Bought to replace old Arlo pro cameras, easy to change over as they use the same type of mount. This was sold at a price I’d never seen before or since, field of view much better than previous cameras and night vision in colour is superb
Will not allow 4K SSD recording if buy 2K cloud by package. Everything defaults to 2K from 4K
Will not allow 4K Local SSD recording if buy 2K cloud package. Everything reduces to 2K even though 4K worked before subscribing. Other than this rip off they are good cameras.
Beware - granted access users cannot view local storage recordings
The ARLO cameras is good with cloud storage recordings. However, granted access users cannot view the local storage recordings. A big drawback in the features.
Added 2 More Camera
I added 2 further camera to my Arlo Ultra home security system. I now have an 8 camera system. I had to upgrade my subscription but the new subscription is actually better than what I had before. Very happy with my purchase.

So far so good. Images are clear. Set up is easy. Installation was easy. Settings via app are easy to use. Only had them a few weeks so too early to recommend . So far I am pleased

Ich habe drei Auen Kameras ber den Router installiert. Bild, Ton, Handhabung alles super. Allerdings halten die Accus nicht annhernd so lange wie beschrieben. Das ist ein Manko. Je nach Frequenz muss ich schon nach 3-4 Wochen aufladen. Da das an der Auenwand sehr umstndlich ist lade ich jetzt mit einer Powerbank die ich so lange mit einer Schnur ber die Camara hnge.

This is an amazing bit of kit… very expensive but they do a fantastic job.
The only down side is after 12 months you can subscribe to keep recordings going as if you don’t you loose the recordings!… I just run them on notifications.

Great picture quality both daytime and night time. Very easy to install and set up, we definitely recommend this system.
Works well pick up movement easily
Only problem so far is I had to cut climbing plant to prevent false triggers. When will the base station have the memory card use.
The motion detection and object/person detection works well. The setup was very straightforward. The main thing to consider is where the cameras are mounted as the mountings are designed to make the cameras easy to remove for charging. If you mount them somewhere that is easy to reach, without a ladder or similar, they may be stolen/thrown away by someone.

The quality of the recordings are very good, but then they should be considering the enormous price of the equipment. The Cloud storage also appears to work well and the one year free subscription well appreciated given the overall expense! The brackets for mounting are good especially the magnetic one, providing it is well out of reach. Not too many problems with syncing cameras so far which is good because you have to go via the USA to get any support and then you are redirected to ‘Europe’ days later! Considering the price of the equipment you would think there would be stand alone charging dock. Unfortunately you only get a short USB charge lead and plug which means you have to remove the unit from its position to remove the battery from each unit to charge them or buy a 16 foot cable like I did. Even if you buy a spare battery you are not provided with the charger to charge it! Again had to purchase separately. Each additional camera is 180 and each additional battery is 40 so it soon adds up to being very expensive!

We upgraded our previous Arlo camera with this one and weren’t disappointed. It’s fantastic with outstanding sound and picture quality.
It identifies whether person, animal, vehicle or package so there is option to cancel notifications for any of these. We live on farm so cancelled animal alerts!
If you are alerted, you can link straight to camera via smartphone app and watch and listen to everything with the option to speak via camera, set off alarm or call a friend.
We added our old camera to the new system easily so now have both in action.
A great investment and highly recommended.

Die Kameras sind robust und stabil. Die Akkus halten nicht so lange, wie erwartet.
Gutes und brauchbares System
System war einfach einzurichten und sofort einsatzbereit. Die Akkus haben eine lange Laufzeit. Die Bildqualitt tagsber ist sehr gut – nachts mit Infrarot-Licht nur schwarz-wei, aber auch gut.
Der Preis ist recht hoch.
Guardedly Good (pun intended)
Lovely bit of kit but it should be for the price. Simple to set up, connect to internet & start using. However 4 stars cos battery for camera on front of the house lasts 2-3 days before needing a charge. I am close to a high street & despite my playing repeatedly with the motion areas it picks up everything. I have to turn it off during the day for the battery to last a week. Rear camera still going strong on first charge a month or so later. Picture quality, detection etc all brilliant but front camera battery life is a source of frustration.

