Really well weighted and more than enough torque for the jobs I need it fo

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent- Lightweight, yet powerful – this is the second of these I have bought. Does most of the screw driving I need – will drive a 3.5 inch screw easily. It is great for light ‘hammer’ jobs such as rail plugs.

It’s not designed to do heavy duty hammer drilling – so don’t criticise it for that.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese a really great small drill. It’s not the most powerful by any means but it’s lightweight and is great for small jobs around the house and ideal for flat pack. I’ve not tried drilling through brick yet but I think this would struggle although it does have hammer action. I also own Dewalt tools but always end up picking this up as it’s nice and light and has great manoeuvrability. The build quality is also excellent and the batteries charge quickly although I can’t comment on the battery life as I’ve only used one so far but so far seems ok.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wasn’t sure if this is actually what I wanted. I was worried it might be under powered for use as an all rounder, but this has worked out really well for me. This is great for overhead or tight space work and has a nifty light for working in dark cabinet corners. What I have found is that it’s great for driving screws and removing screws from wood, but probably not more than 3inch screws. Anything bigger and you’ll want an impact driver if you’re hanging doors, erecting fencing or building decking I would think. It works perfectly well dor drilling into wood and plasterboard but not for concrete walls. So great for round the house DIY – cabinets, wardrobes, light fixtures – but you’ll need a bigger heavier drill if you are drilling concrete walls eg to hang shelves, install aerials or pipes or something like that. Hence why I think that a Bosch Pro tool for under a 100 is generally good value for money. You don’t want to pay too much because you will probably also need a second drill for heavier work. The only annoying thing I have found is that the chuck can come untightened when I am removing batches of screws… but I couldn’t be sure that this wasn’t just my own ineptitude lol

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo light, small and easy to handle. I can use it in tight spaces. I don’t expect it to do all jobs (I have heavier kit for that). The box is a disappointment, everything except the drill falls about in it and it lost a star because it needs a belt hook.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTwo reasons there already, because it’s not Made in China. It’s had good use in the last three months, and so far it’s been sturdy and reliable. The extra battery is very handy, although a recharge using the supplied charger doesn’t take long. Of course, it has limited torque but it handles my household tasks well which include drilling into masonry. It comes in a solid carry case with room for all those screw and drill bits. All I need now is a holster!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI can only compare to my 20yr old standard (Green) Bosh cordless. Battery life is much better probably 3x if not more.

If I could have got the parts for my old one I would probably still use it given the light DIY duties I assign it to.

I guess it’s handy to have the proper designated functions of Drill, Screw and hammer but in all reality I used my old Bosh drill setting for these purposes anyhow.

I think as long as you are aware of the limitations of the product e.g. I wouldn’t use beyond 8mm bits for masonry and you need to take your time.

Other than that it’s a good quality “light-weight” tool for light-weight work.

When the work gets tough I bring out my 30yr old wired Bosch hammer drill.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI didn’t even read the manual as the product was so explanatory in itself. The chuck is easy to use and I like that it clicks when it’s tight enough to not over tighten. It has a spare rechargeable battery so you can replace it as soon as you run out and put the old one on charge. I like that with a simple push to left/right on handle slot changes the direction of rotation, super convenient. And if you push the slot to the middle it automatically applies the safety lock, which is really reassuring to use when you’re changing drill bits. Really well designed and handy for all sorts of DIY jobs around the house. Both drill bits and screwdrivers worked well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeen building a 20foot x 9 foot shed, the Bosch GSB 120, did all it was asked to do.

I read a few comments regarding problems fixing 4″ screws, I used lots of 4″ screws, those that met a little resistance I took out and dipped in washing up liquid then drove them home with no trouble.

I`m told scraping screws with soap works as well, I wonder if WD 40 does the trick, but I suppose any lubricant is effective!

