible way. In the end, I am very pleased with both, the purchase and the service from the seller/manufacturer.
The quality is definitely good, the only problem is that the waterproof cover broke after two days in use. It’s a shame because we bought this camera to take pictures underwater and we couldn’t do it.
After contacting the customer service they sent me a replacement for the waterproof case straight away. I’m really happy with the service.
Six months later I had to buy two extras waterproof cases as my replacement broke as well.
Now my camera stopped to work with a frozen message saying Akaso and making noise! Destroyed my holidays as it was my second day on holidays!
How can I get my refund? Very sad to be on holidays with focus on snorkeling and my camera stopped to work!
I love a gadget and this one does not disappoint. It needs a fair bit of setting up; download the manual PDF, download the app, and don’t forget you must have a micro SD card to store the images. There are myriad settings to chose from in the touch screen menu. Once set up, it is simple to use and it produces good images. The minor gripe I have is the remote control on the wrist strap is not the best quality, the buttons don’t fill me with confidence that they would last very long.
Since writing the review below, the sellers have sent me a replacement camera to me at zero cost, so I praise them for excellent customer service. I have tested the replacement camera in a swimming pool and had no leakage problems so have upgraded original rating from 3 stars to 4.
Original review:
This was one of the more pricey non Go Pro alternatives and so I had hoped for a bit better.
Water leaked noticeably into waterproof case even when simply snorkeling (see photo), there was no point in using it for a dive to 25 meters which I had intended. Other snorkelers were using Go Pro Hero 4 and Hero 5 and Olympus Tough cameras. There was a notable better quality of image especially underwater from these more expensive devices. Next time I will pay more than twice as much and get myself an Olympus Tough. If you are not going to use this device underwater and in bright conditions I think it might be adequate, I was pleased it had image stabilisation.
Brilliant product! After researching for countless hours what to action Cam to buy at an affordable price, and I have 100% made the right choice, this is an exceptional product for a tiny price tag. The screen is highly responsive, software has no lag, image quality is great and I had it set up within 5 minutes, including the iPhone app. 2 batteries is a great bonus too!
I would recommend this to anyone looking at an alternative action Cam and can’t see any reason why you’d pay the additional money elsewhere.
Stop thinking and get buying!
The packaging was hard to open as it was glued to the box . The camera looks good and as I have already used the EK 7000 ultra he 4K version I’m looking forward to getting even better results
I was very pleased with the response I received from Akaso who speedily resolved my queries.
The cameras are in full use and I will be posting my videos on You Tube. I highly recommend this camera. You can’t buy better for the price and the results.
Bought this as I am going travelling for six months and wanted something for underwater photos. So far so good, especially for the price as some action cameras can be 400 +. Have taken a few photos and videos with it and the quality is good, so happy with that. The touch screen lags a little. When in the casing the buttons can be a bit sticky. However it is well packaged, to take the camera out you have to squeeze the prongs and slide. Haven’t used underwater yet but will update the review when I do.
Update 25th October:
So have used the Akaso several times now and its okay for the price but not amazing. The waterproof casing snapped but the Akaso/Amazon customer service team were so helpful and sent me a new on to my location in Japan. I have also realised that there is actually no longer any sound on the videos taken more recently which is disappointing.
I have used this camera a few times now and have found it to be an amazing little toy! I don’t generally use it on the 4k at 30 FPS, opting for the lower resolution at HD and 60 FPS. The image is faultless and vivid, the stabalisation works and the recording volume is easily up to the job. I’ve seen images taken with a Go Pro and this camera easily matches it in the settings I’ve used it. If you want an action camera at bang for buck, this is the one. Worth every penny.
I wish now that I hadn’t bought a gopro. This camera is every bit as good and much more user-friendly. It has every feature you could want and the steady cam feature is amazing. You can get three of these for what you’d pay for a gopro and these are better to start with! The LCD is easy to read and very intuitive. It comes with two batteries and a charger. All you need is a chip and you’re ready to go, I hughly recommend this unit.
Fastastic Action Camera. Superb quality, premium look and feel, great price and accessories overload!
The 4k quality is outstanding for a camera of this size and the software features are handy. From the video distortion correction to the options from superwide to narrow angles, it gives a wide choice of customization.
The ability to connect and transfer images and videos my Smartphone with direct wifi is a brilliant feature.
