Very large, sturdy ironing board that , although pricey, is actually value for money as the build is very strong and should last for years. Defiantly recommend if you can afford the lay out in monetary terms.
We like the size of the board, it’s sturdy and easy to fold. The only complaint was that we had to wait some time between ordering and delivery.
Great ironing board that does what says on the tin. Sturdy, strong, nice big surface to iron on, can even use it to iron clothes while sitting down. Relatively easy to fold back in place and store it somewhere. Not super heavy. The heat resistant part works nicely and gives more room to iron on.

Ironing boards are really the weak link in an ironing workflow. It’s hard for non-ironers to understand spending 80 on an ironing board. But I have had the cheap ones, and the constant rattling and shaking is really off putting. This ironing board is massive. I am a tall guy, with long shirts so definitely need the space. Also like the ability to just keep the iron flat on the end instead of having it precariously standing up. It doesn’t matter how well made the board is, on an uneven floor, which seems to be the case in the rental places I get, there is some wobble always there. And I really worry for my iron. On a carpeted floor the board is a lot more stable. The folding mechanism is also straightforward. They have a protector so it doesn’t fold when you don’t want it to, but I don’t really bother with it.
Bought this to replace exactly the same model (which only needed a replacement cover) because the price was not vastly different from that of a replacement cover. These have to be the sturdiest and steadiest ironing boards out there.
Unfortunately after a limited amount of use the foam underlay has become distorted and is no longer flat. I’m now going to have to buy a replacement cover and foam. A bit strange because the foam on the previous board had lasted for years.

This is indeed a great ironing board but I fell for the hype of the wider board. I now wish I had my original one back in its narrower standard size. Maybe I will get used to the wide board but I’m not sure. It was a lot of money for a a good board if you are not sure about the width go and look at one first.
This ironing board is taller than I am but it’s very sturdy and there’s a good large surface on which to iron. You have to be quite tough in opening and closing it so I wouldn’t say it is “easy to fold” but it certainly holds up and you don’t feel like it’s in any danger of collapsing. Works well with a cordless iron as you’re not wasting space on the iron rest.
It’s very well made , and has a great ironing surface, more expensive than the last one I had, but the difference between a Rolls Royce and a Mini bit heavy to lift, but the difference is the winning point.
Bought to replace 30 year old board that broke. I wondered if it was worth spending this much but I’m really glad I did – I’m very happy with it. When it first arrived I was surprised by how big it is. I love how high it can be set to so I don’t have to stoop and get backache. I also like how big the surface is.

I like it! It’s a big board that is easy to use and makes light work of ironing but the lack of a iron rest takes a bit of getting used to compared with more traditional designs.
I bought this ironing board for the large ironing area, great for bigger items such as sheets, the variable height settings and ease of use. It’s very sturdy and stable, not the lightest but not too heavy either and very easy to manoeuvre in and out of an under stairs storage cupboard. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

This board is excellent. Other reviewers mention that it creates condensation on it and that makes a puddle on the floor. I have had none of that and find it very sturdy and a pleasure to use. One great point about it is that the items being ironed don’t slide around and the cover seems to “grip” them while still being able to move them to iron the next part or to put the next item on. The board is large enough for me to stand my cordless iron stand on the heat resistant end and there is still enough room to do the ironing. The only slight downside is that the board is a little bit tricky to fold down to put away, but once you get the hang of it it is not too difficult. Overall a very nice board and highly recommended.
Thus board is a solid top quality product. Decent size ,and iron glides over the cover easily .
I love this ironing board. As soon as it arrived I had a load waiting. The height can be set really low as well as high. So many adjustable levels. The large surface area makes ironing a breeze. I only down side is the steam from the iron does form droplets on the underside, however no water has pooled on the floor. I was looking for a sturdy board and here it is. Very pleased.
Very sturdy , you can set it at any height (even sitting) , child lock so it won’t collapse on your little angels , good size spongy board , easy to fold , it was twice the cost but you get what you pay for in this case , never thought i’d be so impressed by an ironing board i’d leave a review! Absolutely superb ironing board. Very strong and sturdy. Can be made to your desired height. It has a safety ball on that you put over the leaver underneath to prevent it from accidentally collapsing. Luxurious feel.
This is a sturdy ironing board with a large ironing surface and a strong cover. The only negative is it is very heavy to manhandle.