Top quality footage. Colour night-time video. Reliable recording to cloud. Can simultaneously record to a SD card in hub. Library files are easy to download. Mobile and PC apps. Plenty of custom settings. Additional cameras can be added later. Alexa compatible (not tested yet; waiting for release of the new Show 10). One year Arlo Smart subscription included.
1920 frame width, 4K HD. Choice of full, wide and super-wide angles of view. Battery saver options. Spotlight and sound sliders etc. Activity zones can be made. There are triggering options for people, vehicles, animals etc. SD card files can be viewed on the phone app. Accessories available. A Pro 3 floodlight can be paired to the hub.
I’ve found these to be very reliable, even picking up a blue tit entering a nestbox on the same post. They’ll comfortably capture traffic up and down a garden in short clips of varying lengths. You can view each camera’s live-feed, manually take pictures, turn on the spotlight, intercom and siren. You can watch live-feed and record to the cloud in 4K but not record locally in that resolution.
What’s not so good is that 4K and continuous recording is not available with the included Smart trial (service bundles do vary). Both incur extra expense as upgrades. Without a plan you can stIll live stream and get notifications.
With just moderate traffic the batteries drain way faster than expected. I now use the outdoor cable and solar panel for charging. And the panels fail to charge sufficiently in a UK winter with moderate traffic.
Useful accessories like the long outdoor power supply cable are add ons. Only a short indoor charging cable is included.
The hub range is not as good as expected even with a Wi-Fi range extender. “Ultra 2” is now out in the US, and that promises better range together with dual band compatibility. Make sure to check which model you’re getting!
There still seems to be some quirks with the software. The mobile app will sometimes report that it can’t log you in because you’re not online but cameras will still be recording to the cloud. You can add friends to your account but you’ll find it won’t remember your PC as a trusted device for a quick login.
All in all though; a state-of-the-art wireless camera system but with the vagaries that come with such devices. Probably not for those who aren’t inclined to be tech-savvy and want something low maintenance.

Die Akkulaufzeit ist zwar etwas krzer als angegeben, aber absolut im Rahmen. Ich habe die beiden Kameras nach 6. Monaten einmal abnehmen mssen um nachzuladen und selbst jetzt bei nchtlichen -20Grad hlt der Akuu super durch.
Questionable value
Image quality is ok but not able to read car number plates at any useful distance, just about making out detail in my own cars on the driveway.
Battery life isn’t great, I seem to be up an down the ladder changing batteries more than I thought I would.
I bought the optional solar panels and I guess I don’t live close enough to the sun as they have made zero difference.
All in all it’s a good system, easy to set up and mostly good but with these issues I’d have gone for something cheaper in hindsight.

Bought this at a really good price which went up significantly 24 hours later. The cameras were easy to mount and set up. Night vision is OK but not brilliant. Easy to set up with the Alexa app so I get a alert on my echo dot and on my Fire HD8 when motion is detected. I can also request to see the live feed by asking Alexa

I upgraded to include the Ultra cameras with my previous Arlo cameras and the Ultra cameras have proven to be more responsive to movement and give a good clear picture, very pleased with them so far.

Die deutsche Gebrauchsanweisung ist eine Zumutung fr ein Gert, welches schon lnger auf dem deutschen Markt angeboten wird. Ein so schlechtes und oft berhaupt nicht verstndliches deutsch bin ich nicht einmal von chinesischen Gebrauchsanweisungen gewohnt! Es liest sich so, als wenn hier das billigste bersetzungsprogramm zum Einsatz gekommen ist! Fr ein derart teures Produkt ein Armutszeugnis!

Alimentation secteur HS en 2 mois d’utilisatio
Bon produit facile d’installation mais un peu difficile paramtrer (alerte, dfinition des zones de surveillances). Petit problme sur le bloc d’alimentation qui au bout de 2 mois ne fonctionne plus suite un faux contact. Bloc d’alimentation qui a t chang sous garantie par un bloc de nouvelle gnration mieux construit pour viter les faux contacts (Arlo devait tre au courant de ce dfaut pour modifier le bloc sur les nouveaux produits). Trs bon SAV Amazon pour la prise en charge de cette avarie.
Facile de reprise avec les anciennes caméras
J’ai des cameras Arlo pro 2 je suis pass Arlo 4k et je ne le regrette pas. La prise en charge des anciennes cameras c’est passe sans aucune difficult. La vision nocturne est de qualit. Pour l’extrieur il faut quand mme prvoir le chargeur solaire surtout lorsqu’il y a beaucoup de sollicitation.
Kann dieses Produkt uneingeschrnkt empfehlen. Die Installation ging sehr einfach (eine Installationsanleitung fehlt allerdings- da sollte man dann besser ein YouTube-Video bemhen), alles funktioniert auf Anhieb. Die Magnethalterung der Kamera ist extrem praktisch, da die Kamera zum Aufladen des Akkus leicht entfernt werden kann. ber die Arlo-App lt sich- einmal installiert- alles steuern. Einzig das Scharfmachen der Sirene schaltet sich von selbst nach 10 Minuten wieder ab, wobei diese wegen der doch sehr eingeschrnkten Abschreckung ohnehin verzichtbar erscheint. Bild- und Tonqualitt der Kamera sind tadellos. Kaufempfehlung

