Nice and lightweight. Mum is partially disable and struggles with heavy items. She is able to use this. The blower power though could be bit better and more powerful.

After much research decided on this leaf blower as it uses the battery as my Bosch Hedge Trimmer (gives me the option of another battery if job is taking longer than anticipated), it’s lightweight, easy to use and, although nowhere as powerful as my petrol blower, it tidies up following grass cutting, blows dry leaves into a pile and blows all the loose dust and grass off the lawnmower -just what I wanted it to do!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was to replace a large and cumbersome mains powered blower / vacuum that we hardly ever used because it was so heavy and unwieldy. It’s nice and lightweight and is powerful enough for our use.

One thing to be aware of if you have other Bosch 18V garden tools is that it comes with a charger despite it only saying it came with a battery and not mentioning the charger itself. What’s even more annoying is that the combined cost of the naked version without battery or charger and an extra separate battery is more than what this costs. Crazy.

I will be honest, I thought it was lacking some power. It could do with more power. That said it does look good, pretty light and easy to use and charge. Good quality.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe are surrounded by trees so Autumn is a busy time for leaf clearing. I bought this as a back up to my more powerful mains powered device. As I needed something for small jobs.

Does exactly what I wanted; small, light weight. Great for small jobs, mainly clearing my driveway. I get more than enough time out of a charge for this job.

As others have said the blower is not as powerful as a mains driven device so I use that second one for my back garden and damp leaves.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat for blowing away small things but blowing power for leaves about the size of 50p needs some improvement. This was brought as an aide to cleaning a car so will see how well it works for that the next time the cars cleaned.
The length of the blower pipe is also too short, being 6ft 1, it can be strain to use it for garden use

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m really pleased with this blower as its nice and light to hold plus it’s not very loud. Yes it’s also not the strongest blower in the world and you probably won’t compete with the ones shown in videos found on internet where they blow tons of leaves allover the place in a mini tornado but it does its intended job very effectively at moving gumph and detritus on hard surfaces as well as dry leaves off the lawn. I’m not sure that I’d need anything stronger as it would become too difficult to control.

Once the trigger button has been released, you need to wait for a second or two before pressing again otherwise nothing happens – this is expected behavior. The battery is easy to get on and off and the unit feels comfortable to hold as it is weighted for balance.

Like most things, it takes a bit of practice getting accustomed to how best to use it.
Sometimes it feels like herding cats.

Bought this to be able to quickly blow leaves from the garden and pathway, without messy cables. Brilliant for the job. Lightweight, easy to use and not too powerful that leaves blow in every direction. The battery has lasted long enough for my use, in a decent size garden. Would recommend.

This is lightweight and handy. 17 mins runtime is fine for me to be able to blow the leaves into piles then rake and scoop into a barrow. It may not be to most powerful but I do have a lot of trees shedding loads of leaves and it has been superb this autumn. Really pleased not to be using my old petrol blower. Be aware that there is no vac option. The battery charges in an hour.

I already had a mains powered Blower but found it very inconvenient to keep dragging a great long cable around our communal drive which is about 70yds by 15yds. The drive gets completely covered in Chestnut leaves at this time of year and needs to be cleared almost daily. This little machine has transformed this onerous task into FUN. The output blast is more than enough to shift the leaves, pine needles and all other debris. The battery was still going strong after clearing the whole drive with lots in reserve. Other reviews have mentioned a starting problem but as the handbook states, not to restart it when switched off but with the fan still running down – it can be restarted after the fan has stopped. A bonus comes from having the battery being interchangeable with my Bosch Hedge Trimmer to give me loads of capacity to do either jobs. I can usually find something to criticise with purchases but in this case there is nothing. Amazing. Money well spent.

I had bought several 18v bosch battery devices so had the batteries and chargers – found this to be a useful little blower for those times when you just need a quick job doing so it’s not worth getting the mains powered blower out. Unbelievably light. Not the most powerful, but adequate for light jobs.

Not the most powerful blower I’ve used, but for a cordless unit it’s enough for a small garden. Blows everything except very wet leaves stuck on the ground.

Biggest pros for this is it is light and cordless, so won’t hesitate to take it out for a very quick tidy up around the garden instead of using a broom.

We bought this blower for our Mum for her birthday and she’s delighted with it. Overall, it’s really very light and as she suffers from joint problems, she’s able to use it for the time she wants. I was a bit skeptical when we got it out the box, but once the battery (which had been charged prior to it being sent) was fitted, we gave it a little test run in the garden and it worked very well on blowing the leaves into the corner of the garden where they could be easily collected. Not sure how long the battery will last, but it lasted long enough for the front and back garden.

