I bought one for myself and loved it so much because it doesn’t have a bulky brick shape end to the handle as many cordless drills do. Easy to use, strong and lightweight.
Powerful and lightweight but no indicater show remain battery life
Very good drill. Saved me when builders forgot theirs. Small and powerful
Very light, good if you have not enough space. Easy to manoeuvre
Nice small easy to use drill only used on one project so far but pleased with resul
Plus – Good Drill, powerful, well built.
Minus – The led light is placed in such a way that it may light just below the work area but not the work area.
Ideal for what I need. Serious DIYer and needed something lightweight and with a decent battery life. Will only get used occasionally but when it does I need it to perform and so far so good. Can’t comment on what the battery life will be like after a couple of years but very impressed so far. I like the fact the that drill spindle locks itself so the chuck can easily be tightened and untightened.
Battery just enough to build 1 wordrobe including drilling. Good for non-professionals
I like many things about this drill – its lightweight but sturdy and well made. It closes down to nothing unlike some other drills that I have had before, and of course because of its lightness is less likely to break a fine drill. Conversely it copes with more beefy jobs and accepts a 10mm drill bit. Love the slimline battery – no chunky lump at the end. Go buy one, you wont regret it.
Better than I expected to be honest. I imagined this might be an excellent lightweight screw driver but it’s proved to be an excellent wood-drill too. I’ve reluctantly used my larger dewalt drill/driver in some cases as it has more torque but I’m mighty impressed with this baby. I’ve had mine about 8 months now and i’ve gone mad building wooden structures in the garden! This driver hasnt let me down and the battery life is impressive!
To be honest, the main reason I bought this was because I had to drill a hole in a cabinet, which it was perfect for!
But then I got a bunch of furniture from Ikea that we obviously had to assemble by hand, and this was a precious help when it came to screws.
The battery life is really great, and the machine has a lot of torque control for almost any job!
I’m really happy with it!
My favourite tool now. I have 3 different sizes in BOSCH drill/screwdrivers and this one is by far the most versatile. My new best friend, I don’t start any DIY project without it by my side.
The Bosch EasyImpact isn’t perfect but exceeded my expectations. The main issue I have with it is weight – it is quite heavy and not balanced awfully well – it is a fair but heavy than my Ryobi screwdriver and lighter than my mains hammer drill, but after some use you kind of forget about that. The torque limiter works in that it slips when it should, but the vibrations set up by the slip cause the screw (or whatever you’re driving) to keep turning at a very slow rate. Not really a problem but something I haven’t come across before.
In drill mode there is not a lot to shout or whinge about. However, in impact mode it does an amazing job. In use, it doesn’t feel like it is doing much in impact terms, certainly not on the same pitch as my hammer drill, but it still manages to go through bricks like they’re (OK, frozen) butter, presumably due to the high frequency of bangs per rev. Significantly, the holes produced are much better in that they are accurately placed and the exact size of the drill – something my hammer drill isn’t too good at!
In all modes, the speed is easily controllable via the trigger, something many drills and screwdrivers aren’t good at. There is a positive stop when the trigger is released as well, a screwsaver if one doesn’t have torque control but still jolly useful with it.
Equally impressive is the battery life. It’s not going to last forever but even in impact mode it makes a good account of itself. The battery, of course, is used in all the EasyWhatever range so if you have more than one of these tools you have a spare battery. Charging is an hour from flat, so even without a spare it’s still bearable.
Why did I wait so long to replace my Makita drills?
Great tool and great service
