Easy to hold and compact weights. Better than other brands I’ve tried.
At a time when dumbbells are selling out everywhere and prices soaring – it was nice to be able to grab hold of some of these. You can find them cheaper when demand is much lower so had to bite the bullet and pay top whack, but this doesn’t deter from them being a top product. Feel really nice quality and I like the feel and grip you get with these – the coating also helps stop damaging your floor. I’d highly recommend getting a set of these on whatever weight you are after – I went for 10kg and very happy
Very impressed by the small footprint of the weights, which allows you to use them for more exercise-related workouts. (Back lifts, sit-ups, press-ups etc.). The grip is slip-free and a good shape to get a firm comfortable grip. When I first started looking for a set of Dumbells I was shocked at the price everyone was charging, but I’m glad I bought this set because you can see and feel the quality of the product. Worth the money, highly recommended.

Annoyingly I didn’t realise it was only to buy 1 weight so I then had to order another, making them quite expensive. But the quality is very good and I do use them rather a lot.
Was very lucky to even get them as lockdown 2.0 was just announced when mine arrived! Very easy to use for beginners and they can be easily stored away! A very good price for a set of dumbbells also!
The dumbbells are excellent it arrived in time before the second lockdown in Republic Of Ireland. Delighted with them & it completes my exercise routine. For anyone that’s new in buying it I recommend going to a gym first to know what limit weight can be lifted, cause the 10KG will be severe for beginners. The gym users it shouldn’t be a problem, but just to make sure to do arm stretches first & with this purchase there’s no adjustments just simply dumbbells & make sure to help the postman or postwoman in lifting them in to your home

The item were easy to use – with good grip.
Ordered 3kg to start for shoulder and arm workouts. Also ordered 5kg to hold when doing squats/lunges and eventually progress for arms. Unfortunately didn’t receive and still waiting for the refund 2 weeks later. 3kg pair however are good comfortable to use, both the same shape and do weigh 3kg each. Recommend the product just maybe not the seller…

I used this to strengthen the muscles in my right arm and shoulder.
Just the right weight for me to be able to use. Doesnt hurt shoulders or back. It’s great for all kinds of exercises that require the weights.
Slight ridge on the handle but not a huge problem.
This is marvellous in helping me to rehabilitate after a shoulder operation which was to correct an injury.

They are quite soft on the hands and the weight feels weell distributed (unlike traditional dumbbells). They are small and the feel of them means that they won`t slip from your grasp, and the shape means they won`t inadvertently escape if on an uneven surface.

This set of two 1Kg dumbbells is simply packaged in a couple of pieces of foam within a box; no storage pouch but then you probably don’t need one. The weights are covered in a softly textured silicone and are incredibly comfortable to hold without any sharp edges. They provide an easy means by which to add impact to your routine in a very economical way.
The UMI Neoprene Dumbbell Weights are nice and comfortable to grip with their soft touch coating, even with sweaty hands. You can just wipe them down with a damp clothe to clean them too. The different weights are easy to identify by the colour coding which I like though as yet we don’t have the full set, but are hoping to build up to the 8kg weights . Best thing about them though is that they are excellent value. Can’t fault them.

With these weights you can get started building up some tone in your arms ready for summer.
A good starter.
I’ve used weights in the past for strengthening exercises but never anything as beautiful as these Umi dumbbells. The neoprene coating in jewel colours looks amazing, and at the same time makes them very tactile to handle – and very grippy. You won’t drop these easily if your hands get sweaty. Using weights is a great way to build bone density and I am enjoying getting back into exercising with these. Definitely want to get some more – and heavier – ones.
I have used weights like these in the gym in the past and was glad to have some at home, as my arms are getting a bit flabby again. These are great for tightening up before wearing summer tops on holiday, I am 65 this year and no longer wear sleeveless, but am still a bit self conscious about the arms generally. These are so much better than a couple of baked bean tins (not fond of baked beans anyway!). The weigh is just about right; a slight challenge to work, but not so heavy that they are impossible to lift; in fact I might even get another pair, slightly heavier, in time, if and when my arms get used to these.The colour is great, my favourite shade of bright and clear green. The only thing I worried about, was the poor, very petite, post lady who delivered them, fortunately she only had to carry them from her van, parked nearby, but still felt for her.
These weights have a moulded cover which has no defects and which provides a good firm grip. Checked them on the scale and they are accurately weighted. Easy to use, non-slip and wipe clean. These should last a long time and will be used regularly. Recommended.

I have the 4kg version of these dumbbells, and they are a cheerful bright red colour. They arrived very well packaged with foam covering the ends of the dumbbells, keeping them securely in place in the box. They didn’t have the unpleasant smell that some products have which use neoprene or similar – in fact, they have no real smell at all as far as I can see.
They are pleasant to use, with a soft, comfortable coating that doesn’t slip even if your hands are slightly damp. They have the useful feature of octagonal ends which stops them rolling away too far when you put them down, though they will still roll slightly due to the octagon shape not being very pronounced.
Overall I can’t see any flaws in these, though they are currently a little more pricey than some other competitors.
o problem. I’ll just have to try harder. Seriously though, these are well made good quality dumbbells. They’re easy to hold being a good shape with a decent length space for the hand. I have had a set of dumbbells before and I preferred those as the ends weren’t as big so were easier to store but that is the only reason I’m keeping one star back. There’s nothing wrong with these. That issue is only down to personal preference and doesn’t affect the use of them at all.

