I looked at some of the 15 shock mounts but took a gamble on this. It feels nicely made and the screw to attach the mic is nicely shaped. I’m not sure it’s worth the extra 35 but I’m happy with my purchase. Note, if you’re fitting a Razer Seirin Pro mic you’ll need another washer in addition to the two supplied by Blue because the Seirin has a shallow screw depth.
I needed this for my Compass boom arm. Works well and as intended!
Good purchase. Package was on time, well secured and in perfect condition.
So I bought the compass boom arm and figured, what the heck I’ll get the shock pint as well. This shock mount is super high quality, no some plastic pos. My kid has one of those 30.00 cheap booms and shock mount and the shock mount broke within seconds. Pay the extra money and get the proper equipment for your mic. I bought a blue yeti so I got the blue compass boom and shock mount. Couldn’t be happier with both. Save your time, and hassle and get the good stuff. Does fit the blue yeti mic with 0 issues.
Absolutely love this thing. Fits my boom arm, mic, reduces noise, and looks good doing it. However, I feel I could’ve gotten a similar quality product and saved part of my $50. I DO love this thing and I DO plan to keep it, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a little remorse at the pricetag.
Very robust. It fits well with the microphone arm (maybe a little too well, so I had to adjust the joint screw). It works as advertised, as it isolates the microphone from vibration.
Brought for my son and he is happy with it.
I got this as I purchased a cheaper shock mount that had a smaller footprint and advertised that this is better than the Radius III. This is definitely not true! The shock absorption is 10X better with the Radius III not to mention the build quality. Its easy to tighten using a wide circular wing as well as the base mount to the stand/boom arm.
I highly recommend this for the Yeti!
It does its intended job very well but it’s not cheap
The shock mount does provide good sound and noise isolation but I have found positioning it properly still is more challenging than it should be. The teeth in the angling mechanism is a bit vague and often after I thought it was locked it, it would slip and fall to a lower position. This is perhaps not an easy engineering problem to solve as the microphone is fairly heavy and building a mechanism to last can prove challenging.
I have use this product for about a year, consistently. It has had no issues and has served me well. I would recommend it if you were the owner of a blue yeti microphone.
I’ve had my Blue Yeti for 6+ years, and until I got the Blue Compass Boom, and Radius III shockmount, I never realized what a difference it would make. In everything some conference calls, to gaming chat, to playing guitatar and singing everyone says that my sound is soooo much better; no more rumble and bumps.
I never knew how much sounds traveled through my desk until the shockmount arrived.
Not bad, the mount is really sturdy. When the box came, there wasn’t much in the box. I guess Blue thinks that people who buy this know what they’re doing… luckily, I did know. I wish it was a bit of a lower profile design, but it works none the less.
If you are thinking of getting the entire blue setup like I did, I really recommend buying the package that includes the mic arm, shock mount, and yeti mic. I bought my parts slowly but if I had the money to buy the package, I would have saved around $50+.
I’ve been using this for a while to record lots of audio for a course I’m building (ironically not on sound)
Pros
– Easy to use and setup
– Can be left on the stand or mounted on a microphone stand with a small adapter
– Has a warm range
Overall, this is a really convenient microphone that plugs straight into my Apple Mac Pro laptop without all the drivers or external paraphernalia you would have needed not so long ago. It super handy that it works straight off the bat.
On the back of the microphone you can select a number of options (cardioid, stereo, omnidirectional & bidirectional mode). If you are youtubing (is that now a verb?) or podcasting then you will want this for the cardioid function as it will cut out most of the noise behind the microphone if you are speaking into the front.
It also has a nice warm range with a pleasant bass and mid tone range making you sound more like a podcaster should
Cons
– The gain is too sensitive making plosives (Ps and Ts) more likely
– It tends to swing on the stand
– Loose connection for the headphone
The downsides of the microphone is mainly that the gain is so sensitive and you will need to turn it right down to less than 1 third when it is on. This makes picking up background noise and plosives much more likely if you don’t. I even use a foam head and a pop filter to try and reduce and Ps and Ts sounds. You will also need to turn the headphone volume right up to get what you need (a nice clean sound to broadcast with)
Other cons include the fact it tends to swing on the stand even when secured tightly with the screws on the side.
The other frustration is the fact that the headphone socket I need to monitor myself with, has some loose wiring and I have to wiggle it to get it working again.
