I found the locks easy to fix on and they were diificult to move once dried. I did find that 3 of the locks were faulty which was disappointing. On the whole I was pleased with them and would recommend

4.0 out of 5 stars Most of the locks worked really well

I bought these to lock sharp/dangerous items away from my teenager. Due to her mental health she is prone to self harm but regular toddler locks would be far too easy for her to open, we have hidden the magnets (and the box with instructions/brand name) so she can’t Google and figure it out.

It’s probably not a permanent solution but for right now it’s the most convenient as we can still get to the knives and medication super easily.

They’re definitely secure enough without screws to stop her from being able to just pull it open however an older teen/adult or possibly even someone else her age would probably be able yo force it if they really wanted to.

Theyre so easy to install and simple to use.

    I would definitely recommend.

A great product to keep toddlers out of dangerous cupboards! Speedy fitting with a template and no screws makes it a breeze.. just be mindful if your doors are bowed.. make allowances when fitting as you only get one shot with the adhesive pads.. they do supply spare in the pack!

These locks are excellent. My toddler now can’t just in to any drawer in the kitchen. They’re relatively easy to install and don’t take too long. It comes with the additional magnet which is really handy. I also really like the fact you can disable the lock by changing portion of the catch. Great for us when the kids aren’t on the kitchen and I’m cooking

As the title states these are essential now our child has learnt to open doors. They lock when you need them to and you can unlock them as well if the little one is asleep or not around. They’re great and very simple to set up. Took me about 15 seconds to set up the first one and the rest took even less time.
My only grumble is that the little man used to be so happy investigating in each cupboard so I’ll miss his little face when he opens the cupboard door and ooos at all the glasses and plates just waiting to be pulled out and smashed on the floor.

The installation is really easy as they come with a simple gadget to assure the two pieces line up perfectly. They stick incredibly well and don’t allow the drawer or door to budge at all like some other do.

We have a very curious little boy, that started to explore all kinds of drawers and cupboards in the house. We bought 2 kinds of baby proofing tools, but these were by far our favourites.
They are pretty easy to install, there are videos that show all the steps and they are pretty straightforward. The kit comes with 2 magnets, which is pretty convenient for using in different rooms.
There are no apparent parts, they are all hidden inside of the drawers/cupboards, so it doesn’t change the layout of our furniture. The magnet works perfectly and the whole process is quite simple.
    Highly recommended!

Don’t do what I did and think you’re a know it all and try to install it without watching the installation video, and then have a strop that it doesn’t work.
Just watch the instruction video and do it.
It’s a simple instal and works very well. 100% recommend (after the second attempt)

Ignore the video the packaging links to, it’s outdated as the product has been improved since.

Simply put the two parts in the holder, stick it to the top of the inside of the cupboard, close the door and open it again.

You’ll probably mess up the first one but it comes with spare adhesive. Once you figure the first one out, the rest is a doddle!

Really easy to install thanks to the fitting kit. Only thing to look for is any stoppers on your cupboard doors which may mean the doors don’t sit quite flush and therefore you need to overhang the locks very slightly. My 2 year old has used all his weight to try and open the cupboard doors and draws and these locks have held up perfectly. Really great product!

Secured all the presses and drawers around the house with these magnetic locks. Great product, easy to use thanks to the applicator that comes with it and the 3m adhesive is very sticky. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Absolutely stunned though we struggled with the locks and did not take advantage of the product support which was available we did struggle to get the best out of the locks but that may be just us as the idea behind the locks seems sound enough . I did not complain to the seller but I did leave feedback about my experience . I was later contacted by the seller who understood our frustration and though we did not complain directly to the seller they were kind enough us a full refund they didn’t have to as the installation issue may have been our own fault but I would like the seller for thier courtesy and understanding in this matter, Thank you .

As a student I used this to prevent others using my cupboards. They were very easy to install with the tool and included the lock and catch. They have been pulled on with some force and are still on there well. Worked with slow closures. The instructions in the booklet were slightly confusing but the Instructional video was very clear and covered different types of cupboards.

We’ll see if it stands the test of pulling and time. Some wooden cabinets isolate the magnet so you need to work for a moment to get it to open.

