I purchased this saw which was a huge downsize for me from a Maggi radial arm saw.
After searching for another smaller radial arm saw, and everything I found been worn out or abused, I decided to take a punt on this.
My main concern was it would feel flimsy compared to the cast iron machine I was used to.
Not at all, it’s extremely well built and even the plastic handle feel so robust.
For a single phase machine it has so much power, the accuracy is spot on and most importantly it feels safe to use.
If you Spend the money and get this, you won’t be disappointed
As a retired carpenter I treated myself to this saw. I still do projects indoors. I only wish I’d had it in my professional days.
Absolutely brilliant piece of kit loads of power cuts like a hot knife through butter.
The only thing is it’s quite a heavy saw to maneuver about as a site tool would better suit a workshop environment.
I pondered over purchasing this saw for quite a while
Got a good deal on Amazon deal day
The saw is just brilliant. Glides though wood the arm is very smooth accuracy has been questioned by some buyer but I find this accurate enough for my needs .
It is very heavy so purchased the Bosch stand with wheels that you collapse.
Very happy with this also a great combination.
I got this saw came no problem an the saw is amazing cut really well no setup out of the box I can’t fault the saw the only thing I have a problem with is, spend all that money for this saw an I have to pay a extra 35 for a dust bag as it’s not included with it, madness that you pay 830 an they can’t even give you a dust bag
Absolute bargain when I bought this at 575 in one of their daily deals.

This is a monster with a 305mm blade. It is heavy to carry (32kg) but is VERY well built with a large capacity. Should last a long time!
Arrived very well packed. Took about 30 minutes to unpack, assemble and figure out the mitre controls. Note – it took two of us to lift it clear of the packing box – it is heavy!
Works very well. Love the “glide” mechanism so no need for 30cm wasted space behind the saw. In fact, this saw can sit right against the wall. Ideal for small workshops – or if you are out on site, can easily sit in a corridor without blocking the passage way and upsetting your work mates.
I won’t repeat all the Bosch specifications – it is very well specified with lots of extra features – particularly like the double laser line – it highlights each side of the cut. This is a great idea! Also, all the tilting and rotating controls are at the front – don’t need to go behind the saw to slacken any locks to tilt the saw angle. Makes using the saw much easier.
And!!!! if you register the saw using the Bosch app, the warranty is extended to 3 years.
I’m very pleased with this Bosch GCM12 GDL double mitre saw.

I have been waiting for almost 2 years to get the Bosch Professional GCM 12 GDL or the Festool Kapex KS120. I wasn’t expecting to buy it through Smile Amazon UK, as it’s heavy, needs a 2 man delivery (that was a pain in the backside, thanks to Amazon support they sorted that out), and the price is spot on very competitively priced. It comes well packed, luckily, because the delivery men put it on its side and seemed to have missed the THIS WAY UP labels around the box. Anyway, straight from the box initial safety checks (making sure everything was tight and the saw blade checked) about 5 minutes, well maybe 10 minutes of drooling, and checking the 45C etc..! plug it in and quick trigger test, soft start, blade spins, stops quickly (braking system), perfect! I didn’t at first check to see the blade squareness or adjust zero clearance (left if wide open Factory default), eyeballing it looked okay. Set up a 4″ x 4″ post (100 x100mm), the clamp that comes with saw doesn’t clamp as well (bar grip is an issue), but there is a technic I have found is to push down hard on it and then screw the work piece tight, while pushing down, not a great start, BUT it does cut beautifully and clean (as you’d expect being new), it was a whisper out of alignment, set up a 19mm x 250mm board and could see the blade cut towing out slightly and leaning in a bit by less then couple of millimetres at it’s full extension, so adjustments were needed with a good square, alignment can be a little tricky to do so YouTube videos are your friends, as the manual, well it’s like any other manual “a lack of good illustrations and instructions”. The big downside to this mitre saw is the extraction when it’s just fixed to a bench, and shop vac extraction it does get a bit dusty, mask, eye and ear protection is a must, maybe as well as dust covers for anything you don’t want to get covered on saw dust!! It’ll need to be boxed in to it’s permanent position then that’ll should sort out the extraction problem; but there is plenty of custom options people have made using 3D priniting. The accuracy of this saw when you take your time to get it zoned in, it is funomenal, even the laser guide well seen and is spot on, as well as the sliding mechanism is a dream and didn’t need any adjustment (effortless finger touch), this is one very well built mitre saw. Can’t wait to get it mate, the Bosch Professional GTS 10 XC.