Summary
Good sounding microphone if you can get the gain and volume right. Needs a bit of quality work on the stand and headphone socket. A number of reviews have said the audio technica AT2020 is better as is the Rode NT USB. So maybe one of these is next.
Its the thinnest, yet sturdiest option for the Yeti X (and likely normal Yeti). Some complained about the screw that anchors, but it is rock solid on my, fitting the Yeti X perfectly (possibly new version?). The Yeti Blue and X Micro USB connector is right next to the screw mount, so the thicker the mount there OR the surrounding metal lattice, the more likely it puts pressure on the USB cable. In Fact, while I was waiting for this, had the YETI X attached directly to a Rode PSA1, over-rotated mic and it ruined the cable end (thankful not the mic). There is an alternative cheaper model, but it is much thicker. It works, but the lattice and thickness is not as nice as this ‘official’ Yeti one. Dinged only because price should be $10 – $15 cheaper… its just stamped metal with braded elastic.
Compared to other shockmounts it’s best for blue yeti x. Loved it the only issue was it’s quite high in price.
I like the product and it is a perfect match for your mic
I find the product really good and it saves a lot of room on my desk, it been helpful to have in lockdow
It keeps me from putting my face in my microphone.
Klare Kaufempfehlung!
Definitely giving the shock mount a 5-star review, it’s very well built and helps eliminate desk vibrations a LOT (that is at least my experience with it mounted to my Blue Compass Boom Arm, your mileage may vary). I don’t care much for the price as most people I’m sure, $50 feels a little steep but if it’s something that helps you advance a career in music or streaming / podcasting, the investment is definitely worth it to help get clearer audio.
This stand is sturdy, solid and one can tell this is not a toy stand! Easy to attach to desk, as well as the Blue Mic and you can adjust, tilt, position the stand & mic almost any where you will need it! Would I buy again – fer shure!!!
I’d already researched the Blue Radius and was expecting good quality. It didn’t disappoint. What did surprise me was how quickly it arrived! Three business days… outstanding.
I have attached the Blue Radius III to my Blue Compass Premium Microphone Boom Arm. It does exactly as described, its a fantastic product and wouldn’t consider using anything else for my Blue Yeti.
Yeti attached no issue, and the shock mount attached to a rode stand without issue either! Perfect set-up.
I have no issue with the product, but the price of Blue products is way to high in my opinion.
I still purchased them for the quality though.
Super Teil absolut wie beschrieben. Sound um Welten besser gerade in groen Rumen.
This is a pretty great shock mount. Easy to install and set up. It holds my Blue Yeti extremely securely. Eliminated a lot of the residue keyboard tapping noise from my recordings. Really happy with the purchase.
Big, sturdy and has a “built to last” feel to it. The perfect match for a Yeti mic.
A friend of mine had one of these and spoke highly of it, so I bought one, too. It comes nicely packaged – well protected. I have used it twice to record some readings and found it quite lively – meaning I had to be much further away from the mic than anticipated, but given that the recordings were quite good. I would recommend buying the foam microphone cover as well. The stand is quite sensitive to bumps so I had to rest it on a pillow to dampen noise coming from noise on the table. Having said all that I’m glad I bought it and my confidence in it will grow the more I get used to using it.
It is a great shockmount but be aware that it wont be ideal if you do not have much room around your microphone. I have around a 9 inch space between my PC tower and monitors so it left barely any room for my microphone to move around once installed. Their is nothign wrong with this shockmount though, very high quality and recommended if space isnt an issue. Really does cancel out a lot of bumping noise and desk vibrations.
This is the only shockmount worth considering, I have no issues with this product using the Blackout Yeti on a Rode ps-1 boom arm. I can drop a drink on the desk and nothing goes up the boom onto the mic due to the wonder of this lil guy.
As per the title really. I ordered this and paired it with an Innogear arm and pop filter, all work ok. The blue yeti fit nicely inside it, and it’s very light, but the cost of this I felt was pretty excessive.
This microphone fit my blue Yeti X perfectly, at first I thought the screw wasn’t screwing in but then I pushed it a little bit further and before starting to turn it and it fit. Currently it’s holding its weight well, while remaining very stable. It absorbs most vibrations when shaking the table, vibration are no longer traveling through the solid structure of the original stand into the mic. The only complain is even though it’s probably smaller than the blue radius II (which I have never seen in person) this is massive and also has a bit of sag to it on the hinge but it might have been because I tried to attach the boom arm on this while the mic was still in it’s original base. I tried tightening the hinge But it did not work I might have to consider super gluing it in place, which is something I wouldn’t like doing. I could also consider. getting a rubber o-ring, but I would have to buy a pack of these, most of them come in packs of dozens. This is the first time I have to give less than five stars for a product from Blue.
