I am a totally beginner to telescopes but my daughter has taken an interest in the stars as we will in a dark sky park. The instructions are not very helpful at all as they seem to assume you know a little about lenses and when to use them.
I did however manage to set up the telescope with my little knowledge but when it came to using the phone holder I could not get it to work. The holder would not hold my phone in place it kept falling out of the holder or then the scope.
We have used the scope a couple of times and have enjoy what we have see and with a bit more practice and knowledge I’m sure we will continue to enjoy spending our time together with our new interest.

Nice for beginner but some knowledge needed

I ordered this because I have always been interested in telescopes but didn’t want to spend a large amount of money before trying it out as a hobby.

This kit is very beginner-friendly, it’s quick to assemble and comes with an assortment of accessories which make it quite versatile. The instructions whilst not crystal clear were easy enough to follow to get me set up and looking at the sky within 10 minutes. I nice benefit of this telescope is that it is all packed inside a carry case, this is particularly useful for me because unfortunately, I don’t have the room to keep this constantly assembled. So the fact that assembly/disassembly only takes 10 minutes means I can pack this away quickly after I have used it and tuck it away to clear the room.

The kit comes with 2 lenses 10mm and 25mm which gives you a choice of magnification depending on the subject you are looking at. It also comes with a Barlow lens which from my understanding uses some fancy optics to further magnify. With these lenses, I was able to get some great shots of the moon and some faraway trees capturing some beautiful shots of squirrels and bees. The kit also comes with a phone mount which is a bit tricky to get set up, especially with bigger phones but once was able to get it attached I managed to take some pictures with the included Bluetooth remote. The remote is needed because when magnifying at such long distances a simple tap of the screen causes a little shake which makes the picture blurry.

Overall I am happy with it, it’s a nice starter set to get me into the hobby. I would recommend it to anyone just starting out like me.

Excellent for a beginner like me

The first thing that struck me about this telescope is the fact everything is fitted into a single case. Individual items have their own bags too, so everything is well protected and kept together.

The quality of manufacture appears good. No sharp edges or madly mould plastic.
It is a bit of a puzzle to get it together, had to read the supplied instructions a few times. A more experiennded person would probably have less issues.

Image quality appears good. I struggle with binoculars so a telescope is my preferred optical device.

I have as yet not managed to get my phone successfully mounted (Moto G30) so have been unable to take pictures.

I am impressed with this telescope. It opens up extra night sky viewing opportunities to me, at a reasonable price for the quality.

    Well presented bit of kit.

We’ve tried a couple of telescopes. I waited to review this until there was a couple of clear skies at night.

This took us some time to set up properly and figure out how it works. The zoom is quite good for larger objects like the moon. Less so, for further stars. Still it is lovely to see things clearer. Great for children who are interested in astronomy. You can see a couple of constellations much better.

It seems well made and good quality and I definitely recommend it.

Who doesn’t love star glazing as well as watching animals in their natural habitat. I am no different. I had some great time with this telescope watching moon and seals around UK. The manual isn’t so great but I managed to put this together and have this setup. It is easy to set this telescope. You can easily change the lens direction and angle. The optical view finder comes with a battery and do help you find somewhat closer angle for the object that you are looking for. The tripod is light in weight and is easy to assemble. You can also adjust the height of the tripod. You will need a stable surface to be able to get a clearer view of the object. The components fits well together. The 10X and 25X lenses included in the package are well protected in a small container. The good quality long bag is also provided with Velcro straps to which holds the tripod and lens firmly and protects it from any damage during travel.

The tightening screws are small so when its cold and you have gloves on then it is bit difficult to tighten the screws. A bigger screws would have been better. You need to be careful while loosening or tightening them so that you don’t loose them.

Its bit difficult to adjust the camera lens with the lens of the telescope to capture photos because the diameter of the telescope lens is bit smaller or somewhat similar to mobile camera lens so you see a black circle in the photos that you try to capture. I think this is a great telescope for beginner and a great tool to have alongside for full family fun time.

Excellent for beginners, fun moments for full family

I have never used a telescope before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I am definitely classed as a beginner! This was super easy to set up and I was really impressed with the quality of the product and how sturdy and high-quality felt.
I couldn’t use it initially as the sky was very cloudy and I couldn’t really see anything. But once we had a clear night it was a brilliant tool to use looking out of the window. It’s better when not used through a window and I would recommend taking it outside or having a window open — it would be great with a skylight that you could open.
A particular feature I like is that you can attach your phone to the telescope and take pictures of what you can see through the telescope! Really impressed and I really like this feature.
This would make a great present for a child/teenager/adult as it’s just a super piece of kit and really easy to use for a beginne

excellent value telescope well worth the money for learning and getting used to using the scope and target site, only downside is the phone holder is quite flimsy and by the time the phones on you will of lost the target, other than that a brilliant piece of ki

Me and my son are having lots of fun with this.

It all comes very well packaged and the telescope and tripod were all fairly simple to get set up.

We had trouble getting it properly focused, due to the instructions which weren’t very clear; we got there in the end though and we’re very happy with it.

For the price, you’re getting a great starter telescope which is built very well and seems durable.

It comes with a carry bag, remote control, protective covers and all the attachments you need for looking at the sky at night.

    Excellent value.

We are just learners as star gazing. I can point out the major star /star groups. My husband and I love looking up into the stars and seeing them.
We found the instruction a little wordy but got there eventually. Setting up the telescope and learning the name for all the bits and what each lens did to view the stars. We tried to set up the phone holder/lens, but on the first go didn’t manage it, but the phone has an ‘on the side camera lens’, so it might not be the best to set it up on the first go. ~We love that it comes with a bag for everything to be neatly stored away in.
Overall we are happy with this telescope. It is a great starter telescope and could be a good investment for any budding stargazer.
