This system is quite easy to install, as long as you know how to drill holes and where to put all the excess cabling. This is the manual part.
Once you have all the cables through the walls all you need to do is plug them into the back of the unit and away you go.
The other steps I’ve done since initial installation are:
1 changing the video output from the default viewing up to hdmi output (because the default output is rubbish) see pic 1
2 getting a replacement manual because I lost the first one!
3 setting up the unit so I could view the cameras on my iPad. For some reason the NVR didn’t want to play ball on this and I had to email support a few times and kept trying their suggestions until I got it working.

5 Investigate how to get audio recorded as well as video. The cameras are supposed to support audio (according to this listing on Amazon) but I can’t find out how to do this in the manual. I guess I’ll have to email support again!
Great to install, really is plug and play.
I decided not to use the cables that came with it and run my own cat 5 and terminate with a great kit I bought from Amazon.
The pre made cables however were useful initially to check where to mount the cameras.
Everything was excellent quality. And so easy to install.
Instructions for the NvR are confusing however there is decent support on the Annke website.
Quality of cameras is not just as good as I’d have expected when you zoom in but is ok.
There is no night vision in colour. I’ve read you have to contact support to resolve this which is a pain. The play a k and functionality of the NVR I’s good. On day one I had to use it to check a non delivery from Royal Mail for an Amazon parcel that said it was delivered and clearly wasn’t!
Overall a great product, better than having annoying batteries die or WiFi drop in the wireless type popular cameras, although some of their images are sharper when zoomed.
Great system for the money. Cameras are big enough to provide a deterrent and work well, first night recorded 1000 events between four which was mostly moths! However you can do amazing things on the NVR to select sensitivity ans smart areas to target together with different detection parameters which would avoid much of the moth event issue!

I bought the Annke CCTV system on a recommendation and I am pleased I did. Great picture quality and bundles of features.
Needs quite a bit of setting up, mainly because it is feature packed. I had a number of requirements, and managed to find them all, including detection areas, masked areas, pre-event recording, record on motion, phone, iPad and pc access and remote control. The standard system does not come with audio as standard, so I have purchased an extra camera with audio.
Special mention for the fantastic Annke Customer support, particularly Sandy. Helped me at every stage with helpful and detailed emails.
If you are looking for peace of mind, reliability, value for money and great back up, look no further.
Easy installation, easy set up and plenty of cable for long camera runs. Was impressed with the picture quality and even the night vision was excellent. Even with the magnification on full the picture was still good.
Good quality cameras. Easy to set up. Power over Ethernet useful so only 1 cable needed per camera. User interface friendly. Night vision colour is only for well lit areas please note. In dark areas its the usual black and white picture as you would expect. Can set up areas ypu wish notion detection to alert you in the camera shot and can set up privacy masks also. All in all good system hopefully never need to rely on it!
Excellent price, superb spec to cost value, easy to configure and the cameras are sharp! NVR interface easy to use and intuitive, and the PoE makes life so much easier to install.

This directly replaced my older system with lower res cameras, I had all wires already sorted so did not use included ones but the cables are very good. So, the system nvr is very, very good. All cameras are plug and play and the picture quality is high class. Night vision is also much better compared to my old poe system. Easy to set up and operate. Most importantly for me I can access the nvr from the app or windows without messing about with the pluggins etc. 2 TB Hdd records over 2 weeks for 4 cameras by the way. I have zero problems with it and its definitely worth the money especially for the cameras which produce very clear image of my street and the garden. All good.

After several hours comparing the different systems on Amazon I decided on this one as it seemed to offer higher spec cameras and larger storage.
I used the app to set up the system using plug and play, this was fairly straightforward and was soon up and running. The app has a greater access to the system operation than I expected. Most setting can be altered via the app. Connection via HDMI to TV or monitor gives a very extensive menu of settings.
Camera clarity is very good during both day and night. HD setting is exceptional. Night vision is very good indeed and the camera quickly adjusts between security light brightness and darkness.
The phone notification setting has many sensitivity settings which work well to limit false notifications. Replay setting remotely from phone is fast and picture quality is very good.
Very pleased with the system and with customer services who needed to be contacted to assist in setting up email notifications.