Ist halt ne gute Spinne.
Genau was sie sein soll.
Works well with Blue Yeti mic. No issues what so ever.
Mostly bought this for gaming on CSGO, a lot of people would comment about my bad mic quality (i had a cheap headset mic) so decided to get this yeti mic since it was on sale for 70 pounds.
bought a cheap mic arm as well which i highly advise. checked a lot of reviews if a yeti is placed on the desk it will pick up all the bumps etc so for sure buy a mic boom arm. mine cost 12 pounds and its perfect.
i no longer sound like a jet engine and i managed to get it for cheap – 5 stars from me.
Having bought this well over a year ago I haven’t had any major issues. The simple plug in and use feature of the Blue Yeti is amazing. Not having to download different programs or use mixers to make the mic work is great. The microphone sound quality is good for a USB mic. It’s not amazing but it’s a USB mic so it’s not going to be podcast level. Saying that however just talking to friends in discord or teamspeak it sounds great. No one has ever complained about the audio quality and it sounds infinitely better than a mic on your headset.
The mic is well built and has lots of options on the mic body to mess with, such as gain-set this as low as possible for a good sounding mic, and the different options for where it picks up voices from.
The mic does pickup background noise however not to the point where it becomes annoying.
I would suggest buying a boom arm for this mic because it allows for a less intrusive gaming experience. The mic being big if left on your desk can be in the way along with the fact it will pick up vibrations through the desk. However due to the heaviness of the mic only a few boom arms can support this.
For a plug and use experience you can’t fault the Blue Yeti, coming in at a reasonable price and having good pickup and quality I definitely recommenced this as a great starting mic!
Use it with Blue Yeti USB mic for podcasting and other recording. Well made and simple to install.
Metal design looks and feels good. I had a hard time getting the mount to stay where I wanted it.
I would like to see a custom mount for Blue Yeti mics which need to be used in the upright positio

GRACIAS.

holds my yeti up side down and dont have to worry it falling off at all love i
This item I liked if only the arm stand was the same.
The product quality is good but the screw was too small for my mic, it was advertised that it fits the Blue Yeti, I have the Blue Yeti Blackout, so maybe that was the problem? I returned the item.
The material quality of this shock mount is amazing, but the hinges don’t seem to hold up to the weight of a yeti, or a yeti pro microphone when hanging upside down.
I like this mount a lot better than other ones, as they use metal threads instead of plastics so it wont wear out after removing it a few times.
As far as the functionality goes, it works as expected. It dampens vibrations very well, and is super easy to install.
Shipping was very fast, and on time thanks to Amazon!
This shock mount is for the Blue Yeti Microphone and is a great fit as expected. It seems to support the size and weight of the Blue yeti very well and the main part to be aware of is ensuring that you keep the microphone facing the correct way.
Very nicely engineered piece of gear. Far exceeded expectations. Whole-heartedly recommend.
Fit’s perfect and looks good with my boom arm. If you’re using a Blue Yeti then this is the right shock mount for you
I bought cheaper ones ,i wish I bought this one firs
Suits the blue yeti very well compared to other mounts, unable to hear noises from my desk anymore.
This mic is pretty awesome. I use it while gaming and for making audio recordings and have found it easy to use and the results are great. Quality of sound recordings is brilliant, even works on my iPad using a camera connector so garage band can be used for making quick and easy recordings. Works well for gaming as well, my main use has been through discord and have had no issues with it at all. I think discord has it listed as one of their approved mics.
If you’re looking for a good quality mic but don’t want to spend an absolute fortune buy this..
Works with Yeti, however if using the XLR model, does not work well with the stereo XLR adapter. Because of the length and size of the connectors I had to zip-tie the adapter to the bracket. It’s ugly, but works. If looks are important, grab a stereo XLR extender as well
Strong, sturdy, my mic has plenty of movement. Perfect accessory for any streamer content creator to clear desk space along with the yeti compass boom arm.
This does the job just fine, but it is very expensive for what it is.
