I was wondering if I had bought a cheaper and inferior version of a work stand when compared to the Park Tool 10.3 Stand. I needn’t had worried as this Work Stand is all that I could wish for and at less than half the price. Holds my 30lbs Hybrid bike with no issues. I’m usually a bit of a Park Tool snob; but not on this occasion. This Bike Hand work stand will do nicely!!

Excellent stand, purchased for working on ebike and suffice to say it does the job with no problems. As long as you make sure the legs are tightened up properly, it’s a well balanced stand. Highly recommended.

Easy to set up, the 360 clamp easily holds my e-bikes, even my tricky-to-hoist folding e-bike that can only be hung by the seat post. My old stand was cheaper but I could only hoist bikes by the top tube and it was falling apart, I’m kinda torn over whether I think it’s too expensive or not as I’m not anywhere near bike tech or even enthusiast level, but I’d rather use this stand than risk back pain so I’d say it was worth the price.

    Sturdy and lightweigh

I had been looking at a much higher priced one but thought I’d take a chance because of Amazon’s great return policy. I was very surprised by how sturdy and stabile it was. Also very easy to fold up. Great purchase!!

Grips by bike firmly with the quick release lever so once you have it dialed in, no unscrewing! Would recommend considering other bike stands at similar or higher prices. This one fits in a corner perfectly and keeps my bike out of the way. Light and compact enough to keep in ur car for trips.

A bit wobbly when in use but it gets the job done. The metal parts scratch easy and the paint on the metal parts gouge easy, so don’t drag it around or bang it into things. The product is very portable and super handy to make use of in different locations. You will get many years out of it with some careful handling.

I was skeptical how sturdy or how well build the stand would be. It’s solid. It was better quality than I expected. Works great.

This is an all-around well made bike stand. I’ve had it less than a month and think it’s pretty much paid for itself already. Makes it so much easier to do maintenance and get to places that you really can’t get to properly by laying the bike down or leaning it against something. I felt this would be a win. I was right.

You gotta know where the fulcrum is on any bike and either choose to grasp the bike seat post or the top frame. From there you can work on your bike easily. I had this for 2 months know and suddenly kids/parents in the neighorhood are stopping by to get their bikes fixed. 🙂

I’ve had this stand about 2 months now. I’m a casual bike rider, 10-20 miles a day, & have used it several times for thorough bike cleaning & chain care/maintenance (no, I don’t do repairs). It unfolds & folds easily & prevents a lot of unnecessary bending. I did not attach tool tray as I don’t need that. Clamp works fine, holds bike tight, & height/angle adjusts easily to position as needed. My bike weighs 35# & it’s stable enough. For those who do their own repairs, I’d say this is by no means a “professional” stand as far as stability, but for my use it was money well spent.

This thing is excellent purchase for the home bike mechanic, and it doubles as bike stand as well. I build e-bikes just for the fun of it. No more crawling around on my knees. Now I can roll around my project in my comfortable work chair. Very sturdy platform and adjustable in every way you can think of!!!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNever owned a bike stand befor. Getting back into riding and see any work is usually done on a stand as it makes life easier. This thing is amazing. Straight out of the box it was pre built. Pulled it out, unfolded and bam was ready to use. Only thing I had to put on was the tool tray that took all of 15 seconds. No tools required. The whole thing is easy to use, adjusts with ease, solid and lots of adjustments. I couldn’t be happier. 5 stars all day on this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersConsidering everything, I like it and would buy it again. Was stable the two times I used it. Getting the bike into the clamp when clamping at the vertical seat post can be a little tricky but that’s going to be a problem with any of them. I’m going to put something under the wheels like a piece of 4×4 wood to raise it enough to make it the right height so as not to have to lift while engaging the clamp and then lift the bike to working height. The price seems to be a reasonable deal for this.

Use this the first day I got it to fix a bike and it worked amazingly well. I cleaned my other bikes with it and mounted at a few different locations without issues.

This was more the test to see if I should spend the money on a nice one with a bit more weight to it. I expected cheaper than what I got so I’m quite pleased.

