A nice sturdy tool , not cheap but you get what you pay for . B& D have always been reliable and sturdy .
Little assembly so no major problems, my previous strimmer was a Ryobi which only lasted 2 years

Got fed up with my old petrol strummer taking a morning to fire up so thought I would invest in an instant response
Strummer is decent weight but can use with one hand good battery life and does a good job of keeping the edging tidy.
Added benefit of being able to turn through 90 degrees for edging on paths etc
For the price it is excellent value Sorry for the predictive tex

I like that you can alter the length of aluminium tube by slacking of the friction nut and adjusting. On its first power setting it wouldn’t cut what I wanted but on the second setting it was just fine. It’s a great tool for finishing off edges but I will stick to my petrol strimmer for the bigger jobs.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI’ve been using the BLACK+DECKER Cordless String Grass Trimmer in my garden, and I’m pretty stoked about it. Here’s why:

    Setup – Quick and Simple:
Getting this trimmer up and running was no sweat. It was pretty much ready to go straight out of the box. Just charge the battery, click it in, and you’re good to start trimming.

Performance – Cuts Like a Dream:
This thing has some serious power for a cordless trimmer. It zips through overgrown grass and weeds like nobody’s business. The 28 cm cutting swath is a sweet spot for both precision and coverage.

Battery Life – Lasts Long Enough:
The 2.0Ah lithium-ion battery is a winner. It lasts long enough to get all my trimming done in one go, which is all I can ask for. Plus, it recharges pretty fast.

    Maneuverability – Light and Easy:
It’s super lightweight and easy to handle. I can zip around the garden without feeling like I’ve had a full workout. No cords dragging around is a major plus.

    Noise Level – Surprisingly Quiet:
It’s quieter than I expected for a trimmer. Definitely a bonus, especially if you don’t want to disturb the neighbours (or your own peace and quiet).

Overall – A Solid Choice for Garden Maintenance:
If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to keep your garden edges neat, this BLACK+DECKER Cordless String Trimmer is a solid bet. It’s easy to use, effective and doesn’t tie you down with a cord.

So, for anyone who’s after a reliable, no-fuss garden tool, I’d say give this one a go!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have a medium sized garden and needed this to strim the lawn against a wall and also the edge of the lawn it does the job perfectly much easier than the last electric strimmer we had, we have used it 3 times on
the same battery charge so very pleased with the performance so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a good strimmer for the price. Easy to figure out how to use although i’m not sure if the feeding mechanism is working properly as I always have to pull through new wire. Maybe I haven’t set it up properly though! Aside from this it feels sturdy and it easy to use

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI upgraded from a petrol strimmer that was constantly stalling making what should have been a 10 minute job into a frustrating task,

Loving the freedom of the battery pack over a cabled electric version I have had about 15 years. I bought a second battery.

Very impressed with the performance so far. Light and easy to use and suitable for my wilder garden areas and grass verges as well as the finer edging on the lawn.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis a great cordless strimmer, it’s light enough to use for a long period of time, cuts through long grass and weeds easily. The battery lasts a relatively long time although I do tend to charge it after each use just in case. I don’t have lawnmower at the moment so this is working well. My only bugbear is that I haven’t worked out how to keep the power on without holding the switch all the time but that might just be me being stupid!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGood value product, I took advantage of a free extra battery offer available online. Battery last long enough to do the lawn edges, around the stepping stones and wall area of my medium/large size garden and a bit more . It’s just as good as my previous B&D lead acid cell battery strimmer which I had for many years, only a bit lighter and easier to handle. It is very well designed and good build quality. The wheel is good when edging as it takes the weight of the machine and as I prefer the line feed type of striimer that is a plus for me. It takes about 4 hours to charge the battery so an extra one may be useful, although I have yet to need mine. I haven’t needed to use the high speed setting yet either but it gives the appearance of bring very powerful and effective should you need to trim longer grass or weeds. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product for normal lawn use.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe only reason I give 4 * is that the battery die so quick if I set it up to non eco mode and does not cut thick grass easily as only 1 string. I would suggest to buy spare battery if you have a big lawn. If you set on eco mode it takes 20 to 30 mins life of battery and if not eco 10 to 15 mins it is more powerful to cut grass though. I used it in my allotment in my foot path it does the job, very light and handy. Still very happy

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGreat to have a strimmer where I’m not worrying about the electric cable. It’s a solid, well-built tool and has a simple adjustment for length: just turn a locking wheel, set it to a comfortable length and re-lock.
The spool is self-loading, so no fiddling about.
I’ve just got it and have only done about 20 minutes of strimming, but the battery still has some charge.
Impressed with the quality of the build and would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersI have a small garden and a driveway that’s about 2m long.

