I think what my wife said about this ironing board, sums it uo perfectly:

Oh, Hubby! Oh Dear! I must say! I must praise you! the board is perfect! Ironing is amazing, like as if I was not ironing at all! I must say, the board you bought is amazing! You’re amazing!

The ironing board is very robust. It is quite heavy to move. It is lovely to iron on as it is so tall it stops my back from aching. Ideal for folk over 6ft tall.
The legs extend over the outline of the board so it can trip you up walking past the heat pad end.

As an ironing board is better than the pictures! Easy to open, very stable and light. BUT… I didn’t open it when I received it. And when I did, after 1 hour, I noticed that the fabric was torned up. Be more careful with the deliveries!!!

Great item but fabric torned up

I am very impressed with this ironing stand. Key things to note are :
    – First of all it is a big size so only order if you have enough space.
    – Folds away so storage is not a problem.
    – Smooth adjustable height settings.
    – Excellent cushioned top cover for a delightful press.
    – Safety lock at the bottom to prevent kids mishandling.
    – Strong built specially the legs..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA solid, larger-than-average board that makes ironing less of a chore. Perfect for men’s shirts and larger items such as tablecloths and bedding. Ideal for very tall people but also suitable for those of us who prefer to sit down and set up camp in front of a film. No clunky iron holder to contend with – there is a heat resistant section where the iron can rest for short periods. I like the smart grey design. Probably not the board for you if you only iron the bare minimum and can’t see the point of ironing bedding and so forth – but perfect for batch ironers with laundry baskets that are perpetually full (like The Magic Porridge Pot!).

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI don’t normally spend so much on an ironing board, but boy am I glad I did. This board is excellent. It is bigger than most on the market, which makes ironing fabrics much easier (I sew a bit and often need to iron sheet-size fabrics). It is quite heavy, but with that, very stable with good solid legs. I really like that there’s a heat pad instead of an iron cradle, so the cable doesn’t get stuck when using the iron. The height adjustment is great and it doesn’t matter if you’re short or tall, it can be a comfortable height. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase and have no regrets spending a little bit more on something that will last.

The good – I love this board. Big large board and I can have it up high to save my bad back! Helps get ironing done quicker.
The not as good – The safety red ball doesn’t really seem to do the job but it feels very sturdy so it doesn’t bother me. It is a bit heavy but that does mean it’s sturdy.

Firstly this is an expensive ironing board, but it is far more robust then the cheaper Brabantia one I bought it to replace. It is on the heavy side and can be awkward to manhandle in and out of its storage place, but it is solid and not at all wobbly in use.

I did look at the dimensions, of course, but it was a bit of a shock when I realized just how large this board is! It is also pretty heavy so would not suit some people aka my ageing mother. But it feels solid, it doesn’t wobble or creak. It’s just…big!! But overall very happy with the purchase

Built to last, manly ironing board. 😉 Bit of a mistake in buying it there, as my wife says it is too heavy and doesn’t use it. I guess I shot myself in the foot. Minus 1 man point.

When I got this I nearly had a heart attack its about 6ft 5 folded up and as wide as me. lol It’s grea though. lots of room and more importantly lots of size adjustments. Im quite tall and ive never had a board that ive been able to get above my waist height for comfort. This one can go even higher than that on me so even an 8ft behamouth of a man could use this. The heat resistant pad isnt jsut a gimmick actually is and works. For my i much prefer it as I have two small kids and leaving an iron standing up regardless of how far away they are jsut doesn sit right with me. So it’s good having a place to lay the iron flat on when not in use. The baords very wide and long great for all garments. And I’ve found the ironing to come out great. better than thought. one thing ill say because of the size of it jsut be carefull if you go with the garment rack one as it takes up massive amounts of length room when unfolded.

Blimey!! It is large. It is sturdy – and therein may be the problem that some reviewers have encountered but thankfully not me.
The frame is so sturdy and rigid that it is also unforgiving. Any minor manufacturing inaccuracy will show up as a wobble on a hard floor – or if manufactured to perfection, on an uneven floor.
Compared to the 30 ironing board this replaces, this is SOLID. Set on a low height I think I could use this one as a two seater bench. It could end up outliving me and end up as a family heirloom.
Extremely happy with mine as I have a completely straight frame…..

I love this ironing board. It is solid, no wobbling about. It was a bit more expensive than I would normally pay, but I’m glad I did. Absolutely no burning or scorching on the cover. It allows the iron to glide over your laundry with ease. This will last me for years.

