How does the Canny Collar work?
The Canny Collar works by using a ‘pressure and release’ system. Put simply, when your dog pulls he will feel pressure on the bridge of his nose and when he doesn’t pull, there is no pressure.
By keeping your arm by your side and allowing the Canny Collar to do any corrective work, you can then give your dog positive praise when he is walking calmly by your side, thereby encouraging walking on a loose lead. Wow. I was recommend this collar from a friend. My lab is great off the lead in open spaces but as soon as the lead goes on she pulls and it’s a nightmare for street walking. I have tried everything and used all my patience up that I had given up and we just hop in the car to the beach. This is a brilliant bit of kit. She did try and pull it off at first and succeeded a couple of times and at times it slipped off because she was walking so well. A treat through the band to slip it over her nose and she’s not bothered about it at all now. Her tail was wagging away as well. Absolute great first walk. LOVE IT. Best thing I’ve bought in a while
I’ve always had this collar for my retired guide dog. my new guide dog came with a different collar that kept going over her eyes so I swapped it for this one and she is so. so much happier. It fits brilliantly and hasn’t gone in her eyes once. I always recommend these.
Best easy to use training collar around. It allows the dog to open its mouth without any restriction and gives the owner full control with no effort. when the dog is walking correctly at heel just flip off the nose band allowing them to walk with just a flat collar, they quickly realise what you expect from them.

Our 6month old pointer has hyperactivity and lead walking was becoming a huge problem. We tried many different training methods but the canny collar has been an instant success. He still tries to get it off on occasion but he overall appears happy.

My dog is a 4 year old Bearded Collie who constantly pulls on the lead. I have tried several different styles to stop this and never had any success. This is brilliant, works so well and easy to use. highly recommend.

Good collar and certainly worth the effort of putting it on the only negative is the ends that to attach to the lead when not in use clip together under the chin and if not fixed properly look like they could catch in the undergrowth which my dog spends a lot of time .

Definitely would recommend this collar if your dog pulls. I have a Doberman 45kg and he is a different dog now when walking, he’s at my side rather than in front pulling me and reduced pulling by a good 90%. Great collar and good quality. My only criticism is that if the dog pulls it does ride up under his eyes and bless him he tries to paw it off his face but we do constantly check it is sitting correctly and loosening off.
I like the canny collar because it’s easy to use my dog responds well also using the canny collar doesn’t rip the dogs fur out as normal half and full checks.