As a strimmer, this is great value but as an edger, it just chews the edges up (for me)

It takes 5 to 6 hours to charge using the provided charger and it’s run time is between 30 to 45 minutes.

Run times are hard to calculate as it won’t be rge same for every person. I mainly use ECO mode and switch to high power when i encounter heavey or thick growth.

I’m 6ft 1 and find it’s not ergonomically designed correctly. Probably 5ft 9 is about the optimum person’s height if you’re worried about ergonomics.
For me? I make do as I don’t have much to do and it’s currently the best within my budget.

It’s fairly lightweight, so it’s manageable for most people but do remember this ISN’T for single hand use.

I do feel they should include eye protection in the box or at least Amazon should suggest it . I already have some and luckily i wear them, as this (like any other motorised tool of this type) WILL fling up stones and those thick dock leaf stems will splatter. So i recommend sticking some in your basket if you buy this.

The automatic feed system sounds good, but yet to see it work. The spool is wound correctly, but I still have to manually extend the line.

When you buy this, just remember it isn’t petrol powered and not heavy duty. Don’t expect it to cut through a jungle. It’s a “finishing off” tool.

Meaning, you cut your grass with a mower. Then you use this to strim/trim around fences, hedges, beds, paving, slabs and alike.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThis is a very good strimmer. Light enough, adjustable, doesn’t need feed line re-spooling very often, robust and powerful on turbo mode. The battery life is poor, though!
I had a low-quality strimmer from Hilga brand that could cover my entire allotment and still have charge remaining. This barely finishes a third of it (on turbo mode).
Luckily, I have bought it during a promotion where they are offering a free battery through the website; I’ve submitted the claim as I will certainly need it!
I could possibly elongate the battery life by using it on the normal mode but on thick allotment couch grass, turbo mode is what you need – the turbo mode is almost as good as a petrol strimmer, I am very impressed with it.

I have to give this 5 stars because a) I got the strimmer, charger and battery on promotional price of 64.99, plus b) I got a free battery during promotional period. For this price, it is outstanding value. Otherwise, I would have given it 4 due to the battery life if it hadn’t been such a great deal!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersVery disappointed with power and battery life. Only due to health issues it was over the time limit to return I would have returned this strimmer. There are two power settings on the strimmer i.e 1 or 2. It said in product details that Number 2 would only be for longer thicker grass. I found that even on Number 2 it was very under powered and if i tried to use on longer grass it just chewed it. Number 1 was pointless and useless for any sort of strimming. In general, regret buying this and I have went back to my old strimmer and used it. Black and Decker is a reputable well known brand and that was why i bought it. My old strimmer was a own brand from a catalogue store and wins hands down in compariso

I was not expecting a battery powered trimmer can handle cutting my grass but I was pleasantly surprised. Depending on the setting (Eco or Power) one battery can last up to 30min which is more than enough for most in my opinion. It’s also pretty lightweight.