I would recommend this camera over any other alternatives – 10/10
After playing around with the V50 Pro for a few hours, the video quality seems pretty good together with the image stabilisation. The hardest bit was actually getting through the packaging! The UI seems quite intuitive although limited optionality on some of the features – for example, 720p is the lowest quality available at 120fps, which still ends up consuming a lot of data per minute of filming.
This is however being a bit picky. Ultimately for the price which is a quarter of the GoPro Hero versions, this is a great alternative and I’m quite pleased with what I have, which is really a fun action cam for the occasional holiday, hike, swim etc.

I bought this Akaso V50 Pro to go on holiday with two of our grandchildren, it came with all the necessary accessories (19 in total). We used it on trips just as a video and stills camera and for snorkelling of the boat and just playing with the kids in the swimming pool. The sound quality is good enough though not brilliant but the video quality is excellent for an action camera at this price point. When viewed on our 65″ 4K TV everything from a couple of feet to infinity was in sharp focus (Wide angle lens setting of the 4 focal length settings available) and colour reproduction was very good and virtually jitter free. This camera is really easy to use and we love it.
Pros: – Price, easy of use, image quality, build quality, supplied accessories, touch screen (not in waterproof case), features (slow motion, fast motion, filters, effects, time lapse and more).
Cons: – A little fiddly to adjust settings in the waterproof case, sound acceptable but not great, accessory finger screws are not stainless steel and need to be dried after submersion to avoid rust.
My verdict: – fantastic little action camera for this sort of money, watch out GoPro. I would recommend this little gem as a great buy.
I spent some time searching before I made my decision to purchase for the AKASO V50 Pro action camera as had action cameras in the past and did not reach my expectations. The AKASO V50 Pro camera did not disappoint. I needed a camera for my European motorcycle tour that I could attach to the motorcycle and video my ride and also for family holidays abroad that I could use in the pool and sea. I needed a camera that would work at high speeds on my motorcycle and wouldn’t leave a blurry video or images and would stay waterproof and stand up to tough conditions on a motorcycle European tour. I chose the AKASO V50 Pro, as it had an image stabilizer and videoed in 4k 30fps and was priced a lot lower than the GoPro`s. The result of the video’s came out better than expected. I sent some video’s to friends on the tour and they were impressed and are now going to order the cameras there selves for their Motorcycles. It rained a few days on my trip on the motorcycle and the camera stayed water tight. This camera filled all the boxes for me and pleased with my purchase.
I have had a go pro hero 4 silver for around 2 years and have been extremely impressed with its performance but considering that at the time of this review the v50 pro is only 119 and the hero 4 silver is still at almost double the price I would highly recommend moving over to this brand. It has got a high quality build and the video is on par to a 300 or 400 go pro hero 5 or 6 which is absolutely astonishing considering the price difference. I will not be buying a go pro and switching back unless go pros prices drop because this product proves that they are a rip off , especially as this has a diving mode whereas go pros require post recording editing or filters which may cost up to an extra 90. the only down side to the product is that the software can seem a bit clunky and not very smooth but that is only due to me being used to the go pros animated menus. This product also comes with many accessories in the box and even a replacement back door and a microfibre cloth which I don’t remember ever getting with my go pro hero 4 silver. It even comes with a new codex feature which allows for even more recording time. crazy money saver and a crazy cheap bit of technology , all I can say is don’t waste your money on a go pro with this amazing device being available and of the same quality.
Initially opening the box at home all looked good.
Plenty of fixtures and fittings.
I’ve just taken this camera on holiday and have found it unusable in any other mod than press the button and take a photo/video. The remote watch that you are meant to use to take photos remotely simply doesn’t work. Instructions are very vague and limited. This will be returned as soon as we get back to UK. Not happy
Update – this week I was contacted by the supplier who offered to send me a replacement unit.
This they did quickly within 3 days.
This unit works as expected in the first place. So I thank them for sorting this out. This my new to 4*

Purchased the Akaso V50 pro to take snorkelling whilst on holiday. Decided to take it for a test run beforehand to get to know how to use it.
We did some mountain biking, took it to the local pool, had it running in a stream and finally put it on to the car. The results were all pretty good. The video was clear and stable even while bouncing around on the mountain bike.
Only downer is the remote controls feels a bit iffy whilst pressing the buttons, I some times had to press the buttons twice. Not a major problem as I don’t think I’ll use it that much.
Overall a great action cam at an amazing price
I’m being generous giving it 4 stars because I have some problems with it. But I guess you get what you pay for and it’s cheap.