Bei hoch hngenden Kameras werden kleine Objekt – wie bei mir im Garten – langsame Igel auf dem Rasen – nicht erkannt.
P.S. 6.12.2020 – Basis ausgefallen + 1 Akku defekt – alles zum gleichen Zeitpunkt ? – per Gewhreistung Austausch – war innerhalb eines Tages da – nun luft wieder alles 🙂

Super Qualität!
Die Kameras reagieren sehr zuverlssig auf Bewegungen und haben eine hervorragende Bildqualitt, selbst bei schlechten Lichtverhltnissen.
Verarbeitung, Einrichtung und Aufzeichnungen funktionieren tadellos.
Bewegung wird zuverlssig erkannt, auch ber eine groe Distanz im Dunkeln. Ich nutze die klassische Infrarot Nachtsicht und bin damit schon sehr zufrieden. Es wird sehr hell und klar ausgeleuchtet, dadurch erkennt man die Person nicht nur im Umriss, sondern auch das Gesicht. Die Farbnachtsicht ist auch eine schne Sache und funktioniert genau so gut, mir reicht allerdings wie schon erwhnt die Infrarot Nachtsicht.
Nur die Akkulaufzeit knnte besser sein. Ich muss, bei zugegeben schon etwas mehr Bewegungsaufzeichnungen, die Ultra ca. alle 7-10 Tage laden. Jetzt habe ich ein Solarpanel angeschlossen und bin nun auch damit zufrieden.
Die Smart Benachrichtigungen sind eine schne Sache z.B. nur ber Personen und Autos etc. benachrichtigt zu werden ist schon genial, wenn man die Kamera an einer viel befahrenen Strae aufgestellt hat. Auch eine Paketerkennung ist mglich.
Ich kann eigentlich nichts negatives ber die Arlo Ultra sagen, auer dass der Preis schon echt happig ist! Ich besitze noch eine Arlo Video Doorbell und eine Pro 2, aber die Bildqualitt der Ultra ist da schon deutlich besser. Im Vergleich zur Pro 3 sieht das schon anders aus. Der Preisunterschied ist da nicht so sehr gerechtfertigt meiner Meinung nach.
Trotz des hohen Preises bin ich zufrieden, weil das System einfach stimmig ist, Video Doorbell, Pro 2 und Ultra arbeiten wunderbar zusammen und deshalb empfehle ich Arlo gerne weiter.
Von mir eine Kaufempfehlung mit der Einschrnkung sich mal die Pro 3 anzuschauen, ob die nicht evtl. auch ausreicht.

Der Empfang ist sehr gut.Die Verzgerung gering.Vor allem Nachts ein Hammer scharfes und helles bild.Der kleine LED Strahler ist ein kleines wunder wie hell der ausleuchtet.Der TON ist aber das berwltigendste. Selbst die Leute die 10 m um die ecke im garten normal miteinander reden sind noch sauber zu verstehen.

Buenas cámaras !
Antes de comprar estas ya usaba las Arlo Pro 2, y estaba bastante contento, pero cuando vi que estas tenian 4K pues ni lo dud, y la experiencia ha sido muy buena, la estacion base es mas pequea que el modelo anterior y la calidad de imagen de las cmaras es impecable aunque con una muy buena iluminacin. La nica pega que le pondra, a parte del precio (que son bastante cariosas), es que cuando hay poca luz esta calidad baja considerablemente aunque luego que entra en modo nocturno, pues vuelve a mejorar. Me ha gustado que la sirena (alarma), va integrada a la mismas cmaras y no en la estacion como en los modelos anteriores. A modo general estoy bastante contento con el cambio y tengo pendiente comprar 2 unidades mas que me hacen falta para algunos puntos de la casa. Producto recomendado !!!