I bought this to keep in my RV so I could maintain the 2 MTB & 2 gravel bikes that travel with us. It is easy to unfold & extend & is quite stable with a bike on it. It folds up relatively compact so I can fit it in ‘the basement’ of the RV. I’m glad I bought this one!

Within 10 minutes of opening the box I had my bicycle on the stand and ready to work on it. I don’t remember the ad stating that the product is made in Taiwan but that would have been a big selling point on quality of the product. My only caution is that the stand is delivered with all locks in place so the legs will not extend unless you unlock it. My bicycle was not shifting properly and having the bike elevated so I could see what was happening as I shifted the gears and made the adjustment so much easier. No sense spending almost double for the “blue product”.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersComes fully assembled in it’s compact form, can take a couple minutes to figure out how it fully unfolds the first time, but is quite easy to do with the included instructions.

Use of quick release handles everywhere make adjusting height and orientation extremely quick yet the bike stand never feels like it would collapse in on itself accidentally. When done with bike work, collapsing the entire workstand into it’s compact form is also quick and effortless, and becomes compact enough to easily store in the garage.

There are some thoughtful elements to the design which requires certain latches to be pulled before the main work arm is allowed to be collapsed, which gives peace of mind your bike is going to stay where you intend it to, even if you accidentally left that particular quick release latch untightened.

However, do note the two-legged design, the bike stand does NOT come with any left-right swivel built into the design – The work arm only extends straight forward- in line with the 2 legs. This is actually a good thing for safety reasons; the bike covers the tripping hazard of the legs and ensures the mass of the bike is always dead centred between the 2 legs, so that the stand cannot topple over backwards. Swivel adjustment can still be achieved by simply picking up the whole bike stand – Bike and all, and simply rotating the whole thing, which is not as difficult as it sounds even when your bike is attached as the stand itself isn’t all that heavy.

I was unsure reading the reviews in this form. Purchased the stand and tested on my bikes holding by the seat post.

The stand is seems to hold up 30 bike max, not the 55 as listed.

Initially the stand does not fold up or down without some help. You need to fuss with each leg and finally it will slide down. The neck is also tricky to lock in place. Also the tool tray is kind of tricky to secure in.

When your setting the bike by the seat post. Have to balance the bike with one hand and twist like 6 + times to get it locked in.

After it’s setup seems to balance what I’ve loaded so far.

it’s not the $$$$ Park version, however for a general purpose seems to hold up so far.
For basic stuff, seems to do the job at a fraction of the price.

This stand is built to last. Very sturdy. Very well thought out options to hold a bike in many different positions and even the option (which comes in very handy) to rotate the bike without removing it from the rack. This really helped me when converting a beach cruiser from a single speed to a seven speed. Rear cassette only. Yes, I had to spread the rear hangers to make everything fit. I used a mechanical car jack and it was ok cause my bike has a steel frame. If you like working on your own bike, buy one NOW!

At the price, this is fantastic. I maintain my own bikes but couldn’t justify paying for a park stand (even though I still want one)- this thing does what I need it to. Light enough to throw in the trunk if I have a long day planned, just in case.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’ve had this bike mount for less than 2 weeks and I’ve already found it highly useful for quick repairs/adjustments to my bikes that have always been a hassle. That is especially true for my more vintage road bikes that are not possible to just flip upside down and tinker with on the fly like with a mountain bike (and even then, if you have stuff mounted on the handlebars like for a phone or light, you can’t do that so easily either). Holds the bike up nice and sturdy, there’s a neat little groove in the main clamp that accounts for the gearshift/brake cable; the little insert that you stick in the middle of the stand that folds out and holds all of your screws and nuts and bolts was a very clever idea too. I don’t have a need to make it portable or carry it around but the whole thing folds up into a shockingly small/slim little bundle that you could probably fit into a large backpack or duffel bag if you wanted. I ride every single day on really poorly maintained roads and alternate between commuter/mountain/road bikes so pretty much need to do minor maintenance on whichever bike I’m riding at least once a week, so it was/is a must have for someone like me but I still think it can be incredibly useful for someone who cycles less often or merely casually rides but wants to be a do-it-yourself type of person when it comes to bike maintenance. I was initially hesitant to purchase due to the price but I thought, if it ends up being half as useful as it’s turned out to be then it’s well worth it. So I am very satisfied, highly recommend this stand.