The first one that I purchased was slightly wonky and I was really disappointed, however amazon arranged a replacement to be sent out two days later and the new one is absolutely perfect. This product has a 10 year guarantee and is perfect for my new steam generator iron. It is really sturdy and nice and wide. Even using my normal iron I am convinced that the clothes are ironing better and its all down to the board. Really happy with my purchase and before I forget, the child friendly bobbin on the inside will make sure that the ironing board does not fall ontop of my little one!

    Thankyou Amazon and thankyou Brabantia!

Golden Review Award: 199 From Our UsersIt’s an ironing board. It enables you to iron clothes. It goes quite high so that’s great for us longshanks. It lets you rest your iron on the heat pad when it’s tired. It’s stable, unless of course you say something nasty to it, or one of the many delivery drivers and warehouse guys involved in getting delivering it to you is is a clumsy clutz (if you’re worried just go buy one from John Lewis 😉 Packaging is minimal but that’s pretty good if you’re eco conscious (which you should be). Just make sure you recycle the plastic cover. What else can I say. Oh, it has a little red puzzle ball hanging from it, I’ve had hours of fun working out what that’s for, treat it as an unexpected bonus. I could have saved 70 and worn my clothes creased like a boho but figured I’m worth it. I have some self esteam (ironing joke).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWell I have had Brabantia ironing board before but it was old and needed replacing so I thought well go with what you know . I am not in the least dissapointed came this morning , unpacked it not to much waste in the packaging either, very sturdy no wobbles and the max height is amazing even to high for me at max . The lever to open and close was a bit stiff but after a couple of try’s it was fine , the cover that came with it is well padded but I like more so I added my own . I can honestly say I am well chuffed with my ironing board , well done Brabantia one very happy customer .

Only ironing board I’ve ever had that was tall enough that my shirt sleeves didn’t touch the floor when ironing the front panels (I’m washing and ironing my shirts, you think I’ve got time to mop the floor too!?). Nice design, heatproof section has held up very well. I’ve had it a year and it’s still solid.

Very sturdy board, expensive for what it is but will stand the test of time.

Pros: easy to set up; very stable on any surface although mine did require some adjustment at first to get the 4 feet level; even distribution of pressure through the structure of the board thanks to a mesh underneath the ironing surface.

Cons: quite heavy and no wheels to enable moving; think about spending a little more to get rack, great use of the space.

I bought this a while ago, however only opened it to use today and I have found out that it is not balanced -there is a two inch difference in the height of the legs. How do I get a replacement? one that is stable, I’m sure this is just a manufacturing error, the rest of the ironing board seems great.
Amazon and Brabanita replaced this within days and now I have a perfectly stable ironing board. It can go to heights higher than most I’ve seen so there is no need to bend down whilst ironing! Fantastic board! thanks for the prompt and easy replacement.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhat can I say ? Just fantastic. Sometimes you don’t realise how awful something is until you replace it with something better. This is the ironing board to replace all inferior ironing boards. Sturdy – easy to up and down – fully adjustable – you can even sit down and iron if you want because the shape of the legs allows this. I can iron far quicker as you can just leave the iron face down on the heat zone whilst you re position garments on the board. It’s quite big but folds fairly flat for storage – also the size is useful for sheets etc. It’s great . I definitely get ironing done faster with it and let’s face it ironing is not a task you want to spend any extra time doing!

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our Usersas a recently separated man… my ironing was never good enough for herself, apparently..

i originally bought a very cheap ironing board. which i never liked, still – had it a while so paid for itself. this item is a different ballpark – but it’s great to not have to bend to iron, and to feel fairly sure (very sure) that the board isn’t going to collapse and throw duvet cover, iron and all on the carpet of the rented hovel.

solid investment. i expect this one will outlive me.