I don`t know how I`ve managed without this little marvel for so long.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery versatile drill, if your just using for short, small jobs the battery supplied will be okay.
If more prolonged use then I would advise buying the 3A battery.
It’s more powerful than it looks and will drill masonry with ease.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this 12V Bosch drill-driver to replace my older 10.8V version (which I’d absent-mindedly left out in the rain and couldn’t repair). Unfortunately the 12V-charger unit ‘died’ after charging the two batteries. Fortunately the charger from the older 10.8V kit charges the 12V batteries (but probably not fully) — and the two 10.8V batteries also work in the new 12V drill-driver. So now I have 4 functioning batteries using an older charger. Good enough for me. I haven’t bothered to try an replace the new-non-functioning charger because I live in Portugal, the kit came from the U.K, and Brexit is nearly upon us.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had been researching a new drill/driver for a good while and decided I didn’t want anything too bulky whilst maintaining good features. Well this Bosch ticked every box for me. It has a slim inline battery, rather than the chunky block battery that you have on many models and it comes with two batteries.

It is nicely balanced, and the features include hammer action and an LED to light the working area. The chuck clicks nicely to lock onto the shaft of the drill or accessory.

It comes in a slim carry case complete with charger and spare battery. There is plenty of room in the case to carry drill bit and other accessories.

Overall, I highly recommend this drill/drive

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to replace my 6 year old 10.8v Makita. Is it better than a Makita, probably not, however Bosch blue and Makita brands are pretty much on par with each other. Where this wins out is the supply of two batteries, although the charger is their lowest spec so you can expect an hour charge time. There is also more accessories to add on to the Bosch so it’s expandability is greater than the Makita. It’s made in Malaysia so slightly closer than Makita’s China, although not as close as Europe would have been, but you can take that up with Bosch. Durability? Only time will tell.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDelivered on time. Two batteries, a charger and the drill, in a case that can has enough room to house some small drill bits and a couple of small box type sections for, perhaps, screw bits and washers etc. I’ve brought it to wear on the hip along with a holster. It’s lighter and slimmer than my Dewalt 18W because the battery fits as part of the handle rather than a stick out square base. One of the other main reasons for purchasing it was because it can be used as a screwdriver. With the torque on 1, and on the screwdriver setting, the screw threads nicely. I can then tighten it up to the appropriate torque setting the last turn or so with another tool. The drill is good enough for most jobs I do. It looks professional and is solid and the handle has a reassuring rubber grip. All in all, I’m very please with the purchase, and the price was amazing compared to other well known brands.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent drill.

Main use as a driver, one battery lasts me about a week of intermittent use. Both batteries were enough to drill all pilot holes and most of the screws when insulating my garage. Had to bring out the impact driver for the longer/bigger screws but this held up very respectably.

As a driver it’s great, drilling small holes even better. Keep it on hand for almost everything these days as it’s so lightweight! Its hammer function is a joke, but even larger combi drills hammer function is terrible compared to an SDS drill. Stick to its drill/driver mode and its great. The torque settings allow for really fast assembly on plastic parts with metal screws without splitting the plastics.

Overall a fantastic little drill, battery life is great too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI already own a Bosch 18v Li 2 cordless drill kit. I only use it for light DIY, and it will even drill into brick without too much effort. But, it was a bit too big and heavy for some tasks such as cabinet assembly etc.

Bought this Bosch 12v drill kit on Prime Day. It’s ideal for my light DIY needs. It’s not really powerful enough to drill into brick where an 18v or mains powered hammer drill is better suited. It is just about fine when drilling into softer mortar. It’s smaller size and weight makes it easier to drive smaller screws unlike my bulky 18v Bosch.

Hammer drill seems fine for light duty jobs

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPerfect it’s just what I wanted, working on maintenance at the moment didn’t need a big 18v this drill is the job light and small enough to do them little jobs you need only something handy to tighten up a couple of screws. A1

    12v Bosch.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is decent value, although the batteries are only 1.5Ah and you don’t get the stackable L-Boxx or the professional fast charger. However for the keen DIYer that should be OK. In fact as the batteries retail for 25 each, getting two plus charger mean the drill is ‘free’.

