Bought these for my 8 Yr old son and he’s delighted with them. I don’t know how good the quality is for professional gamers, but my son finds them very comfortable to wear and they work perfectly for him. Had to buy another set for my other son as they were more comfortable than the other ones he had.

I got these so I could play on PS4. I haven’t tested out the mic gaming yet but the audio is really good and it is super comfortable. I tried the audio watching a movie and I could hear if someone was near me but very distant. Not 100% noise canceling but it is amazing for the prize. On the down side, the led lights only turn on if connected to the console. But other than that these are solid!

This is a basic headset that does as it should. It is not the best quality, but you would not expect it to be for 22.
The build quality is actually quite good and the unit feels robust. It is comfy to weare and the sound is ok. The mic is also of ample quality.
    Cable legnth is good.
It is ideal for occasional use of for children i would say.

Purchase for my daughter to use for her tablet and it’s fair to say structurally they’re pretty resilient. They came as a bubblegum pink colour with protective film, also comes with a microphone this hasn’t been used whatsoever.
All in all these headphones are absolutely fantastic.
They definitely have some kind of noise cancellation giving I’m finding myself shouting at my child to get her attention whilst wearing these.
    The sound quality is fantastic.
Also comes with a switch on the wire to control the volume and also turn the headphones on and off.
Brilliant find very impressed with them!

Decent budget headset – at less than 21 you can’t go wrong. I’m not of the elk to have light up parts on my gaming gear but light up they do and they look okay. On that note the USB lead could do with being longer but I guess there are extension for that kind of thing.

Sound wise can’t find fault – very similar to my 5 year old turtle beaches that cost more. Build quality seems good. Can’t doubt the durability. Happy to recommend!

The sound tho is decent for the price and for what she uses it for. Decent bass and its nice sound for gaming.

I would say is nice for kids and someone that don’t care much for sound quality or anything too fancy.

Considering the price these headphones retail for which is 20.99 I can say you will get a amazing product.
Being familiar with high end gaming products on the market, allowed me to have good comparison.
I simply couldn’t find a fault in these. Obviously, you will get headphones that, to touch, feel cheaper due to plastic that was used and other cheaper material but sound wise, these are booming.
They are not super loud, but they produce clear and crisp sound. What, to me, is most important is well balanced bass and treble while listening to music.
Black shark gaming headset gives that extra kick when needed on the bass side.
LED lights are as they are and they cannot be adjusted or changed. You get rainbow effect and that is it. So if you want flashy headset with good quality sound, on a budget, you won’t make a mistake getting these.

This headset is very visually appealing with great qualities, but I do feel it is built primarily for pc gaming and lacks a bit for the console players. As the rgb colours are primarily for the pc players only it does take away from the visual aesthetic when I used with my PlayStation. I did also find the sound was a little low but I feel that may have been down to my other audio preset settings so may need to be cautious of that, but was very good for my short period using

These headphones come in printed cardboard box and inside you’ll find the headphones, and a user manual.

I like the design of these headphones from its white plastic casing to the contrasting blacks of the earmuffs. They are adjustable for a larger head to give an extra 2cm height on either side by pulling the headband upwards. In the fully closed position, it sat comfortably on my ears on my adult sized head. The sponge on the headband is soft and doesn’t feel uncomfortable after long use. The sponge on the earmuffs is the same as the headband and my ears didn’t feel uncomfortable after prolonged use. Adjustment of the microphone is easy as it stays in place when you move it and bend it. It doesn’t try to go back into position either, it stays exactly where you put it. The connections on the headband lead are a USB-A, 3.5mm stereo jack plug, and there is a console converter cable attached for use with consoles. There are lights on the side of each earpiece which are powered via the USB plug on the cable. That is all the USB connection does, it supplies the power to the LEDs in the headset.

The sound quality is decent and does a good job of minimizing outside noise, so the isolation is good. Voices are clear and not distorted and the microphone keeps your voice clean and clear for others to hear. Music is nice as it has a nice bass, which can be deep at times, and there’s no distortion on heavy bass. When the music themes of games are pumping out quite loud, you can hear dialogue clearly, so it doesn’t drown out the voices as it’s nicely balanced. Don’t expect audiophile quality here for this price point but the sound is decent, and I had no problem with the sound quality even though I’m used to expensive headphones myself. I noticed no sound lag from what was happening on screen to what I was actually hearing so that’s superb.

Overall, these are a decent pair of headphones. Not sure how you’d connect them to an Xbox though but they work fine with the PS4 and PS5. They connect to anything with a 3.5mm audio jack and have the converter to split the microphone and audio for the Playstation and PC. Audio quality is decent and for 19.99 (currently 16.99 on sale), I’d say these an absolute bargain for what you get.

Decent sound quality for this price point...