I got the 3kg weights to review. They are good quality and very handy for exercising at home. I do Pilates but often use weights while doing it to give extra strength to my arms. These are well made with a strong coating. Good value for money.
A great way to brighten up or personalise your work out with these entry level dumbbells. Coated in a neoprene cover, these still provide decent grip, since the neoprene is a rough texture. It’s not uncomfortable, although if you;re doing a chunk of reps, then gloves are the way to go. There is a seam in the neoprene which isn’t noticeable in short workouts, however is more so in longer one, or where the hands are tired from other equipment. Gloves have negated this.
The weights are octagonal, which stops them rolling around, although the angle between each side is quite shallow, so they will roll a short distance if not carefully placed.
Not sure if thee is price establishment at work when I have reviewed these – so certainly check out similar dumbbells before committing. A good set, easy to recommend.
On a bit of a health kick I was glad to be able to try these out. They come in pairs and I have the 2kg versions.
They were nicely packaged and the foam packaging was a good touch.
Obviously you can get cracking straight out of the box. They are comfortable to hold and the coating does live up to the claims that they are non-slip even during a sweaty workout. The shape means they don’t roll away at all.

This is a review of the 2 x 5KG set in blue as other colours and weights are available ranging from 1-10Kg.
They are a neoprene coated dumbbell made from cast iron The coating well finished and they are comfortable to hold and well balanced.
They are flattened off at the top and bottom to reduce the chance of rolling away are are of a one-piece design so additional weights will need to be purchased if you need to change the weight for a different exercise which could get expensive. Overall though this is a good pair of dumbbells that look like they will last a long time.
I got a pair of the 5kg blue ones. I like them a lot. I have other neoprene coated – but they have circular rather than angled edges so these are better. They are cast iron inside and should last forever. One of mine had a run in the coating – which is not so good.

I’ve been using these every day for a week as I think when you start to reach a certain age you need to look after your core strength, these are great, I have enjoyed using them to help my upper body and arms, I’m already feeling the benefit.
We like these dumbbells; they are made from materials that are easy to hold, easy to clean and they do not have any sharp edges to cause too much damage to the floor if accidentally dropped (this of course depends on the weights used, but the 2kg ones we tested are fine).
They are good for toning or to use for training after arm or shoulder injury
They come well packed and they feel like they will last well. The price is not cheap, but we do like the quality and feel of them
These dumbbells are just the thing. They are good looking and bight which is always encouraging. They are light but heavy enough to keep upper body strength up.
The coating on them is easy to grip and protective of the floor if you drop them. They weigh a good bit but the soft coating is a real asset both for the hands and the floor.
I am nearly 80 and do a series , most days of light lifting that keeps the shopping feeling a bit easier to manage and me feeling more flexible in general.
I am great believer in exercise..it is not the apples but the exercise that keeps the Doctor away. These are easy to use and fun. There are many You Tube videos to inspire you.
SO these are great to make your life easier and longer and healthier.. I love them and they are excellent value.

Cons
– Despite the ends not being exactly circular, they do have a tendency to roll away if knocked
– Only okay value for money; I do see some similar and positively reviewed looking alternatives for down to about two-thirds of the current price of these.
– There is a ridge in the neoprene moulding, and if you are using these for an extended session you need to take care with your grip to avoid it rubbing.
If you’re after a fixed set, these aren’t a bad choice, although dumbbells with interchangeable weights are more flexible and better value.
I received the 2kg dumbells.
I use dumbells in the gym and comparing with those, these are excellent. They have a nice, grippy, comfortable surface. They don’t roll away as have flats to prevent this. They are brightly coloured.
The 2kg dumbells are perfect as starter weights, especially for youngsters or ladies. Get the next weight up as soon as the current weight becomes a bit easy – and you’ll be stronger surprisingly quickly. If your muscles ache the next day you’re doing it right, and the muscles are repairing themselves and will be stronger. Give them a rest when you feel this though.
A family member recently had an operation and has been asked to do light physiotherapy exercises, so the set of 2kg dumbbells that I received was perfect.
Delivery was prompt and the dumbbells were very well packaged (as you can see from the photo, where the dumbbell ‘heads’ are both covered in foam).
These are good quality dumbbells. The neoprene coating means that they are easy to grip – they don’t slide out of even a slightly sweaty palm. The neoprene coating also means that there is a bit of cushioning. For example, if you drop a metal dumbbell on a hardwood floor, you could easily dent and leave a permanent mark on your floor. In contrast, these dumbbells land more softly on the floor, protecting your surfaces (and possibly toes).
The only reason I’m not giving these dumbbells a 5-star review is that I can see nothing exceptional about them. These UMI dumbbells are good and I can see them lasting for years and years to come. But there is little to distinguish them from many other sets of neoprene-coated dumbbells.