I’ve been procrastinating about getting a bike maintenance stand and finally decided on this one based on a friend’s recommendation. Straight out of the box it was ready to go. No assembly (other than adding the tool shelf, which I don’t use). I was able to quickly set it up and place my road bike on it. Super adjustable to height and angle of bike. I use the clamp on my seat post for reference. Was able to easily manipulate the crank, clean the chain, remove wheels et al. Excellent so far. After use it quickly folded up and retracted down to fit in the corner space in my garage. Used 3 times so far. I’ll update later on durability. Price point was perfect for a DIY at home.

I’m a newbie to working on my bike, but I read a good review somewhere and so I bought this stand. The good: It is light, it folds out easily, it is pretty sturdy, it is pretty portable (so you can put it away in a closet when you’re done), and the finish is actually nice. My only complaint is that the way the tray connects is absurd! The little plastic nuts barely fit past the nearby fitting, and they don’t screw in enough to make the tray sit nice and tight. It’s so silly that I went back and watched an assembly video again and again to see if I was missing something (the paper instructions they provided say nothing about the tray). Sadly, the designer just missed the ball on the tray aspect. Luckily though, the tray is the least important part of the stand, so not a big deal to me. Still, they only earn 4 of 5 stars.

  45. ClintDowney says:

     United Kingdom

A bit pricier than some other designs, but I suspect that this one will prove long-lasting and, just as important, is very well thought out and easy to use; also to store (I am storing mine partly assembled).

I found that for me I preferred placing the clamp under the bike’s top tube; clamping it on the seat post needs a bit more strength, and I sensed that the stand was a little unstable in this mode; I found there was limited space anyway due to a rear bottle cage on a small frame.

The fittings are of a thick polymer that seems very strong, almost military in feel and performance.

The makers claim that no lubrication is necessary-presumably because of the polymer fittings.

I wish I’d bought one of these years ago, instead of struggling when e.g. lifting the bike to turn the pedals when adjusting gears….

Rack stability is fine, at least up to 16kg. Rack folds easily. Biggest gripe is the depth of movement on the quick release. Maybe my expectations are wrong, but I imagined being able to get the bike in and clamped down just with the QR.

This does not work. It’s pretty close, tantalizing almost, but if the bike is secure in the gripper clamp, it will not fit through the edge of the grip when the QR cam releases. A few spins of the screw are always required. This is true both of the seatpost and top bar. Interestingly, it’s also true of the other QR cam that maintains the gripper angle, but I rarely mess with it (and never when I’m holding a bicycle).

Just getting it into use. Only issue so far is the weight of the ebike when actually try to tighten the clamp. If you are not young and into lifting with one arm it’s an issue. For me anyways. Work around is lower clamp at seat or bar height. Secure clamp. Raise bike to height needed and secure the height extension post. Practise makes perfect Best if you just get help. My bike weighs 48 lbs. Once balanced works fine.

I have been looking at bike repair stands and thought I had settled on a Park Tool 9.3. Before pulling the trigger on the 9.3 I figured I would take one more look before clicking the buy button. I stumbled across a video review of the Bikehand Repair Stand comparing it to 4 other alternative stands. It looked too good to be true. The price was $90 less than the 9.3 I had found online and included the tool/parts tray. I purchased the Bikehand stand instead. I thought for sure after I received it I would find the quality to be substandard. I have worked on two mountain bikes on the stand since it arrived and I am absolutely impressed! This stand is great! I mounted each bike in the stand by the seat post and was able to rotate the bikes to any position with no issue. It held the bikes securely and I was able to confidently perform the work with no issues. I replaced V Brake shoes, removed wheel assemblies and fix a couple flat tires on one bike. The removal of the wheels didn’t change the stability of the stand at all. The other bike I adjusted derailluers and detailed the bike. I was able to pedal the drivetrain with no obstructions and the stand maintained balance with no problem. Both bikes weigh in around 30-32 pounds. The build quality is great and the finish is amazing. Plus it actually comes with a tooI/parts tray. The tray for the 9.3 has to be purchased separately. I would absolutely recommend this stand and would purchase again with no regrets. If you are looking for a bike repair stand regardless of cost this stand is amazing. It works as good as stands that are double the price. DO IT, HIT BUY, you will not regret it!