Yes it did cost a fair bit of change but it’s a quality item.
I must be getting old but I had to look at the instructions to open it as I could not do it for the life of me.
It has a locking leg to stop it accidentally opening. Bit of a faff trying to fold it down quickly as i feel the lever is well recessed.
Those quirks aside It seems vert sturdy and as I am 6’2 the extra height will help my OAP back.
One thing to note: This is a HUGE board!
I purchased this board as I find normal ones too low as I am quite tall. I was not disappointed. It is extremely sturdy and very good quality. The height adjustment is easy to use and I like the added safety feature that stops it collapsing if knocked. The board is lovely and wide which is very useful when pressing seams on my sewing projects. The heat resistant area is a good idea as it means that I don’t have to worry about leaving a hot iron on it and there is nothing to snag the cord. I can highly recommend. Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth it and this board will probably see me out!

As someone who is 6ft tall, I find most ironing boards a little too low when at their maximum height. This will go much higher. Plus, the working area is much greater, meaning you don’t have to pull as many next bits of a bedsheet up before reaching the end. Finally, at just about half the price of the same item on Brabantia’s own website, it’s a no-brainer. The only half issue is having confidence in this new concept of a heat resistant area so you don’t have to stand the iron on its end while moving things around, as well as the slight potential for the smooth underside of the iron to maybe slide across the board if you accidentally knock the board, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Very solid when up. Nice and high as I am 6 ft. I finally bit the bullet and paid the price but am really pleased with it.

The board looks great, but arrived with a tear in the cover courtesy of a careless courier. I arranged a return, but frustratingly could not print the return label which just appeared blank. With a heavy heart, I decided to contact Amazon Customer Services, not expecting to get any kind of resolution without hours on the phone/laptop. How wrong I was! Four minutes on the Customer Service chat, refund arranged, no return required, will donate the damaged board to a local charity. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AMAZON!!

Most money I have ever spent on an ironing board, ever, but we have had this for months now and it is ideal, height adjustment a doddle, great size / width, folds easily and very little moisture collecting underneath even with a steam generator iron, I’ll stop now because praising an ironing board is making me feel old!
Edit: got a replacement board, no issues as below. Works like a charm. Other than packaging being a bit of lottery and price on high side I like the fact that it can stand tall and is very large and reasonably stable.
If you need stable and decent board – buy in store or at IKEA, seems like a good option if you don’t have time to spend chancing getting an uneven or damaged board due to packaging.
I got the board just in. It looks alright for an ironing board, nothing special and certainly nothing that would justify the money spent. Having said that I am after quality and once in a blue moon – I don’t mind spending a bit for comfort.
The board came packaged in see through pastic wrap – no support of any kind. No closed cell foam, no cardboard, nothing.
I opened it, put it on level ground and… it rocked. Not the right rocked, it literally rocked side to side. Two feet stable, two around 1cm in the air on opposite sides.
Now I know some of you would advise me to adjust something, maybe a bit of bend the other way but that would be a terrible idea. Design is simple, welds ok but nothing special. As for folding mechanism – basic and cheap feel factor 10 at best. Nothing that would give me confidence of trying to repair it myself.
I can say this for sure – the board is OK for what it is, it is meh for what it cost and it’s not marketable for the packaging it comes in. The packaging is not fit for transport or the board is not build for it.
Be warned this is HEAVY and BIG.
If you struggle with with heavy weights you may well find this too much to handle: it is also tall when folded so consider your storage options. At its greatest opened working height you would need to be very tall to use it!
Having said that – it is a very sturdy bit of kit, with leg as big a young tree.
It has several good features , including a lock to prevent collapse in use and a device to set your preferred working height.
Only time will tell the longevity of the cover, which I bet is expensive to replace.

Had the earlier model for 20 years and no problems. The latest model is much sturdier with important safety features and a neat device to ensure it always opens at the same height. Very clever. It’s quite heavy compared with the previous one and the feet are much bigger, so it is very stable – only problem is I’ve stubbed my toes on it several times already because of this. I just need to get used to it, and maybe wear shoes – which i never normally do indoors !! It was already assembled – perhaps that depends on who you buy it from? Mine was supplied by Amazon themselves. Very pleased.
I have been through numerous ironing boards and this will be my last. AS IT IS SUPER STRONG . STURDY AND WELL MADE.

I feel if you buy cheap you end up buying twice. So tend to save and spend a little more on stuff. This is just the same, it costs more than the average, but you get a very solid and well made product.
Bought it for my cleaner who does my ironing (she specified it). She likes it. She is right-handed and sometimes sits down. If she were left-handed it wouldn’t work if she needed to sit down. I can see no sign of a left-handed version on the Brabantia web site.
This ironing board is brilliant! Great size, and no more annoying iron rests to tangle the cord; I’m as delighted with this item, it makes ironing bearable, and almost enjoyable!