I bought this product as my little one can open cupboards enough to get his fingers in and the traditional latch types weren’t working.
These were a comprehensive kit with good instructions and handing fitting jig that makes sure you have both elements in the correct place.
I did have problems with one pad adhering to a shelf in the cupboard rather than the car ass but I think that may have been down to the shelf material rather than the product.
They’ve been amazing and stop you from opening the cupboard even when a hungry boy is exerting a considerable amount of force! He has watched and worked out how to use the ‘key’ but it has to be in a very specific place and open-end at the same time so luckily it still keeps him off the hobnobs!

Bought these as other child locks weren’t sticking to the surfaces, these are amazing, the first one I did was a bit fiddly but as soon as you know what you are doing are easy enough. The fact your child is kept safe but you can’t see it, is amazing. My boy is a strong fella and he has yet to pull them open.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInstallation fairly straight forward using the guides included. How effective they are does depend on the door though as the tolerance in the mechanism is 1-2mm. Some of our doors have slight movement on the hinges so when the toddler pulled to open of the door, they released. Have used on proper internal doors (into airing cupboard) and they work well. Have been in place for a couple of months and a couple of the sticky pads have come lose and need replacing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wasn’t too impressed with the video instructions, as it seemed to go too fast on some elements. However, having installed the product, I am very impressed with it. Well impressed actually… Especially impressed when I discovered that you can disable it with a click, if you don’t want to have locked cupboards 7 days a week. I would recommend it. (I don’t often say that !)

Bought these as our baby has become a toddler and started wanting to open things. Pretty easy to install although can take a bit of trial and error getting it right if the door has rubber pads to stop it banging. The 3M adhesive pads seem really strong so far and the magnet works fine. Only issue is remembering that the cupboards are now locked and grabbing the magnet before trying to open them!

After installing these, I could not stop laughing when my toddler would try to open drawers and look at me with pure confusions.

On a serious note: follow the instructions and they are easy to install. Take the time to do it right. Once it’s in place it’s hidden from view and they are STRONG. I thought “surely my kid would break it by yanking out of the drawer non stop” but nope, it’s holding strong even a year later.

When you don’t need the drawer locked anymore you can click them to always be open without having to remove them. Very handy incase…you know…..you have another baby

This product was super easy to install and the perfect solution to keep my little one out of the cupboards and drawers.

I had tried many different types of locks before and my 12 month old had managed to either rip them off or figure out how to undo them. These are, as far as i am concerned the best you can get. If you’re a stressed out parent that is tired off chasing an inquisitive little one around the kitchen then 100% buy these!! It might sound dramatic but it has literally been a life changing addition to our home, it has definitely helped my stress levels thats for sure!

I had a couple of reservations about these, would the sticky pads hold and magnets work through unit doors and drawers, both were unfounded. I followed the intructions and fitted these to cupboards and deep drawers. They are quick and straight foward to fit, they work well, and my 16 month has yet to beat one! Result.
The pack also contains enough for most kitchens I would imagine. It does make opening the unit a two hand job, as the magnet needs to be held as you open the drawer / cupboard. I will recommend these amd use again if required.

These things are brilliant! Installed all 10 in about 10 mins and had no issues.

Ignore the reviews about poor adhesion etc… There are screw slots on every lock and catch which will help solve that issue, including extra adhesive pads that have been provided in the box. Also, maybe prep your surface better?

    Anyway, 110% recommended.

Like all new parents we had concerns about our daughter’s safety for when she started walking. After all, everything that isn’t ‘nailed down’ has to be opened, picked up and investigated by a little one.

So it was important we found ways to prevent her from accessing dangerous items, including those in some of our cupboards and drawers.

However, we wanted to avoid drilling holes into our cupboards if we could avoid it and we found these, ‘Magnetic Safety Cupboard Locks for Children’.

In short, these have been Absolutely Fantastic!

The pack comes with 10 locks and 2 magnetic keys, and we have been using them for over a year now and they have done exactly what we wanted them for! Preventing our little one from opening cupboard doors and drawers that contain harmful items.