If you buy-into the Bosch 12V system there’s batteries up to 4Ah plus an impact driver which does a better job of putting in screws than this unit which is focussed on drilling.

The light weight and small size make this suitable for smaller jobs, the 12V ultimately limits drill speed and torque. However, I’ve been using this around the house and never found it lacking until I wanted to mount shelves on a concrete block wall. Needed an SDS drill for that!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersDo you sweat when using a hand screwdriver – I know I do, but no longer with this one!

Comes with 2 batteries, but almost got through the building of a bird table without the need to change the battery. Used it for both drilling and screwing, and really felt the torque when put onto it’s highest settings, in fact I wasn’t ready for it and it nearly ripped my hand off there was so much turning force!

Works perfectly well on the lower settings but it’s nice to know the extra power is there for those tougher situations.

I do keep buying Bosch stuff and have never been disappointed to date.

Small, compact and comes with 2 batteries – what more is there that needs to be said – get one, I did and was not disappointed – other than nearly losing a hand (but that was my fault, not the drill’s!).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought the DIY version of this and was very happy, but the battery started to fail. That one did not have a replaceable battery so I purchased this. You do need to make sure the spare battery is fully charged because the battery life isn’t magnificent. If you were on a job where you needed this all day you’d use both batteries. Slightly heavier than the DIY version. Otherwise, all good.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAfter much research I decided to go ahead with this drill. So far pleased with the choice. I didn’t want something too heavy. My only reservation was with the 12v power as opposed to many which are 18v. But so far it’s been fine on masonry, wood. Haven’t tried on metal or wood. Come with two batteries. Fast charge. Registration with Bosch website gives you 3yr warranty which is a great for peace of mind. I would recommend this for all round DIY jobs.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs this is the first time buying bosch (blue) tools I wasn’t sure what to expect from such a small tool but just like the cabled version it seems to have plenty of power to handle most jobs on or off site.
I used to buy another well named brand but will buy bosch from now on..
I liked this so much I bought a cordless jig saw to go with this . But for what you pay, you are getting a powerful drill driver with two batteries and a charger, whats not to like about that..
Will deffinately be buying/replacing all my old tools with bosch from here on in..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat build quality (makes dewalt look rubbish) but the 1.5 ah battery struggles to put a 80mm screw in top speed (no problem in 1st) however bang in the 3ah battery this is an animal and it can be worn in a holster on your tool belt. That’s a game changer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe 12v options from Bosch are lightweight and powerful, and are well priced for the options you get this one.

I needed a smaller, portable drill for occasional day to day use that wasn’t an 18V monster – this unit is perfect for that, but I have found for continuous, all day everyday use its not quite up to the task.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAmazing! Can’t fault it one bit,
For its size its way more versatile than anything else I have, for the quick easy jobs,
I wouldn’t use it for drilling into brick walls all the time, but it will do it no problem

It’s a little bit heavier than other ones of the same size, but other than that it’s grea

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users**March 2023 update**
Still going strong, has done many varied jobs, including 42 holes into brick for a large bookcase. Rarely has it been found lacking, albeit I would put some of it down to buying decent drill bits and driver heads.

    **************

Got this as a lightning deal, so have to consider it a bargain. Battery life is good, and you get 2 anyway. Larger capacity ones can be bought separately if you wanted.
Is more than adequate for the jobs around the house it has been tasked with so far… Hammer drill worked fine on brick wall, and at max torque it sheared the heads of some hefty screws carrying out fence repairs in the storm, so seems to have ample power.
Feels balanced in the hand, and comfortable for repeated tasks.
Happy with my purchase so far, we’ll see how long it fares.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this when it was 50 and it is well worth it. I love that it is lightweight and easy to use. I was worried about the small batteries but there are two so when one runs out you can pop the other one on charge and I rarely use up one battery in one sitting.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersAs a woman living on her own, I was looking for a drill/screwdriver that would suit general household diy but wasn’t too heavy and not too expensive. Bosch have a good reputation as a brand and this drill didn’t let them down. If like me, you’re a bit of a newby with drills etc, don’t expect fabulous instructions and there’s no drill bits which come with it. You’ll need to buy a set separately. I struggled at first with getting the chuck to grip but got it right eventually.

