Brilliant Mixer for online broadcasts and internet Radio. Each fader is stereo and you can set the quick fire buttons which is great. 10 out of 10 from me.

First thing, I would like to apologise for the negative review i gave a few days ago, this is because the sales man call me personally and after a talk about what had happened in realised, most of the problems was my own fault, (Yes when Iam wrong I’m not scared to admit it). So again sorry for the misunderstanding Martin and I hope to buy more parts from you.

Good mixer, basic but does the job. It arrived with an EU plug which was no use to me. The seller sent me an adaptor without any extra cost so I could get it working.

I had a DJX750, which I bought 2nd hand, and the FX weren’t working, so I decided to buy myself the DJX900USB. Virtually identical but has a USB input, which I don’t use, and white bases to the dials. It’s a really good mixer. The faders are a little ‘loose’ to slide but apart from that I’m very pleased with it.

All in all a great mixer for the price perfectly suitable for home use but not club use it’s not sturdy enough.its basically a copy pioneer but without the finish and durability but you get what you pay for but for practise at home it’s perfect with all the functions of a high end mixe

This is a pretty good mixer for a beginner dj … It does the job Great sound quality (again it depends on the amps and speakers you use). It served me for a good 3 years … This was my first DJ Mixer and i have used many now so i still know the difference… I would recommend this mixer for beginers who want to practise mixing and doing small gigs…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have read some pervious reviews that the sound quality is not very good when played through your amp this is total rubbish. This is a great mixer for the price with usb capabilities, so you can record your mixes via your PC or stream live to you radio station. The only downside is the beat counter is not very accurate.
I have been mixing for nearly 20 years now and this mixer comes highly recommended. But be aware the beat matcher feature don’t work, so if your buying the mixer for that reason look for something more expensive.

I don’t need it as I can beat match by counting, so not really a issue for me.

After having some trouble with my last two Behringer 750 I was almost ready to get a completely different company altogether but I saw the ddm4000 and was like should i or not so i took the chance and I must now say I don’t regret it this mixer is the way forward some very nice features and all the buttons and switches work fine so my advice to Behringer stop doing the 750 the parts you use are substandard and could cost you your reputation when for just a few dollars more DJ’s could have your flagship model DDM 4000 with much better components and less problems

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWhere to start? First of all I bought This to replace my old Pioneer DJM600. The DDM4000 is packed with features and it is only about 1 inch deeper than my previous mixer (which i found annoying as i have no room for over hang at the back of my set up as its against a wall) but i digress!! the main reason I bought it is because it is the only one I could find for the price with MIDI connectivity (less than 250quid new!! I’ve looked at 2nd hand mixers with MIDI going for 500quid+) so value for money is superb in terms of bang for your buck!! But is it any good?

First impressions on opening the box, it looks impressive as it has loads of buttons and knobs. The first thing I noticed is the central (12oclock) position on some of the pots is slightly of centre and most don’t feel overly sturdy to the twist/turn. The overall build quality is very reasonable (keep in mind the price of this thing) the second reason I wanted this is because every channel is switchable between line in and phono which is exceptionally handy. Again making the connectivity on this mixer excellent. Overall build quality is very good. The faders slide nicely and the cross fader can be upgraded to an infinium fader for 20 or so quid which is nice.

    The big switch on….
I plumbed in all the cables as required and switched it on. All the lights came on as they should but the first thing I noticed was a humming so I turned down all faders and realised quickly that the earth grounding connections for the turntables doesn’t seem to be very good. I will investigate further and maybe see if I can earth my decks to something other than the mixer. So it’s a negative on the grounding pins. At first glance the overall layout seems fairly logical except the headphone jack is in a ridiculous location. Whoever thought it was a good idea to place it where it is clearly didn’t think it through, so again another negative point on that. The effects unit is fairly good but it doesn’t seem very easy to use at first but you can figure it out fairly quickly. Overall the effects are ok. There is no gate which is no big loss and I found the flange and pan effect to be less prominent than the likes of the Pioneer effects. I’m no expert but it feels like the frequency sweeping is less than that of pioneer’s equivalents!! The kill switches are decent and I like the transform buttons (located in the bottom right corner) all the other features are good and all work as they should.

    MIDI.

As previously mentioned this was a big tick for me as I want to connect it to Traktor as a control device. I purchased the Roland UM-one MK2 MIDI to USB cable which i connected to my laptop and traktor recognised the mixer (after a few driver installs and a re-start) which was also nice.
The DDM4000 has 4 sections you can use as MIDI CC inputs but the downloadable PDF doesn’t really go into to much detail but there is a mapped diagram that comes in the box. Not all the knobs are assignable and the main issue with having it connected to traktor is that it seems very difficult to have the faders assigned and be able to have each deck in traktor have their own PFL on the mixer which doesn’t help for mixing. I can hear the master out in the headphones but not each individual channel and there appears to be nothing to very little online to help with this.

