Matched Bosch appliances in kitchen. Easy to use. Solid and looks good
3x what my last one cost me but that only lasted 4 years before going bang. This one has been great so far. Easy to use and easy to clean.
bought for my mum as having problems with old one. Pick this as easy to see and use controls for those without perfect visio
Love everything about this microwave. It’s been easy to work out how to use it, there’s plenty of room inside it. Great to have different power options too
Very Easy to use. One knob for timing is very straight forward. Only slightly annoyingly aspect is you have to turn it through 60 seconds before you reach the minutes. Otherwise good looking, roomy microwave.
It’s a good microwave. It’s easy to clean and competitively priced. The only irritation is that to set the time you have to scroll, second by second, to your desired time.
Very lovely microwave made of high standard materials, I definitely recommend this produc
Not stainless steel interior but a very powerful extractor fan which minimises steam.
This was a replacement for a built in microwave. Very simple to use. It is fairly large, but I have plenty of room on my kitchen unit. I heat ready meals and some of them require a number of minutes plus a number of seconds, which can only be set as whole minutes after 5.I have overcome this by just going to the next whole minute without a problem.
Difficult to set time for cooking!. Must scroll thru too much time to get to desired cooking time!
This is a large capacity microwave with 900w of power. It is well made, and very easy to use. You just turn the knob to dial up the desired time, press a button to select power from 90w to 900w with three other levels in between, and press Start to cook. It can do more sophisticated programs besides, including allowing you to dial up the weight of your food so it automatically calculates the cooking time for you. The only minor complaint is the brushed steel front marks easily with finger prints. But, that is always the case with brushed steel appliances, and it is easy enough to clean. Overall, I would recommend this microwave.
Great quality microwave. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Very happy with purchase.
VERY EASY TO PROGRAM.LOOKS GOOD.MATCHES OTHER APPLIANCES IN KITCHEN.
I purchased this for my daughter, however I’ve had the same model for 5 years now & no issues. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t just ‘beep’ when finished like 3 times, it beeps until you open it which can be a bit annoying if you’re the other side of your kitchen.
I like this microwave. It works and it’s easy to use and good to clean. Like other people said it’s not stainless steel all around, which gives it a bit of a cheap look. I’m not sure if any microwaves are all stainless steel. But for the price I’m holding it against it. It’s pretty loud also. There is one memory button, which is super easy to set and use. I like it so much, I now wish there were more memory buttons. However, I appreciate they kept the design simple.
This replaced a Panasonic microwave, which was about 5 years old. It is a big improvement. It is visually pleasing and the white, well-lit interior is particularly useful. The microwave is easy to use. The only negative is the fact that it comes with a ’30 beep repeat’ warning when the cooking has finished . This is easily changed to 3 beeps in a few seconds (it’s in the manual). I can’t imagine why anyone at Bosch would have thought that 30 beeps would be useful!
The microwave is very good, solidly built, powerful and I really like it. There are some odd features though; when it finishes your cooking it beeps and I don’t mean once, it beeps and beeps and beeps. It will beep until the mountains are washed to pebbles and a millions stars flair into existence and flicker to their deaths. Honestly, if you don’t open that door then it will beep until you want to cut your own ears off.
Another odd feature is even when the cooking is finished, and the inevitable beeping is going on again, the fan will carry on going to cool it down for a minute or two. It’s not a big deal, but it is a bit odd I’ve never known a microwave have a fan on after it’s finished cooking.
Anyway, a good microwave, more bearable if you’re deaf or just used to being nagged mercilessly.
I did a lot of research before replacing a 20 year old Hotpoint 850W microwave. I also read all the reviews on Amazon and other sellers’ sites.
*The size was good for family cooking (many were too small).
*Easy to use and versatile.
*Heavy enough not to move when opening the door.
*Looks good (white option available).
*Despite other reviews, it was easy to unpack and remove the plastic film used to prevent scratching.