Got this as in recent times cars have been targeted in our area, as have garages.
Picture is crisp, motion sensor is sensitive so set it low.
Has 2 TB drive and auto records over. Has loads of storage with the compression.
App was easy to load and can sit and watch any notifications…
Overall it’s a good system for domestic use. I find the picture quality is not as good as some other higher end cameras but does give a fairly good image.
Had a few issues with setting up a camera via a switch but after several hours of trying all different settings (not the ones mentioned on the support pages) I finally found the right combination to get it up and running.
The cameras connected direct to the NVDR connected very easily.
Pretty easy to install and set up just need to spend some time ready how to set up the finer details but took 30min and I had it on my phone and monitor.
I had an 8 camera Sannce system before and had two DVR’s which both ended up breaking down and their customer service was dismal so let’s hope annke are better should I need to contact them. The app is a lot easier to use than Sannce too which is helpful.
The product was as it says on the box – easy ti install, simple menus to set it up and was up and running withing a day . However picture quality is not great when you zoom on the picture on your phone and gets very blurred .
The function that lets you adjust what you are covering is really good and flexible which helps with the motion activation – i.e. blocking out trees and bushes that may set the recording off . Night vision definition is good but not great and would be difficult to use to identify culprits .
Good product for the money. Easy to setup, the software is pretty straightforward. Hardest job is running the cables. Picture quality is ok during the day & using night vision. The sensitivity of the motion detection can be altered, I’ve found the setting of 40 works best for me with few false triggers. App works well & the motion detection notifications can be scheduled to what times suit yourself. Adding extra cameras is simple. All in all does a good job for the price.
Simple and easy setup with POE cabling. The Mobile application was easy to download and straightforward to use.

The Only disapointment is that the starlight night vision does not seem to work as i was expecting the image remains black and white

I am still in the install process with 2 cameras on the house, it has been difficult to follow the install instructions about viewing the camera video online. The iPhone app is working but as yet nothing on the PC and I don’t want a monitor on the NVR.
Network cables seem a bit fragile for outside use if they need clipping to a wall.
The video quality and area coverage is good and the cameras look smart on the house. Once I sort out the network side of things I am sure all will be good.
Installed this in January this year and thus far it has been faultless. Great day vision and with some minor tweaks and average light great colour images for the night recording as well. I did struggle a little to start with frame rates but would recommend once setup to connect to each camera individually via the IP address to tweak image settings and frame rate accordingly. Overall very pleased and would at this moment in time buy again and recommend.
I can conclude I’m pretty happy with my purchase! I have a some past (DIY level) experience with IP CCTV but keeping budgets in mind I narrowed down to either Reolink (which has excellent reviews on Amazon and is priced similarly) or this Annke kit, I chose these because:
1) The Reolink cameras come with a 4mm lens, these Annke ones are 2.8mm. There is some reviews stating the Annke description is incorrect or the lens is 3.6mm, but I can confirm the cameras I received are 2.8mm. Picking the right lens is important and you should take your objective into the decision. I specifically wanted 2.8mm for wider FOV as I just wanted to get a general “view” of the area then focus on areas of interest.
2) I read that some of Annke’s products are a Hikvision whitelabel, but not all. These cameras look very much like Hikvision models so decided to take a risk. After firing these up it turns out the management page for the DVR & cameras is indeed identical to Hikvision’s but just with the Annke logo. I guess this places these units on a similar level to Hikvision HiWatch etc. Hikvision stuff is generally well recommended and used by professional installers (albeit higher end models).
The camera housing is plastic, a sturdy metal body would have been nicer but the general build quality is good. Setup was a breeze & image quality is very good for most use cases. Drill templates, wall plugs & screws are included for all cameras.
The NVR is fanless but the included hard drive is slightly on the louder side, so you may want to avoid placing it in a bedroom etc. You could always replace it with another less noisy hard disk or even SSD (for total silence) if it really bothers you.
Camera quality out of the box is good, but I would recommend tweaking the camera video configuration to enable WDR, it makes a huge difference in the image quality (especially under sunlight)
For the price it’s decent value & I’m most hopeful about the fact these are a Hikvision whitelabel, so I’m hoping they continue to serve well over time.
i bought this product because i liked the discription about it . and it dose certainly do what it says on the can as we say day time is crystal clear picture and vision and thenight time vision is absolutly perfect couldnt ask better for my needs dose every and covers every thing i want . so well don annke for a brilliant system . i would recomend this system to any one who wants a good quality system

