My PC is in a room in a roof extension of a large-ish three-story house. The Wi-Fi router is two floors down in the lounge. My PC is under a desk and, previously, the aerial attached to the PCI card at the back only received a maximum signal of around 12 Mbps. I plugged in this antenna and ran it along my floor so that it was directly above where the router was installed in the lounge. Now I’m getting a maximum signal of around 32 Mbps, so I’d definitely call that a positive result, and one that I’m pleased with.

BTW: for the techy minded amongst you, my PC Wi-Fi card is now over 6 years old and is a Wireless 802.11N 150 Mbps PCI-E card, so quite outdated really, and yet this antenna has helped the old boy chug along with more power than previously.

On the whole then, I would recommend this product and thought it was very good value for the money spent.

Like many others who bought this they were skeptical, so was I.

I’ve had to move my pc downstairs as my room is being re-done, and is as far away from the router as it could be

On my old antenna I would constantly drop signal on 2.4 Ghz and was very unreliable, and don’t even get me started on 5 Ghz was unusable

But this new one is great! It’s getting great speeds on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz now and very reliably too.

I will update if anything changes but for now this seems like a great purchase

Edit: after some re adjusting the position now getting 70mbps on 5Ghz, even better!

Took the risk, it was worth it!

Purchased for use with my mobile router in the campervan. They have a magnetic base which means they can be fixed on the van roof (When Stationary) They provide a reasonable signal, but of course it depends on the area your in. Over all cheap, cheerful and effective.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDespite the various negative reviews of these antenna I thought I would take a chance anyway as there seemed to be as many positive reviews. They arrived next day and were really simple to connect and easy to position using the magnetic bases. They are connected to a PCIe Bewinner Universal 2.4G+5G Dual Band Wireless Card for Intel 7260AC
and I went from an intermittent one bar connection strength to the full five bars immediately on booting my PC. The connection is now stable and strong. There were no problems for me and they seem to be doing exactly as described.

    They worked fine for me

It solved an issue of weak to no signal from a wireless camera on the rear of an articulated trailer to inside cab.
I think mainly because I can put this ariel on the roof of the truck.

These are best suited I think to plug into your PC wireless card, if your PC is under your desk the signal will be pretty weedy, but these can be mounted on your desk, up on your screen in the open air to increase signal, very happy with the increase in my internet speed.

I was having some WIFI issues whereby the PC to my left was giving 5mbps download but my laptop to the right was 20mpbs. After some trial and error I figured out that the metal desk legs where messing with the signal. So I fitted these up high on the desk to the PC WIFI card and now 32mbps. They are magnet as well which is useful.