*30 beeps easy to change to 3 but can be useful
Overall, a great solo family microwave which is simple to operate and nice to look at.
Pleased with this Microwave, easy to use and accepts large oval plates no problem, csnnot fault it so far.
The best feature in my opinion is being able to see what’s cooking and to be able to keep an eye on things like custard. porridge etc. The other advantage is the large turntable and oven capacity. It is really simple to use and it looks very smart standing on my kitchen side.
I use my new microwave for reheating food and making porridge.
Love this as easy to use and I don’t have to dry the inside of it every time I use it, unlike some cheaper models. Good size as well.
I like the look of the microwave , large clock display and large oven space.
Just for reheating our food, jacket potatoes are easy to do and obviously don’t take as long to do when in a hurry.
This is the best microwave I have ever had. It’s basic no silly gadgets. You select the power and turn dial to required minutes. I highly recommend this.
We only gave 4 stars as this microwave is god. It is a great size which was one of the main reasons why we bought it. But it is complicated to use and beeps for a long time after it has finished. Which we dont like.
You will need to read the manual
Like the white interior – makes it easier to clean and looks good
Good size microwave oven, large dinner plate sit very easily on turntable. Easy to use selection of power for all types of food. Definitely recommend.
Very nice and good quality BOSCH. I can only recommend
Very easy to use ,powerful,reliable-second one of these we have purchased and only renewed as 10 years old , still working and looking as new ,changed only as we like to have new appliances.highly recommended and very good value for money
Looks great. Works well. Quite complex and could do with being a bit more simple to operate
Very easy to set and use and so far pleased with this purchase as I wanted a simple microwave rather than an added grill and only memory settings.
Nice, simple microwave. Easy to use, clean and looks good.
I decided to buy this Bosch Microwave thinking i was getting good German build quality..To my disappointment the writing on the box says ‘Made in China’..Casing is painted steel not Stainless..only bit stainless is the front !…Casing was covered in protective film which was rather difficult to remove…I was going to leave it on but feared it would bubble up with the heat…Door button seems stiff and flimsy..and the twist time knob is plastic and wobbles..so i don’t know how long it will last..only sits on 3 feet so i had to put a sticky felt pad on the fourth one to stabilise it…If it wasn’t for the fact i am paying in monthly installments i would probably return it and buy a cheaper brand that would probably be better value..All in all i dont think its worth the price of 149…..
I received only a very beautiful microwave
but I really wanted and microwave and oven in the same uni
Easy to clean but very noisy….beeps at end of timer go on and on and the noise from the fan is a lot more noticeable than my last microwave.
Nice neat looking microwave, fits under my wall cupboards on worktop.lots more power than my old Twenty five year old microwave.
My previous microwave was becoming decrepit so I got this one to replace it with. The first few times I used it, it felt non intuitive. But now, I am used to it and it is great. When I use it, I put the food in the oven, shut the door, press 900, twist the knob to give me the cook time, say 2mins, then press start.
Note: at first power up, or after a blackout, the oven will default to giving 30 beeps when it finishes cooking. Quite irritating. Just reset it to give the minimum of 3 beeps. (Press and hold the start button for 6 seconds, it will beep, then twiddle the knob to get the number of beeps you want)
The rotating turntable is identical to my previous oven so I kept the old turntable, in case I drop the new one!
To defrost food, I just select 180 or 360 and set the time to 10 mins. That defrosts my bowl of soup fine.
To cook in and reheating. Prefer digital don’t like the manual knob.
Disappointed thought it was stain less steel inside and out. Very good light inside when cooking you can see clearly. Up to now working ok on reading the Instruction Booklet bit confusing about when to use 900. 600 etc etc. Looks nice .
Can’t press a button to increase time in minutes but apart from that fabulous! Lovely looking microwave!
A microwave oven needs a couple of years use for a fair trial. All I can say is it’s very simple to use. Power settings have there own buttons and time is set by rotary dial. It beeps for 30 seconds at the end but that can be easily changed.