This pink headset arrived in a pretty sturdy, lovely matte pink box which is super slick to the touch and a shiny raised artwork of it on the front which causes drag as your fingers slide over it. Removing the little foamy bag from the box and then the headset from that reveals a surprisingly nice looking headset, more attractive that the artwork on the box makes it appear. The finish of the plastic is matte and the “Black Shark” branding and line patterns on the ear pieces are shiny by contrast. It appears to be well made, there are no sharp edges, the soft matte light grey foam earpieces and headband fit nicely and are very soft and smooth to the touch. The cord is matching light grey with a soft and flexible braided fabric covering, a large control block for volume/microphone mute and terminates in a TRS and USB connector. A splitter for dual TS connectors, also braided, is provided. A small manual and 2 year warranty information card are also inside the box.

The headset is both pleasing to look at and to the touch, the pink is very pretty and a good match for my keyboard. The headband is adjustable, and the action is firm but smooth. You can adjust it relatively easily but it’s not going to accidentally expand while on your head. The earpieces are able to move a little independantly of the headband, albeit not far, but there were no issues with it fitting and sealing over my ears for a fully enclosed sound. They’re very comfortable to wear, I didn’t need to adjust the headband thanks to my small head, and after many hours of use had no discomfort. The earpads engulfed my ears entirely so there was no soreness when I took them off from a bit of squished ear.

The sound is surprisingly good, though I did need to use the equalizer for my sound on my PC to fix it some, the sound is colored to appeal to gamers and is a little pronounced in the lower mid range and very bass heavy. I dialed down the bass a little and pulled up the higher frequencies to get it more to my liking. Once you do play with equalization, for the price, you get a decent full range, and you can fix it to be enjoyable for music as well as gaming. The volume control about 18 inches down the cord is just barely exposed, so you shouldn’t find yourself accidentally moving it even when getting animated, it moves very smoothly and the microphone mute switch is similarly well recessed and requires a decent bit of pressure to turn off and on.

The microphone is the weak point of this headset. The metal gooseneck boom is absolutely amazing, it’s very firm, very sturdy, very bendy and will stay at exactly the angles and shapes you can bend it into, no having to bend far further to account for springback. The design of the mic piece itself makes finding a pop filter very difficult, nothing I had from other headsets would fit without getting stretched, defeating the purpose, and sadly, this microphone desperately needs one. It’s over sensitive in the high ranges, so not only is the sound very skewed, it’ll pick up the sound of your lips coming apart to say something, the sound of your tongue flapping while you talk, when you lick your lips and even your saliva ducts squirting. If your mouth is shut, it’ll activate when you swallow and this upper sensitivity makes every “ESS” or “CH” or any word with a sharp start painfully accentuated and annoying for anyone having to hear it. It captures the full range just fine, but it’ll also pickup a flatulating gnat on the window behind you. Turning the mic around so that the pickup isn’t directly facing your mouth alleviates this to some degree, but then it has issues picking up when you speak, and if you dial in the sensitivity to account for that, you start picking up lip movements, breathing, stomach noises, and anything high pitched. The sound of the microphone is similar to Razer Kraken, just not so thin and with worse “essing”. Will your teammates be able to hear you clearly? Absolutely. They’ll also hear every movement your face makes in order to form the words in painful detail. This is however preferable I guess, to one of those cheap super muffled sounding microphones.

There’s a USB connector which does nothing except light up the microphone (solid blueish/purplish color) and rgb moving rainbow under the grey mesh on the earpieces. Obviously if you want this and you’re connecting the sound to your controller, you’ll need a USB extension cable to plug into a live USB port (any will work, USB hub, TV, phone charger etc). It’s pretty but since I can’t see it while I’m using it, I don’t bother plugging it in, they look perfectly nice without it and in fact I prefer it.

Overall, for the price, this is a great headset. If the mic didn’t exhibit the issues I described, it’d be 5 stars.

Nice finish, decent sound and so so mic.

Used on a PS4 Pro and also tested on an Xbox one s, works great on both.
Sound quality is good and the mic also works well. Easily adjusted for distance or out of the way when not in use.
Mic can be turned on/off and volume adjusted from the in line switch.
Overall a great headset and a very reasonable price.

    Comfortable with good sound.

The Black Shark gaming headset is aesthetically neat and has the flair of a stylish gaming model.

The sound is above average and can feel pretty easy on the ears for long periods of 3 – 4 hours without much discomfort.

The price is also decent, so overall a good buy.

This Black Shark gaming headset shuts out the surrounding noise with the breathable memory foam earcups and has a nice white coloured design.

With this headset, it aims to create a gaming eco-system based on hardware, software, and services, to provide an unmatched, unique gaming experience to gamers. It has a cutting-edge design for accurate positional audio across any game environment. The headset provides ideal comfort throughout gaming marathons, and you can precisely adjust the volume or mute the mic quickly and easily. It has a plug for all 3.5mm audio output devices, adapter for devices with separate headphone and microphone ports, and USB connector to power RGB lighting.

My son loves gaming, so I gave him this headset to try out. We both agree they are suitable for basic gaming needs, but if you are wanting something for more professional gaming, then I would recommend shopping around for a better-quality set.

Overall, this is an affordable and decent quality headset that is idea for standard and basic gaming purposes.