This is quite a nice strimmer for lightweight work, but I found that the battery supplied with it was a bit under powered and needed recharging after about 20 minutes use. A bought a more powerful 3 Ah, compatible, battery and that lasts a lot longer. The original battery is still useful as a backup that can be kept charged and used when the bigger battery runs down.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst strimmer I have ever bought. I purchased the cordless type, to avoid having to deal with extension cables or the risk of cutting through cables, also with energy efficiency in mind. The strimmer came with one battery, and there was an offer on with B&D to get a free battery by registering the new product on their website. The new battery arrived within about 3 weeks, so I now have two batteries. One battery lasts around 40 minutes, so depending on the size of your garden, this may be enough for you. I find it helpful to have the second battery just in case. I have used the strimmer to cut back grass around paths, and also for cutting back long overgrown weeds and plants in flower beds. It is very good, does the job. It’s pretty loud, so I hear ear protection when using. I would recommend the product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve used this a couple of times now since I got it and so far I’ve had no issues with it; it’s relatively easy to set up and get to grips with out of the box — there’s a black safety button near the trigger that has to be held down when operating it (the accompanying manual has pictures but is a little vague about some features) but otherwise it’s uncomplicated, intuitive, simple to adjust and use.
It seems a balanced and relatively lightweight unit when one first begins to use it, but beware — it’s quite taxing over a period of time, especially if one is using it on dense grass on the turbo setting, so give yourself frequent breaks and I recommend using it in short busts; the support handle and length adjustment can be customised to suit your hight and make using it a bit more comfortable; also, the battery is really only good for about 20 minutes tops if on the turbo setting, so consider a second battery if one has an extensive job to do.
Mine came with a battery and charger; I didn’t pay too much attention to how long it took to charge, but the light flashes while charging and remains on when fully charged; the battery can be kept in the charger with the light showing to ensure it is fresh and ready when required.
The strimmer spool is again uncomplicated and easy to use — unless one is careless in clipping kerbs or hard objects it should last for a good time.
I’m quite happy with it; I’m no gardener — I got it to tame an unruly grassed area that has run riot and will need regular maintenance so I’ll soon find out if this tool has any serious drawbacks.

lovely light machine to use so cutting grass feels a bit less like hard work since dumping the heavy one I had, and it does just as good a job. Found it hard to use the first few times though because of the positioning of the switches you have to keep held down simultaneously. I remember thinking my fingers and thumb were not quite long enough without it causing a little discomfort. (These are 60 and 54mm respectively) but found it a bit easier after a few times using it, so maybe just needed to get used to it. I do think though, that having a support sling to attach to it would have helped with this.

So i got this little beast a month ago and so far used it 3 times, my grass had not been cut in 3 or 4 years so it got very long and clumpy so i was not expecting this to do too much but thought id give it a shot and its performance literally blew me away, it cuts through long grass pretty easy, its only realy drawback is the 5 hour charge time for half an hours worth of cutting, i can not comment on the boost mode as i have not had to use it even on long clumpy grass and im still on the first cutting spool, really really impressed with this strimmer and would give it an easy 9/10, after half an hours use it was hard to lift my arms lol, gets easier on the arms the more you do it.

After half a dozen times of use I feel I can now revue this B&D strimmer.
It’s very convenient, no wires, does the areas we need with charge left, easy to pop in the car and go do the other garden we look after, wife loves using it, not too heavy, easy to twist and setup for edging and folds down for storage.
    All posatives.
The one negative for me is it only has one line feed out, so not as good/efficient as a dual feed, it niggles me a bit as I have a corded flymo with dual feed which cuts considerably better and quicker.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s not as light as expected. The strimmer is still quite labourous for extended use. Does the job magnificently and cuts straight through even thicker weeds and bramble.

Main issue is with the battery life. I have a moderate sized garden and it took 4 full charges to trim down plus another charge to to the edging. On reflection, a cabled strimmer would’ve been much more efficient even if I’m on a tether.

Well made and solid and really makes the job a breeze. Was skeptical about battery powered strimmer not going the distance at first but was pleasantly surprised it lasted me an hour and a half(with pauses) of course. Red colour is a bonus. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have always said no to a strimmer but with old age creeping on, decided to reconsider. I have quite a large garden and until this recent addition to my garden equipment, the borders were edged with a pair of spear & Jackson edging scissors. It took me 90mins to do around the edges. The scissors are brilliant when first purchased but soon lose the will to cut in my opinion. So did a little research and came across this. The first time I used it, I admit I was hopeless, but perseverance with said machine, got to say, I can see an improvement. Whilst not at the perfection stage yet, I feel as though I will get there and I am suitably impressed with the strimmer. Now takes about 10 minutes to do right round which is a huge improvement time wise and an even bigger improvement on my knees/back!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe instructions are rubbish not any written words at all.
A few images of how to assemble and not easy to see what is being done properly on fitting the guard onto the base.
I had to work it out myself and it was too hard to put on by hand as in one of the images,
I had to hammer it into place with a mallet to line the hole’s up to fit the screw in to secure the guard into place which took an hour to assemble because I was afraid it was going to break forcing the part into the place.
You need to write instructions for the UK market so we know we are doing it correctly.
Same with the changing the strimmer to a edger , that was hard to work out aswell and took 10 minutes of pulling around until it finally went round because the instructions are not clear again.
It took 4 hours to charge and lasted about 35.minutes in all , 2 separate uses of 15 and 20 on eco mode, each time on the same day.
I don’t know how the string feeds itself but it got caught on something and went long and then I’m the last 5 minutes use it went very short and I don’t know what to do with it or if it just goes ok when next used because it doesn’t show it on the instructions.