We have five kids and a lot of bikes. One of my biggest frustrations is bike repair. I had absolutely no patience for it. Fumbling around with bikes on the ground (especially kid bikes) drove me nuts. But I also don’t like spending money on BS repairs that I could do myself so I bit the bullet and bought the Bikehand Repair Stand. And what a difference it makes. First of all, this thing is well built and almost completely assembled (which is great). It was bigger than I thought, but I understand why, it needs to be robust enough to handle the weight of the bike in an elevated position; plus it folds down to size for storage. This thing completely changed my attitude with respect to bike repair. Once unfolded the it provides a stable elevated platform where you can work comfortably on the bike. The telescoping poles are easy to adjust to fit the height you want to work at. The clamp which holds the bike has an adjustable spring feature that helps to quickly lock the bike down through a lever, very handy. The weight of the bike is stabilized by the extended feet that are easily deployed through undoing a lever. The rack also comes with a utility tray that you can attach to the main support. It actually is really handy, I use it to put the bolts, wrenches, etc on while working. My only regret is not getting one a lot earlier…I actually like working on bikes now because of this platform.

Just a word of caution, when I first used it, I was playing around with the clamp and opened it up too far and stored it without screwing down the clamp a little more…the little nut on the end managed to get loose and fall off but luckily I caught it. This is not a hit on the product, it was user error, just be careful you don’t completely loosen up the clamp and lose that hardware (nut, bolt, and spring) because that would render the product useless. Just keep it screwed in…I suppose you could get some locking nut that would fit on the end of the bolt to prevent a complete detachment but I don’t think that is necessary..just know the tool and how it works and you’ll be fine. Highly recommend this stand.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI live in an apartment and I wanted something where the legs didn’t take up a lot of floor space or a tripping hazard (ex. 3 or 4 legs sprawled out). This was ideal design for my small space and it didn’t take any more room than my bike leaning against the wall. Also, I now have a MTB bike with hydraulic disc brakes and turning the bike upside down may/will cause air bubbles in the brake lines. I needed a way to keep my bike upright while working on it.

My first impressions was that it’s lightweight, preassembled and easy to set up. (no instructions came with mine) I also noticed that the bike clamp on mine (and tool tray) weren’t inline with the stand. It sat a few degrees to the right (see pics).

    PROS:
    – Affordable BUT prices keep fluctuating ($90-$120). Mine was $99.
    – Sturdy and stable with a 29″ mountain bike w/small tool bag on it. (I believe my bike was around 32 lbs at the time?)
    – Lightweight and easy to maneuver.
    – Pre-assembled.
    – Easy to set-up. I haven’t pinched my fingers anywhere yet, so that’s awesome!
    – Easy quick release levers to adjust stand.
    – Folds down to size of a large camera tripod.
    – Great for light/medium maintenance at home or for personal use camping/biking.
    – Clamp is spring loaded so it stays open while loading your bike.
    – Clamp has notch so your cables don’t get smashed. (top and bottom)
    – Holds a variety of bike frame sizes and shapes.
    – Includes tool tray.
    – My hex/allen wrench included with my bike tool fit the hex/allen bolts on the stand. I was actually surprised!

    CONS:
    – Rotating clamp has plastic teeth (Should have been METAL). DO NOT rotate while the bike is on the stand. Also, DO NOT leave bike on stand longer than necessary. I noticed the teeth separate a tiny amount under that stress. So, I would suggest try not to move the bike around too much while it’s suspended. This part of the stand I’m going to watch carefully.
    – Tool tray/plate is not parallel to the floor. Tool tray is tilted at the same angle as the stand. Still works though.
    – “Magnet tray” consists of a tiny 1.5″x1″ magnet under one of the small storage squares.
    – Tool tray/plate screws onto the stand. The “bolt” consists of an aluminum housing with a plastic threaded insert. The plastic threaded insert made it very difficult to screw on by hand. I used pliers, but it started scraping up the “bolt”. The plastic threaded insert ended up popping out. Extremely poor quality. I was about to buy two new bolts, but found out the aluminum “bolt” has some threads. I was actually able to install it without the plastic inserts fairly easily.
    – Tool tray/plate doesn’t install tight to the stand. At the outside edge there is 0.5″ of play.
    – Bike stand doesn’t sit flush to the wall with tool tray installed. It has to sit approximately 2″-3″ away from the wall. Unable to move tray independently up the bike stand since it’s attached to the quick release.
    – No instructions (video on amazon and a reviewer uploaded a good video)