Seems solid enough and smart.
i would have liked it in white but apart from that very good micowave nice and big inside very pleased with i
Easy to use good capacity feels a little thin in build quality does everything well though
Big, well made, and very simple to operate. basic microwave.
Just what I needed.
Brilliant microwave , smart and sleek Easy to use and Bosch reliability and finish . Really pleased with my buy
Not had long but so far so good. Have other Bosch appliances so expected will be just as reliable.
This is a repeat buy for us. Previous one died after many years and replaced with the same.
Replaced our old NEFF built in microwave with this Bosch stand alone micro. Design is identical to my old NEFF (18 years old!!). Chose it for this reason as the design is simple and easy to use/clean. Amazing to see the design is still the same. Excellent.
Great product takes a while to get used to the settings
First Bosch product bought, slightly larger than we are used to,but looks and feels quality, has a cooling fan too,you can change the beeps from 20 to 3,plus lots of different power modes, well pleased with this product.
Ok, easy to set up and use. Energy saving rated.
A very easy to use microwave with a clear instruction booklet. It has a plethora of settings to suit a multitude of needs. If you keep a lid on your food then the inside stays remarkably clean and minimises the time spent cleaning, unlike any previous microwave I have had.
We had the Siemens version of this built in to our kitchen in our previous home, so when we moved we bought this (the same microwave just branded Bosch and obviously not a built-in version). Works perfectly, exactly the same functionality and power as the Siemens version. Very pleased.
Seems a little lighweight compared with our old microwave but works well and has some extra settings which are very useful.
An excellent quality machine witch is built to last, good to look at and very easy to use.
A review from my Dad as hes not great with technology: I really like this microwave. Larger than the one it replaced, and the inside turntable seems bigger even though the same number of litres in size. Easy to set too, as this is the first oven in along time that I’ve set the clock on.
Should have bought Bosch in the first place having been using their products for over 35 years. As always quality assured, took approx. thirty seconds to set up,simple to operate with easy buttons instead of a touch panel.Easy clean interior, display very bright and clear to read. Had to return previous microwave after 10 days as faulty.Albeit expensive well worth the extra cost.Came with quality control label for inspections it had passed, what other manufacturer gives this satisfaction.
When we first took it out of the packaging my wife said that it was “very white” but it did not take long for us to get used to it. Also it looked fairly basic but in use it has been excellent. It does exactly what we would expect but very simply. No need to worry about too many different settings or buttons. An all round excellent microwave.
This microwave isn’t as cheap to buy as some others BUT it will probably outlast all of them by a considerable margin. Whenever my partner and I are faced with replacing an electronic product in homeware we pretty much go straight for a Bosch product. Reason? They do what they should and have lasted. They also look good as well. This microwave is no exception.
Basic Microwave very easy to set and use and cooks well. Plenty of room to get things in and out and for cleaning. If you like no fuss basic this is for you. I bought black to match my Bosch hob and oven and it looks good.
Pros:
——-
– Does what it says on the box – it’s a microwave, and one with convenient power setting buttons (900 watts, 600 watts, etc.)
– Brushed stainless steel and comparatively fewer buttons make for a sleek, minimalist look
Cons:
——-
– Buttons and knob are made of cheap, silver coloured plastic
– Idiotically packaged (it comes with this thin layer of plastic stuck on to it which is a real pain to remove! It breaks if you tug strongly at it, so you have to sit there and slowly peel it off for what feels like a half hour! Extremely annoying!
– There may be better value units out there (I was looking at the Panasonic NN-GD37HSBPQ in particular, which may actually be a better deal here on Amazon. I’ve seen the Panasonic in real life, and it looks and feels every bit as good as this Bosch, but it has better features and is even a little cheaper!).
So overall I was hoping for something a step up from a Panasonic, but instead I ended up with a (very slightly) inferior machine with a Bosch logo on it. Not a bad microwave overall, quite nice to look at, but then so is the competition. Do yourself a favor – save yourself 10 quid and just get the Panasonic.