third world problem, seems odd to me that i have to stand on the wrong side of it to erect it (locking handle thingy). but am sure i’ll get used to it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis ironing board is HUGE – much bigger than i envisaged! It is very solid and substantial though, which I was looking for as lighter weight ones feel so wobbly. My old Brabantia, which I’ve had for about 35 years (since my mum told me I had to do my own ironing!) has recently fallen apart and I was looking for the nearest match I could find. It will be great for tall people as maximum height is almost up to my armpits! My one gripe is that I hate the cover. It seems to grip everything which makes for slow progress. I’m used to a metallic, heat reflective cover which let’s clothes glide around on the surface easily, without undue friction. I’m planning to get a cover for this board asap, then hopefully all will be good! If it lasts as long as my old one I’d better leave it to someone in my will! 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNot much you can say about an ironing board… It is rock solid standing on carpet even when at full height. Very easy to put up and take down again. Could be a little heavy for some to manage but then what would a small person want with an ironing board designed to avoid back ache in those of us over 6 foot? All in all a very good purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood quality, large, sturdy and with a cover that doesn’t let clothing slide about while you’re trying to iron. Cover is thick and hardwearing. First one turned up with a big ‘ding’ to the finish on one of the legs. Superb service from Brabantia and a new one was dispatched whilst waiting arranged collection of the other. Only thing I’m always tempted to do now is turn up at a ski-slope somewhere and see how it fares snowboarding.

Finally a man sized ironing board! I’m 6’2″ and this extends vertically to mid-chest height. The cover is tight and doesn’t move no matter what’s pulled over the nose. It collapses neatly with no risk of shortening your fingers. New covers can be bought, but I use mine a few times a week and it still looks brand new. It’s big and wide, which makes ironing easier, just make sure you can store it.

Lovely ironing board. I wish I had bought it years ago! It has a lovely soft large padded ironing surface making it easy to iron a large area at once. It makes short work of shirts & sheets etc and with the good flat heat resistant end to stand my iron on I am thoroughly enjoying using this product. Very good first impression. Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersWas worried about the number of people who received damaged or wobbly ironing boards, but since it was on sale, I decided to take a chance. I consoled myself with the thought that only 10% of the reviews were awful, so I had a reasonable chance of getting a good one. As it happened, I did. This is an excellent ironing board, completely stable, and high enough that I can stand up straight while ironing, for the first time ever (I’m over 6′). I use it with a Philips steam generator iron, and have had no problem with water seepage, dampness or any of the other issues noted in the reviews. It is sturdy enough to handle the steam generator comfortably, although I prefer to put the generator on an adjacent shelf and use the entire board for ironing large sheets. I am a very reluctant ironer, and this combination has made my pet-hate chore a breeze.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst of all, this was badly packed so when the delivery driver dragged it along, the cover was damaged (Hence my purchase of a new cover straight away) The packaging was just delivery plastic bags stuck together. Bit disappointing given the price.

    The good –
    It works well
    Very sturdy
A safety ball to stop it dropping down
    Closes up reassuringly
    Nice and wide

    The bad –
You have a minimum height that you can set this too and this is just above comfort level when sitting down.
The safety ball was attached in the wrong place so had to be moved to actually work.

I have wanted to this ironing board, for so long. I love this brand as I have all the bathroom and kitchen range. I finally bought one for myself and my mum. She totally loved it as well. she was a bit sceptical, as she weren’t to keen on the price. She has had to replace a few ironing boards as they weren’t really strong and reliable. The workmanship of her old ironing boards was pretty crappy and always stared to lean on to the side as well as being far to small. This one is solid, heavy and capering it to her old one so much bigger. This will last long and help to breeze through all the ironing with totally ease. I’m loving it myself and can’t get enough of it and I hate ironing, it also goes with my colour scheme of my home.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe Brabantia Titan Oval ironing board was delivered very quickly after I ordered it, several days ahead of Amazon’s expected delivery date. It was wrapped (‘packed’ would be a misnomer) in a couple of large polythene bags (not even with bubble-wrap). This will have provided very little protection against knocks etc. in transit. Fortunately the board appeared to be undamaged in any way, which is a tribute to the carrier’s careful handling! It is undoubtedly a large board, both in width and height, and dwarfs my old one. When folded and stored vertically it is also pretty tall. If you have limited storage space this could be a problem. It’s not exactly lightweight, but nor is it unduly heavy to move around. I have only used the board briefly so far. I am pleased with the range of height adjustment on it, especially that I can raise it high enough to avoid backache (my main reason for buying it). It is also very stable in use due to its weight and width of its legs. I’ve not tried using it while seated but I would imagine the shape of the legs would make it comparatively easy (for right-handers, but not so much for left-handed ironers!).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have a particularly heavy ironing load for various reasons. This board is higher than any previous board we have had, and more solid, so it has eliminated the backache we used to get after ironing for a while. This ironing board replaces a very similar sized Brabantia board that I have used for many, many years. While I have only used this a couple of times, it appears that it will be as much a friend as my last board. It is a good size and can be set at a good height for tall people, which is great. The only down side of my purchase has been the fact that the whole board had to be stripped down upon arrival because the mechanism that sets the height of the board was out of the runners… we completely rebuilt it, but shouldn’t have had to on an item of this price, I feel. Just seemed ultimately more sensible than sending it back, fuel wise etc. Why is quality control often so appalling these days? Still, a nice item and I sincerely hope it lasts as long as my last Brabantia board. Would recommend.