Definetly worth 220 quid and if I can figure out how to get it to cya individual decks through the headphones whilst using traktor I’ll be very pleased. As for longevity as to how long it will last remains to be seen. I’ve seen reviews on here saying it was faulty on arrival and others say they’ve had it for years and love it. Time will tell. But if you on a budget and need a 4 channel mixer i rate this very highly when you look at other brand new 4 channel mixers for 220 quid.

Very reasonable for the price. Hard pushed to find so many features on a mixer of this price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Userslove the way you can change the crossfader type instantly for different types of music/mixes. Hasn’t broken yet so will have to update if anything untoward happens. Build quality seems OK so far, not brilliant but at such a cheap price for a mixer it’s better than expected tbh.

This has got to be one of the best dj mixers around. Loads of toys to play around with. Takes a bit of time getting to find out how it all works but boy when you work it out well hours of fun. Delivery was on time. Polite and friendly delivery man. But they are most of the time.

I am stunned at the sound quality and clarity of this mixer for the price tag! The option of 3 channels for my style of mixing is also ideal and having multiple outputs makes this suitable for club use, bedroom dj’ing and recording.
The casing is solid metal, the faders feel soft but robust and the mixer feels very well made.

    All round excellent purchase.

gr8 piece of kit had a few behringer mixers when i first started out dj,ing and they where awful. This is totally different has everything u would need and more for a professional club ,mixer. If you upgrade to the infnium x1 crossfader youve enhanced the mixers scratch possiblities by leaps and bounds really responsive crossfader and showing no signs of wear and tear 2 years in. SCRATCH DJS SHOULD DEFINETLY UPGRADE THE CROSSFADER TO INFINIUM X1

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally good mixer, the only problems is you can’t use it with a computer straight. You need to buy an external soundcard that splits your aound in two channels like Native Instruments A2. But if you have cdj or turntables….definetly the best for the price!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThe Gemini PS626 was without doubt the daddy of the 3-chan mixers. When my old man asked me for advice for a mixer, I proclaimed the Gemini 626. Since Gemini is now the Behringer brand I was suspicious that the design and quality was sacrificed. It doesn’t look the same, but the quality is still there; the faders are nice and loose, especially the cross-fade.The EQ does what it’s supposed to, and the gain is substantial. My only complaint was the inclusion of a stupid BPM monitor. Real DJs don’t care about that.

If you have 2 turntables and want to mix then this is perfect. Drop in a CD player (or laptop if needs be), switch to line and you’re on.

In a nutshell, if you remember the Gemini PS626 then this is the PS626 reborn.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGiven the price of this mixer you are getting a lot for your money if you compare it to other similar products on the market .I’m using mine in a small radio studio set-up and it works very well although I’d have liked to see a slightly different set-up mixer wise . I feel this is a product trying to stretch into two different categories and I would guess it doesn’t meet either situation to the extent the end user would really like . As has already been previously commented upon the main letdown on this mixer is the quality of the faders , you can feel metal to metal contact with them and they are wobbly and loose feeling , I shall eventually replace mine with ” Alps series faders” but it seems a shame Behringer didn’t install these from the word go and increase the price accordingly it would be a good 35-40% increase of the quality of the mixer . It’s a well thought/ laid out mixer that will meet the requirements of whatever you decide to use the mixer for although radio and club users will find in either environment some of the features redundant . For the radio set-up I unfortunately found the mic pre- amps wanting but have overcome this with ART Tube MP preamps , in club use the pre-amps on mixer are more than capable . Overall for the cost of this mixer it’s a decent bit of kit and can be adapted to suit your environment with some slight modifications to make it even more workable to your personal tastes and unless you authorised a custom built mixer anything on the market will be the same regarding those issues .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersafter a month of use this product does exactly what it should i used it a lot and have found no problem with the item it is worth the money and the star rating i gave it is 4 because of better more complicated mixers out there only and does not reflect the good quality and ease of use this mixer gives any user i would give an ease of use 4 out of 5 features 4 out of 5 and worth the money spent as new sliders work well and cross fader is rarely glitchy in the middle to channel 2 or 3 switch or flick from left to right channel change. it has a few options budget mixers do not and i upgraded from a similar behringer with more channels. this just does all you might expect from a good mixer. the beat counter is cut out when no beat is outgoing, as you might expect. good allround little mixer with no problems yet.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat little mixer at a bargain price. Has all the key functions needed to keep the music playing at events. Cue up tracks, set levels and tone whilst playing through the other source. Handy feature is the left and right LED meters can show main stereo output or the Pre Fader Levels for sources 1 and 2 respectively – I’m using that to set the level of next track to that of the one playing. The USB connection worked immediately as both sound input and output devices on the laptop. I generally just use the headphone output instead.