Bought the 5MP POE bullets. Easy to setup, but also has many advanced features for those tech savvy guys like me. Picture quality is excellent at day and night, im not sure how much clearer the 8MP is compared to these but for the average person these 5MP cameras are perfect. Some info:
– Literally plug and play out the box, remember to note your password for the box as this password will also be needed if you need to access the IP cameras directly (they have their own interface)
– You might want to use better quality cabling as the CAT5 cable included is a little flimsy. I used outdoor CAT6 cable.
– Has email and push notification alerts, this is a deal breaker. I am now notified via email and via the app on my phone if there is motion detected, if video is lost, if video is tampered with (someone covers cameras lens etc) or if someone is trying to login to my receiver. Really really handy
– Colour night-vision is not enabled by default, but can be enabled manually by logging directly into the camera itself
– ANNKE support is fantastic, very quick to reply and they know the product well. Always gave me the correct answer first time round
– Motion detection is not the best. It picks up bugs/moths at night despite setting sensitivity to lowest. I have tried reducing motion detection area too. What this receiver lacks is a “dwell” feature we you can define how many seconds a “motion” is detected. If it had that, it wouldn’t pick up fast moving objects like insect/moths but would pick up intruders/cats etc. Still, not a huge issue, just have to make the best of it.
For the price, it is excellent value. NOTE: This i believe this is re-branded HIKVision equipment so i expect the build quality to be pretty solid and last me. Only had it running a couple weeks so lets see if they stand the test of time. 2 year warranty included by default.
I have rewritten my review on this item, following the customer support provided by ANNKE. After initial installation, I could not get the colour vision at night on these cameras. The Starlight Vision was one of the main selling points for me buying it. After contacting ANNKE, they provided details on how to change the cameras settings on a computer linked to the same network (your home broadband or equivalent). This is not the easiest thing to do if your not a little tech savvy. It also needs to be done via iE as Mac is not yet supported. I had to revert to using an old laptop.
Onto the good points: Customer service is very good, albeit via email. They responded quickly and managed to resolve my issues after several messages back and forth. Installation using POE was easy, and I would recommend you power your camera this way too. The pictures are okay, and the APP works well so you can keep an eye on your property remotely.
The not so good points: You will need to use their website or support to get into the settings of the cameras etc if you are not familiar with these systems, as I wasn’t. The detail in the images is not as high definition and clear as I was expecting. Number plates across the road are not readable, and faces even up close are not as detailed as I expected. The motion detection was sending me so many false alarms, despite me using as small an area and the lowest sensitive settings that I could, that I turned it off.
In summary. Customer service is very good. The system for the money is good, and certainly meets my needs of acting as a deterrent to would-be intruders. Camera vision is adequate, and the app is easy to use. If you are not familiar with logging into the settings on a computer, then you’re gonna need help. However, you do NOT need to do this unless you really want to, and just plug-and-play will be easy enough for majority of people.
Would I recommend ANNKE, and this system? Yes, and Yes!

Customer service again are helpful. Fast and amazing. One of the camera stopped going into night vision. Provided the details and screenshot and they were so great within 2 days a new camera delivered.

Very impressed with easy installation. cameras seem robust and images are excellent.am unable to comment on reliability as only recently installed. This is a really great CCTV system.
Setup was straightforward. Connections are simple (Power to box and cables from box to cameras, optional cable to Internet router). The system is plug-and-play though a bit of IT knowledge would be helpful to understand the IP networking aspects if you want to customize the settings. You can use a VGA monitor and mouse connection to control the box directly so no further network connection required but you won’t be able to use the web or mobile apps without one.
Software seems very stable and easy to use. The built-in app, web interface (for accessing via a PC) and the Annke Vision Android app all work as expected. You can share views from the cameras with other people who also have the mobile app. There is an iOS version but I don’t have an iPhone so can’t comment on the experience there.
Motion detection is very sensitive and I’ve turned it off as am recording 24/7 anyway. You can set up alerts on detection but I feel this results in too much noise to be useful. I can imagine this feature being very good indoors, but I’m using the cameras outside with insects, birds and all other manner of things triggering detections all day, even on the lowest sensitivity.
Will need to see if the weatherproof cameras last. They can be oriented to any position so are very flexible for mounting. They come with a drilling template which was useful.
Lots of helpful information online by Annke. All-in-all, I’m very pleased with this product.