Etwas enttäusch
Ich habe ein Gert erwartet, was gestochen scharfe Bilder macht, Personenerkennung und eine Akkuleistung mindestens von 3 Monaten hat und jetzt bin ich etwas enttuscht. Bilder die man via App angezeigt bekommt, kommen mit Verzgerung und bestimmt sind das keine 4K Bilder. Man kann auf denen die Gesichter gar nicht oder schwer erkennen so verwischen ist das Bild. Personenerkennung habe ich mir anders vorgestellt- dass man Gesichter zuordnen kann und in den Push Nachrichten das Gesicht angezeigt wird. Was die Akkuleistung betrifft – ich glaub nicht dass die 3-4 Monate hlt, wenn die schon 15% nach 5 Tagen Betrieb verloren hat. Die Inbetriebnahme war sehr einfach, auch wenn man von Technik kein Verstndnis hat, schafft Man die Installation kinderleicht.Wenn ich die bemngelten Punkte nicht in Griff bekomme, muss die leider nach einer Woche zurckgeschickt werden.
Zuverlässiges, hochauflösendes Kamerasystem mit erstklassiger Ausstattung
Alles lie sich kinderleicht installieren. Innerhalb krzester Zeit waren alle 3 Kameras angebracht und lieferten gestochen scharfe Bilder sowohl am Tage wie auch bei Nacht. Die komplette Ausstattung ist absolut hochwertig. Klar ist die Arlo Ultra nicht gerade gnstig, aber fr solide, ausgereifte und zuverlssige Technik sollte man schon bereit sein den ein oder anderen Euro mehr zu zahlen. Auch mit Alexa ist das System absolut kompatibel. Die Einbindung ist vllig unproblematisch. Insgesamt bin ich vom Arlo Ultra System begeistert, kann es ohne Einschrnkungen zu 100% empfehlen.

Upgraded from Pro2 – happy I did that, the new Ultra cameras seem to have more battery life and the night vision lamp that comes on is very useful security feature if camera is in an area that doesn’t have lighting. Still wasn’t blown away by 4K resolution, the difference compared to Pro2 appears minimal to me. Generally I like these cameras as they are simple to setup and use.

Gutes System - geringe Wifi Reichweite
Das Kamerasystem ist wirklich gut, insbesondere da es mit Akkus funktioniert und daher auch unabhngig von vorhandenen Stromanschlssen ist. Leider ist aber die Wifi Reichweite so gering, dass die Kameras relativ nah an der Arlo Basisstation platziert werden mssen.

Superb quality camera system with very slick and professional setup. PROS: Brilliant build quality, fantastic image quality, night vision is superb and the LED spotlight a great asset, easy to use and versatile app.
CONS: Expensive, slow to track detected objects but that feature is otherwise remarkable, battery life is pitiful, not a massive problem if, as I did, the user has a spare battery for each camera and external chargers and is not adverse to swapping batteries every couple of weeks, that’s no great issue to me and I’ll probably add the magnetic cables at some point.
As a user of earlier systems (a 2 camera HD set, supplemented with 3 Pros) I was well used to the systems and set-ups, the plus points and foibles so was never phased by the occasional reluctance of one camera to sometimes take a bit of tweaking to synchronise after a battery switch but setting up this new Ultra system almost lead to me returning them.
This is something that is not made obvious in the manual or on the Arlo site, if you have the old style Smart Premier subscription it must be cancelled before activating the Arlo Ultra as the one year Smart Subscription supplied with these cameras cannot overlap. As the system registers itself and there is no barcode scanning, you will not see the cameras in your Account until they activate.
I had the cameras over a week before I opened the pack as my questions to Arlo went unanswered and I found no relevant help on their support pages, the Live Chat was unavailable on weekends as was phone contact. I eventually had helpful advice on Live Chat asnd was confident all would work once Imhad cancelled my subscription and organised a refund.
However my system failed to link to the app for nearly a week despite constant attempts, I fired off support emails via the site and received immediate replies advising me I’d be contacted within 24 hours, didn’t always happen. I finally had a lengthy phone support but as I had tried everything as suggested in the manual and online we went through the same conventions over and again without success.
The Agent suggested my WiFi was connecting to my Arlo Smart Hub at 2.4G and the iPad and iPhone at 5G. Turning one off at at the on the router and Powerlines had no effect.
Then Imdiscovered my wife’s old er 6S iPhone was connected to our network by WiFi whereas all our others were on Ethernet (presumably through the Powerlines on 5G. I used her mobile and lo and Behold it all left intio life and showed up on every device.
In summary check your WiFi transmissions first!
Un gioiello di tecnologia con molte funzioni e qualche limite
Ottimo sistema di video sorveglianza se installato in prossimit di portoni di ingresso, cancelli ecc. Io avevo necessit di montare le telecamere in alto, sotto il tetto e in questi casi la qualit delle immagini non permette di identificare le persone o leggere le targhe degli autoveicoli. Quindi ho dovuto restituirlo.

Die Einrichtung war sehr einfach mit der guten App. Die Auflsung ist sehr gut. Der Bewegungsmelder reagiert leider nur auf grere Objekte (Kopf aus dem Fenster strecken reicht nicht) so das z.B. keine Vogelbeobachtung mglich ist. Eine skalierbare Empfindlichkeit wre super. Und grter Nachteil: Nicht mit Apple Secure Video nutzbar.