Very easy to assemble as it’s pretty much packed and arrived assembled. I find it to be of excellent value. The battery life is pretty short probably about 20/25 mins of life but i have a black n decker drill so have the two batteries which gives me more than enough time. All in all it is extremely to assemble and use and i have had no trouble after two cuts around my fairly big garden. I’d rate in 9/10 for value and would recommend!

I really like this little strimmer. I’m a small lady so this telescopic, lightweight model is great for me. The battery life is probably around 20 mins but I knew that this was the drawback of a battery operated strimmer and the ease of use vs a corded model makes up for it. Its done a great job of cutting the grass between the raised beds in my veg area where the mower doesn’t fit, and doing boarders and around trees and hedges elsewhere. Pleased with the purchase.

When I moved into my suburban house in South London with a large garden, I purchased several petrol driven garden accessories such as a lawnmower and a strimmer and a multi tool thinking that this was the right thing to do Over the years I’ve struggled to get the various tools started including the petrol strimmer even to the point where I pulled my shoulder and my knuckles bled with the effort of pulling the cord. this year was so fed up I decided to purchase a battery powered strimmer instead and this is so cool. It was so easy to put together a self feeding mechanism works much better than my previous strimmer cord which snapped and had to be replaced every few minutes even though it was thicker. the constant feed mechanism is so smooth! I’ve used the strimmer several times and then I realise it had a second higher power button (I never read instructions) and that was so powerful it cleared a whole bunch of weeds and debris at the corner of the lawn have used it this morning just for fun because it’s so easy I love it!

The trade off is power. If you are used to a more powerful corded machine, this will be noticeably less powerful. With that said, it does get through heavy grass and clumped weeds. The battery life isn’t great, but I’d consider getting a second battery to be able to confidently get through my lawns. Edging feature works well. I now strum and edge in much less time with less hassle.

Have had our Black & Decker strimmer now for about five years and it has performed valiantly, still on its original battery, so I’m very pleased with the purchase. It holds its charge well and I get at least 20 mins running time from each full charge. To replace an exhausted spool line it’s quite simple to unclip the spool holder and insert either a new full spool, or wrap a re-fill spool line around the spool and through its little hole. This is a very sturdy, easy to operate, well-designed machine that is a credit to the B&D line of products, in my opinion. Its recharging is a simple matter of unhitching the small lithium battery unit from the handle and plugging it into its charger cord unit for about 20 mins-30 mins if charge is totally spent.

I mostly bought this strimmer for maintenance work at my allotment. There’s a communal grass path off the main path that leads to my plot that can get a bit long. It’s about 30-40 meters long and I managed to strim the lot on one charge while it was long and wet in around 20-25 minutes on the strimmer’s turbo setting which I thought was good enough.

For lawn edge work at home, in my front and back garden, on the slower setting, the battery is more than adequate. The edging function with the wheel is really good for this and moving all of the parts around – extending the pole, rotating the head, opening out of the handle – are all a breeze.

The automatic line feed is also so good to have.

After my 25 minutes stint at the allotment, both of my forearms were aching and I felt it the next day so it’s not as light as you first think. I’m also only 5’10” and feel like this is the max comfortable height you could be to use this, as I have it extended to max size and it’s ideal.

Got this when it was on offer for 67 and I can certainly recommend at that price.

This grass trimmer was bought for use on a sloping area where a power cable was the last think I needed. I was prepared for slightly less power and thought, on balance, that was a price worth paying. The trimmer is just as powerful as a corded one, well balanced and very easy to use. The telescopic element is very useful and easy to adjust. The battery installation and removal is very easy and the whole product, albeit mainly plastic, has a very sturdy feel to it. All in all a very impressive piece of kit that looks good and performs well. The automatic strimmer cable release is very useful and saves time having to release the cable manually.

