Super fast delivery. Boots are a great fit and very comfortable , they look well made. Don’t know how hard wearing or water proof they are yet but pleased after first day of use!

I work in a garden nursery where at any time I can be in mud, hardcore, paving, greenhouse etc. These boots are marvelous.
As a woman I find the sizing and fit of mens work boots better. They look good too.
One drawback, the laces provided! Long flat laces that actually remain fastened would make these boots 100%
Bought these boots and another pair of Black Hammer shoes. This is my second review of their products. These boots are great in the snow. Definitely waterproof!
The size is as expected. The left shoe fits perfectly and so comfortable. But… the right shoes sole seems like it is incorrectly fitted (almost like it’s similar to the left shoe). The right side of the sole on the right shoe is raised, causing me to walk with my foot at an angle.
It gets better after a few hours in (once the cushion is compressed), but not great in the beginning. Maybe I’m just unlucky, but battling with both pairs of shoes.
Always risky buying a new pair of gardening/working boots. Having read the reviews of these boots I was a little apprehensive but I needn’t have been. I take a 10 normally and the size 10 boot was a good fit. Very comfortable. They’re definitely waterproof. They do get quite warm but I’m not in them all day so it’s not a problem for me. Some of the previous reviews were critical of the laces but so far I’ve not experienced any issues. Still early days but this is a robust boot which I think will last me a long time. Pleased
For my Grandson it’s a 3rd pair for him as they take a lot of battering in his job but they are ideal and he loves them

Easy to put on and off. Working in the garden.
Always dubious when reading descriptions however on this occasion they are spot on, I’m a delivery driver and these felt very light on the foot which is good for me and after the downpour of rain the last couple of days I can confirm they are in fact waterproof.

I wish I could have found a boot like this 45 years ago,comfortable on concrete and out in the fields and woods,the real test will be durability and water resistance ,I have only been wearing them for two weeks for work,i will re review in six months.Thanks
Very comfortable boot. Non slip and great value compared to other similar boots which were much more expensive.
I deliver and collect heavy parcels so I needed a boot that would be waterproof, comfortable and have a steel toe cap. This boot has it all.
These are the first boot I have ever bought the are comfortable to work in. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has to work in safety boot all day.
Like them a lot. Practical. Don’t feel the steel toe cap. Comfortable. With a high instep it can be a little unforgiving at the start of the stitching near tongue. Once warn in a lot better. Good buy.

Have worn these for the last 2 weeks in work and they have been great. For the money I can’t say a bad thing about them. Can’t comment and don’t wish to experience if the steel toe cap is effective.
With toe-rectors I remembered to buy one size up as I’d be wearing with thick socks – bought for gardening they’re just great and easy to clean as the clear of the sole is not too deep – replaced a worn out pair of shoes which had slip resistant rubber soles and whilst these are more solid just love the simplicity – inexpensive and expect them to last for years …. time will tell but great buy
I wear these boots all day as a lorry driver, they may be a bit big for me as I always order one size up when purchasing safety wear as sometimes the steel toe cap can rub my little toe and cause me discomfort.
They are easy to put on and lace up, and have anti slip laces so they don’t keep coming close during the day.
I find them very comfortable and not heavy to wear. So far they seem very capable of withstanding both dirt water and keep my feet dry and comfortable.
For the price I was not expecting too much. However they certainly live up to all the claims. They are super comfortable and would certainly recommend them.
Not bad for the price, the laces feel pretty cheap but as far as the boot goes not to bad at all!
I am in the other halfs good books finally! I brought him these,he is a scaffolder so footwear gets a lot of abuse. His tootsie’s are warm and dry and he says they are like marshmallows they are so comfy. Thank you!!
I like the close fitting, which is a seldom thing for me as I have quite narrow feet. If you have wide feet you may find these boots a bit tight.
I like walking in them. They are flexible enough to give the impression I could walk all day without problems.
I don’t like the plastic laces. They just don’t “feel” right when pulling them tight. It is probably because I am old-fashioned and used to cotton/leather laces.
The boots I normally buy have trebbled in price thanks to covd and bexit. So I gave these a try. Glad I did. Better than dickies for comfort and weather proof. Had them about a month now and really happy. Will buy agai

The picture is the first pair I bought 7 months old I do a lot of manual heavy lifting and have not a had a problem with them
People have 1 starred them I don’t no why for 33.00 pound what do you want I have dewalt boots etc and they was rubbish
Bought this for gardening and the boots came quickly at a good discount.
Ordered a size larger than normal shoe size so I can wear thick socks to garden in during autumn/winter. This gives a very comfortable fit. Unlike one or two comments I saw, width is good.