To be used it needs an APP supported by Android, iOS and Windows.

The only problem is you need to bear in mind there a law about CCTVs.
What it says is: A domestic CCTV system needs to be operated in a responsible way that respects the privacy of others. The system should reduce intrusion. It would be nice to inform neighbours about the system or put up a notice informing people that recording is taking place. You must make sure that the information is not used for any other purpose than protecting your property.
Ensure you buy the Annke 4k System with the 8MP cameras if you want 4k videos. Believe me they are worth the extra and the POE makes it really easy with no power supplies to worry about. Annke support is fantastic and so is Smart Home. I would highly recommend both companies and the 4k system with the 8MP cameras. They are superb at night and the colour night vision works well if you have some low light already and this can be activated by logging into each camera where there are loads of settings to adjust including shutter speed etc.

Very difficult to get all the facilities working correctly and can’t get a camera of another make to interface properly although it purports to be on the same system. It kills the system when connected POE so is being used piggybacking the domestic 240V. supply. Otherwise the quality is well up to expectations.
Bought these to replace an older POE system that had got a faulty hard drive.
Asked online through Amazon if these would work with the existing RJ45 cables already installed before buying.
Someone replied saying that they would. Bought, fitted and wouldn’t.
Further investigation uncovered that the cables which came with the older system only had 4 cables instead of 8.
This would have been drastic for me but I had run some spares which had 8 cables which means I can only run 3 cameras instead of 4 without running another cable and since all my cables are buried in the wall then I am more or less stuck.
The system is really good and picture quality is excellent.
Didn’t think the colour at night would work but it does if you have a bit of background light i.e. a street light.
If your using the supplied cables then there shouldn’t be a problem but if like me you want to replace an old system, check your existing cables before buying.

The boxed kit includes everything including templates to drill into for a perfect fit. Cameras are really good, picture is great and the night vision excellent too.
The Annke app is great too for checking in while away from home.
I have had to contact customer services a couple of times during setup and for a minor issue I had. They very quickly resolved all my issues, I have to comment that this is the best customer service experience I have ever had, no question. Very happy with my experience and would recommend to anyone.
Getting a good camera system from many on offer in the market can be sometimes tricky. However, Annke security systems are worth investing in, as they are some of the best available in the market.
The system is quite easy to install as the IPC and NVR are connected with one cable, which supplies both power and video signals. This makes the system amazingly flexible. The system facilitates personal setting and you can easily set it up as per your needs. This system records video automatically, giving you a clear visual display like never seen before; definitely a great advantage.
The systems has great H.265+ video compression technology which save bandwidth for up to 70% thus increasing transmission speed while saving on storage space. This makes the system to take long enough to fill the 2TB HDD, allowing me the freedom to be away for long without the worry of running out of storage space.
The cameras are housed by a durable plastic and strong brackets which are weatherproof which makes the last longer and suitable for outdoor installation.
Amazing video content analysis is a sensational feature. Select specific areas, such as entrance room, I can instantly playback video as soon as these areas are intruded. I finally find everything under my control.
Other advantages of the systems include recording of clear images at 4k, which allow me to see most of the details, powerful night vision that enables clear visual at night and advanced playback mode which allows you go back to any scene without interfering with other channels. More interesting the colour night mode is very useful.
The system comes with everything I needed for installation; I just had to drill the holes and to install cameras.
The NVR is capable of 8 channels, I have used 4 with the cameras included and I added another 2 wifi IP cameras from different vendors. The NVR is compatible with ONVIF cameras and accommodate easily the other IP cameras.
I am using the mobile app that is very handy, works flawless from 4G connections. I still need to tweak the alarms as I am receiving many notifications, but in time, I will adjust to receive only important notifications.
Per total, I am very, very happy with this system.