    Review from my husband:

This is a really awesome alternative to all the high-end gaming headsets that cost a fortune! They feel quality. I already have a couple of other black shark products and they haven’t failed me yet, so there’s hope for these as a casual gamer, not a committed gamer lol who is on it 24,7,365. These reproduce decent sound and the mic is sensitive and clear by all accounts. I like the pulsing RGB. It gives a sense that these are more expensive than they actually are. Good solid headphones and excellent sound, great for music too, thumbs up. Mr black shark will keep an eye for more sharky products 5/5

Really good headphones and worth a sho

This set of gaming headphones look fantastic, my boy tested them on his Xbox and said they are as good, if not bette than his turtle beach recon 70’s.
We haven’t used the led lights as we aren’t using them on a PC so no usb socket to power them.
They are comfy and fit my head as well as my son’s.
    Great for the price!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am extremely picky, i have easily went through dozens this past year alone and returned or sold. I rarely write reviews but i am seriously blown away by these. I’m a low talker so finding the right mic is very difficult. These are it! I would compare size and quality to logitech headsets alot of ear room and no clamping on my big fat head.
My only reason for one star less on comfort is the earpads, i wish they were mesh. I will update if anything bad goes but so far plug and play into my gaming pc with fantastic stereo sound!
Price point is extremely fair and amazing.
Looking forward to more quality items from this company

    First impression:
The headphones are quite comfortable to wear and there is plenty of room in the ear cup – no uncomfortable ears! They are not hard across the top of your head, and the head band is extendable, although I didn’t need to. The extensions are metal, which is a nice touch.
Cables are a good length and a splitter cable is provided so they can be plugged into a computer. The plugs are marked so you can’t go wrong. The phones plug works fine plugged into a mobile phone, and this also works without the splitter cable.
The light show is activated when you plug in the USB-A connector into a computer or a phone power supply. Its optional. Each earpiece has multi-colour LEDs and so does the microphone.
The only real negative is that the microphone does not unplug. This might not both some, but if you just want to listen to a video or some music, then although the mic can fold out of the way to some extent, you can still catch it out of the corner of you eye.

    Packaging and delivery:
The headphones come in a nice cardboard box, and are wrapped in a foam bag, with one for the wires also. They arrived quickly.

    Pros:
    Comfortable.
    Good sound.
    Splitter included.

    Cons:
    Microphone not removable.
Lighting a bit of a gimmick but its optional.

    Conclusion:
I liked these despite the non-removable microphone and the weight is about right for over the ear headphones like this. I’m going to use these straight away and my ageing Phillips ‘phones are going straight in the bin.

    Comfortable with good sound.

These are nice. Good quality headphones. The quality of the sound is good…nothing to blow your mind but for the price you can’t complain really. For gaming it does it’s job….for music it could’ve been better. I like the colour very much. They are very comfortable to wear. Good quality…good price… I would gladly recommend these to anyone. Good value for money.

    This headset is very good.
No real gamers would buy these though, and part of it is the pricing.
It simply is too cheap to be taken seriously.
On the other hand the materials used are decent and the sound is ok, especially for the price. Don’t expect Razer sound though, but this are many times more expensive.

    Pros:
    – price
    – build quality
    – sound considering the price
    – full set with all the cables

    Cons:
    – sound is not outstanding, a bit of a bass missing
    – the RGB lights are a bit of a gimmick only

Gaming headset for less than £20?

    Pros:
    – price
    – build quality
    – sound considering the price
    – full set with all the cables

    Cons:
    – sound is not outstanding, a bit of a bass missing
    – the RGB lights are a bit of a gimmick only

Gaming headset for less than £20?

These fit my kids and own adult head comfortably. They fit so that they give a really good amount of insulation against external sounds and good music/sound quality too. The sound jack and usb most both new plugged in to get around, mic and the funky lights on the headphones. They have been great in a laptop and Chromebook for teams calls, zoom calls and a bit of Spotify while working. Good headphones. Glad we trialled them.

These certainly look like they are worth more than 20 pounds so they would make a teenager pretty happy. I’m not sure I’d get these for adult gaming unless you’re on a budget. They are pretty decent, wired and suitable for most gaming platforms.

The RGB looks good and they sit snuggly on the ears providing excellent noise cancellation. The USB needs to be connected for the RGB to work.

The quality of the sound is ok, clear but not as crisp. There’s some bass too which is adequate. In higher volumes the sound quality reduces.

Overall they are quite good for the price and I’d recommend them especially for children or teens.

at this price I expected these to be pretty bad, but I was proven wrong, I was suitable impressed with how good they actually sound, and not just oh better than I thought, but actually really good. My wife is the gamer, so wanted these, and she’s very happy with them, says they fit nicely and are very comfy, and as to sound, excellent.

I have no idea what others are talking about when mentioning the USB cable is too short? it’s on the same cable as the audio, so it’s the same length (unless there’s been a modification in the design since), anyway I think it’s fine. The audio cable has a three bar 3.5mm minijack connector, for stereo audio and microphone, plus they come with a short adapter that spilts the audio into two separate 3.5mm minijack connectors, one for separate stereo audio and the other for the microphone, should your PC have separate outputs.