    TIPS:
    Be gentle with it!
DO NOT rotate the clamp while the bike is on the stand.
DO NOT leave bike on stand longer than necessary.
I bought a 13″ folding step stool from ACKO on Amazon, so I can sit and work on my bike.

Bottom line, I would recommend this for personal use.

Affordable, light and compact... Lacking 4.5-5 star quality though.

I gave this bike stand as a gift .. it was definitely admired by friends because they are now ordering one. I knew by the reviews it was a good bike stand for the money but I was even more surprised as it was put together what a sturdy, solid great product for a great price we got ..

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI have a bike stand built into my work bench but it’s restrictive to use and I’ve been looking at the Bikehand stands for a while. Arrived today and I immediately tried one of my MTB using the Top Bar then the Seat Post and finally the Bottom Bar and it held firm on all. The feet of the stand are under the bike and so there is no trip hazard moving around the bike. Plenty of room between the bike and frame to turn front wheel and move cranks. Felt solid all over including changing the angle of the grip to hold in different parts of bike.
Very happy I chose this stand.

A great help to say the least. I never thought I needed one until my wife purchased it for me. I thank her every time I use it.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersAfter more than forty years of working on bikes slung from overhead hooks or turned upside down on brakehoods and seat, I finally decided to splurge, save my poor old back and keep my blood pressure in control. Now, after spending a couple of hours fiddling with a triple chainwheel bike that’s always been an nightmare to tune, I’ve got a machine that clicks through 24 gears accurately and peacefully, wheels that spin without a hint of rim rub, and brakes that do exactly what they’re supposed to do. And my back is fine. The stand is sturdy enough to hold a heavy steel hybrid bike and adjusts easily to accommodate it, my lightweight machine and my mountain bike. Height adjustment has a wide range so you can sit while you work on the lower derailleur or stand comfortably fussing with the changers. I always though bike stands were for wusses, or people with more money than sense. For what I paid for this one, it’s been my best bike-related purchase for years.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersI was a bit concerned about this bike stand’s build quality and sturdiness when I placed the order. After I receive the product, my concerns were all gone. Its build quality is great, and it’s sturdy to hold my 29″ wheel MTB (approx 15 kg). I am very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend this product for whoever is looking for a portable bike stand. My friend even bought one immediately after he saw my bike stand.

I received the Bikehand Pro stand and immediately put it to use. I will be honest up front, I have not found anything that I dislike about this stand so far. OK, I would have liked it to include a bag, but at this price point that may be asking a bit much. I have also not owned it very long and cannot speak to its long-term reliability.

    Disclaimers:
    – I paid for my stand and am NOT a person that works for the “company”. I am just a middle-aged man looking for a maintenance stand so he could work on his bikes without sitting on the floor (my knees are definitely not what they used to be).
    – BE AWARE that this stand is NOT for cranking around on your bottom bracket or anything that requires a cheater pipe on your wrench. This stand has plastic and nylon parts and is for general maintenance. If you are going to do advanced work on your bike(s), do yourself a favor and step up to a full metal, tripod leg version of a stand. If you do try cranking out your bottom bracket and break this stand, do all of US a favor and don’t subject us to your complaints.