1. SELLER. delivery was on time and well packaged. Had an issue with one of the cameras after installation. contacted customer services and WOW !! extreamlly efficient at replying to e-mail. first email was to correct the issue i had and then a follow up e-mail to ensure all was good. if only other companies and utilities would have a customer service like this i would be extreamly happy and have a problem free life.
2. ITEM. camera kit was a breeze to install and set-up. true plug and play. The 30mtr and 25mtr cables supplied were sufficient for what i needed. however it would have been better if the cables came on a reel instead of folded. Everything you need is in the box, Nvr cameras, all cables and connectors, software and easy to follow instructions. I would recommend both the Seller and Item for purchase.

Everything worked right out the box, easy set-up, software is “ok” but for me confusing and mixed I still can’t get it just to record movement but with the large hard drive it’s not an issue. I was disappointed with the 4k claim as it’s 4k but at low frame rates, personally I would prefer 1080p at a decent frame rate, so thats what I set it too.

Researched a few high end CCTV systems costing a lot more than this Annke system, the Annke had as good or better camera M/pixels and higher quality NVR recording.
Decided to purchase and installation was simple Plug & Play with POE system, very happy with quality of product and picture quality excellent.
Had one issue, picture on monitor flickering, however found it was a faulty HDMI cable, I had already contacted Annke help to see if they could help, they responded quickly and once the problem was found, offered to replace or refund the HDMI cable.

Picture quality is excellent. Only using for short distance recording and it’s night vision is fine. Easy to setup. 2gb drive records over 2 weeks for me. Very pleased.

Needs quite a bit of setting up, mainly because it is feature packed. I had a number of requirements, and managed to find them all, including detection areas, masked areas, pre-event recording, record on motion, phone, iPad and pc access and remote control. The standard system does not come with audio as standard, so I have purchased an extra camera with audio.
Special mention for the fantastic Annke Customer support, particularly Sandy. Helped me at every stage with helpful and detailed emails.
If you are looking for peace of mind, reliability, value for money and great back up, look no further.
Easy installation, easy set up and plenty of cable for long camera runs. Was impressed with the picture quality and even the night vision was excellent. Even with the magnification on full the picture was still good.
Good quality cameras. Easy to set up. Power over Ethernet useful so only 1 cable needed per camera. User interface friendly. Night vision colour is only for well lit areas please note. In dark areas its the usual black and white picture as you would expect. Can set up areas ypu wish notion detection to alert you in the camera shot and can set up privacy masks also. All in all good system hopefully never need to rely on it!

This directly replaced my older system with lower res cameras, I had all wires already sorted so did not use included ones but the cables are very good. So, the system nvr is very, very good. All cameras are plug and play and the picture quality is high class. Night vision is also much better compared to my old poe system. Easy to set up and operate. Most importantly for me I can access the nvr from the app or windows without messing about with the pluggins etc. 2 TB Hdd records over 2 weeks for 4 cameras by the way. I have zero problems with it and its definitely worth the money especially for the cameras which produce very clear image of my street and the garden. All good.

After several hours comparing the different systems on Amazon I decided on this one as it seemed to offer higher spec cameras and larger storage.
I used the app to set up the system using plug and play, this was fairly straightforward and was soon up and running. The app has a greater access to the system operation than I expected. Most setting can be altered via the app. Connection via HDMI to TV or monitor gives a very extensive menu of settings.
Camera clarity is very good during both day and night. HD setting is exceptional. Night vision is very good indeed and the camera quickly adjusts between security light brightness and darkness.
The phone notification setting has many sensitivity settings which work well to limit false notifications. Replay setting remotely from phone is fast and picture quality is very good.
Very pleased with the system and with customer services who needed to be contacted to assist in setting up email notifications.

