The company
Founded in 1921 as a “Workshop for the processing of brass and nickel silver sheet metal, with foundry”, Alessi has always stood out for the high quality of its products.
In almost a century of history, the company has gradually evolved to become one of the leading “Factories of Italian design”, capable of applying its expertise and excellence in design management to many different product types.
Open to change and international development, Alessi at the same time has a strong bond with the traditions and cultural background of its area and continues to be synonymous with handcrafted objects produced with the help of machines.
Alessigraphy: the geography of Alessi production
Since the Company’s Foundation in 1921 the Majority of Alessi Products have Been Manufactured through the Cold Working of Metals, a Tradition that is Kept Alive Today by the Skilled Workers at the Crusinallo Plant in Omegna.
Over time, Alessi also began to work with many other materials, such as porcelain, glass, wood, and plastic. A specific production method was developed for each one. Even when production takes place outside the Crusinallo plant, Alessi’s guidelines ensure the company’s original production quality standards, continuing to reconcile industrial technological complexity with an artisanal eye for detail.
The objects produced from the different materials are manufactured in various production plants across the world. They remain original Alessi objects in that they are conceived with the same design excellence and produced with the same attention to quality that sets the company’s products apart.

It’s just a kettle – but it looks great! The nicest applicance on my worktop atm. Never thought a kettle could make me so happy if you need one, and you are style conscious – buy it! Boils water too
A good looking kettle which looks fantastic as part of my kitchen range, and after looking for a few weeks, I managed to grab this one at a great price. Works well and boils quickly, and I genuinely love the look.
As an added bonus, this kettle boils quickly and makes very little noise when doing so, it sounds much quieter than previously owned kettles.
The switch is red whilst boiling and the lid of the kettle is quite quirky – pull back rather than pull up, which is a bit different and part of the overall design.
Overall, a well thought out piece of design which looks superb in the kitchen. We love it.
Very stylish, makes a statement in a quality kitchen. Two down sides is you can’t see amount of water inside unless you open lid. But that would detract from its solid style. The switch glows red when on,, blue would have been better. The switch too feels a little flimsy so I’m gentle with it and hope it doesn’t break. Overall 9/10 and love it.
I’m in love with this kettle and as an avid tea drinker I do not say that lightly! I go through kettles, have had years where I’ve bought 4 kettles because I just wear them out. I’ve had this now for 6 months and not only is it stylish and lightweight it can cope with the copious amounts of tea me and my family drink.
Things to note: it’s not a fast boil – but hey patience is a Virtue right?
Practice opening the lid before using (you push the knob on top backwards with your thumb and it opens really easily but because it’s not something you are used to doing it does take a minute to get in the habit) show anyone who boils the kettle in your house how to do it!! My dad almost pulled the lid off of ours!!
I’d also say that it’s good for people with arthritis or any weakness in hands or fingers to use. My mum has limited movement in her hand and struggled to use our other kettles and finds this one super simple as it’s so light weight.
It also looks great, I don’t feel the need to try and hide it away – I like seeing it on my counter tops and everyone always notices it and admires it.
Very attractive looking modern black kettle. Very light weight, the lid & the on/off button are very flimsy. Would not recommend with heavy usage or clumsy family members. Holds a lot of water but is super noisy. Expensive but looks nice, can’t see it lasting long
Very stylish looking kettle; heats quick without too much noise. Downsides; rather expensive but I guess that’s for the brand & looks; main problem (I see others mention it too) is the lid; when fully open it doesn’t close easily and feels like it could break if forced. For this price I would expect better engineering!
This looks so stylish
However be prepared potential buyers to realise it’s made of a “plastic” material which you may think is expensive for a plastic kettle however the styling more than makes up for this and if you have strength issues and need something lighter perhaps for stylish elderly or disabled family members then this is ideal
I love it !
You buy this kettle for beauty not practicality, so for beauty 10 stars. For practicality, it boils the water, you can’t select the temperature desired, which would be good but not a necessity.
This kettle is really lightweight and feels great to use. The design is striking and it’s always receiving positive comments from visitors.
The kettle lid is operated by pushing the Alessi handle back and lifting. Don’t pull as it will brake apart from the bottom section. ( I found this out as my mum couldn’t work it out so pulled it ) it however did snap back on easy enough and hasn’t come off again.

Bollitore ottimo, non avevo letto io UK, quindi mi sono ritrovata una presa sbagliata. Risolta con adattatore, ma prodotto eccellente!
Everyone that comes into the kitchen always comments on the kettle. I love it.
It works as a standard kettle.
It is fully plastic and feels super light.
The lids does feel a little flimsy and doesn’t separate fully from the kettle but you soon get used to this.
I have to say this kettle is all style over substance but it does the job it’s intended for and looks great at the same time.

I love this kettle it is lightweight, easy to keep clean , is quick to boil and quite
Stylish, sleek and quiet kettle. Uses less energy than my old kettle. It’s also pleasing on the eye.
Ok so it’s pricier then your average kettle but that’s the point, it’s not average.
After extensive research I chose this because it’s not only stylish & aesthetically pleasing but it’s functionality is great too. Boils quickly & good capacity.
Lovely addition to my home & would recommend if you appreciate quality & good design.
I love my Alessi kettle! I wanted a tall, unique & sleek design & Alessi certainly delivered on both design & function. A nice quiet boil & the lid opens nicely. I am mindful to close lid gently. So happy with my purchase & everyone is always commenting on how trendy my kettle is!
Ben fatto.
Absolutely made up with the kettle. So stunning and stylish.
Goes perfect in my kitchen and looks like a piece of art.
We bought both the Alessi Toaster and the Alessi matching Kettle; both our absolutely amazing and stylish. Everyone who has come visit us has complemented us on this and it is well worth spending the extra few quids for some style. The kettle is speedy, can fit a ton of water (not literally) and yeah we are delighted with it. Get the toaster too!
If you have bought this you have maybe done a bit of research on the designer ect. At the end of the day its a kettle it boils water if you like good design you will like it . Make sure you follow the set up cleaning process with the bicarb ect and your good to go .
I love the design of this kettle, looks great. It is quieter than our last kettle, which I wasnt expecting after reading a few reviews. Boils relatively quickly.
If you had to have a fault with it it would be that its hard to see the max fill line inside because it is black, but that isnt really an issue

Absolutely beautiful kettle, for the design conscious. As matt black and sleek as the photo. Nominal cleaning required for limescale so far.
This kettle might be extravagant but it really is a beauty. I am getting so much pleasure in using it that I’ve already forgiven myself for spending 80 on a kettle!
For the price, you might be expecting it to fill itself up and make the tea for you but no, it is just a (very expensive) kettle!! It does look great though, everyone always comments on it when they see it. It shows water marks so needs a wipe down every now and then if it gets splashed. Very happy with it, probably just got more money than sense.
Love the aesthetics of this kettle although it is pricey, its lightweight easy to clean and finishes my kitchen.
Only given 4 stars due to the price