The locks can also be left in an ‘open’ position, so when you don’t need a door or drawer locked they can be opened without needing the magnetic key.

If you are looking for a way to help protect your child and ‘baby proof’ your home without the need for drilling then give these serious consideration as they come Highly Recommended!

Thank you for reading my review and I hope you found it helpful. Please see my profile page for more reviews. Thank you!

    These are Absolutely Fantastic!

These are very easy to fit, really good quality and work perfectly. We got them to keep a pup out of the kitchen cupboards, he worked out very early how to open them and they have done the trick. Also there’s no screws etc so no sign of them from the outside. Excellent.

Where all other child locks have failed, this one surpasses all expectations! It works brilliantly, it appears discreet, a bit fiddly to fit but once you get one right, the others become a doddle. Out of all the ones I’ve tried, this is the one!!

  49. LawannaZhg says:

These work very well. Easy to fit using the sticky mounts and the fitting tool included. They can also be reinforced with screws if needed to make them more solid. Release first time every time if the magnet is put in the correct place. The locking mechanism on the latch is very handy to allow the door to open freely without the magnet when needed, then easily clicks back to child proof mode when you need it to.

However, they come with stickers with a padlock symbol on which should be stuck on the door to show where the magnet needs to be placed. These do not look particularly good, and when on every door in the kitchen you actually notice it a lot more than you think you would. We chose not to use the stickers in the end, and as a result sometimes struggle to find where the magnet needs to go so end up moving it around on the door until it releases. After a month or so of use this has scratched the gloss door of the unit.

I understand this is mainly user error, but just something to be aware of and may be a reason to look at other types of door catches.

Easy to install with all instructions. Cupboards, drawers and everything else got locked from little explorer who just started walking. Easy to use with the magnet. Plenty locks and 2 magnets enough to lock everything away and by pushing the lock tab back in you can keep ir unlocked. The cubord wit the snacks got riped open but replaced with the new and all was good. Adhesive was still there but the soft foam broken. There is holes on them if you want to screw them in. Transparent sticker with the lock sign helps to rember where to put magnet. Suggest to put lock next to handle as it is easier to open it with magnet one handed especially when you holding child in other hand. Magnet holding cap can be sticked anywhere where it is handy so it does not get lost.

Good instructions and great application tool. Hope strong enough to survive my kids efforts. Be careful couple off the smaller parts had to be installed sticking over one mm of the edges of the furniture as didn’t locked or didn’t open effortlessly. Due the locking latch couldn’t reach it.
Was removed with sharp knife pealed off the remaining sticer with hand and used spare adhesive sticer.
I think best child lock I tried so far.

This product is excellent. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is purely for the fact that it is a little annoying to have to grab the magnet key every time you need anything whilst cooking in the moment. That aside (and obviously that’s a small price to pay) I am really happy. The lack of visibility from the outside, is for a very neat/ tidy person (me obvs) immensely pleasing. Installation was easy, and actually quite fun – don’t use the Manuel though, lots of faffy explanations of how to apply, actually more confusing with that – just watch the YouTube video!

Our newly walking toddler (try as she might) cannot get into the low danger kitchen cupboards anymore. Breathes sign of relief.

    Great product, highly recommend.

I’ve been so happy with these locks. Getting a hang of installation takes a bit of concentration and practice, but it’s not terribly difficult. I love that it’s meant no screw holes in my cupboards and my kids are safe. They think I’m a magician with my magic (magnetic) wand – just don’t lose it!! Unfortunately, my little ones removed the stickers used to indicate where to place the opener so I’ve ended up doing a bit of hunting around to find the right spot to place the opener. If your kids aren’t as mischievous as mine, opening is a cinch.

I bought this product as my kittens had figured out how to get into my cupboards to make a mess and steal all my food. So I got these magnetic child locks! They were super easy to install and they work great. I’ve had these for around 6 months now and they are super sticky! I’ve even had to take off some of the clasps just to reposition them and they are just as sticky as when I first installed them without any screws. The only annoying thing is that I keep forgetting the exact spot where I installed them so I have to move the magnet around a little bit. Apart from that they are perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Very simple. After you’ve thoroughly read the instructions and put one up, the rest are very simple now you’ve got the hang of it. Got these as my clever Beagle has really started to figure out opening doors. Rather than installing locks on doors, this is just a simple magnet lock and I don’t need anything stronger. They just stick on with 3M tape, but if you really want there is the option to screw them on.

