Using DIP Switch to Perform Routing
To route the signal from a transmitter to a receiver, toggle each individual switches of the DIP Switch in receiver to the same positions as these in transmitter. If you want to link the receiver to a different transmitter, change the receiver switch settings in the same way as how the transmitter’s switch is positioned.
Note
- You need to repower the transmitter and receiver for the switch setting changes to take effect.
- One transmitter can be only paired with one receiver individually in the same network, i.e. only one set DIP switch of transmitter and receiver can be set to the same position.

I work at an audio post production facility and needed a solution to run some high res displays with no compromise on sync. These boxes have been perfect. I’ve currently got about 4 pairs running in different rooms some at 2560×1440 and others at 1080p. All have been extremely reliable with no issues at all. No drop offs, no sync issues. USB is solid as well. I’d highly recommend these despite there being slightly cheaper products. These are perfect.
This review is for the AV Access Professional UHD 4K @30Hz 1080P@120Hz KVM Extender Over TCP/IP Ethernet, 16 Sets DIP Switch, Far-Reaching Up to 120m(390ft) over Single Cat5e/6 Cable, , 3 Ports USB 2.0 Hubs, Zero Latency.
A well made solid product which is great quality and works as expected. Provide good quality 4k extension. I would defo recommend this product, have had a few others but would say this works the best for me.
This is a very well made extender as you would expect from the price tag (162), which I think it is a decent price but still an expensive piece of kit. The extender comes with a transmitter and a receiver, if you are doing a single extension then all you need to do is to plug in the HDMI cable and the USB cable from your computer to the transmitter, connect the transmitter and the receiver using a fast ethernet cable (CAT5 or above), then you got your USB ports on the receiver where you can plug your keyboard, mouse or whatever you want to control your computer. Both the transmitter and the receiver come with individual power adaptor that has 3pin UK plug or Europe plug converters.
This extender allows me to take one ethernet cable up to my bedroom TV and I have full control of my PC downstairs on my TV. As if I was having a PC next to me but using a different my TV as monitor which is very handy to watch movies and even do a bit of gaming on the bed.
In terms of performance, I have not noticed any latency. At 4K quality this can only run 30fps which is not so smooth but most games or videos I watch online do not need the full frame rate so it is enough for me.
I don’t have a HDMI splitter, therefore each time I go back to my PC downstairs I will need to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back into the monitor downstairs, which is a bit of a pain. It could do with a HDMI out in the transmitter too so that I dont have to source my own splitter.
Overall, this is a very simple solution to ‘remotely’ control your computer. It has a dip switch so it can form part of the one-to-many or many-to-many connections. The size of this is a lot smaller than the earlier generations KVM extender. It is not cheap but definitely very useful if it suits your need.
Funciona muy bien pero si piensas en conectar 4k mejor ve a por uno que sea 60hz que es un poco ms de dinero
So I work in IT and my home network is a bit OTT; I have switches upstairs and downstairs and patched Ethernet wiring. Everything locally is stored on a server with attached storage. Traditionally i have accessed this by switching the output on my office monitor to a cable connected to the server (My monitor has a KVM in it.)
These KVM over Ethernet units work really well at streaming content over TCP/IP networks; that opens up the devices that i can use them for. They are very compact – roughly cigarette packet size; though they require a separate powerbrick to work. They don’t support power over ethernet (Poe) which is a shame as it would have solved the extra plug problem for me. It does look like there are a more expensive versions that do support POE though; so if you have POE check those out.
In my case i have set them up so the server in my power/ switch cabinet now has its video come out on the living room TV downstairs. This gives the computer extra purpose; with an HDMI switch you could use a computer in the home office and later switch to using it as a media source or gaming source on your TV which could be a very tidy solution.
AV Access’s little KVM boxes let me manage my home server from the living I room I; or watch iTunes video or listen to Apple Music as if the computer was plugged straight into the TV. The USB sockets worked fine with a Logitech usb receiver in them letting me use a wireless keyboard and mouse from the couch. A 65″ TV also makes for a very fun pc gaming experience if your controller can connect.
If you are looking for your office or shop as a way to get presentations onto screens these are great; they are super compact and if you are using high shielded network cables they offer a far longer range than long video cables. The included brackets make it easy to mount them to a tv (mounting bracket) and their tiny size makes it easy to get them out of the way- or you could use some Velcro tape to affix them. They don’t seem to hot (even after hours of use) they are warm though – so using in a compact place should be ok with decent air ventilation.
I bought the 4K version to prevent future upgrade and any bottle neck which may come from lower version. My setup on 1080p HD Samsung 55″ TV 240 mhz refresh rate. Xfinity cable TV from wall to NEW digital cable box with HDMI out goes into a AV ACCESS 4K switch box, this switch box has Xfinity HD and a Amazon firestick which gives my Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, etc since not a Smart TV. 4k switch HDMI out goes into DARBEE Vision DVP5000S video enhancer running at 70% enhancement. Let me tell everyone even my geek friends think the TV is 4K when everything is just 1080p. Everything works flawlessly.
Downside multiple remotes (5 total) for each item including YAMAHA sound bar. Looking at universal remote options Logitech elite or Harmony express
There is minor 2 second pause when switch no big deal to me. It works correctly and consistently which is biggest factors to me. Others out there alot of bad reviews and NO 4K support and sketchy 1080p suppo
Produkt ist mit HD (1080p), 60FPS und 25m Transmissionsstrecke, sowie LAN-Direkt-Verbindung sehr gut, besser als 4 zuvor getestete Systeme. 4k-Auflsungen nicht getestet.
Voll zufrieden 🙂
Usato in teatro, monitor tstiera e mouse in regia e computer dietro le quinte. Consigliato.
Bought this after having issues with a different HDMI USB Ethernet KVM, so far it’s been working very well.
The image is clean and the response time seems great, can’t even tell the difference to having my PC directly connected.
I use it with a racing simulator setup, which I have connected to my computer outputting 1080p/120hz. I did have to disable HDMI Deep Colour on my TV to get an image, after contacting support they told me it’s because their unit doesn’t support 4K/60hz only 30hz, which is stated in this description.
I use 2 of the USB’s for my steering wheel and pedals with a powered USB hub in the 3rd port, which I connect a wireless Keyboard and a USB wireless headset. I haven’t experienced any issues after hours of use.
My only issue with the device is that after using it and turning off the receiver end my PC still stays connected to the HDMI output so I have to unplug the HDMI to my graphics card for it to go back to the Display port which my monitor uses. Not a big deal though.