BPM counters don’t really work for my kind of music. Might be ok for heavy dance. I do use them in manual tap mode which is enough to know roughly what speed I’m at. If you want automated beat matching, check out DJay or Traktor apps for the iPad – they process the whole song and identify beat boundaries pretty well…. most of the time. I’d have still been happy to pay the price without the BPM counters

Another criteria for me was portability – this is small and light enough to carry around in a bag to gigs. Build quality is good for the price. Knobs are plastic, but box is metal and solid. It’s not Pioneer quality – but then it’s not Pioneer price either!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis product is perfect for the bedroom DJ, not only it is the club standard layout, for the price you can’t beat it. We all no that pioneer is just too expensive, so this is perfect combined with a pioneer RMX-500 and two CDJ’s you’ve got yourself club standard gear and some of the effects that the pioneer gear has, this mixer is like i said perfect for the bedroom DJ, or even if you’ve got a tight budget. I’d seriously recommend it. However just to balance my judgement out if you are planning on using the effect’s without a external effect unit, it’s really fiddly and they just straight up sound rubbish in comparison to the pioneer gear. Even then the combination i just mentioned (if you are going to be using effects) is quite close to what a pioneer set-up is like, but for less price then a mixer from pioneer! so think about that. So, if your not going to be using effects this will simply be all you need, seriously if you don’t want to use effects, this is just as good as pioneer gear. Scratching will work perfectly fine with this, and generally i’d say if your not using effect, there is no reason at all to get pioneer gear. Overall i’d say that this is simply the best emulation for getting club standard gear, as well as full upgrade ability in all sorts of areas on the mixer or even if you’re are on a tight budget.

I have used this mixer many times in a nightclub environment and have had very few issues with it. A club I play in regularly, has one which is used most nights for the past few years. It was only recently that I had a few issues with sound cutting out for half a second, intermittently. I was surprised to see how cheap it was on here.

Having used a variety of mixers in my time DJing. I would say its worth buying if you are looking for a mixer that can deliver what you want at a great price, and at under 150 once it does start playing up, you can replace it (for less than what you make in a night!).

Great product, great value, does what it says in product description and more.

Bought similar equipment 25 years ago and cost well in excess of 500.00

I did quite a lot of research around this and was looking for as small and simple a piece of kit as possible. As it is I can hook up my 2 1210’s and a laptop and easily do 3 deck mixing should I want to. The quality of the sliders, faders and switches is a real step up from my old Numark and it looks the part but is still discrete in the lounge.

Should really be my son reviewing this. However based on his input of which he is very happy, this mixer does what it says on the tin. Well priced and does the job very well. He has had this make a number of times and it delivers.

Yep, does what is says on the tin. I installed the CFM2 crossfader into my Behringer mixer which was an easy 5 min clip out the old, and clip in the new operation and it works a treat. The delivery times were great. Overall, i’m very satisfied with the product and the service…great!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat piece of kit – multiple input channels (switchable between line and phono or line and cd) including 2 dedicated Mic inputs.
Great range of outputs (although watch the phono outs – they are record outs, so fixed level). Haven’t tried the sub bass output yet (I use a crossover in my set up) but this will come in handy for smaller shows…
Good clean signal, used it to drive a big pro-audio rig recently and no clipping or distortion.
    Like the sloping front panel.

Watch out that the X-fader assign buttons do not get accidentally pressed when cueing up the headphones, but other than that – really love this mixer.

    Would definitely recommend i

I can thoroughly recommend the Behringer DJX! At this price point its a good solidly built piece of kit. The layout is similar to the pioneer range which most will be used to from club situations and sound quality is excellent. Perhaps it would be nice to have a little more resistance from the channel faders (They’re a little easy to knock out of place) but at this price range the quality is brilliant. BPM counters seem a bit off the mark but no-one should be relying on them anyway! I honestly dont think there is anything else on the market at this price range that can possibly compare. If your thinking of buying this mixer? GO DO IT NOW!!!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDespite mixed reviews i decided i would buy this mixer. If you keep it in good use it will serve you well. If you have an amp or are a bedroom dj, perfect. do not turn it up over level 8 on ur master level, the sound quality muffles, but with an amp you shudnt have a problem. the effects are useless but you wouldnt use it anyways/ A great budget mixer.