I had been looking for a pair of work boots that were both comfortable and waterproof. These boots are both. I normally take a UK 8 or 8.5 but went with a 9 and it was an excellent fit. Some reviews said go for a size below but would not have worked for me. I have had these for a month now and can wear them all day as they are very comfortable. I can also confirm they are waterproof as I regularly walk through long grass in our fields. Excellent value for money when compared with the more famous brands. Highly recommend.
Great boots – very comfortable and comfortable all day . Top caps can rub on the ridge but these don’t. I have a high arch but not tight. Lots of support around the ankle. Can’t speak for water proof as yet, but throughly recommend. Great fast service/delivery

Easy to put on . The ankle isn’t too high so doesn’t rub . Although I would recommend just a bit more than ankle socks . Comfy all day long .

I bought a second pair for use at home or walking outside, replacing two other general light walking boots. These are wet proof and with further treatments are water proof. Highly thought of & recommended.
I’m a gardener so bought these to replace other style black hammer boots. Worn all day today and found comfortable enough. Bit clumpy when driving though. Found debris easily entering top of boot meaning needed emptying several times.

i am pleased with my black hammer safety work boots,delivered within 2 days they look well made and good value for money. i take a size 8 and they were spot on for size .they are comfortable to wear for a work boot .i find they can be a bit warm to wear on hot days and your feet can sweat a bit , but most of the time they are fine .not had them long enough yet to see how water proof they are , but seem okay so far.
Great value for money. Had them for two weeks now and they are very comfy. I walk a lot at work and my feet feel so much better at the end of the day compared to the last pair of boots I had. They are light and comfy.
Great boots. Feel very durable, have had quite a few would-be accidents at work involving industrial doors and heavy loads colliding with my shoes, and these boots shrug off the impacts like nothing even happened. Comfortable enough, certainly not boots you’d take on a long trek, but perfectly comfy for a long day at work.
Don’t know what that other guy was saying about them being useless when it comes to water, I’ve found these boots haven’t let in any water from rain, puddles or spillages yet. Feet have been dry as a bone, besides a bit of sweat here and there (boots can be a bit toasty at times, but not to an uncomfortable level).
They grip very well, haven’t had any trips or slips with them yet. One downside with the grips is how squeaky they can be on some surfaces, and standing unevenly can make some strange squealing noises between the grooves in the base of the boots as the material contracts and expands.
Minor concerns aside, great boots. Look pretty great, feel great, keep my feet safe and dry, and do it for a very reasonable price.
Comfortable no breaking in needed. Time will tell how long they last. Easy to put on and take off unlike some.

The steel toe from inside is in contact with skin the fabric used inside should be more thicker enough especially where the steel toe is situated to give more comfort.
This was a repeat order . The sole of the first pair began to separate from the boot at the instep after 6 months hard wear which I felt was reasonable. The boots fit well and offer the protection I wanted from them. They are not too heavy or cumbersome to wear.
My son loves these boots and has worn previous pair til soles are dropping off! His place of work gave him safety boots which immediately caused a huge blister so he asked specifically for a new pair of these ones! Very good value for money.

Very well made, strong and very comfy. I’m a size 12 wide foot, and these are a really good wide fit, and I struggle to get well fitting boots, especially with a steel toe cap, as it can rub either side. But these are well fitting and wide, no rubbing. . Highly recommend.

