Why did I choose this sander? Well, about 5 years ago I had one similar stamped with a brand name starting with a W and ending with an x and it was amazing. I eventually burned it out by sanding most walls of a few houses, didn’t think anything negative as it had been put through hell and then I ended up buying one stamped with a brand starting with B and ending with a h as it is my favourite brand in cordless power tools. It turned out to be absolutely terrible. Barely scratching the surface even with a soft piece of wood and a 180 grit sheet!
I ended up searching this app for mouse sander and this one came up for 20! Yes20! Snapped it up straight away. The video and picture really doesn’t show the true value of the outcome but in a few minutes I have 1m lengths of pallet wood as smooth as a babies bottom.
Included in the box is a few sheets of various grit and a vacuum attachment which is unexpected for a 20 cost. Proper bargain and what I found with this one compared to the one I burned out and the other one ismy hands don’t suffer from the vibration anywhere near as much as others and in fact barely at all. Bonus points there.
I really can’t recommend this little gem enough to be honest with you all.
Thank you Black And Decke
Preferred my previous one
Lent mine to my daughter. She took so long with her decoration I decided to buy another and let her keep my old one. New one came today. Sander itself seems virtually same and I’m sure will work just as well, but there’s no extension finger in the box, tho it’s referred to in the listing. Not a deal breaker. Also the box is differently designed and slightly smaller so packing it back in after use won’t be as easy and there’s no longer a storage bag. Hey ho
Black and Decker is one of the most trusted brands in power tools. The mouse sander certainly doesn’t disappoint. Easy to use and very effective. The sanding sheets are easy to attach and detach. The first job I used it for was to sand a new garden bench, and it was ideal.
I couldn’t believe how efficient such a little device could be.
I’m a painter and I needed a light sander to sand to repaired areas filled by putty on the wall, it works properly and strong enough, in spite that it’s cheap enough.
In addition it is lightweight and it comes with 6 sand sheets.
The only negative thing is that its cable size is short, 2 meters and I had to purchase an extension lead for it. About the endurance I can not decide yet, as I just bought this
In sum, I love it.
Not even caring if this sounds lame but my mouse is becoming my favourite thing I own, for such a tiny sander it is so powerful and effective, I have a whole house of woodwork needing paint stripped to repaint and the mouse finishes the job great! it comes with a collection of pads for all sanding duties and the pointed edge is great for getting into corners, I can’t fault it – it’s not very noisy and easily attaches to my vacuum cleaner for sawdust collection. is very sturdy too which is a bonus!
I have been using the mouse for months now and it is not showing any signs of slowing down, am working my way through the sandpaper sheets though!
This is a great tool to add to my collection. A lovely size for me. Easy to handle and change the sandpaper. Would only recommend for small jobs really, but it did get tested when I got it, and did its job well! It just took a little longer than it needed to.