Here are the things I like about this stand:
    – Folds down fairly compact and is light. You’re not going to put in in the glove compartment, but it will pack nicely with your other gear.
    – Comes with the parts tray which is the only assembly needed when setting it up.
    – Extremely easy to setup. Getting the feet and post extended are extremely easy. Once you get the feet extended and the post at the height you want it, you don’t need to crank on the tightening levers to get it to stay. Don’t get me wrong, they can’t just be flopping around, but you don’t need to tighten the nut very much before you rotate the lever closed. I tested the post position stability after tightening the lever nut such that I could easily rotate the lever closed. I wanted to mention this because I have always lived by the rule that “it can’t be tight enough”. So, I started on the loose side and tested from there. Like any tightening lever, you will break these if you continue to close them with too much pressure on them.
    – Getting the head to the correct position and getting the clamp set correctly to close on your bike are both extremely easy and intuitive. I have only had my bike horizontal to the ground, but I used the stand head vertically on the seat post and horizontally on the top tube. Both provide very good stability. The clamp has channels in both the top and bottom jaws for brake and shifter cables allowing you to easily work on your derailleurs and brakes.
    – The stand is very stable with any of my bikes in it. Even when testing the shifting and spinning the crank and wheel at high speeds, I didn’t feel at any time that the stand would not hold up or become unstable.
    – The stand posts and all mechanisms are very simply designed which made it extremely easy to clean up before putting it away.

Now, here is what I HAVE done with the stand so far:
    – Cleaned and lubed 3 mountain bikes (chain, back cluster, front chain rings, frame),
    – Adjusted front and back derailleurs and brakes on all 3 bikes.
    – Replaced a back brake cable on 1 bike.
    – Replaced one back drop out.
    – Swapped out a seat (found it easier with the seat post clamped in upside down).

Here is what I HAVE NOT done:
    – Any adjusting on the handle bars or headset, replaced pedals or anything to do with the bottom bracket. (When I do any of these I will loosen the bolts before I hang the bike due to the amount of force typically needed to “crack” them loose.)

Overall, I highly recommend this stand for the general care and feeding of your bikes. It is compact, easy to setup, sturdy, versatile and easy to clean. Now, stop reading this and order one. Then get on the pedals, get the bike(s) dirty and in need of maintenance, setup your new stand, clean and maintain your bike(s), rinse and repeat.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersFirst impressions right out of the box…. This rack is amazing. I looked at that other brand, You know the blue one, and I’m so glad I saved the money and went with this one. The build quality is outstanding. I wouldn’t be able to justify spending any more money on a rack that would do the same thing this one will. The assemble? Can you open a box? That’s it. Read the other reviews if you must but take my word for it this is the rack you need if you want to work on your bike at home.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersIf this was made of steel, it would still move a bit when something is dangling from it, so although it’s not as sturdy as a wall mounted device, it works incredibly well. Wish it would have come with a handlebar stabilizer, which I ordered separately. The clamp is made of very durable and THICK plastic with rubber clamps to protect your bike, the height clamp works very well as does the telescopic post. Wish the clamp had a better quick release option, but once tightened, it’s not moving. I still cant believe the quality and ruggedness of the entire unit for $120. More than pleased and highly recommended. It folds up quite nicely so taking with us if we go camping or take our bikes any distance will be convenient.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf you’re looking to do your own maintenance of your bike (commuter or weekend warrior road bike) this bike stand is brilliant. Easy to set up and store. This sturdy, smooth and good value for money. I’m planning to take a few more classes on bike repair, but in the meantime, it works super well for cleaning, lubricating and keeping everything tightened up! Nice addition to the shed.

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersI got tired of struggling to clean & lube my bike by leaning it against a wall or step so started to hunt for an affordable bike stand. Much as I’d like a Big Blue stand, they are outside my budget. After comparing similarly-priced stands on Amazon, I found this stand is an affordable compromise. I had no issues setting it up once I managed to open the bottom quick release – it was really, really tight.

I have a carbon bike (frame & seatpost) and clamp my bike in via the seatpost with no problem. I found that once I got the angle of the clamping mech set, it’s just a matter of opening the jaws wide enough to slip the seatpost in and holding the bike up while I tighten and/or rotate the clamp. The add-on tray is a bonus and I’ve already found it handy. For now, I leave it set up in my garage, but come winter, will fold it up and bring it in the house.

If you have a really heavy bike, you might find a four-legged stand more suitable, but for my sub-20# bikes, this stand does the job.

