Always bought DIY versions, replacing my tools after years of use.
Pro jigsaw my god what a superb piece of kit, I can really feel the difference in quality
it is Bosch – defiantly it is very good. well built, with variable speed. pleasure to use, very well balanced.
I have been searching for a good quality jigsaw for some time my last Bosch jigsaw suffered from the attack of the rats when it was stored in my workshop one chewed right through the outer casing rendering it completely useless. This new one is a whole new ball game very well made nice weight to it dose not jump about when your cutting thiner materials and the blade dose not waver when cutting thicker materials all in all a top of the tree product.
Great , smooth and quiet to use, takes a very little time to get used to holding a different way but once you do it is grea
Replaced 20 year old Bosch jug saw or similar range
The new version is well built
Only draw back is the blade blower is quite ineffectual compared to my old Bosch which always cleared the arisings, small in the greater scheme of things but nonetheless an irritatio
Now had 3 same model just does what it says on the box
amazing, a real solid jigsaw which will do any job its faced with
The first thing I notice about the Bosch, is the sturdiness and build quality, which is excellent.
The blade change is super quick and easy. The tool only comes with one blade (T144DP), but this gave a great cut the first time I used it, in sawn timber and then 40 thick kitchen worktop, there was very little damage to the top surface, was super quick to cut and something that the black and decker failed on, an almost perfect 90 square cut, which was something of a bugbear of mine with the B & D one.
So far and I’ve only had it one day, it’s amazing. Time will tell and will amend this review should anything come to light, but at the moment would definitely recommend.
GOOD BIT OF KIT PITY NO GUIDE WITH IT BUT ITS CHEAP TO BUY. THIS IS MY SECOND ONE THE OTHER ONE FELL A GREAT HEIGHT
Settings a dust setting & 3 blad settings
ps. I havn’t tried the 240v version but i’m sure it is the same produc
When my old c1988 green bosch died recently, I decided to take the plunge and go for this expensive pro model. I have to say I cannot believe the difference in quality, this slices through wood like butter. Whereas before I used to have to put pressure on (leading to a sore hand during long tasks) and it took a fair portion of time to slice through anything an inch thick, this simply glides straight through without any pressure needed.
And for tougher tasks, you can also apply a “pendulum action” (4 settings) to help even more. Add to that, the ease of changing blades (a simply push of a switch put the blade in then release it–I used to have to screw them into my old one with an allen key!); the variable speed setting (for fine to coarse cuts) and the massive 150mm cutting depth and you have something that will make heavy-cutting DIY tasks a real pleasure.
5 out of 5 without hesitation. Also comes with a high quality case, vacuum attachment, plastic guard plate (for working on delicate materials) and a plastic splinter guard (though I find this obscures the view somewhat, so I don’t use it–I have a full face shield anyway). If you can justify the cost then get one, you won’t regret it.

Furthermore, the clear plastic guide piece which fits at the front of the blade, was damaged by the blade when it came off it’s track, rendering it useless. So, I need to purchase spares already after one cut.