I bought this as a replacement for an old one. It was on a good offer from Amazon recently.
The strimmer works perfectly in a domestic garden. The line feeds cleanly and cuts as required.
The included 2mah battery lasts long enough for my tasks but I will buy a spare. They are not expensive online. The only criticism is that the included charger is very feeble and takes 5 hours to charge the battery. Another reason to buy a spare battery.

  53. MaryjoE19gke says:

I know that if I have to unravel and connect up a power cable it’s less likely that I’m going to use the strimmer, so a cordless one had to be the answer. It also needed to come complete with battery and charger.
The last strimmer I bought – a Black & Decker one, years ago – was just that: A strimmer. Mains-powered, very lightweight, and devoid of all of the ‘helpful’ wheels and handles and twist-locks on this modern one.
Saying that, it works well and does what I want it to do now that I’ve removed the irritatiing edging wheel.
I’ve no idea about battery life (ie. how long the battery lasts before no longer being able to retain charge) as I’ve not had it long. I was able to do what I needed to do on a single charge each time (at least 20 minutes). The battery itself is pretty light and doesn’t add much to the overall weight when in use.

I liked the ease of assembly, light weight and longevity of the battery. I use it to trim family grave sites as well as for general garden use. I am particularly impressed cutting through tough weeds and stuff when using the high power mode.

Arrived well ahead of schedule, would described as a well designed trimmer, easy to change over for edging of lawn, “which should have a 2” + clearance before contact with soil…assembly relatively straight forward following a well illustrated instruction document, the exception being the grass deflection guard) where heavy hand pressure was required to engage plastic clips, assistance of a second person is helpful…well balanced with the smaller person in mind, battery life adequate for general clean-up and edging. “Nice bit of kit from B & D” quick response from seller to be noted.

I like the weight of this strimmer and it is easy to operate but I find the battery frustrating. I have a large garden and it will only work for approximately 15 or 20 mins until it needs to be recharged, which takes hours

Easy to put together (you’ll need a screwdriver but it’s just one screw). Battery life so far is impressive. It is easy to use and no wires trailing means the top of the garden is accessible too

This continues bringing together a new family of garden tools. It’s an excellent piece of equipment, solid, handsome, well designed, easy to set up, well balanced and very efficient.

For its first job, it has done a much needed clearance of unsightly fringes, rampant weeds and yard invaders with no trouble at all. Light on the arms but tough on vegetation, tough on the causes of vegetation, as someone might once have said.

I obviously don’t know yet how long the cord will last or how far a charge will get me. It worked for half an hour at full power and feel sure it will do rather better than that.

Highly recommended. Keep ’em coming, Black and Decker.

I’ve now used it seriously three times on two properties, and the big standout feature is the long battery life – I haven’t flattened it yet. It’s lightweight and also very well-balanced, which makes it so much less effortful to use. It destroys efficiently with a high degree of precision around garden plants. The simple kerb-edging adjustment is a real bonus. A great piece of kit, and brilliant for the price.

I got this strimmer so that I could keep my parents grave nice and tidy. It’s light weight and easy to use.

Could do with a spare battery as you only get about 20mi

Very easy to use, and being able to switch to edge trimming saves so much back strain. In a large garden it leaves the grass with half a haircut on one charge, so I bought a second battery. Also, charge the battery just
prior to using as it loses charge quickly. This is the only downside, but once charged it’s great.

I think this will be a great little machine, once the grass is shorter, but didn’t cope too well with the long grass even though I had it on turbo setting. I felt that it needs something more robust for longer, thicker growth and was surprised that it only had one plastic cable and not two. I can’t comment on the battery life, as I have only used it the once so far. Now waiting for the ground to dry out following heavy rain! It wasn’t difficult to put together, the weight was good and the price is reasonable for the good quality product.

The low speed works well and high speed is great for the more wild areas . Obviously not industrial but works well with good line feed. I just hope the charger keeps working unlike the older model !!

Really happy with this purchase. Fully charged it on arrival, have cut a decent size garden and used this on the grass borders around 4 times since and it is still going strong from the original charge.
Was easy enough to put together, does not feel to heavy and is easy to manipulate around the edges by the fencing with a jog wheel that helps maintain the right distance. When the wire breaks it automatically re-spools. So much superior to the cheaper models. Well worth the money.