Such a simple but genius idea that’s easy to install.

I am a new Nana & I will having my granddaughter here when her Mummy goes back to work so I wanted some cupboard locks that didn’t need screwing into my units & that I could also only have locked when the kids are over here. These were the perfect solution, I fitted them myself today, super easy with the booklet & video & the only tool need was a pencil. As you can see they are nice and neat & even the key can be stuck inside an unlocked cupboard or up on a wall for safe keeping. Very impressive from the idea, to install to the helpful video. Both my granddaughters parents & my soon to arrive grandsons parents are using the same locks in their homes. My favorite thing is that when the children are not here I just flip the lock catch & no more locked doors.

Perfect no screw locks, ideal for grandparents.

A simple but clever applicator allows for quick and accurate fitting of the cupboard locks. Once you have fitted one and got the hang of the applicator, the other locks can be fitted very quickly- seconds in some cases. The lock has an off position, which means that the cupboard doors and drawers can be used in the normal way without the lock operating. This is ideal, for example, if you only need to secure them at certain times of the day or certain days of the week when grand children visit.

This drawer and door safety system is brilliant. Installation with the supplied guide makes it very quick and easy. Very robust. Means my 2 and 6 year olds cant get into where there shouldn’t.
One Installation I will add is make sure you check if you have any pads on your drawers or doors. This means there’s a bit more of a gap between the door and the cupboard so place the plastic guide so it protrudes a little forwards. Means the catch will stick first time.

Having been alerted to the fact that my grandson arriving the next day, age 9 months, was now almost walking and opening all cupboards – I found and ordered these on Prime. Reviews were great. I have a smart newly done kitchen – equipped for adults. These locks are perfect and do not show on the outside of my drawers and cupboards and I can ‘switch’ them off when his visit is over. As long as you remember where the fixings are so you can align your unlock magnet quickly – it is easy. I have to confess I asked my son in law to fit them the minute he arrived! He and my daughter have fitted the same in their kitchen having seen mine work so well. Thrilled with my investment!

It’s a really clever little design. The magnets are so strong along with the sticky pads. The locks can be left in the unlock position if for example you’re cooking and need to be in and out of them without wanting to unlock each time. Just remember to flick the catch again! Thoroughly recommended 🙂

Just a little bit tricky to install ..to be fair at first we never allowed for the buffers on our units and once we did they worked well so just take your time and don’t fit flush if you have buffers also don’t put them too close to handles that go across..that was another problem we encountered as we couldn’t fit the magnet in …having said that I am now extremely pleased with them they work well and when I don’t need them I just click them up and child lock is off. An older child can be told how to open them by using the magnet (they open very easily when you know how) then just keep the magnet out of younger child’s reach .

Can’t really testify to adhesive qualities as not yet on cupboards for more than a few days, but adhesive appears up to the task for laminate coated doors. Used on doors and are really simple to unlock so long as you remember exactly where locks are placed (not visible when doors are closed). Had some doubts as to magnetic unlock but magnets are equal to task. One challenge is to install locks EXACTLY where required. Snibbing is quite intolerant even if lock placed even a tiny bit out of perfect alignment. Would definitely buy again and recommend to others for standard kitchen cabinets

They work great. No baby/toddler is getting into the cupboards. The only thing is when we put one of them in, it was about mm too far back, so we had to remove it and reapply it. Fair dues to the adhesive, it was a nightmare to get off, I’d say Dwayne Johnson would struggle to force these open, never mind a toddler. This thought me 2 lessons:
    1. If you put it in wrong, put it too far forward. If it’s too far back the latch gets stuck and you can’t unlock it/ get into the cupboard.

    2. We removed and reused the same adhesive, and the adhesive just wasn’t as strong. After about a week it just fell off during a heat wave (about 30 degrees outside). But they include spare adhesive strips, so in future if you have to remove and reapply, replace the adhesive strip.