They’re comfortable & lightweight. My ankles don’t feel stiff in them. I’m not sure if they’re completely waterproof though.
In my opinion these boots are everything you could want….tough, waterproof,and so,so comfortable.I use them for work and also walking my dog through woodland,mud,torrential downpours and they never let me down.I treat them to boot polish and shine them and they are smart enough to wear around town( occasion permitting, obviously).Have no hesitation in recommending these boots,love them.
Very good shoe.. really a hammer can’t feel any tray when it drops on my leg but the front part is ripping off

Recently purchased another pair as back up to the pair I am using on a daily basis. They fit but have not used them If they perform as well as the existing exact pair then I shall be happy. Hope this helps.
I buy a new pair of these and wear them continuously at work as a bicycle courier for 6 months at a time before the sole breaks and I need another pair. If theres a longer lasting 25ish workboot out there, I dont know what they are.

The grip is awesome on the smoothe flors at work when they are wet. Everyone else is mincing about trying to not split their kipper. 🙂 Also out walking the dog in mud and wet grass in the forest, 100% waterproof, even over the foot area.. bone dry. I wear these for 12hr shifts on my feet all the time. My only issue is that they are a bit warm for me so I get slightly sweaty feet. I do run hot though and most will appreciate the heat retention. Very easy to wipe clean and the material (is it leather?) is tough. These have a proper man sized toe cap that I can get my toes in. My big and little toe rubbed slightly for a couple of days but all good now.
I think these are fantastic value for money and will happily buy again.
I bought a pair of these for fork as I tend to spend around 12 hours on foot almost daily.
I’m two weeks in and these are by far the most comfortable pair of workboots I’ve ever had! Not only that but they are as sturdy as advertised, having withstood a couple of very sticky situations.
If you’re having any doubts, don’t! These are the shoes for you!
Wasn’t as comfortable as I was expecting but offers great protection and is really sturdy. Might need to break them in a bit more.
Fantastic boots for the price …waterproof and seeing I work with sewage they keep feet dry and leather stitching his holding up to the destructive attributes of sewage .
Best pair of boots I ve had
Light and very comfortable. I polish them on a lunch break in my job once a fortnight. They come up absolutely eye catching black. The women in the job all admire the boots and ask me about them. Alas if only I was a single man again.. Dream on. My advice buy them especially if you work indoors. I cannot vouch for how they preform outdoor working.
Fabulously comfortable. I can wear them walking the dog. But for chopping, sawing logs, digging and general heavy duty DIY they are unbeatable. Even the laces are unbreakable.
Not your usual looking work boots, much lighter and they didn’t need breaking in. Husband loves them, says they feel comfortable throughout the day, and they’re easy to clean. Not sure how long they will last bit would definitely buy agai
I use these for work in the garden and when we volunteer to work in our local park twice a month. Good solid boot with the usual steel toe protection.
Good service, wearable safety shoes. Not as waterproof as expected ie the shoe did get a bit damp inside but still better than what my son was wearing
Was surprised by how comfortable the shoes are. Have had them a month now and wear several times a week for gardening and fishing. They have proved to be waterproof, supportive band good value. Now in need of a clean and hope to get good wear out of them.
These boots are really comfortable and light but give excellent support. The reason for only 4 stars is that I have only worn them in the dry and do not know how they will hold up when it rains. I am on my feet all day in all weathers so they needed to be comfortable, can’t complain about that. Hopefully they will keep my feet dry then I will definitely purchase again, fingers crossed.
For a change I’ve stumbled across a very comfortable work boot I’ve worn safty boots for thirty years now these are by far the most comfortable I have ever owned and the laces are innovative easy to tie and undo but never loosen themselves well done

Grip could be slightly better but that’s minor.