I’ve been very impressed with this.

Lifts bikes up to the perfect height.
Strong and sturdy, even in my garden which is on a very slight incline
Used a few times for cleaning and adjusting 2 different bikes.

Clamp mechanism hasn’t left a mark on either seatpost, and seems really sturdy.

Attachable tray is exceptionally useful, slots for tools and trays for bits. This too is sturdy.

    Very happy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have just finishing building my 1st bike since I was a child and really didn’t want to be crawling about on the garage floor so I ordered this to assist me. Considering the price I didn’t have high expectations so was blown away with how well this performed. It’s stable and has plenty of adjustment both vertically and in rotationally. The clamp is wide so spreads the load evanly and gently in its cushioned jaws, it left no marks on my ti frame or carbon seatpost.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersConsidering how much this cost, I cannot believe how good it is. Jaws and adjusters are some sort of plastic, but it’s dense and strong so don’t let that put you off. If I needed two work stands I would buy this again. I leave it up, but it can easily be folded for storage. I only ever clamp the seat post and raise the rear wheel, leaving the front wheel resting on the ground, which is perfect for chain cleaning and gear indexing.

Probably the most useful accessory I have ever bought for me and my families cycles. Whether its just adjusting the brakes and gears or a major operation like replacing the cranks, I have found it invaluable. Sturdy support. Packs away well and the quick release clamps make it fast to put up or take down. Very adjustable for height, angle of the clamp, etc. I cannot think of anything I would change about it.

Good design. Good functionality. Good craftsmanship. Good materials. Easily a 5-star for the price (about $90).

Design: Two legs pointing forward allows placement closer to a back wall than a three legs would. In other words, you can keep it off to the side of a room, and not be as intrusive in the middle of the room. Also, center of weight for the bike is roughly balanced over the middle of the two legs. So a third leg wouldn’t add any stability. I found it to be quite stable, even at the highest level. I used it with a 18lb bike. But I would be comfortable using with a bike that weighs twice as much.

I’m over 6’1″ and find that it extends quite tall. It meets/exceeds my expectations. Perhaps I could consider working on the bottom bracket for a long time and wanting an extra foot of extension, but that might just be asking for instability. Plus, I think I could achieve a better setup by simply clamping on the seat tube or down tube (effectively raising the bike without raising the stand).

It quickly folds up and down. It’s reasonably small when folded. Honestly, I don’t know how they could have made it smaller. But keep in mind it’s bigger than a sturdy camera tripod, so expect that.

The tool tray came with a couple nuts to fix it to the stand. But those are only needed if you want it permanently secure. You can also just rest the bolts of the tray into the holes on the stand and it will be stable enough to hold tools. This way it will be quick to remove when folding up the whole stand. Otherwise you’ll have to spend another 30 seconds to loosen the tray first. No biggie either way.

There is a magnet mounted to the backside of one of the sections of the tray. So one of the sections has that feature, but you can use other sections if you don’t want that. Nice additional feature.

Functionality: I’ve got a fat irregular carbon fiber top tube (2014 Cannondale Supersix evo) and the clamp held it in all places of that tube, including the skinniest and fattest sections. It rotates nicely and goes up and down nicely.

Addressing issues others posted: Someone said the interlocking teeth to set the rotation of the bike didn’t engage. I could see how this could be the case with a simple usage misunderstanding. I believe the instructions say to engage the quick release toggle cam to engage these teeth to fix the angle of the grip. In my unit, that fastener is not a quick release toggle cam. But it is a hand operable threaded fastener. In other words, you can’t engage the teeth by flipping out the handle, but you can engage the teeth by rotating the handle. Works perfectly. It could have been designed with a cam, but it wasn’t. And I have no trouble with it whatsoever. It only takes a few seconds to engage–literally.

Craftsmanship: The pieces are manufactured well and the finish is good.

The materials seem high quality and appropriate. Nicely finished aluminum and possibly injection molded ABS.

Wishes: May have been nice to have a front wheel stabilizer, but honestly, I’ve never had one and don’t know how well they work or how much value it brings. I wouldn’t have wanted to pay extra for it, so I think the current offering is nicely balanced.