Very impressed. I don’t usually pay this price for an ironing board but thought I’d give it a go. It has reduced quite considerably the time I spend ironing bedding – a combination of the size of the board and the quality of the base.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a 12 year old board that had rusted through in the middle. I was a bit trepidatious about spending so much however I have 3 kids and iron a LOT so I figured I could justify it.

The first thing to strike me was how light it is. It’s really big but the weight belies this, in fact it’s quite a shock the first time you lift it, purely because you expect it to be so much heavier.

It looks very stylish and the surface of the cover seems to grip the clothing somehow so it doesn’t slide off or move when you’re ironing. It feels really stable in use and doesn’t wobble or anything.

I love ironing anyway but this board makes it even more fun!

I purchased this in a lighting deal, as it is pricey (at least I think so), but thankfully I really do like it.
It’s wonderfully high which is a bonus as at 5’10” some ironing boards do feel short to me (can obviously be set lower, and higher too), it’s very steady, and basically has a huge ironing area – which means less moving the clothes about. I have even taken to ironing the bed sheets – as it’s so much easier than it ever was on my daft little ironing board. Seems so wrong to rave about an ironing board, but… dare I admit I actually enjoy ironing now 😉

I always thought ironing was a real chore but, having bought a fancy new iron I discovered I badly needed a new board. My old board got very wet as it had no holes for the high levels condensed steam.
On first use, this board changed the whole experience. Much larger than I’m used to, you can do half the width of a Kingsize duvet cover. At 6’6″ I used to get back ache too, but this board can be set at any height and is easily high enough for me.
Store it point downwards to allow excess water to drain easily.

Good product, would recommend but I ended up returning it as it is huge. Being a relatively short person (5ft 2in) I really should have paid more attention to the measurements, my own fault. I found it too large to comfortably use.

I bought this as like most people I hate Ironing and to try and make it a little less of a pain I bought myself a steam Iron a few years ago. It was about time I got round to buying a decent Ironing board to go with it and so after a recent flat move I went for this as it seemed to fit the bill.
I’m 6 foot 1 and always get an ache in my back when Ironing for a long time as the boards never seem to adjust high enough – the good news with this is that it adjusts very high so no more bad back for me!
The board is big and built to last which hopefully it will being this price, it isn’t quite a five stars though as a few quibbles:
The cover is headache inducing! It would be nice if it came in a more relaxed colour and pattern as this one really does make your eyes hurt after a while! I never thought they existed but due to the frame design this is a board for right handers only! You can adjust it low enough to iron whilst sitting down (not sure I’d ever want to do that to be honest) but the frame has an offset to accommodate this and your knees which means you can only use it one way round. A safety feature that I’ll translate for you: Child lock to prevent table from collapsing accidentally, this is a red rubber ball on a bath plug you jam under the release button! Its a a good board though and although expensive will hopefully be the last one I buy for a very long time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLook past the price tag – this is simply the best ironing board and worth every penny.

I’m pretty tall, and many years of being hunched over an ironing board that wasn’t high enough gave me some serious back ache which only added to my hatred of ironing. I can’t clam to love ironing now (because who could?) but the back ache is a thing of the past.

The board is very study, light, easy to put up and down, with a great range of height settings – and this one is wide enough to make ironing king size sheets so much easier – yay!

Shockingly big! I can’t fit it in any of my upright cupboards. Not even the coat cupboard. Having said that, it’s a great ironing board and that’s what we’re talking about here, isn’t it? I should have measured the spot I used to store my old ironing board.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this larger ironing board to assist in pressing my large items of precious bed linen. Although a solid tall board, as a frail OAP I have no problem carrying it from its home (stored upright between the kitchen wall and the upright fridge/freezer) into the living room so I can watch tv. The old adage — you get what you pay for, I’m delighted with this purchase.