It does the job well but it is quite expensive.
Wanted to make my voice sound a lot better when talking to friends and recording/streaming. And I have to say this has helped, removing the humming from my computer and key presses.
Fast and Easy to setup, while it does a good job of dampening vibrations it’s not perfect.
I have a blue yeti mounted to it on a mic arm clamped to my desk. The reason I got this was to prevent vibrations from typing and using the mouse from being heard through the mic. It made a huuuge difference with the amount of vibrations picked up, would recommend but if you are hoping for perfection this is not it, any vibration more intense than heavy typing will be picked up.
The shock mount is fantastic for my yeti blue mic.
I was really hesitant to buy this because of all the complaints about the screw. Same could be said for the radius II. But I needed a shock mount and decided to dive in. The thing screwed in easily and was setup in seconds….! Absolutely no problem installing this thing.
A bit visually blocking if you stream but it works.
Perfect match for Blue Yeti mic. Very durable build and looks solid.
Looks good and works really well to stop the thuds from be moving my mouse or accidentally nudging the desk!
Fits like a glove into my setup. Very well crafted.
Great companion with the Blue Compass mic arm. Stupid simple installation. Solid build quality. 10/10
Was skeptical on spending as much as I did but great product and worth the mild price.
Great construction and material for it’s price, works like a charm.
Does the job very well. It just slopes a little but other than that it’s great!
It’s been working as intended. Not a lot that can go wrong.
I bought a 14 shock mount before deciding to buy this one as it broke after a month. Honestly don’t bother with any other and just go for this one it’s not worth the risk.
Very easy to install and looks good.
As you can see by the dust on my attached picture, I’ve been using this for a while, and I’m a happy man.
When paired with the Blue Yeti boom arm, this thing is rad! I’ve recorded gameplay for YT and they sound great, even though I’m bouncing around all over the place.
If you own a Blue Yeti, get this plus the Blue Yeti boom arm, you won’t regret it.
Not sure what the negative reviewers are talking about, but this mount is excellent. It is very light but very sturdy and my mic no longer pics up any vibrations.
Me and My partner clubbed together to afford this mic. I’ve heard lots of good reviews, and loads of people seem to be using it. It seems to be the “King” of all the mics. I am in love with the design, its definitely better looking than a lot of its competitors. It has several different features to control where sound is heard on the mic, which is fun to play around with. Because of this feature it is a versatile mic which you can use for lots of different stuff, interviews, podcasts, musical rehearsal etc.
I havent fiddled around with it quite enough yet, but I can’t help but feel although I like the mic, that you could get just as good with a cheaper microphone.
Good quality. Fit with most stands. Make my PC setup stylish
Easy to install buit was difficult to get to sit flat/flush while holding microphone.
Decent price, not a huge foot print.
The percect amount of loose vs firm, absorbs vibrations well and holds it grea
It works well, looks good, and a nice price. Best of all, free shipping.
The shock mount is heavy duty and works exactly as it should.
Although I have never used the radius II, it always looked a bit too bulky and expensive for my taste. The Radius III improves in both those departments, smaller (it is still a large object tbh), sleeker looking and 30% cheaper, I decided to take the plunge and got it within the yeticaster bundle as for the difference between the II and the III I would have also gotten a brand new yeti mic… which btw seems to have a unique serial number so it can be used together with any other yeti resolving the USB issues that some described.
Has a smaller profile than the Radius II. Same great quality. Fits my Blue Yeti perfectly.
An excellent mic, especially when compared to other microphones in its price range. The four pick-up patterns make it incredibly versatile, and I’ve found that a surprisingly small amount of fine tuning is required to achieve a good result with voice recording. However, this mic is VERY sensitive, so you may find that better results are achieved by keeping the gain low and isolating any unwanted noise to the best of your abilities – a basic pop filter is also recommended for anybody recording vocals. Regardless, I’ve found that the Blue Yeti has produced crisp, high quality recordings that have far exceeded my expectations – if you’re looking for a good value, high quality microphone for home use then I doubt you could do much better than this. Highly recommended.
I have had this mic now for just over a week, I love it so far and I like it enough to have gotten rid of my old headset and replaced it with a much better set of headphones, however I will say I basically only use Cardiod as it sounds better for my uses, so I cant say much about the other modes, the cost of the mic is likely more than a lot of people will feel comfortable with and I myself don’t feel entirely comfortable with how much I spent on the mic, but quality costs money so I can not complain.
may be worth mentioning since I received the mic I have been using the mic with a stand and pop filter from right near the start so I only used the mic in it default stand for a day.
