Well………2nd pair so i thought I’d share my love of these boots! Very comfortable and feet dry when wet, need braking in for a week or so but once the leather has soften up they are a joy to wear13 hours plus on feet and no complaints ………. and 35 quid you can’t go wrong!

Been wearing them every day for past 2 weeks for work/driving my lorry. They are comfortable and clean easily. Steel toe cap done its job as I stupidly dropped a ton palet of coal on my toe. Hopefully will last for a while as already took a battering and seem to be holding up.
I have bought from this seller before and will buy again .Any one who works in the construction industry knows safety comes first and these boots are up to code
I am retired and use these boots frequently for gardening and general outside work, although probably not as much as some one in full time work. I waited 6 months to do this review, as just out the box reviews are meaningless. I tried 6 pairs back-to-back using the Amazon ‘Try before you buy’ service before choosing these Black Hammer boots which were the most comfortable, one the lightest (as well as being one of the cheapest). 6 months later they are still comfortable and in good condition. They have proved waterproof in ‘wet grass’ conditions – however I use wellington boots if I am going into standing water. The laces are still fine and they are easy to get on and off. I get good grip from the sole pattern. Overall I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Very comfortable and lightweight. Those toe-caps are plenty sturdy. I can’t work out why people think there’s no water resistance. Just this morning at work I had them submerged underwater and they didn’t let any water in.
I’m a U.K. size 11 and I therefore ordered an 11. It’s a good fit. Surprisingly comfortable. Worn on six occasions so far working at my volunteer gardening job. No problems so far but time will tell.

Worn in rain and walked through puddles no leaks so far.
Changed the insoles as didn’t like the raised points.
Just put in some odour eater in very comfy.
Sole looks like will last some time and non slip.

Great quality safety boots. Dispatch & Delivery was quick. Fit the hubby like a charm, “really comfy” he says. They help in supporting his troubled ankle too so that’s a bonus =). He usually wears those trainer type safety shoes which give no ankle support and he’d come home at times with soaking wet socks & feet when it rained Or as a plumber a flood of sorts had occurred because most, If not all these trainer types are not waterproofed. I purchased these boots to save myself from him getting ill (man flu) during winter.
Usually I have to wear 2 pair of socks and wear the boots for a few hours max until I get used to them. But these boots are really comfy. Very smart as well.

Really comfortable boots! even after 5 12hr shifts and I’m stood up for at least 11 hours a day, took a couple of shifts to loosen up/stretch but wasn’t overly uncomfortable just my fault for having feet like frodo! Feel pretty light compared to my old CAT ones too! Would definitely consider buying another pair when these bite the dust!

My son was suffering with his feet as he works long shifts outdoors. He started to develop early signs of trench foot. These boots are very comfortable, lightweight and waterproof but also allow his feet to breathe. The problem he had cleared up after a few days wearing these boots. Definitely recommend.

Initially had discomfort in right boot across bridge however this was probable a consequence of my feet as this issue is experienced in other footwear. Over the course of the week the discomfort has receded with overall comfort good. Wearing safety boots in my work place is essential these boots provide comfort and confidence whilst working.
Got these yesterday afternoon in Amazon’s black Friday event. (58% off). Tried them on and pottered about the house in them… Comfy from the start. Did a 10 hour night shift and 28473 steps, and my feet don’t ache half as much as they did in my old ones, Though to be fair they are very knackered. Really comfortable and a good supporting fit around the ankle. Can’t comment on the water proofing or the wearability yet but time will tell.

These boots are comfortable. I wore them for seven hours on the first day, straight out of the box, without any discomfort. I have narrow feet and usually wear a size 5 (38), occasionally a 5 1/2. These in a size 5 are borderline large, both in width and length, with plenty of room for thick socks. Despite this the boots did not rub my feet or cause any problems. I would buy them again.
Quite how Amazon expect an in depth review after only a few days of ownership of a product is beyond me. Never the less. The supplier delivered the boots well packed and on time.
These boots appear to be well made and I find them a comfortable fit. I have fitted an inner sole for extra foot support which makes the boots a snug fit but not uncomfortably so. So far I’ve found the boots to be comforable for a days work. How long will they last? Only time will tell. Would I buy them again? Possibly, if they last 2 years then yes I would buy them again. Would I recommend them? Well, so far Im happy with my purchase.

Got these boots for work as my previous pair had had their day. A good price a read the reviews from previous customers which were encouraging about them. Has a cushioned heel which is what I like and need.

Very sturdy but not particularly comfortable, changed the insoles for gel ones which helps a little however, they are relatively cheap and do the job.

– Very sturdy and strong
– Incredible Grips (copes easily with smooth floors, wet floors etc)
– Comfortable (consistently wear them for around 30 hours a week and have no issues)
– Value for money
Drawbacks.
– Weighted (much like hiking boots it feels like 10 tonnes of sand is in each boot, although this is something you’d likely grow accustomed to)
– size measurements aren’t accurate (I’m a size 11 and I ordered a size 11, however they have far too much toe room, I have to tighten them considerably in order to make them manageable
Overall I would DEFINITELY recommend, however be careful in which measurements you choose.

I’ve been wearing Black Hammer shoes for about 5 years now and this last pair lasted me almost 2 of those years. No joke. Black Hammer are like the Energizer bunny of safety shoes – they just keep going and going!

This is actually my second purchase of these boots. As I found with the last pair, they do need a better insole. I have purchased a separate pair of insoles to compensate.

Great value work boots. Mid priced but good value. Steel caps good. Seem water tight up to now. Slightly heavy but get used to them. Yeah I will purchase another pair for spare. Worth the money.
Wasn’t sure what to expect, most boots i order online have been too big or small when i order a size 10… but these boots, pleasantly surprised, are actually a size 10 and fit perfectly.

Only recently had these boots so cannot give any opinion on their longevity. Suffice to say they are true to size and quite comfortable. Considering the safety features in the toe and sole they are surprisingly light. So can recommend them.

Bought these for my husband. He’s delighted at how comfortable they are and how easy they go on! Can’t comment on durability yet as he only got them a few days ago. These are for farm work not heavy duty building work but he is well chuffed with them.

I got these work boots for my husband and he loves, them great for work.
Really comfortable. They don’t seem like a cheap pair of boots to me but thats probably because they were originally over 70 quid, reduced to just over 30. Bargain. Snap these up while you can.
I bought these for my other half as his previous pair had split. They were also Black Hammer and had lasted 18 months of seriously hard wear! He’s on his feet, up and down ladders/scaffolding all day every day and in all weathers. He said they were super comfy from day one and had no issues whatsoever – none of the usual “wearing in” blisters! Highly recommended but we had to return the first pair as they were slightly smaller than his usual size – one size up fitted perfectly.

Usually I cannot find shoes or boots to fit . Not so this time . These boots are absolutely perfect fit and really are ‘true to size’. I found them to be instantly very very comfortable and super easy to get on and take off . I cannot recommend them highly enough . I usually don’t review items but these are so wonderful they deserve it . ! You will love wearing them .

These are my first ever pair of safety shoes which I now wear for work.
They seem great value being leather uppers. They’re quite heavy and I did purchase some more sole inserts to make them more padded which did improve the overall comfort.
Time can only tell how durable they are but so far I have no complaints about them.