I need a battery strimmer to cut the grass paths around my allotment. This is my third strimmer. First one (another make) packed up after 4 years, so I ordered a new one (again another make) which was faulty, I returned it the day after I had received it. This strimmer is excellent. It handles really well with efficient cutting and the battery lasts longer than either of my previous strimmers allowing me to complete the whole job without having to charge the battery up before I’ve finished.

Easily adjusted for height and converting to edge trimmer, it is easy to use, with no constraining cable.

After struggling for years with another manufacturers strimmer, and suffering endless line feed troubles, I abandoned strimmers altogether.
Then saw this item and thought I’d give it a chance.
So pleased with it. Line has not missed at all as yet. Battery life is great. It’s lightweight. Best of all, no power cord to work around.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSummary: easy to adjust, well made and good quality; I get about 45 minutes mixed (high and low speed) use out of a fully charged battery; cutting power and edging very good.

As context, I was actually looking for a strimmer with a power cord, as I was expecting cordless ones to be a bit disappointing in performance and battery life. Doing my research, I found that a lot of people feel the same, and I also found that rechargeable strimmers are surprisingly expensive!
I also found a lot of unknown brands, which were also fairly expensive, and had very mixed reviews. All this left me unwilling to purchase.

So I started again, this time focusing my search on:
    – brand (focussing on well-known ones like Bosch and Black & Decker)
    – weight (as I realised this would be a potential drawback given weights of up to 3.5kg I’d found during the first search)
    – battery life (where I could find it – not all manufacturers give an estimate)
    – power (I wanted something that would be reasonable for fairly light use; I knew I wasn’t going to be clearing undergrowth on a regular basis!)

I found that a lot of strimmers now use proprietary blades, which can be difficult to find, cost more than nylon line, and cause regular interruptions to use as they need to be changed fairly frequently. I decided to focus on nylon line strimmers.

In the end, this Black & Decker strimmer was one of two on the shortlist, and was my choice due to the price! The other one came without a battery and charger, which added another 40 or so. I won’t name the other brand and prices go up and down a lot anyway, but do be aware of accidentally buying a so-called “bare” product!

I’ve used it several times now, including clearing a friend’s much larger garden. Using the a mix of the normal (5500rpm) and turbo (7400rpm) I got about 45 minutes use from a full charge, which included a significant amount of “undergrowth” clearing that I wouldn’t typically be doing. Your usage will of course be different to mine, but if you’re doing normal speed trimming and edging, I’d expect to get 45 minutes to an hour out of the product on a single battery charge, which is hopefully plenty for the majority of gardens. (If yours needs more than an hours trimming each session, you’ve probably already got a gardener anyway!)

    Pros:
    – fairly lightweight (2.1kg)
    – well-balanced and significant adjustment in length
    – easy to assemble
    – uses nylon line, not proprietary blades

    Cons:
    – rechargeable battery has a finite life (so get a mains-powered or petrol driven one if you need open-ended usage)

    Tips:
    – watch out for “bare” products (i.e. without battery and charger) unless you’ve already got the battery on other tools from the same manufacturer
    – check out the weight of the strimmer: there’s variation by more than 1kg in otherwise similar models in some cases!
    – make sure you know whether it uses continuous nylon line or individual blades; I’d recommend line as it’s much easier to change and makes continuous use easier

Overall, I happily recommend this, and even if it’s not for you, do consider if the criteria I’ve included in the review help you to choose your own (different) one.

Prompt delivery. Very pleased with this strimmer. No flex to get limit use. Battery included, charger included. And I didn’t need to assemble it! Just one screw to fit the shield, simple. I needed a light easy to use strimmer, being a small elderly female. I used it to strim my bank and wall at the side of my lane, a challenge for a small strimmer but it managed it no problem and the battery held out no problem for quite an extensive job. Mostly it’s used to keep my large garden in check, it’s perfect. Very pleased with it.

This works, I use it at my allotment. I was so relieved it came with a battery, but I have bought another battery, so that I can be sure of no loss of power. It does a large area on one though. It’s not loud and can get through allotment weeds too.

Great for a small garden like mine, charged once & used several times edging my lawn & clipping the bits i cant get to with the lawnmower. Only let-down is the charger, 400mah :-{ . for a 2 ah battery which is included with the strimmer ,it takes the charger around 6 hours (yes that’s 6)to fully charge the battery.
Other than that , great strimmer for the price.