The smaller battery is lightweight and appears to be long lasting between charges making this drill ideal for the smaller hand. I’m not sure how it would stand up to more robust use but for me, it does what it says it does and it’s ideal. The light is really useful too if using in areas where lighting is poor.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPerfect to keep handy for those small jobs around the house, while also being capable of a lot more.

Obviously no match for a full size 18v drill/driver when you have a lot to do, but this is more than capable for those small to medium tasks around the home and saves bringing out the big guns when they aren’t needed and would be overkill.

Bosch Professional as well, so you know it’s an excellent piece of kit!

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI normally use Makita 18v power tools but wanted a more compact drill/driver that is lighter and better in tight spaces. The Bosch GSB 120 was on a prime day deal and ticked all of the boxes. As the Makita equivalent would also use different batteries than the 18v i already have i thought that i would try Bosch as i am a fan of Bosch’s household appliances.
The product is very solidly made and comes with 2 x 12volt Li ion batteries and a simple charger secured in a plastic carry case.
The drill does have a light which i was unsure of by reading the description.
I use the drill for light drilling into soft wood and plaster and it is great. Used as a screw driver it is very good, and has surprising torque for most uses bearing in mind it’s voltage and size. For larger projects such as long screws into hard wood , drilling long holes into brick etc maybe revert to a larger more appropriate tool.
One small point Bosch….how about including a reversible screw driver bit ?
I have always received one with every other drill/ driver i have every purchased over the years.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersYou never go wrong with Bosch products. This is another winner for those looking for a drill to take care of light work.
It’s small but feels strong and durable. A perfect fit in the hand. It comes with two batteries which charge from empty to full very quickly. The lithium-ion type batteries keep their charge for a long time, so you don’t need to worry about power when left unused.
Although it’s only 12V, the torque is great. I have not used it for anything but wood, probably brick drilling will require something more significant. But for light house work, this is the perfect drill

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersThis is a nice bit of kit (got this on deal of the day) this is a great drill fits in your hand a treat, great for those confined spaces this is when you need a stubby grip handle, all the same features as a 18v drill but more compact, forward, reverse, hammer action, drill driving, and screw/driving, plus 2 speeds, have used it a few times now and I must say very impressed ( Bosch have always been good quality tools ) must of used 200 screws by now and the battery’s x 2 keep on going, (if your looking for a compact 12v drill give this one a try). Please note there are 2 battery’s in the case 1 is missing in my picture that’s because I’m using the second one in my impact driver.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersI had the 10.8V version of this for years but foolishly didn’t purchase a spare battery for it. Now they are almost impossible to find. I gave that drill so much hard use and it always just kept on going……..it still does, but the battery isn’t holding the charge for long enough now. So I thought I would get the 12V version.
The design is very similar to the 10.8V version but there are a few subtle improvements.
    – The weight is slightly further back which has improved the balance and makes it feel even more compact than before.
    – The forward/reverse switch is located in a slightly different way, making it more user friendly and comfortable.
    – The trigger seems to be even more precise that the previous model.
    – The chuck seems to have been improved slightly, I find it grips the bits far better and doesn’t work loose as much when in use.
    – Overall, the previous model was the best drill I had ever owned. This one is definitely improved!

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersUse this all the time! The integrated battery makes it so much easier to handle than traditional cordless drills and drivers. I found the speed lacking, it’s not very good for drilling into dense material such as hardwoods or brick but handles softwoods and plaster fine. I’ve mainly used it to erect decking and fencing in the garden. The hammer function seems a little redundant as it’s not powerful enough to get through any material you’d usually need a hammer function for. Overall very happy with the design, i think it’s one of the cleanest on the market. Having the spare battery is essential as the batteries don’t hold more than an hour or two of moderate usage, but they charge quick and it’s easy to just swap them between the charging cradle and the drill whenever it runs out.

Overall very happy! Would purchase again!
