My ancient Bosch cordless finally gave up the ghost. This one may or may not last as long but I’ve found it nicer to use, mainly because of its smaller size and lower weight. Battery life has also been good so far.
I looked at quite a few mostly minor brands Got this at a good price Only used a couple of times and good so far Be using a lot in next week as moving home so will get a lot of use Anything else will report back
Trust this brand always have
Pleased with this drill, quite light to handle, easy to use. Battery took a while to charge, but first time use so understandable. Bought Black and Decker drill bit set to accompany this drill, so I’m very pleased with this purchase.
This has been really handy as I’ve moved home with furniture and fittings however it did struggle a bit when in the masonry settings to make large holes (10mm) I had good quality drill bits but it wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped. Think it was in red brick from the dust I was making so would probably work better on breeze blocks. With the drill struggling the bits got stuck in the drill and I had to buy grip tools to get them out. I think this drill is probably suitable for most at home use but if you’re going to be doing lots of masonry drilling or mask art drilling with large drill bits into a very hard surface then probably need a more powerful tool. Otherwise happy, battery is nice and compact and charges quickly.
Epic, so glad I bought this!! A very helpful drill with a long battery life and decent power, its small size makes it easy to use in tight spaces.
I recommend getting the black & decker bit set with it. 5/5
When I first read the reviews I saw that there are multiple reviews about bits stucking in the drill and to be honest yes it does but so all the other brands have the same issue. But its not a big deal because you can unstuck it if you know what you are doing.
Its a great little helper for little jobs and very practical to use. But its not for proper drilling, it can be used in masonary like brick work but don’t use it in proper concreate. If you are working on concreate I suggest you to buy a corded proper drill.
If you don’t have the proper tools its very hard to a job. This little drill is most probably will be the most used tool in your house.
Absolutely what can i say this is a tremndous drill and drill bits well worth money and heavy duty and made my move into new home so much easier to drill holes excellent product and would definetly recommend if you looking for a drill
I needed to replace my mains hammer drill and this is perfect. Used straight away to put a house number up next to my front door. No mains cable trailing and getting in the way. No problems with drilling 25mm into brick.
I bought one of these a few years ago, and it has lasted perfectly, but is beginning to show signs of wear.
I have no problems replacing it with exactly the same, as I know it will last.
Its great for home use, medium heavy work, its not a building site tool, but for home use its perfect.
Have always found Black-and-Decker tools to be hard wearing for home use.
Absolutely perfect size for me not heavy even going through masonry and brick easy to follow instructions and pictures which I prefer. Black&decker has made my drill reasonably price and just for me
Bought this cause my 20yr old Black & Decker packed up. It is way lighter than my old one, battery life is good enough (although I may buy a 2nd battery) however the hammer action !!! OMG !!! This goes through bricks, breeze blocks and concrete with such an ease. Concrete will need freshly charged battery but the rest is so easy…
I am only using it for DIY projects and securing shelves, doors, sheds but works like a charm. I am not a tradesman so for me this is a really good buy. I was a bit sceptical when I read that the drill locks when using the hammer action, but this is nonsense. Just twist a bit harder and the drill head is free again.
Very easy to use for beginners, doesn’t come with different drill pieces which would be great as an addition. The casing is fiddly to get the drill machine back in there could be clearer and a better case. Otherwise good value for money for a starter drill.
It’s handy for to use around the house definitely recommend
Nice drill and good value but pretty lightweight. Not sure it would match up to hammer drilling into stone like my last drill
I bought this for use around the house as my other hand drill wasn’t powerful enough and it’s brilliant. So far it’s put up new curtain rails and a new gate. It’s so easy to use, I love it.
Item as described. Very easy to setup and use. I do wish the battery charged up quicker though.
I’ve used this drill, screwdriver on more than 1 occasion and it lasted all day on 1 charge but just as a screwdriver not as a drill on decking .Brilliant quite a powerful tool.Ive used it again since for 40 screws and drilled 6 holes in bricks on the same charge and still not run out .
GOOD OVERALL, BUT HAMMER DRILL NOT UP TO AROUND THE HOUSE STANDARD, STILL VALUE FOR MONEY AND DELIVERY OF ITEM
Overall a nice sturdy little cordless drill/drive ,the battery life is amazing ,my last drill/driver the battery used to last about two weeks left in the case and light use, this one i charged on the day i received it 18December 2022 and with lots of us the battery still has almost full power. Only gripe is the direction switch which seems to be “backwards” ie push to the left for forward, push to the right to undo, apart from that a great little drill, would recommend.
Good value for money. Solid drill for the price. Decent quality drill bit too.
Very happy with the drill and the fact the battery works across the range though read the whole review!
I worked with the drill for odd jobs throughout last year and it was so handy, though I had an issue last week when doing some repairs on the Shed.
As others have stated the drill bit can get stuck owing to the drill when in use it can sometimes tighten or loosen the keyless chuck. I was using it as normal with some difficulty securing hinges into more solid material, and on trying to swap out the drill bit I couldn’t no matter how much force I tried.
I read a few reviews stating they loosened it with plumber wrenches and WD40 but opted to contact Amazon returns as knowing my luck I’d damage it. Amazon done a free pickup and sent out a new drill like for like replacement old for New. Absolutely delighted as I was possibly 12-13 Months into use but the drill was used so sparingly I was a tad upset till Amazon to the rescue.
I’d buy again for the value of the drill and the aftersales service of Amazon.
Brilliant. Will do most hammer drill actions not needing a bigger drill