Just bought my second pair of these boots. The last pair have lasted since last October (2018), very good for all the walking I do, and working in the chemical industry. They are still in one piece, but the insole has started to give with a lump developing just behind the toes in one of them, which is causing me a bit of pain. I could have put some insoles in, but at this price, why bother?
I really like these boots but the sole started to come away from the boot after 5 months of being worn 5 days per week. I emailed Black Hammer & sent photos. They replied within 24 hours & immediately dispatched a new pair. So check your boots before the 6 month warranty expires.
These boots are nice and wide and very comfortable, although you do need to insert some insoles if you are going to be walking around in them all day. There isn’t a great deal of padding in the soles, but for what they cost this is a small price to pay. I don’t know whether they are waterproof yet as it hasn’t rained.
So far so good. Still going strong no signs of them falling a part yet. Comfortable to wear had a few rub marks blisters on my little toe. A mix of steel toe cap and the movements involved in the job strongly recommend these boots if like me you buying new every few months. The come with a 6month warranty on them as well good to know
Boots arrived promptly,I am happy with fit so far but cannot give five stars as I have not had them in full use yet.Hope they last longer than my last pair which are not a year old and the soles are lifting away from the uppers and letting in water.(They are the same make but a different model).
Bought these boots for my partner who is on His feet all day and who goes through footwear on a regular basis. The longest a pair of boots has lasted is 3 months.
The reviews were good for comforbility but yet to see if the 6 month sole guarantee lives up to the test.
1 year on and absolutely fantastic. Waterproof and they cope with half a marathon of walking daily with still no holes in sole
These boots will be used twice a week for outdoor working on nature reserves. The true test of their quality can only be gauged after a minimum of 3-6 months. I will be looking to see how they wear, how they protect me, how they clean up and how waterproof they are.
ONE YEAR REVIEW: Still wearing them to work every night with a new sponge insole, the material on the toe has ripped but that is due to myself kicking pallets and other metal machinery but I am surprised at how little it has ripped. I honestly think I can wear these for another year until I need to replace them. I will be buying these again as they are fantastic value for money.
I would happily give more stars if I could, very happy with these boots.
Brought these in April 2018, I use this for work (Paramedic) and they have been well and truly abused and used in all weather and surfaces.
I have not had any problem with them until the last few weeks (slight lump in base has occured), so lasted around 9 months. Although they have only lasted 9 months, they have been used for 12-13 hour shifts and on average 4-5 times per week and I have never had more comfy work shoes!. We get issued very expensive boots, which I find incredible uncomfortable, which is why I brought these and about to buy another pair!.
I really can’t find a fault for the price and just about to try my second pair. I honestly feel if I didn’t work so much / long shifts they would last longer, so feel the expiry is job related.
I am normally a size 9 but a size 10 fitted perfectly. Used the boots underground in 2 inches of water and feet stayed dry. Brilliant. Thanks Black Hammer. Bought a second pair and fitted perfectly. Great boots
Most wonderfully comfy work boots, I brought a size bigger than I tend to be as a always do with work boots and they fit perfectly From the first day straight out of the box they felt good I’ve had no blister rubbing or anything

I have very broad feet, so finding shoes that fit can be a pain. The Black Hammer boots are broad enough that my feet don’t feel compacted. The insole is very comfortable – which is great when you’re on your feet a lot – and evenly spreads the pressure of your feet. The laces thus far seem very good quality. The metal toe shroud is pronounced enough that it covers my toes, but doesn’t dig into my feet as I walk. All in all, would definitely buy again.
I haven’t had these long enough to judge how durable they are however they seem well made. They are comfy enough, not as comfy as lighter / non steel toe cap boots I suspect.
They arrived quicker than expected which was great. I hope they last as long as I think they should!
The boot looks very well made with leather uppers and grippy sole. Haven’t had them on for a lengthy period but they seem well padded and comfortable. A bit on the roomy side but better that way than tight. Very satisfied particularly at the price.
They say the sole is guaranteed for 6 months…Yeah right I think…not with 17k steps a day around a city! not a chance…
Well, I’m happy to report that while there wasn’t much of the heel left, they lasted 6.5 months and buying my next pair of boots was a very easy choice. The second paid fit as well as the first and I’m a happy bloke!
Nice and comfortable, I have been wearing them for two weeks and have not had any problems with breaking them in, well worth the money.