Got this as in recent times cars have been targeted in our area, as have garages.
Picture is crisp, motion sensor is sensitive so set it low.
Has 2 TB drive and auto records over. Has loads of storage with the compression.
App was easy to load and can sit and watch any notifications…
Overall it’s a good system for domestic use. I find the picture quality is not as good as some other higher end cameras but does give a fairly good image.
Had a few issues with setting up a camera via a switch but after several hours of trying all different settings (not the ones mentioned on the support pages) I finally found the right combination to get it up and running.
The cameras connected direct to the NVDR connected very easily.
Pretty easy to install and set up just need to spend some time ready how to set up the finer details but took 30min and I had it on my phone and monitor.
I had an 8 camera Sannce system before and had two DVR’s which both ended up breaking down and their customer service was dismal so let’s hope annke are better should I need to contact them. The app is a lot easier to use than Sannce too which is helpful.
The product was as it says on the box – easy ti install, simple menus to set it up and was up and running withing a day . However picture quality is not great when you zoom on the picture on your phone and gets very blurred .
The function that lets you adjust what you are covering is really good and flexible which helps with the motion activation – i.e. blocking out trees and bushes that may set the recording off . Night vision definition is good but not great and would be difficult to use to identify culprits .
Good product for the money. Easy to setup, the software is pretty straightforward. Hardest job is running the cables. Picture quality is ok during the day & using night vision. The sensitivity of the motion detection can be altered, I’ve found the setting of 40 works best for me with few false triggers. App works well & the motion detection notifications can be scheduled to what times suit yourself. Adding extra cameras is simple. All in all does a good job for the price.
Simple and easy setup with POE cabling. The Mobile application was easy to download and straightforward to use.
Picture quality is excellent as the cameras are rated at 5 Mega Pixel.
The Only disapointment is that the starlight night vision does not seem to work as i was expecting the image remains black and white

I am still in the install process with 2 cameras on the house, it has been difficult to follow the install instructions about viewing the camera video online. The iPhone app is working but as yet nothing on the PC and I don’t want a monitor on the NVR.
Network cables seem a bit fragile for outside use if they need clipping to a wall.
The video quality and area coverage is good and the cameras look smart on the house. Once I sort out the network side of things I am sure all will be good.

Installed this in January this year and thus far it has been faultless. Great day vision and with some minor tweaks and average light great colour images for the night recording as well. I did struggle a little to start with frame rates but would recommend once setup to connect to each camera individually via the IP address to tweak image settings and frame rate accordingly. Overall very pleased and would at this moment in time buy again and recommend.
I can conclude I’m pretty happy with my purchase! I have a some past (DIY level) experience with IP CCTV but keeping budgets in mind I narrowed down to either Reolink (which has excellent reviews on Amazon and is priced similarly) or this Annke kit, I chose these because:
1) The Reolink cameras come with a 4mm lens, these Annke ones are 2.8mm. There is some reviews stating the Annke description is incorrect or the lens is 3.6mm, but I can confirm the cameras I received are 2.8mm. Picking the right lens is important and you should take your objective into the decision. I specifically wanted 2.8mm for wider FOV as I just wanted to get a general “view” of the area then focus on areas of interest.
2) I read that some of Annke’s products are a Hikvision whitelabel, but not all. These cameras look very much like Hikvision models so decided to take a risk. After firing these up it turns out the management page for the DVR & cameras is indeed identical to Hikvision’s but just with the Annke logo. I guess this places these units on a similar level to Hikvision HiWatch etc. Hikvision stuff is generally well recommended and used by professional installers (albeit higher end models).
The camera housing is plastic, a sturdy metal body would have been nicer but the general build quality is good. Setup was a breeze & image quality is very good for most use cases. Drill templates, wall plugs & screws are included for all cameras.