Pros:
-The sound Quality is better than anything I have used
-Multiple mic modes [Stereo] [Cardioid] [Omnidirectional] [bi-directional]
-It is easy to adjust gain and mic volume along with changing the active mic mode
-Real time voice feedback from the mic port on the yeti
-Plug and play
Cons:
-when using the default mic stand it pics up a fair bit of noise (I have a mechanical keyboard so it picked up more than I want it to) but this can be easily resolved by buying a mic boom
-picks up a lot of background noise when you turn up the gain too high (can be avoided fairly easily by not turning up the gain past 60%)
The Blue Yeti is a fantastic microphone with great quality and has become somewhat iconic with people as being top notch quality, and you get a lot for the price you pay for it. The software it uses is plug and play, and configuration to get a perfect sound is simple and intuitive. It’s fantastic what a difference it can make to your recordings.
Saying that, I expected higher build quality out of the box. A microphone that costs approximately 100+ does deserve to be scrutinized for these minor details. The microphone comes mounted on a surprisingly heavy base, mounted using two screws and knobs. Upon removing it from the stand though, one of the ringlets fell off, as if it was never properly glued on. This is a minor letdown for such an expensive product, and means that should I need to use the included stand at any point, extra care will be needed to prevent damage.
Further to that, a lot of the knobs and button feel rather cheaply affixed to the microphone. This wasn’t too apparent to begin with, but comparing the solid body structure of the mic, to the thin plastic knobs and the mute button that occasionally refuses to acknowledge input, it makes me reel at the thought that such an otherwise fantastic microphone is let down by the minute details that you expect for the price tag. Some of them, especially the knob for pattern selection, is incredibly difficult to turn, making it infuriating if using the microphone in an arm mount.
Lastly, while I had no problems with this personally, designed mounts for the Blue Yeti will not fit in certain Blue Yeti microphones due to a production error, causing the machined thread to be a bit wider than designed. This doesn’t affect the performance of the microphone unless you want to mount it using an arm or in a shock mount, but was warned to me by the manufacturer of my shock mount (they offered a full refund if this was the case), and even mentioned this can happen with Blue Mics own mounts. Hopefully this has since been ironed out and not too many of these are in circulation.
It’s a real shame, since the quality on display is otherwise nearly perfect: It’s sleek, stylish, and delivers well on the 100+ price tag for sound quality, but the physical build quality leaves a sour taste to an otherwise great product. It’s possible I got one from a “Monday morning” batch, but it’s enough for me to only give it 4 stars.
I did a lot of research before buying any semi-pro mics and with a lot of experience using the professional range of cardioid mics I needed something that could record direct to the PC without any hassle and sound like a studio recording. There was too main routes I could take, either get a reasonable studio mic and pay for a good USB audio interface to connect it all together or go for an all in one solution.
The all in one solution is much cheaper and easier to set up, I just had to work out which one of the many products to choose. After listening to dozens of comparisons and recorded clips I chose this one, the reason is that it is much clearer than any of the cheaper Blue microphones and the 4 modes give it a slight edge over any of the similar condenser mics. Ultimately with the built in headphone monitoring and knobs to adjust everything on the mic this wins hands down. It also shows up on Amazon Deals quite often hence I now have 2!
Arrives nicely packaged and well protected. The box with Yeti feels weighty since we have a lump of metal rather than a cuddly furry monster. My first copy was a bit dodgy with marks and the side screws jammed too tight to unscrew. Amazon promptly got a seocond copy to me next day and it’s fine.
In the box are the Yeti, aUSB lead and a brief manual which is enough to get you going.
The mic is simple to set up and simple to use in programs like Sonar Producer – Yeti for input and sound card for output. It has four patterns form which to choose depending upon how you want to use the mic. There’s a gain control too. On the other side there’s the Yeti headphone socket volume control and a mute button for the mic. The mic can be taken off its desktop base and attached to other stands. The sound is very good indeed. It’s very sensitive. I heard complaints of clipping but have not found this.
It looks somewhat unusual and large but not ugly. I bought this Platinum limited edition model since it’s as far as I know exactly the same as the other Yeti offerings but up to 30% cheaper. – why pay more?