I like this ironing board. Very sturdy and well made and extends to a good height. The surface area for ironing is large but if I had one complaint it would be the narrow end of the board is too narrow, it would have been better with a more rounded end.
Be aware for storage purposes, this is a much larger board when folded down than a standard board. Approximately – H 165cm, W 48cm D 10cm

Excellent quality ironing board. I was getting a bit tired of having to buy a new one every few years as they simply can’t take the punishment a family of four (and a heavy steam generating iron) dish out. So whilst this was quite a bit more expensive than the usual [rubbish] you can pick up at the supermarket it does look like it’s going to last a lot longer. Very sturdy and stable, with lots of knee space for if you choose to sit (as long as you’re right handed).

I loathe ironing and do it as little as possible (jersey and lycra fabrics are my friends) but there are certain things that have to be ironed and for those things there is this ironing board.

    Great features:
    – It’s got a very large surface area which speeds up the ironing process (more surface can be ironed before the clothing needs to be moved onto the next part).
    – On one end is a heat-proof zone where the iron can rest without burning.
    – Strong and stable, no rocking about while you are moving the iron about.
    – heat reflecting cover which maximises the heat of the iron onto the clothes.
    – Easy to put up and put away with a rubber ball that provides an anti-collapse fail-safe.

Even if you hate ironing, there should be no need to suffer with poor quality equipment. This is a great quality item which I have owned for nearly three years and it’s still as good as new!

I don’t like ironing so was looking at spending the minimum for an ironing board. Having read reviews I decided to adopt the opposite approach and bought this. It is stable, reflects heat back so ironing is easier, is a great size and shape so I have to move clothes around on it less, and the iron sits on heat-resistant end much more easily than on the chrome rack my old board had. I won’t go so far as to say I love ironing now but the ironing I do is not done in the stressful way it used to be.

I never thought that I would need to sit down to iron but due to hip problems the need arose. If I’d known about this board way back I would have bought it a long time ago. It is a doddle to iron now. Just wish I’d had it when I was working. It would be ideal for tired Mums after a long day at work. It came well packed and the delivery time was very speedy. Thank You Amazon. A*

Bought this after previous cheap and nasty ironing board collapsed. The Titan Oval appears to be well constructed and stable. Easy to put up and take down but be aware it is quite tall when folded. Have only used it a couple of times and initial impression is that this is the best board I have ever used – it is good for everything I tried out – shirts, sheets, jeans etc. It is expensive however.

…although very expensive! Hopefully worth it – it has a 10 year guarantee.
Folded dimensions not much bigger than my old board.
Seems to be strong and sturdy; large iroining surface is nice but not too heavy.
Being able to set the height the same every time is a nice touch.
The best feature is that the iron rest area is all part of the one-piece board – no more trapped iron cables between the board and the iron well!

I wanted a large ironing board for my sewing room and this is certainly a large ironing board. It’s very sturdy and well made. The beauty of it and why I choose it mainly was so that I could have it very high up for working on as well as ironing. It has many adjustable heights so perfect for this. The cover is well made and so far is lasting up to the job. It does take up a lot of room so if you don’t have much space I wouldn’t purchase this board.

purchased this after I had used the one my daughter has, the price is a bit off putting, but take into account the many other stlye boards purchased and thrown away and the fact my daughter has had hers for years helped in making me get one , it is slightly heavy but great to use I seem to get through the ironing much swifter than before .

This is a really sturdy (but a wee bit heavy) ironing board which is super to use. The only problem is that it’s supporting stand is curved and bends away from users who are right handed. This is a problem if you happen to be left handed as you will catch your knees on the stand. Be sure to order the left handed version if that is the case. 😉

This is a large board which is great for sheets, trousers and other adult size items. Found it a little difficult to close first couple of times used, probably poor choice of location, but caught the iron cable on the closing leg pulling my steam generator onto the kitchen floor, needless to say there was some damage. Lovely large board to use when standing or sitting but make sure you have enough space to close it. Not disappointed with product, same it is so expensive.

I purchased this item, but unfortunately the legs were buckled and I returned it. I was going to get the same item, but found another that was slightly cheaper. I used this ironing board twice before I sent it back and i must say, I would recommend it because it is not too heavy, although it is a large size, it was a lovely ironing board. I would not have returned it if the legs had not been buckled.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReceived a replacement from Amazon today and this one is spot on, very stable – so a note to buyers, don’t accept a dodgy board, it should be rock steady and all the feet should be flat on the floor, otherwise, return it.

It’s a great board, the ironing area is huge – but then so is the whole thing – it is a little large to store and heavy to move around, so bear that in mind.