Firtly the button to record and take pictures is not good. I don’t know if it’s just a problem with mine. You just tap it and it starts rercording. There is no pressing. Just rub it with your fingere and it starts, or stops if it is already recording. If you tap the casing even next to the button it does the same thing. Doesn’t have the same click as the power button.
I tried a time-lapse attached to a power-bank. When the power ran out and the camera turned off the file corrupts and cannot be played. So unless you have it plugged into the mains or are there to actually stop it yourself time-lapse is useless.
The slow-mo is neat and for what you’re paying it’s ok. Not a Go-Pro but you’re not paying go-pro prices.
I love this camera, have used it on many different activities so far and its just what i needed. I have been hesitant to get an action cam as i didn’t want to spend hundreds of pounds on a popular branded one and after reading so many positive reviews and seeing many positive videos, i took the plunge on the Akaso.
I am so glad I did, picture, video quality is absolutely superb and is extremely easy to use. Sound is quite quiet when played back on the camera but as soon as the file is transferred and viewed externally the sounds is totally fine.
Overal an excellent camera which i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.
Great value for money when compared to the extortionate costs for a GoPro. Ok so it’s not a GoPro but the quality is amazing for the price. Crisp clear pictures and videos on most of the setting, really like the 60fps on 1080p and the sound when the camera is in its waterproof case is surprisingly good. Meets all my expectations so far, though I have yet to use on my motorbike which was the undoing of my last action cam, so i’ll update review once I have tried it. Going on holiday shortly so it’ll get a good test in Mexico in the various elements. It comes with a reasonable range of accessories, 2 batteries, which I like and a charger which tells you when they are charged. It also has a wrist based remote which works well so far. All in all a good quality action camera for a third of the price of an equivalent GoPro.
This camera came very well packaged, secure with a prompt delivery. The camera itself is pleasing on the eye and easy to use; the picture and sound quality are both excellent. The camera also comes with a lot of accessories which will come in useful. I downloaded the app to get the content on my phone, which again was very easy to do and useful.
To improve, the selfie stick being included would have been great, especially if you are using the camera to travel, like myself. Also a paper user guide would have been handy.
I was apprehensive buying a budget action camera but I reccommend if you want to save some money!
Before buying this camera I did a lot of research into usability and video quality because Akaso wasn’t a brand I’d heard of before. That said I certainly wasn’t disappointed! I’ve used the camera on my bike (bicycle) a couple of times and the video quality is brilliant, I’ve also used the stop motion functionality to film some fun afternoons in the garden with the kids on the trampoline and in the paddling pool, and those videos look great too! I’ve not taken many photos with this camera, but to be honest that’s not why I bought it. I’m really happy with the camera and the accessories that came with it. I did also buy the extra accessories so I can attach the camera to more stuff. I would 100% recommend this camera to anyone especially as it’s at such a great price, don’t be put off by the fact that it’s not a known big brand. The 4k video quality is brilliant.
I bought this product for everyday use as an alternative to buying the much higher priced gopro, I’ve used action cameras for all different purposes, motorbike video, snowboarding, climbing, mountain biking and diving. The v50pro is a brilliant little camera, video quality is really good in 4k30 and still images are of a good quality. It’s really easy to use and does everything you ask of it.
The fact you get loads of accessories and the highlight is an extra battery!!!!! I love that. This package is an absolute bargain
This camera and also my akaso brave 4 both are really let down by the remote control, it’s a below standard unit, although it works, it’s really low quality and is something that could be developed down the line.
Arrived quickly with a 24 hr prime delivery. Took the camera on holiday to use snorkelling and scuba diving. Unfortunately the casing leaked on a 5 metre scuba dive and the camera wouldn’t work. Only hope that the footage I had on the sd card survived – which it did. Contacted customer services for Asako and they promptly sent out a new camera, although too late for the holiday. Will be checking the new camera in water before taking it on holiday. Apart from the above its a good camera and the footage I have taken with it is excellent for the cost and size of the camera.
I ordered the AKASO V50 Pro after I managed to lose my AKASO V50 while canyoning – my fault, entirely. I was already very impressed and satisfied with my V50 which I used both while diving and mountain climbing. However, I did miss the presence of a red filter while diving and so, given the opportunity, I decided to upgrade to the V50 Pro which includes a red filter option. I can’t wait to take it diving! The touch screen feature and the adjustable viewing angle is an added bonus. In my opinion, this is camera offers excellent quality at a very competitive price. It would would be difficult to go wrong with it.
