Easy to install and all linked before delivery so no set up
I did have to read the instructions and watch the installation video they provide on their Amazon page, so they’re not exactly ‘intuitive’ to set up. But providing you follow the instructions carefully and are prepared to take your time to ensure they’re all linked properly they do exactly what they’re meant to. If you’re capable of setting an old-fashioned digital watch with the “hold button to edit, then press once to set date, press twice to set time, hold again to confirm settings’ kind of thing, you’ll be fine with these.
My wife’s so much happier we have these installed now, and we test them every week to make sure they’re still properly connected and ‘talking’ to each other – which they always are.
Overall, I’d be happy to recommend these to anyone, and if anything went wrong with mine I’d buy them again in a second.
Living in Scotland our Fire Regulations in 2022 now differed from elsewhere in the UK at the time of purchase, the aim being to be fully compliant to Scotland’s unique & new regulations for Scotland even though we had installed the older type of detectors these interlinked detectors were a step up with them all being interlinked & fully compliant to the 2022 changes.
Easy to setup and so far all testing fine which is the reassurance we all need.
Cant yet comment on the battery life as its a 10 year sealed unit with battery, the seller we purchased from was very reassuring and knew Scotland’s regulations differed.
So good our family and friends are buying this model of product as well, you hear the horror stories that others have in error purchased (non-compliant) and so far so good with all purchases of the similar model products which by the way you can add more easily to suit your needs, – you might just start of with the minimum to meet regulations ( detectors can be costly) and buy a few more as funds permit – as the drawback with anything wireless is you have to stick with compatible products that can interlink with each other or need we say are popular brands & in demand as if one detector fails or needs replaced it would be a shame if you can no longer buy a compatible replacement and have to start all over ( false economy) – so the advise is – please do your homework on after sales is a must do factor of this type of product. Our experience with our Amazon seller was 5 star as they are basically a manufacturers outlet selling on Amazon, not all sellers will be the same either, some are here today, gone tomorrow – leaving you looking for self-solutions.
We bought these for our Motorhome, Compound and Bathroom pod whilst working on a campsite. Very easy to install and set up and they are all very audible when one is actioned
This set came already linked, avoiding the usually tricky bit of getting them speaking to each other. Very reasonable price as well, compared to many others.
Only minor gripe is the supplied wall fixings are not right for any ceilings that these are likely to be mounted on. Easily sorted with plasterboard ones, or direct in joists/ dwangs, if you can locate them.
Couldn’t afford to get a new wired system but this gives peace of mind and was easy to set up.
hese arrived quickly, small and light, easy to install with a powered screwdriver, anka claim these are paired at the factory but one of the smoke alarms would not trigger the other 2, fortunately there is a diy video on youtube showing how to pair/unpair these alarms as i couldn’t make head nor tail of the written instructions included, they are plenty loud, so hopefully they will last the 10yr of lifetime claimed, best put in some earplugs when you want to test or pair them lol.
Couldn’t link them so returned them and got a new set next day fitted them linked them no problems easy to fit and get them working in less than a hour.
Bought these as the new law that was brought in, easy to install