Can’t fault the design though, very well thought out with the strong curved legs and little features like being able to lock it to the right height so it pops up to that same height every time.

Just a shame about the quality issues, not something you really expect from Brabantia. The first board was faulty and wouldn’t sit flat on the ground, the second was fine from this perspective but the cover and underlay on the board was seemingly permanently creased and wrinkled from being ruffled up in transit. So I took the good cover from the wonky board and put it on the good board and now I have what I would consider to be an acceptable quality Brabantia product – finally!

Because of the quality issues, it loses a star.

    ===Original Review===

This is an interim review, as Amazon are sending me a replacement, if my experience improves I will update it. However the situation at the moment is that I’ve paid 75 for an ironing board that wobbles uncontrollably when I’m ironing. When I set the board up, one of the feet is over an inch raised from the ground, so the board is completely unstable. I’ve tried it in several location on several surfaces and its the same every time.

Very poor build quality. As I say, I have returned it as it was unusable. I will update you when I get the replacement from Amazon.

10/10 to Amazon, I ordered this ironing board & it was delivered within 3 days. Just a warning to anyone thinking of purchasing one…it is rather bulky and very tall when folded down. Fortunately I have a big enough utility room to keep it stood ready for use, however the legs are designed that the board itself cannot be stood flush against a wall making the overall width even wider. Other than that I am pleased with it.

Would recommend this ironing board to all able-bodied persons. Not so good if you’re a bit frail, as it’s a bit heavy, but boy is it sturdy. Having the silicone parking zone on the end is genius; makes ironing sheets and bedding a doddle! The ‘safety catch’ is excellent – no chance of the board collapsing whilst in use (has happened to me with previous purchases). A good all rounder. Very happy with my purchase.

Best ironing board I have ever had. Very stable, great large area for ironing. Is quite heavy, but that helps stability. Came before the expected time which was great because my previous board had completely collapsed. This has a safety feature to stop the board from collapsing and is good for keeping the board from opening once it is closed. Would recommend this board to everyone.

This is a great ironing board. It’s got a big ironing surface but isn’t too bulky to put up. It’s expensive but don’t be fooled by cheaper models. Not wanting to spend this much on an ironing board on a recommendation I purchased the large board from Wilkinsons. It was dreadful and 6 months later purchased this. Wish I’d just bitten the bullet and bought it in the first place.

Really stable and large area makes light work of ironing large items e.g. duvet covers (yes people DO iron duvet covers!).
However, be aware that what is described as the ‘iron parking zone’ is completely flat with no holding mechanism and is basically part of the board. Your iron could easily be knocked or pulled off if you are clumsy or have little people around. I therefore stand my iron on the granite worktop on its end and use the whole of the board for ironing! Works for me.

This is a sturdy ironing board with a large surface. Good height adjustment, so excellent if you are tall or like to sit to iron . No back ache after ironing for the first time in years. The iron parking zone makes ironing easier. It is quite heavy but I prefer that to the cheaper flimsy ones I’ve seen. Its a good 6 inches taller than my previous large board and I have to store it in the garage as it won’t fit in the under stairs cupboard. Overall very pleased.

Prompt service. I treated myself to some Egyptian cotton bedding forgetting that they’d need ironing! I bought this board for its width and length of table. It’s perfect for larger items & also clothing, minimising the amount of moves required to iron the whole item. I also love the variable height of operation as I am tall & anyone could iron comfortably on it – (males please note).

For years I have struggled with buying ironing boards as they are so LOW! Granted, I am 6ft but leaning down constantly does make your back ache! I have also found that before long other boards start to show the grid marks of the board on your clothing, despite using highly padded covers. However, this board is fantastic as at its highest height I can iron without any back issues! The board has many adjustable levels so tall or short, it can work for you. I haven’t tested out the heat resistant zone as that’s where my steam generator safely sits. The board is also long, great again for tall people with long legged jeans. It is also extremely well padded and does not show any of the awful grid marks on your clothing that makes it look as if you have been run over a couple of times, and comes with a 10 year guarantee.

This board may be a little pricey but it’s definitely worth the money.

As an ironing board it’s great, the only down sides (which are minor) are –
    1) The pattern on the cover is distracting, sends your eyes wonky sometimes.
    2) The feet stick out rather a long way. Although this makes it a very stable work surface, you can easily catch your feet on them causing you to trip.
Apart from these two minor points it is an ironing board I would highly recomend. Well constructed and value for money.

