Clearwater 1.5 kg pH Minus
Clearwater 1.5 kg pH Minus is a simple and effective way to keep the pH levels of a pool within the recommended boundaries, reducing alkalinity and producing a more comfortable swimming environment.
Using the pH reducer couldn’t be easier. Once the recommended amount has been dissolved in warm water the solution is added to the pool, reducing high pH water to a more suitable level. After eight hours pH levels should be checked again and decreased or increased until they fall within the bracket of 7.2 to 7.6. If the pH level has fallen below 7.2 you should use Bestway Clearwater pH Plus, available inside the Bestway Chemicals collection, to increase it to the correct level.

Easy to apply. Adjust amount added and use dip test to check the pH levels before adding more.
Not great value for money but does the job ok.

Put 2 teaspoons of this in a cup with some warm water from the hot tub once every 1 to 2 weeks when the PH drops.. works a treat every time.

This is not a fake review and I wasn’t paid to leave this! This product actually worked! I had PH at about 6.8, followed the instructions to the word and it moved upto 7.4 and is now perfect. My pool holds 2076 litres /630 gallons for reference. Well done for producing something that does what it says it will.
Recommend for an inflatable hot tub but would not recommend for a hard shell hot tub

Takes a bit of experimenting but I add about a level tablespoon a week to our hot tub & it keeps the water ph neutral.

Good quality product and as long as you keep on top of your ph levels expect your hot tub to be perfect with this product.
A little pricey as are most hot tub chemicals these days, but a brand I’ve used before. I have read reports of Clearwater branding third party products recently, not sure how true this is but I would buy a cheaper brand if available.

Well presented and convenient tub used by for dosing a 5/10 mg spoonful to adjust PH levels in Hot Tub as required.
The product definitely has an effect on tap water, I have tested it and the pH of a concentrated solution is significantly higher after adding than before. But my tub, sadly, remains too acidic.
Update: appears the issue was in fact alkalinity (water hardness). Added some bicarbonate of soda to the tub and tried again. Much better results! Please can the manufacturers of the product explain this on the pack? It will help people make the right choice and save waste. Your local water authority publishes water quality information on their website, so it’s worth checking there first.

I bought the pack with everything in for when you start a hot tub but I have nearly used all of the Ph up and this was the best value for money pack for a seller I have used before so I have stuck with them.
It took quite a lot of this to boost the pH in our pool but we hadn’t been actively working on maintaining it before this.
Will see how good it is once we are just maintaining balance rather than building it up.
The instructions are easy to follow but there is no mention of what effect the given amount should have on the pool’s pH. that would be a handy addition to the label.
We love the whole Clearwater range and never use anything else. They work perfectly.

Pool water should ideally be neutral (pH circa 7). Often it becomes acidic (pH less than 7). This product can be used to bring the acidity back to acceptable levels where the other chemicals (for example chlorine treatment) work best.
The correct dose of granules are fully dissolved in warm water before adding to the pool. Take care with the dosage, adding too much will make the pool alkaline and then you will need a pH minus type of product to correct it. Always wait until the dose is FULLY mixed in before using a test strip to check the pool pH.

I bought this product to use in my 8ft pool. I used it alongside the testing strips. I found that I hardly had to use this product but when I did it sorted out the PH balance perfectly. I will be using this again next summer.

Easier to add more than try to re balance with PH + (also needed if you want to do a good job of keeping your pool / spa water healthy & safe to use).