The NVR is fanless but the included hard drive is slightly on the louder side, so you may want to avoid placing it in a bedroom etc. You could always replace it with another less noisy hard disk or even SSD (for total silence) if it really bothers you.
Camera quality out of the box is good, but I would recommend tweaking the camera video configuration to enable WDR, it makes a huge difference in the image quality (especially under sunlight)
For the price it’s decent value & I’m most hopeful about the fact these are a Hikvision whitelabel, so I’m hoping they continue to serve well over time.
i bought this product because i liked the discription about it . and it dose certainly do what it says on the can as we say day time is crystal clear picture and vision and thenight time vision is absolutly perfect couldnt ask better for my needs dose every and covers every thing i want . so well don annke for a brilliant system . i would recomend this system to any one who wants a good quality system
Bought the 5MP POE bullets. Easy to setup, but also has many advanced features for those tech savvy guys like me. Picture quality is excellent at day and night, im not sure how much clearer the 8MP is compared to these but for the average person these 5MP cameras are perfect. Some info:
– Literally plug and play out the box, remember to note your password for the box as this password will also be needed if you need to access the IP cameras directly (they have their own interface)
– You might want to use better quality cabling as the CAT5 cable included is a little flimsy. I used outdoor CAT6 cable.
– Has email and push notification alerts, this is a deal breaker. I am now notified via email and via the app on my phone if there is motion detected, if video is lost, if video is tampered with (someone covers cameras lens etc) or if someone is trying to login to my receiver. Really really handy
– Colour night-vision is not enabled by default, but can be enabled manually by logging directly into the camera itself
– ANNKE support is fantastic, very quick to reply and they know the product well. Always gave me the correct answer first time round
– Motion detection is not the best. It picks up bugs/moths at night despite setting sensitivity to lowest. I have tried reducing motion detection area too. What this receiver lacks is a “dwell” feature we you can define how many seconds a “motion” is detected. If it had that, it wouldn’t pick up fast moving objects like insect/moths but would pick up intruders/cats etc. Still, not a huge issue, just have to make the best of it.
For the price, it is excellent value. NOTE: This i believe this is re-branded HIKVision equipment so i expect the build quality to be pretty solid and last me. Only had it running a couple weeks so lets see if they stand the test of time. 2 year warranty included by default.
I have rewritten my review on this item, following the customer support provided by ANNKE. After initial installation, I could not get the colour vision at night on these cameras. The Starlight Vision was one of the main selling points for me buying it. After contacting ANNKE, they provided details on how to change the cameras settings on a computer linked to the same network (your home broadband or equivalent). This is not the easiest thing to do if your not a little tech savvy. It also needs to be done via iE as Mac is not yet supported. I had to revert to using an old laptop.
Onto the good points: Customer service is very good, albeit via email. They responded quickly and managed to resolve my issues after several messages back and forth. Installation using POE was easy, and I would recommend you power your camera this way too. The pictures are okay, and the APP works well so you can keep an eye on your property remotely.
The not so good points: You will need to use their website or support to get into the settings of the cameras etc if you are not familiar with these systems, as I wasn’t. The detail in the images is not as high definition and clear as I was expecting. Number plates across the road are not readable, and faces even up close are not as detailed as I expected. The motion detection was sending me so many false alarms, despite me using as small an area and the lowest sensitive settings that I could, that I turned it off.
In summary. Customer service is very good. The system for the money is good, and certainly meets my needs of acting as a deterrent to would-be intruders. Camera vision is adequate, and the app is easy to use. If you are not familiar with logging into the settings on a computer, then you’re gonna need help. However, you do NOT need to do this unless you really want to, and just plug-and-play will be easy enough for majority of people.
Would I recommend ANNKE, and this system? Yes, and Yes!