Excellent for removing leaves from corners and awkward spaces where a brush can’t easily reach. But takes practice to corral them into a neat pile! Not so good for wet leaves that have been trampled down – you’ll probably need to loosen them with a wire rake first. The spec is silly saying it has an air speed of 210 km/h – the amount of air matters just as much. A useful product if you already have the battery with your cordless drill for example, but rather harder to justify if you have to get a battery and charger specially for the blower. I think it would struggle to cope with anything heavier than leaves – such as hedge trimmings.

Update after a years use: Perfect in every way, but, there seems to be an inherent problem with the on-off trigger. Often fails to switch on, after a few seconds and a ‘tap’ on the handle, the switch reactivates. Somewhat frustrating and surely Bosch should be aware? Other than that could not do without this blower. Battery life adequate but recommend you buy two batteries.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor a lightweight blower the power is excellent and battery life in use more than adequate.

Varoisus complaints about delays when starting blowing are because users are not awaiting the fan stopping from a previous blowing session… Easily learnt to wait a few seconds (prsumably to protect the motor) and then pressing the button to re-power the blower. It works just fine when technique is learnt and used.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersM mother has an ongoing war with leaves. Personally I think it is a bit made going out on a daily basis to rake them up when there will just be more tomorrow until the trees finsih shedding them. Alas, my logic doesn’t help. In the face of her advancing years and insistence on going out daily to rake the leaves despite it hruting her back I bought her this little leaf blower. It is light weight and can be easily stored in an outdoor garden box. My mother is now able to gather all the leaves quickly into a pile with a brisk walk around the yard. The 17mins run time is plenty for her middle sized yard and because she has a bosch hedge trimmer too already she can charge and swap the cross compatible batteries for more run time if necessary.

Whilst not producing anywhere near as much power, it is perfectly adequate for blowing away the leaves and grass clippings for which it’s required. Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersUnfortunately it only briefly spun the motor after a full charge. Amazon as good as they always are got it changed for me. The new one is better but still does it. I looked on the reviews here and found I was not the only one. Are all these really broken or is there something missing? The mistake I might have made was snatching the battery off the charger as soon as I saw the continuous light indicating it was full. I think there is a possibility that the battery should be left a little longer to possibly cool down before use. But there is nothing in the Bosch manual about this so I don’t know for sure yet.

As for it’s operation, its not as powerful as a petrol blower, but is still good. It much lighter than a petrol blower and there is no petrol to mess about with either. Its still powerful enough I think. I see plenty of criticism about these not working well in the wet. I think it really is common sense to go out on a dry day and you will get a much better job.

I am pleased with mine apart from the niggling starting fault which could be an undocumented operator error. If it is, then Bosch really need to include in in their rather basic manual.

  72. Anonymous says:

I bought mine after most leaves had fallen and had been gathered up so when mine arrived there wasn’t really much use for it. However I found the odd task for it and it was during these tasks that I occasionally found that mine wouldn’t start when operating the blower switch.
It’s now February, and I used it yesterday for blowing away some light Winter debris from around the house etc and again there was at least one occasion when the blower would not start. I rocked the switch up and down several times, removed and replaced the battery and managed to get it working again and thereafter no further trouble.
I don’t know what to do with my blower though realise it comes with at least a 2 years warranty.
In all other respects it’s adequate although some technique will need to be mastered to eventually gather the leaves in my Garden come this Autumn.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery compact garden blower. I just bought the bare tool as I have a Bosch Drill that uses the same battery and charger as the blower so saved some money there. Works a treat for my needs. The nozzle can be taken off for storage and the battery slides on and off easy enough (my own battery as this is a bare tool). I have not timed how long it lasts on a single charge but I have always managed to complete my garden on one charge so is great for my needs but it states 10 minutes run time in the amazon description. It has a Syneon Chip which appears to be the latest technology. This is a blower and there is no vacuum setting in case anyone thinks there is. I’m very happy with my Bosch blower and all other Bosch tools I have purchased recently. Great gadget for the garden.

Supplied without battery and charger. Excellent as it uses the same Li-On pack as the hedge trimmer which I already own. Lightweight and easy for the wife to use as long as you don’t expect it to move piles of wet leaves.
Bosch battery powered stuff is excellent. I have had a Li-On powered lawnmower, used regularly on a 200sq.M lawn for nearly eight years and the mower will wear out before the batteries do.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDoes what it says on the tin, ie it blows air. Bought the version without a battery because I already had 2. X 1.5ah batteries that came with a Bosch drill. On a full charge you get about 15mins of a moderately fast air stream that shifts dry leaves off hard surfaces with ease. Not so good on grass but I normally ‘hoover’ these up with the lawn mower. Only gripe is the price – 55 seems a lot of money for what is in effect just an electric motor and fan in a plastic shell (no doubt the technical experts would argue that there are all sorts of fancy circuits inside but compared to other electronic appliances this seems a tad expensive)