    Overall: good. Would buy again.
Supplier: great. Arrived on time in mint condition.

I’ve tried quite a few cupboard locks and these are by far the best. With the added installation device it’s a doddle to setup a new lock. You even get extra sticky pads in case something goes wrong and you need to re-apply a device. The locks work well and as long as you place the magnet opener somewhere memorable you’ll have no problems. I’ve been using them for four months and even though they are simply sticky pads my little one has not managed to get into any of cupboard and drawers, not for lack of trying.

I was dead against fitting child safety locks to our brand new kitchen. However, the Aycorn kit is invisible, easy to install with the provided applicator tool and they work as described.
One point to note is that to get the best out of the kit, you must follow the instructions. Wipe down the cupboard surfaces to ensure the adhesive can get a secure fix.
Aycorn provide a clear instructional video explaining how to fit and once you have done one, you will fit the rest real quickly.
Cupboards are now secure and can be kept unlocked when required.
The kit is well made, well packaged with clear instructions and good support available if you get stuck.

Clean any greasy fingerprints etc. off and dry the surface. do be consistent about where you put the fasteners because you cannot see them after you shut the door. I always put then in the top opening corner. Apply the little lock transfers to show other users. You can just hear the lock click open and shut as you apply then remove the magnet. The magnet has to stay on the door as you start to open it. There is no chance of a child pulling the door open a few millimetres then jamming their fingers in the gap. Very useful, you can click the catch to stay open when you want to get in frequently and there are no children around.

I find these work very well on cupboard doors. Baby can’t open the kitchen cupboards now.

We have some big drawers for pots and I couldn’t get the lock to engage on those. Lucky you get some spare adhesives so I will try again.

For the doors where it did work, it works as it’s meant to. Can’t open the doors without the key. They were easy to fit using the little tool. Will probably buy more for the Grandparent’s houses.

I originally set it up near ish the door handle – that interferes with the magnet, so I had to move it a after that, it worked pretty well. Applying everything was a bit fiddly at first too, but after the first try I got into a good rhythm and it was easy

A bit of trial and error installing them (instructions could be clearer so maybe watch a video) but once fitted they really do the job. My doors are quite thick, solid wood and the magnets work well through them

Installation is fine once you get used to having done the process a couple of times. Sometimes the catches don’t always engage on the latch or they don’t return to their “open” position when closing drawers. Overall pretty good. However I think they could be excellent with some improvements or further product development.

Our little girl has started to open every door and drawer in sight so we knew it was time to baby proof them but alot are stuck on the front of the doors and with a brand new kitchen I didnt want anything that could potentially damage them and make them look unsightly so these work perfectly! Now I wont lie it can be annoying to have to go get the ‘key’ to unlock a cupboard but to have them invisible is worth it for us. It can take a bit of getting used to to open them but once you have done it a few times its second nature!

I wasn’t expecting too much from these locks, but they’re superb. Easy to fit and the locks are surprisingly strong – the 3M glue patches adhere quickly and will resist most casual attempts to open the cabinet. Obviously, an adult putting their strength into it will overcome the lock without too much trouble, but they’re strong enough to deter younger children from accidentally wandering into places they shouldn’t be.

Despite having numerous toys to play with, the little one decided to empty the kitchen cupboards on a daily basis leading to my frustration at having to clean up. My only regret is not buying these sooner. Now the kitchen is clean and clutter free and the little one gets frustrated at not being able to open the cupboards and swiftly returns to play with toys.

I should mention I didn’t put the stickers to mark the locations of the locks. The added benefit is I now get to watch my wife’s frustration whilst struggling to open the cupboards.

I’m thinking to get these for all cupboards in the house. My only concern is the wife’s reaction may include divorce proceedings as a result. All in all a great product, easy to use, child proof and can be adult proof should you wish.