Very impressed with easy installation. cameras seem robust and images are excellent.am unable to comment on reliability as only recently installed. This is a really great CCTV system.
Setup was straightforward. Connections are simple (Power to box and cables from box to cameras, optional cable to Internet router). The system is plug-and-play though a bit of IT knowledge would be helpful to understand the IP networking aspects if you want to customize the settings. You can use a VGA monitor and mouse connection to control the box directly so no further network connection required but you won’t be able to use the web or mobile apps without one.
Software seems very stable and easy to use. The built-in app, web interface (for accessing via a PC) and the Annke Vision Android app all work as expected. You can share views from the cameras with other people who also have the mobile app. There is an iOS version but I don’t have an iPhone so can’t comment on the experience there.
Motion detection is very sensitive and I’ve turned it off as am recording 24/7 anyway. You can set up alerts on detection but I feel this results in too much noise to be useful. I can imagine this feature being very good indoors, but I’m using the cameras outside with insects, birds and all other manner of things triggering detections all day, even on the lowest sensitivity.
Will need to see if the weatherproof cameras last. They can be oriented to any position so are very flexible for mounting. They come with a drilling template which was useful.
Lots of helpful information online by Annke. All-in-all, I’m very pleased with this product.

The only problem is you need to bear in mind there a law about CCTVs.
What it says is: A domestic CCTV system needs to be operated in a responsible way that respects the privacy of others. The system should reduce intrusion. It would be nice to inform neighbours about the system or put up a notice informing people that recording is taking place. You must make sure that the information is not used for any other purpose than protecting your property.
Ensure you buy the Annke 4k System with the 8MP cameras if you want 4k videos. Believe me they are worth the extra and the POE makes it really easy with no power supplies to worry about. Annke support is fantastic and so is Smart Home. I would highly recommend both companies and the 4k system with the 8MP cameras. They are superb at night and the colour night vision works well if you have some low light already and this can be activated by logging into each camera where there are loads of settings to adjust including shutter speed etc.
Very difficult to get all the facilities working correctly and can’t get a camera of another make to interface properly although it purports to be on the same system. It kills the system when connected POE so is being used piggybacking the domestic 240V. supply. Otherwise the quality is well up to expectations.
Asked online through Amazon if these would work with the existing RJ45 cables already installed before buying.
Someone replied saying that they would. Bought, fitted and wouldn’t.
Further investigation uncovered that the cables which came with the older system only had 4 cables instead of 8.
This would have been drastic for me but I had run some spares which had 8 cables which means I can only run 3 cameras instead of 4 without running another cable and since all my cables are buried in the wall then I am more or less stuck.
The system is really good and picture quality is excellent.
Didn’t think the colour at night would work but it does if you have a bit of background light i.e. a street light.
If your using the supplied cables then there shouldn’t be a problem but if like me you want to replace an old system, check your existing cables before buying.

I have had to contact customer services a couple of times during setup and for a minor issue I had. They very quickly resolved all my issues, I have to comment that this is the best customer service experience I have ever had, no question. Very happy with my experience and would recommend to anyone.
The system is quite easy to install as the IPC and NVR are connected with one cable, which supplies both power and video signals. This makes the system amazingly flexible. The system facilitates personal setting and you can easily set it up as per your needs. This system records video automatically, giving you a clear visual display like never seen before; definitely a great advantage.
The systems has great H.265+ video compression technology which save bandwidth for up to 70% thus increasing transmission speed while saving on storage space. This makes the system to take long enough to fill the 2TB HDD, allowing me the freedom to be away for long without the worry of running out of storage space.
The cameras are housed by a durable plastic and strong brackets which are weatherproof which makes the last longer and suitable for outdoor installation.
Amazing video content analysis is a sensational feature. Select specific areas, such as entrance room, I can instantly playback video as soon as these areas are intruded. I finally find everything under my control.
Other advantages of the systems include recording of clear images at 4k, which allow me to see most of the details, powerful night vision that enables clear visual at night and advanced playback mode which allows you go back to any scene without interfering with other channels. More interesting the colour night mode is very useful.
The system comes with everything I needed for installation; I just had to drill the holes and to install cameras.
The NVR is capable of 8 channels, I have used 4 with the cameras included and I added another 2 wifi IP cameras from different vendors. The NVR is compatible with ONVIF cameras and accommodate easily the other IP cameras.
I am using the mobile app that is very handy, works flawless from 4G connections. I still need to tweak the alarms as I am receiving many notifications, but in time, I will adjust to receive only important notifications.
Per total, I am very, very happy with this system.
1. SELLER. delivery was on time and well packaged. Had an issue with one of the cameras after installation. contacted customer services and WOW !! extreamlly efficient at replying to e-mail. first email was to correct the issue i had and then a follow up e-mail to ensure all was good. if only other companies and utilities would have a customer service like this i would be extreamly happy and have a problem free life.
2. ITEM. camera kit was a breeze to install and set-up. true plug and play. The 30mtr and 25mtr cables supplied were sufficient for what i needed. however it would have been better if the cables came on a reel instead of folded. Everything you need is in the box, Nvr cameras, all cables and connectors, software and easy to follow instructions. I would recommend both the Seller and Item for purchase.

Installed this a few days ago gotta say I was initially disappointed .
Since playing with the settings everything is crystal clear before I couldn’t even read the number plates now it’s true 4K.
It also helped that I have a monitor which at least picks up 1080p .
Must say I am impressed now the glare today of writing this isn’t as bad but I’ll monitor it.
You do have to fiddle a little with settings but and tick the box of 2.64+ and hey presto !

Decided to purchase and installation was simple Plug & Play with POE system, very happy with quality of product and picture quality excellent.
Had one issue, picture on monitor flickering, however found it was a faulty HDMI cable, I had already contacted Annke help to see if they could help, they responded quickly and once the problem was found, offered to replace or refund the HDMI cable.