Good, sturdy board. After shopping around I went for this one and I’m glad I did. The only negative is that like my last one it dies collect steam which turns to water and spills upon folding when I’m done, but that’s hard to avoid if you use a generator iron and I’m quite used to it now.

Ok, issues with my last one was the iron cord kept getting caught between the metal end piece and the board and if I use the springy bar to hold the cord it got in the way and you needed three hands and your knees to put it up and down, it was unsightly, unstable and unfolded many times when against the wall. This board corrected every fault, I love it, my husband loves it and it locks shut and is cool looking, yep this is THE ONE!
To be fair though we returned the poorly assembled unit back to Amazon. The replacement has been working as expected.
When it comes to Brabantia, what’s not to like? Lovely as far as ironing boards can be – sturdy, height adjustable at small increments and has an excellent heat resistant parking zone. Recommended
Loved the size of this board. Great for doing those larger items. It is very sturdy and wasn’t hard to put up. It was great not having the iron rest at the end of the board which allows more room.

I love this board, best o e I ever had and it is heating resistant on the cover(not on the inside sponge). Very steady and easy to fold.
Very good ironing board, large working area. The heat resistance is not something I have tested as I use a steam generator iron and do not leave it face down when not in use. I don’t regularly fold this up but it feels robust when I do. I like this product a lot and would highly recommend it.
I absolutely love this, it is sturdy has rubber grips on feet so not to slide. The width and length are so good that you can iron clothes at a faster rate because of the wider ironing area. As soon as I got it I ironed my basket load of clothes in no time. Thank God for this ironing board, I actually like ironing now.
We run a holiday let – and that means ironing sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers for 7 beds. I had a cheap Minky board that wobbled like crazy. When this came on offer for Prime Day at 50 that was all the excuse I needed to upgrade. The very large surface is ideal for bed linens, and the board stays steady at all times. Height is adjustable and the cover is retro cool. Really sturdy frame. I’d like another for home – waiting for a Black Friday price.

his is a very sturdy ironing board, well wade and good quality. the only problem is it arrived un wrapped. just the thin plastic cover normally on it in the store, which was torn and just hanging on. would recommend seller to pack it better.

Having had a pathetically small ironing board for umpteen years, we didn’t even know you got different sizes. Now we have this, it’s like finally moving into the 21st century. This is noticeably bigger and sturdier than our last one, and so much better for that. It’s definitely quite pricey, but given that our last (cheap rubbish) one lasted about 20 years, this should be a very decent long-term buy. Well worth the upgrade.

Love this ironing board. It’s the sturdiest one I’ve ever used. Really solid, no wobbles. Has a child safeguard to prevent against collapsing and you can adjust to lots of different heights. I’m 5″7 and have it above waist height but it can go higher or lower than that. Easy to fold and nice to iron on. It’s a very big board so lots of surface area making it easier to iron clothes. It’s pretty heavy so may be difficult for some to put away or get out. But I like this as it makes the board super sturdy.

It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for (probably almost). The thing is pretty big and heavy, which makes it as sturdy as they come.

This is quite a big board and I’ve found it to be great to use, luxurious even. Very sturdy, great quality and even nice to look at! I’ve noticed people using this board on YouTube instructional ironing videos aimed at us non enthusiastic ironing folk.
Man what a life changer. Not many people enjoy ironing, and I certainly didn’t love the task before, but now with this board the time ironing seems to fly! It’s tall enough that I don’t have to bend over and hurt my back anymore ironing and the quality of the parts is really great. 10/10
A really nice big ironing board, I like the fact that it’s s continuous ironing surface and I also like the heat resistant end panel, I used to worry that the metal iron rests would scratch the base off my iron! When folded it locks in place which is handy, it doesn’t fall open when stored, quite stiff to open but I’m sure that’ll get easier in time! Overall very pleased!
My reason for buying this ironing board is that it doesn’t have a separate plate for the iron. This means that the iron cable doesn’t constantly snag between the plate and the board and shred the cable, always a bug bare. Another positive point is that the board is wider than the average board so the ironing area is greater, thus speeding up the chore. I highly recommend this product.
Our old ironing board suffered from 2 main problems. It wasn’t particularly wide and the foam covers were always curling round at the edges and catching on clothing whilst ironing. These ironing board solves both those problems and in additional is very sturdy and has excellent height adjustment, adjusting to a much higher position than our old ironing board which would prove useful if you are particularly tall. A high quality ironing board. Recommended.
Plenty of ironing surface, and really sturdy. I was a little worried that I wouldn’t like this as i’ve never had one without a rack for the hot iron but that’s not been a problem at all. I can’t say it’s made me enjoy ironing but it’s certainly made it easier.