This is a great camera. Arrived time, well packaged with everything promised in the box.Charged batteries before use.
Boots up quickly with touch screen easy to use and navigate around menue.
I decided to keep the default setting until I was familiar with the camera and happy with the results.
I have posted two pic, screen shot taken from 4k setting, brilliant. This was recorded camera on the front of my bicycle,
the motor bike was traveling at lest 30 MPH more than me, no blur, no distortion.
I will update when I have tried different setting.
AKASO V50 Pro Native 4K/30fps 20MP WiFi Action Camera with EIS Touch Screen Adjustable View Angle 30m Waterproof Camera Remote Control Sports Camera with Helmet Accessories Kit
I recently purchased two V50 Pro action camcorders, one each, for my children, initially pricing up the GOPROs, realising that I would need to take out a loan I quickly looked around for a more cost effective product.
We have had the V50 Pro for under a week and so far it has been excellent. As action camcorders go the V50 Pro may not have the qudos of a GOPRO but it does tick all the boxes for functionality. The sound and video is very good in ideal lighting conditions on land and under water less so during twilight but then again how many action camcorders are good in low light conditions. The EIS is reasonable, I am looking into how to improve the calibration of the gyros.
CNEST customer services is very good, responding promptly to my many questions. I have been in communication with Grace and her responses though delayed have been very clear and concise.
I am still investigating how to calibrate the EIS, determine how to check for firmware updates and if spare batteries and chargers can be supplied.

The AKASO V50 Pro is an excellent cost effective alternative to the more expensive GOPRO cameras in its class. It’s high quality 4K video is just awesome. 4K recordings are smooth and flawless with EIS enabled.
The still photos taken in camera mode are nice and crisp
The Camera comes with a waterproof protective case and a massive array of mounts to allow the camera to be mounted (e.g. Cycle/bike helmets handlebars etc.)
The touch screen is clear and easy to use for changing the many settings and recording options on the camera. The remote control watch is very useful for controlling the cameras shutter, but the only drawback is you need to turn on remote functionality every time you switch the camera on. (It would be nice if the camera locked in the remote function and the remote on/off woke the camera from say a standby mode — like a TV remote.) The camera also comes with 2 batteries, a neat dual charger, spare back door and a cloth for cleaning the lens.
Great value for money when compared to a GoPro. Yes it’s not a GoPro but the quality is amazing. Only took delivery today but already got some great footage. Crisp clear pictures and videos and the sound when the camera is in its waterproof case is surprisingly clear. I checked out YouTube prior to purchasing and this Akaso V50 Pro was a favourite by far for some time. I noticed it was available in the UK and now I’m the proud owner of one. Meets all the expectations just as it did with the reviewers on YouTube. Going on holiday in a couple of weeks so I’ll put it through its paces. Like most it comes with a range of accessories, 2 batteries, charger and most importantly the remote. All in all a great quality action camera for half the price of a GoPro.
I ordered this camera after watching and reading a number of reviews on “action” cameras. Although all of the reviews praised the Akaso V50 Pro, I remained skeptical. However, fortunately, I was wrong. This camera is fantastic. The picture quality is brilliant, extremely easy to use and the build quality is brilliant too. I will definitely recommend this camera to others looking.
The camera comes with some very useful accessories. This includes 2x battery and a double battery charger as well as a long list of fixtures and fittings.
This product was delivered within 24 hours of ordering, which is always a positive too.
Great camera with loads of accessories and it costs half the price of a go pro whats not to like?
*edit*
Brought the camera on a trip to Thailand after purchasing and the waterproof case clasp broke almost immediately which meant i couldn’t take any underwater shots which was why I bought the camera in the first place. It doesn’t leave me with great expectations for the rest of the kit…
*edit 2*
I was contacted in relation to my review and was sent a spare waterproof case which i do appreciate but I feel like the case isn’t fit for purpose and will soon break again, but that is the only flaw

Just recently purchased the Akaso V50 pro model. So far I am satisfied, the overall build quality of the camera is great, the design is clean, easy to navigate with the buttons on the top of the body.
Photo and video quality is satisfactory, 20MP and native 4K video resolution makes this camera to be widely used. The camera comes with lot of accessories, that further strengthens the previous statement.
V50 pro model is equipped with touch screen (regular V50 lacks this option). The screen could be more responsive for navigation, and the overall menu structure could be better organised. Sometimes it is hard to find an option in menu, and navigation is quite small.
All in all, good value for money.