Wanted a big ironing surface with strong, stable legs. This well-made board ticks the boxes and comes with the bonus of a heat-resistant pad to put your iron on. It’s easy to put up or down, but if you’re right-handed the adjuster handle is on the side of the board furthest away from you. Why not put one on both sides like the previous Vileda board I had? Also the legs bend away from your knees if you’re right-handed (which is useful) but towards them if you’re left-handed. Not very equal opportunities but it’s only a problem if you sit down to do the ironing. It’s well-made and strong and should last a long time.

This seems expensive, but I am really pleased with it. It is comfortable to use as the position is variable, and it goes up and down smoothly. The cover is fitted well, and the black area is the place where the iron can sit safely – though I suppose it’s not as safe as a recessed area would be. I have no small children or animals, so this was not a facto

I purchased this ironing board approximately a year ago and am delighted with it. Yes, it is a tad on the pricey side but worth every penny. I’m 5’7″ and was fed up stooping over standard boards, this barbantia makes ironing less of a chore as I can adjust it to a comfortable height, when fully extended its too high for me! It’s very robust and I can see it lasting for many years to come.

It is a good, stable and comfortable board to use. The lever, to higher and lower, would have been better on the right hand side, as most people are righthanded. However this is a minor point and being able to set the height required is a plus – no messing about getting it right everytime you use it.
Overall I am pleased with this product even though I thought it was expensive.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am a man, the wife’s internet secretary. The wife says she is very pleased with the Brabantia ironing board. The price was very good. The delivery was extremely quick. It was easy to assemble. It has plenty of height adjustment. It is very stable on the floor. There is a locking device to prevent little ones collapsing the board on them when it is use. Only one small negative, the board may be a little heavy for a small slight person. Wife cannot stop ironing now which gives me a lot of free surfing time.

An excellent ironing board well made, very sturdy, no rocking like my previous ironing board, may be a bit heavy for some people, only down side is no flex holder, this has to be purchased seperately. This board makes ironing much easier, no gap between ironing board and iron rest which to me is a very large plus point, I was fed up of my iron lead getting stuck. It is quite expensive but makes a good investment, so if in doubt go for it you wont be disappointed.

Biggest ironing board I have ever seen but useful for ironing bedlinen. In doing so, it uses up the heat-resistent part so there is nowhere to rest the iron! It could do with a retractable one that slots under the board when not needed ( a future design improvement?) It is fairly heavy and it stands almost my height (folded) so requires a fair bit of strength and manipulation. Well padded and I like the grey design. It has a facility to set it to open at the height you normally operate at and I have removed the safety device that stops it from being closed accidentally.

This is an ironing table – and what features could it have, you wonder?
Well, this one is wide for a start – meaning ironing is faster and more efficient.
The heat resistant part at one end, allows you to leave the iron down without burning the house down.
Little pluses – yes, there can be features to an ironing table!
The table “remembers” your usual height. And there is a safety feature to prevent the table folding inadvertedly.
The table is of course very sturdy. The size and good quality means it is a bit on the heavy side but this is not an item that you move around much anyway!

This ironing board is very solidly constructed and provides a large, stable ironing surface. The height adjustment is very flexible and the clamp for setting the preferred height is an excellent design feature. It is quite large and heavy to lift and we initially found it rather difficult to put up and down until we discovered that it was easier to do this while standing at the back of the board where the release lever is located. It is expensive but it does its job well and should last a lifetime.

Yes it was expensive (cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else though).
Yes its heavy but I LOVE this board.
I am tall so its perfect as the height adjustment is massive – it can be up very high or low. Its so so sturdy – no rocking even when pulling king size duvet covers over it.
I don’t enjoy ironing – only do it when I can watch something on tv but this board makes me happy to be standing there – worth every penny and would, if one day anything happens to it, buy another one. It has a 10 year guarantee on it so that is impressive as well.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy last ironing board was a nightmare to put up and was liable to collapse with the slightest nudge.

This ironing board is sturdy. It is surprisingly light and very easy to put up. There is a simple safety-catch so it can’t be accidentally collapsed. It is also possible to set the height so that it opens at the same height each time. The extra depth makes ironing wide items such as curtains easier.

Not the cheapest but definitely seems to be good value for money. This one should last me a long time, and I do not anticipate any trapped fingers. I can’t say that I now enjoy ironing, but it is more bearable.