It’s huge! I ordered size D and did so deliberately as it seemed the biggest ironing space. I have a large cupboard for storing it so it’s not a problem but you might want to check measurements. The upside is that ironing sheets is much easier and less moving the material = less wrinkles.
It’s quiet to erect. My last board creeked loud enough to wake the dead.

This is by far the best ironing board I have ever owned. It is sturdy, which makes it heavy, hence the four stars for easy to fold. I have a cordless iron and my previous ironing board did not have a heat resistant pad on which to rest the iron charge unit. I had a few mishaps with my iron nearly falling on my feet! This board is also longer and wider than most, making ironing quilt covers and sheets much easier. I have never enjoyed ironing as much as I do now.

These might be a lot more money than you would expect to pay for a ironing board but these are solidly built and if you wait for one of Amazons deals then pick one up as you will not be disappointed.
Great ironing board. It is especially good for taller people because of the range of height options – it has helped a lot with the backache I used to suffer when ironing. The large surface which cuts down on ironing time – always a good idea. It is quite big but lightweight and easy to move around. It has a smooth folding mechanism. It is pricey compared to other boards but worth it.
Anyway, my better 3/4 wanted a new ironing board because her old one of some vintage had a cover that was not ideal, being a replacement for the longstanding one of many years.
Coupled with getting a new Woman Tool – an iron – She Who Must Be Obeyed wanted a new ironing board as well.
Speaking of Woman Tools this is something of a constant source of confusion to us men. We love our tools. Really. Look in a blokes place of sanctury and check out the serried ranks of shiny spanners and neatly arranged socket sets. And yet, when the subject of the equivalent Lady Tools comes up we get nothing but death threats and indications our marital rights might dry up pretty quickly. At Christmas when a bloke gets a brand spankers new Makita cordless drill, chances are he will quickly have some sort of mini fit of joy. However, when the missus unwraps a new food mixer or iron there’s a better than even chance the significant other in her life may well find it hard to sit down given what has been jammed somewhere uncomfortable.
We men just don’t get it.
Anyway, my missus wanted a new board and it had to be a decent one or else. And as she we have the same Amazon account using my credit card, this bad boy duly turned up.
And, as far as surf boards go it’s pretty useless. However, as an ironing board, it’s very good.
Firstly, it’s well made. I know that because my better 3/4 decided that along with the arrival of new equipment for ironing I would be tasked with sorting out the airing cupboard with new brackets and holders in order to give everything a place. And part of that was a hanging bracket for this board which had to be pretty substantial because this is quite a solid thing and certainly no lightweight. Good for the wife’s arms I reckon.
It’s easy to set up with any position in it’s range which covers any size lady I’ve seen. Even in the Far East where I worked…ahem…
It has a large surface so any garment is easily dealt with according to my wife and she did tell me she liked the fact that there was no specific iron rest which takes up valuable real estate. The material top won’t burn so you can put your iron down anywhere.
There is a safety knob which has to be operated in order to collapse this which, is in place to prevent the small people in your life from becoming the small ex-people in your life. It works well and is a thoughtful addition.
It’s stable. Very stable in fact so much easier to get a move on when you need that dress for the evening out on the razz that’s just been washed.
The top is perforated so as to allow steam to pass through it making ironing just that bit easier and rendering this as I said before useles as a surf board.
Overall, a superior quality board that will make any lady happy to get this on her anniversary or birthday. For any bloke our there reading this, I’ve just sorted your next pressy problem out…..
Not used this yet but looks brilliant..4 star for storage as it is Slim but very tall ..but if you have a ‘normal ‘ cupboard door you should be fine to get hooks and hang it there..bought as ‘ used ‘.. plastic covering torn a little with a small scuff on the foot perfect for me as not giving it as a present.

This is a great ironing board. I had to return the first one I was sent, it was wonky, unstable, it rocked from side to side. However Amazon replaced it immediately without quibble. The replacement is excellent, good wide ironing area, lots of height adjustments and really does seem to make the drudge of ironing a lot quicker and easier.