A comfortable shoe, the only wear a crease across the right foot, in my driving job I obviously use my right foot more, will buy again.
I have bought another pair, they are very comfortable and do not need to be worn in.
Boots are OK, only negative comment I would make are they are a bit heavy but that’s probably due to the toecap and sole protection to be fare. Yet to wear them in the wet to see if they are waterproof but site kept asking for feed back. So there you go.
I have bought these boots before for two of my brothers as a gift, they both like them because they are waterproof and they say they don’t slip. I would say yes to these boots to buy. I will be ordering these again for the other brother later. Thanks for the waterproof because i can not get them anywhere else that works like these do.
These boots were for my husband. He is a general labourer in the construction industry so it is important that as well as being safe they are comfortable and waterproof especially in the current winter weather. He wore them the day after receiving them and is highly delighted with them. He says they are extremely comfortable and definitely waterproof!
My husband has a narrow foot and finds it hard to find boots that really support him and these seem to be just the thing. Still wearing them in but he is happy with them so far. Hope they will stand up to his hard use but very happy so far.
Early days yet, but these were easy to break in, I have had these on for up to 16 hours a day over the last few weeks, no issues, even in the rain, my feet have stayed dry and warm, but not sweaty, only negative is that the laces need to be doubled knotted, as they do come lose if not.
Seems like a really good buy thus far, I hope they last a well as definitely good value when compared to my last pair which cost three times the price!!
I bought these boots a size up so I could add extra insoles to help absorb vibrations while at work as I have problems with my legs. Practically deigned with a good style and feels like good quality.
Time will tell how well they last. Good value for money.

Very comfortable boots. Well made and generous in size. My ideal size is between 9 and 9.5 but the 9′ s that I’ve got have plenty of room for thick socks etc. So good, so far and what looks like excellent value for money.
I use the boots primarily for walking the dogs. I used to use a cheap fell walking boot which was more expensive but only lasted 3 months. These boots have lasted twice as long for less money. The laces wore on my first pair but they have been modified on my second pair that I have just received.
Bought these to replace a set of Dickies that had literally snapped on half after 6 months of use. I was just about to start a new job in a few weeks that pay for my ppe so I wanted something cheap and water proof as a stop gap. Most comfortable steelies I’ve ever worn! I did get 1 heel blister but I was wearing thin ankle socks & 1 side ride too low. I do alot of Steps so it was inevitable. So easy to slip on and ankle support is lovely. Can’t vouch for longevity yet but for that price they are a sure winner.
Six weeks since purchase, I have found these boots the best I have worn in many years. I garden six days a week and go through several pairs of boots a year. Whilst I cannot comment on their durability, I can say I have found them most comfortable and they dont scuff easily. Time will tell on their longevity, but thus far, a pleasure to wear.
Sept 28th…. less than six months after purchase, the sole completely split wide open on one boot. Despite this, I am buying a replacement pair as they are comfortable as stated above.
Look good and hard wearing. Very comfortable on, and not too heavy. I bought one pair for my husband and one pair for my son. Are very good fit. My son prefers boots that come up over his ankle for support as he is a gardener, but at this price have kept them as a spare as they are so comfortable.My husband is very happy with his. Very pleased with product.
worn them every day straight out of the box. had and worn boots all my life, and been looking for something comfy for walking and day to day, these are perfect, not worn anything else since getting them. shine up nice too and boot polish hides the white stitching, slip on and off easy too.
Seems fine so far they seem made and comfortable enough. The fit is as expected. I will hopefully return and update after a few months of wear and tear.

Lasted for 14 months of daily wear before I had to buy another pair (bought the same ones again). This represents a great value for money in my book (I’m quite hard on boots) increasing from 4* to 5*.
There’s even reflective patches on the rears of the boots and nicely padded openings.
I’m really satisfied of the quality and price wise of the boots. I have been wearing them for 10 days. I thought that they would hurt my feet when I start wearing in first 2 weeks but they didn’t as inside is really soft and comfy. If you want to save some money by not going to high street brands, these would be a great option. Bear in mind that this is my initial opinion. I may change or add some more updates later on.
I needed them for gardening and wore them for a day. After a few minutes, I forgot that I was wearing them. They were so comfortable!
I am a guide dog owner that walks a lot and I am hopeful these boots will perform well, I currently cannot think of any reason they won’t.
I would happily recommend both the boots and the supplier.