I’ve only had this microwave for 2 weeks so can only review based on this short period. The 900w power is a step up from my previous microwave, it has a really good internal capacity, has a handy memory feature for oft used time/power combos and the materials seem to be of decent quality.
My only niggle is the bleeping “I’ve finished microwaving” seems to go on for far too long.
I’m hoping it last as well as my other Bosch appliances.
Sturdy looking microwave.- easy to use once you get used to temperatures.
There are no cons to this product, buying Bosch is a must for good quality. The pros for this product is ease of use the ability to “hide” the main dial with a push button effect and the large diameter internal plate is also very helpful. Highly recommended!
This microwave is very easy to use and has different heat settings which is good. Looks nice in white and easy to clean inside.
I had one of these in silver and after many years it gave up. It was the best microwave I had ever had so I looked for the same type again. Apart from the colour it seems to same with the added bonus that the writing on the controls is much, much clearer.
Does not have all the functions of previous microwave we had which makes it much simpler to use once one is used to it.
We decided we did not use these functions and chose this one deliberately. As we have only had it for a short time we cannot comment on anything else..
Does what it’s supposed to. Door is noisy when closing so may have to find my own solution, such as small felt buffers stuck on inside edge.
We were looking for a decent white microwave without all the extra frills, and big enough to take a 300+mm dish. The build quality is what we’d expect from Bosch, not thin and plasticy. Indeed, the door is quite a clunk to close. The controls are very intuitive, and you can dial the required time with the single dial control, down to the last secong, plus choose one of three power settings. It’s no noisier than you’d expect, and you can set the cooking complete pings down to three pings if you want. Register the two year guarantee online at the Bosch website, the details you need are printed just inside the door.
We bought this because we’d had basically the same model, with a Neff badge, semi built-in at a previous house and it served us well for 15 years. If, like us, you don’t use all th bells and whistle on the more flashy models but just want something reliable where you can very quickly set the power and time, this is a good bet.
We purchased this machine to replace our 15 year old Bosch / NEFF microwave. It appears identical in terms of size, looks and controls, the display is brighter (good) and the door release needs a heavier press to open (childproof). The inside oven finish is white rather than stainless steel and this looks pretty durable. The machine appears to be solid and well made.
This is a basic, simple to operate microwave uncluttered with unwanted buttons and features. It seems to be just what we required.
You will set the number of beeps to 3 when you get it by holding the start button down for 7 seconds.
This is basic and simple and it works well. Dial starts at 1 minute when select power; goes down by 1 sec units, up by 10 seconds, then by minutes. CLEVER design to avoid a keypad.
Can see clearly inside. Quiet. Does not steam up. Has auto fan that runs to clear condensation so no rusting. Does not get hot.
Not only that, but the LED display is BRIGHT and easy to read from across the room. Has memory button for a single setting (time and power) of your choice.
Really no complaints about anything.
We love this! After going through all the microwaves online we choose this BOSCH one. It’s not too big and has room for a dinner plate if needed and best of all you can adjust the power settings. I initially wanted a stylish retro exterior but could not find one that has the same robust stainless steel cabinet this one has. Worth the money and great shipping times.
Very nice design and works fine. My only criticism is the number of beeps when the microwave has finished……..my last microwave beeped five times on completion which I found pretty irritating. After all – I set the time and I know about when its finished. This Bosch oven beeps….wait for it …..TWENTY FIVE times unless you open the door. So if you have put something on for 2 minutes and you get distracted or need to take a phone call or go to another room, you have to endure an infuriating minute or so of loud beeps. Whoever designed the program probably never uses this microwave at home….. otherwise its fine. It is a little lightweight as highlighted by another reviewer…
we wanted a microwave just to heat up the odd meal, adding etc and as simple to operate as possible. This one fits the bill as it is simply a matter of choosing what power setting and time you require. Surface looks a good quality enamel so easy to keep clean and the interior glass plate is substantial and easy to locate.