Gut durchdacht im Grunde . Die wlan Reichweite sollte vergrert werden und die Schnelligkeit der Meldungen dazu. Aber grundstzlich ein gutes System !
Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung zur Überwachung des Grundstücks oder Haustiere
Nachdem ich wegen des hohen Preises lange mit mir gerungen habe, dieses Produkt zu kaufen, habe ich mir nun das 3er Set Arlo Ultra zugelegt. Bisher konnte ich es zwar nur ein paar Tage lang testen, ich bin aber vollkommen zufrieden.
Die Installation war sehr leicht und in wenigen sowie verstndlichen Schritten erledigt. Dies ist unter anderem der gut strukturierten App zu verdanken, die den Nutzer anfangs durch den Installationsprozess leitet. Auch die mitgelieferten Halterungen waren rasch verbaut.
Da ich in einem lterem Haus wohne, das ursprnglich nicht fr WLAN ausgelegt war, hatte ich Bedenken um die Verbindung der Kameras zur Basisstation. Letztere musste ich an einen Ethernat LAN Switch anschlieen, welcher wiederum an einen Powerline-Adapter angeschlossen wurde. Die Verbindung zu den Kameras ist dennoch gut und bis auf eine Ausnahme auch stabil.
Eigentlih sollten die Kameras mein Schildkrtengehege berwachen. Eine Kamera berwacht dabei aber aufgrund des enormen Blickwinkels gleichzeitig den Eingangsbereich des Hauses. Sowohl die Tiere als auch Personen werden vom System ohne Probleme erkannt und die App informiert zuverlssig mit einer entsprechenden Pushnachricht. Die Qualitt der Videos ist dabei stets berragend. Auch in der Nacht ist die Bildqualitt noch gut. Die Farbsicht habe ich nicht aktiv, weil ich das Spotlight nicht aktivieren mchte. Fr andere Zwecke kann das durchaus Sinn ergeben! Damit kein Alarm ausgelst wird, wenn ich im Gehege oder Garten arbeite, habe ich Geofencing aktiviert. Sobald ich das Grundstck verlasse, ist die Bewegungserkennung wieder aktiv. Dies funktioniert bei meiner Freundin und mir einwandfrei.
Zur Stromversorgung habe ich eine Kamera mit einem Netzteil verbunden, zwei weitere mit je einem Solarpanel. Selbst die Panels laden meine Kameras auch bei schwcherem Licht. Damit muss ich mir keine Gedanken mehr um leere Akkus machen! Deshalb empehle ich diese zum Kauf hinzu! Nicht notwendig, aber als kleinen Zusatz habe ich mir auerdem Silikonhllen fr die Kameras gekauft.
Insgesamt kann ich bisher keine Mngel feststellen und ich empehle das Produkt an alle, die sich fr WLAN Kameras interessieren.
Tolles System und einfach einzurichten!
Nachdem man sich angemeldet hat lsst sich das System kinderleicht einrichten. Der Zugriff funktioniert sofort. Die Auflsung ist hervorragend und man erkennt wirklich jedes Detail.

Bin mit den Arlo Ultra sehr zufrieden. Das neue magnetische Aufladekabel ist superpraktisch, da man nicht mehr die Kamera abschrauben muss und somit das stndige justieren entfllt. Bis sehr zufrieden, jedoch wrde ich mir wnschen, dass die Zonenbestimmung etwas genauer ist. Habe ab und an Bewegungsalarm obwohl der Bereich keiner Zone zugeordnet ist. Aber trotzdem super.
Eines der Besten Home Kamerasysteme die ich zurzeit kenne
Das System ist sehr einfach einzurichten. Die Funktion ist auch super zuverlssig. Leider braucht man eine Basis die wieder herumsteht und die Reichweite auch begrenzt ist. Besser wre es ber das meinst vorhandene WLAN das zu nutzen. Zudem ist der Cloudplan kein Schnppchen aber alles in allem wahrscheinlich momentan eines der Besten Systeme. Wnschenswert wre noch ein indoorterminal wo man die Klingel z.b. bedienen kann wenn man kein Tablet oder SmartPhone zur Hand hat.
Pour en avoir possd et test plusieurs je peux affirmer que cette camra est un petit bijou de technologie, configurable souhaits, nombreuses fonctionnalits, rien voir avec la concurrence, batterie haute capacit ce qui ne gche rien sans compter les nombreux accessoires pour la “kiter”.
De plus le personnel d’assistance est efficace et trs aimable, cela doit aussi entre en ligne de compte.