I’m really pleased with these very clever child locks.
When my kids were toddlers the only decent solution was to screw child locks onto the cupboard carcass which was a laborious process!
These clever locks are fitted in a couple of minutes and believe me the adhesive is strong and instant … I know this and take heed of this if you buy the set… Make sure you put the catch part the right way up in the fitting block m, because if you don’t you’ll have a job taking it off to turn it round !!
My error apart, I’m chuffed with these locks and they do work very very well

I bought these a couple years ago when our first child was one but we never took them out of the box as we closed the kitchen off with a baby gate. Now in a new house with an open plan kitchen and baby number 2, we have finally put them to use. Very impressed with how easy they are to operate and they don’t change the aesthetic in the kitchen. There is one cupboard door that struggles to open on the first attempt with the key, but I think it has to do with the limited way we could place the lock on the back of the door. I like that the locks can be left unlatched for grown up ease of access but then quickly latched if baby comes near. Baby is 9 months so we’ll see how they hold up as she gets older and stronger, but so far so good.

We’ve just bought our second set of these locks, having moved a set between houses and now adding them to additional cupboards.

The original appeal was the fact they aren’t obvious or intrusive like many alternatives and they can be easily disengaged for a while, if you don’t need the cupboard to stay locked. Despite the kids’ best efforts, we’ve had no failures and the locks were easy enough to remove and set up in the new house.

My only advice would be to be sure you’ve put them in the best place on the door. I put our first set behind the handle which was a bit awkward for placing the magnet.

We’ve recommended these to loads of friends. They’d be great for grandparents houses too, where they could be switched on when the grandkids are over but left off normally.

Great product, well supported by a great installation video. I would give this 5 stars, but fitting depends critically on how your cupboards and drawers work. For example, I needed to stick additional batons onto both the kitchen and bathroom sink cupboards to give enough support for the fixed part of the lock. This was not difficult but would not suit anyone who is not “handy” or does not have a saw, strong glue and suitable off-cuts of wood to hand.

    These are great locks!
They go inside the doors and drawers which make them invisible from the outside (apart from the stickers), they are very easy to operate and they don’t ruin the aesthetics of the furniture.
The adhesion is quite good. I did have issues with one of them, but here are spare adhesives in the box so it was quite easy to fix it.
Mostly importantly the little one is unable to open them and there is no risk of him figuring out how to unlock them since they need the magnetic key to open.
    Definitely would buy again!

UPDATE the day after posting my review I seem to be having issues with the locks not locking after opening. Not sure why, but I now have to lift and push the doors slightly in order to get them to lock again, which is a bit annoying! Star knocked off for this.
    ********
After initially struggling to install the first one (which was my fault due to long handles not allowing me to put the magnet in the right place) I managed to fit them all at the top of the cupboards. Some required me to bring the catch inside the cupboard forward slightly, to ensure they locked. Also had some issues with being able to open them initially, despite being locked. However after leaving for the recommended 24hrs to adhere sufficiently, they are working brilliantly and I’m really impressed!

Once you get the hang of fitting them, they are quite good.

The absence adhesive is strong, and keeps little children out of cupboards.

If you want to remove them, you need to be careful getting then off without using a tool that week damage the surface. But they can be removed ok.

Usefully, the openers can be stuck to the outside corners of raid walls where there is metal under the plaste

This are effective (so far). Had them on for a couple of weeks and my one year old hasn’t managed to get into any cupboards yet (not for lack of trying…)

They were pretty straightforward to install. Sticky pads feel very strong, at least on laminated kitchen units. The little applicator thing ensures accurate alignment. They’re easy to open with the magnet (there’s two of them so you can keep one on each side of the kitchen). You can click them to one side to get them to latch off permanently, so if you’re in the kitchen and cooking something big you can unlock them permanently until you’re finished.

A little fiddly to fit but it’s worth the hassle. First of all, do check your cupboards and accept the fact that this type of magnetic lock won’t work on all draws and cupboards, when I first bought it I was gutted they don’t fit my wardrobe draws however, they do fit many others (I just bought another pack for the kitchen) once you get the hang of it, I was doing one draw every three mins! Some draws do need a little adjustment, ie, if you find your lock is not hooking on, just move the small part a little bit forward. I like the little lock stickers, they kinda look cool (must be the mum thing)
    Enjoy