A very sturdy ,accurate machine wouldn’t recommend it has a site saw due to the weight but neither do Bosch. Great workshop saw though. My only one criticism is that it’s not a soft start but not a game changer. Plus this was on sale at 160 less than others were selling.

I have been building bespoke garden buildings for years, and have always had the traditional chop saw and a separate stand that you have to lug around almost killing yourself.
So I decided to purchase this saw with the pop up trolley stand, and I have to say I love it. The new setup as made my life, and job so much easier in every.
The saw is amazing and so is the trolley, Bosch have done a really good job with this. So much so I have purchased a couple more tool in their professional range. Being a Millwaukee geek for almost 20 years I was cautious, but there was no need.
My only gripe, and this is with every chop saw i have owned is the laser!! this thing has 2 red ones, but are barely visible in the day light, unless it is dark i just cannot see them. With all the technology out there today you would have thought there would be something better that you can actually see “in all settings”
Other than that AWESOME!! love i

A joy to use. My only criticism is that the bust extraction could be better. Otherwise a fantastic tool. Weighs a ‘ton’ so get the ‘sack truck’ stand for it.

Saw very accurate but dust collection will only get a 2 from me as it is rubbish and dust goes every where every with a festoon dust collector. Problem is at the saw itself as the scoop collector is not big enough. requires redesigning with a larger scoop at the rear of the saw otherwise a brilliant tool.

This is a great saw. Accurate out of the box. The fitted blade is high quality (in that I haven’t needed to change it out unlike most saws). The glide mechanism is really smooth. Dust extraction is pretty bad, like most mitre saws. Check out Dan Pattinson’s youtube on making a better extraction shroud. It’s for an older model, but pretty good – although I used at as a start point to my bespoke version using ikea drawer liner. Makes a massive difference. I also made an mdf zero clearance insert which makes cut quality even better (though it was good out of the box). If you can find the money, it’s worth it.

I have always been fond of Bosch tools and find the professional range to be robust and accurate out of the box. Although I am generally pleased with the saw it needed adjusting as it was almost a degree out of alignment. Fortunately, adjusting the saw is easy and straightforward.
In all other respects I am more than happy with my purchase.

Little heavy for day to day jobs moving around. Great product. Very sturdy

Very very nice saw, as some of the reviews state this is heavy and probably more suited to a workshop setup, beautiful cut but only downside is the clamp is crap

I have been reseaeching 12″ mitre saws for a long time and wanted to get something with big capacity, great accuracy and ease of use. I had been eying up this one ever since I saw it and all the reviews it has on YouTube but it gets high lowed a lot by everyone that retails it. I was tracking it a long time and had checked on camelcamelcamel that the price at its lowest ever was 639 or so and a month ago it went down to 646 from 760 so even though I was still looking at other models like the other Bosch which has rails and a larger cross cut I snapped it up. I’m glad I did and I’m really happy with my purchase.
I work out of a workshop mainly and the space saved from the arms instead of rails is insane! It makes such an improvement and when it’s all folded away for transport it is incredibly compact and nothing sticks out like the saws with rails do.
This is really a workshop saw, I would not like to take this to site every day. I took it to work on a third floor flat recently and it really takes it out of you to carry around and transport.
Accuracy is perfect out of the box. I did some test cuts when I got it set up and I didn’t need to adjust anything. The lasers are also great, since there are two of them it’s easy to see where your cut line should be from either side depending on where your waste should be. I prefer the lasers over other saws which are adopting the shadow line as you don’t have to move the saw head to see where the line is. With lasers they are always shining down so you can line up your wood and clamp down if necessary. With the shadow line you need to bring the blade down to make the line appear which isn’t great if you are trying to line up a big lump of timber.
Overall a rock solid saw with great accuracy and loads of easy to use features. There are so many videos on YouTube so you can easily see all the details.

Excellent saw and cuts square out of the box. Only adjustment made to right bevel marker.

I have had Bosch tools in the past and not found them to be very good. They were not as powerful as my Black and Decker or as long lasting.
But i have been pleasantly surprised with this saw, it cost a lot more than i wanted to pay but it was very very accurate straight out of the box.
I have been using it now for a few weeks on most days for square and angled cuts and have been very pleased with it. There are a few cheep plastic bits on the machine but we will see if they last, time will tell.

Had to spend a little extra for the crown moulding stops but worth every penny!! Makes cutting wood almost effortless