It is slightly dearer than your average “supermarket” offering but when you read their reviews we wanted something that lasts and based on other Bosch products decided to go with this one.
The Bosch Stainless Steel Family Size Microwave HMT84M451B has very quickly proved to be a first class choice and an excellent purchase! Quite apart from living up to its reputation and everything said about it in the attendant publicity and the handbook, the
Bosch Stainless Steel Family Size Microwave HMT84M451B gets a tick in all our boxes!
Initially I had problem as this product did not arrive on time so the review request came before I had even seen it. Not wise!
However I can not fault the attention and help given by Richard at AudioVision who chased up the order and saw it safely to my door (well not literally), keeping me up to date at every turn.
It is exactly what we needed to replace another Bosch Microwave which fitted into a unit, so it had to be the correct size.
It is straight forward, unfussy, user-friendly and neat to look at.
Strangely, though the outer measurements are the same as our old one, it is smaller inside? Also our one was 1000w but this was the largest one we could find, 900w, hence the 4 stars.
Thank you AudioVision and Amazon.
This replaced our long-lasting AEG microwave because AEG no longer do free-standing ones. We like this one even better! Ours is white, which fits our kitchen. Simple controls (no wasteful pre-programmed multi-settings), with a bright easy-to-see red LED display. You can set any time required, even seconds up to 1 minute, which some microwaves don’t do. It is plenty spacious enough for our microwave bowls, and the extra power at 900w is good to have, though we don’t notice a lot of difference from our previous 850w one. The single setting memory feature is useful – ours is set to 2 minutes which takes care of the evening cocoa (as per the YouTube demo!), and many other timings needed. As another reviewer mentioned, the door opener is quite strong but ‘there are a couple of grooves underneath the machine, in line with the door push, that you can hold while pushing, to keep it steady, if need be’ – we do find this very useful. And he also pointed out that you can re-set the ‘done’ chime from factory setting 30 beeps to 3, which we did immediately – thanks Andy! (Not sure why the default isn’t 3 to start with.) We don’t notice any undue noise with it, just the usual microwave ‘purr’ in the background. Manual is useful, especially in checking the defrost settings. Happy to strongly recommend this product – not as expensive as some either, with all the features you need for simple cooking.
Item was delivered promptly and fits the bill for what we wanted. We were replacing a 20 year old Panasonic Dimension 4 combination gril microwave, which though it had served us well, was looking a bit tatty, was very heavy, was taking up too much room and was a little under powered compared to modern microwaves. Our old one have a top power level of 600 watts this one can go up to 900, if required.
What we liked about this one, compared to others, was the 25 litre size. Lot’s of the others were a little to small inside for what we needed. This one was ideal, it takes a fair sized plate with no problem, without the outside dimensions being much bigger(if at all) than other models that have less inside room.
It is well made and solid enough, without being too heavy and is very easy to operate, no complicated menu systems to work out.
We have it on a worktop, where pushing the door open button, does not make it slip backwards like some other models do. If you do have a problem with that , there are a couple of grooves underneath the machine, in line with the door push, that you can hold while pushing, to keep it steady, if need be.
The rotary control pushes back inside the machine to present a clean outline. It looks very good in our kitchen and is very easy to operate.
I saw on another review elsewhere, that someone was complaining that the beep the machine makes went on for ages after the food had been cooked. Well they didn’t read the manual?? The machine defaults to a rather long winded 30 beeps when left to it’s factory settings but this can be altered to a three beep setting, by a couple of seconds push on one of the buttons which it then remembers..You might have to reset this if you have a power cut though.
A well made machine, with a white paint interior, very simple to use. All in all exactly what we wanted.
This is not the quietest of microwaves but I wouldn’t consider it over noisy either and the fan carries on after cooking has completed.
There is a video review on You Tube which people might want to have a look at.
I will put the link here, if Amazon allows it.
