Didn’t realise it had to be wired into electrics so still sitting in box!!
Probably will be a good product but until I can afford an electrician it’s staying in box

I bought the same one about 3 years ago and it is movement sensitive. It has been working perfectly and ideal for getting the keys for front door with a nice strong light. This switches off when I am in. Just recently it went wrong and flashed on and off all night long. I ordered a replacement BUT remembered to look at the 3 adjustable settings at the back, turned the screws a fraction, and it is now working perfectly again. So have a spare, which I may put at the back of the house. I do recommend it .
Easy to fit for my and to join mains cable with the 1m cable this security light has. Also very lightweight so only needed one screw to hold to soffit. Fingers crossed its lasts through a winter or two at the least!
Feels solid and well made – very easy to fit and set up – the 2 press buttons forday/night operation and preset time duration on this are so much easier than older sensors with the 3 little twist buttons that took forever to set. Good light output. Good value.
Bought to replace a very good light that had lasted a long time but had finally failed. I got a trusted electrician to fit it but I could now fit it myself next time as the electric cable comes all-ready connected to the light, it’s just a matter of connecting the other end to your electric supply which was all ready fitted to the old light. You can set it to work all day or only to work at night, useful to check it’s working or not before it’s needed. When I checked it when it got dark it came on when I stepped in front of the sensor and turned off after 45 seconds, you can set it go off after between ten seconds to ten minutes.
Looks good, worked fine for several months but has become dim and one or more LEDs have failed. Struggled a little to find a contract information to claim warranty. Once contact was established, a replacement security light was shipped to me very promptly, free of charge and is working fine.
Bought to replace old light. Very bright . But didn’t realise you couldn’t adjust the sensor my own fault should of read description properly but does the job .
Very good value for the costing
Easy to install and a bright light, setting the timer and day/night on off settings is very easy. The motion sensor seems to have a narrow beam so you have to adjust the angle correctly but it does seem to help protect against any false triggers from things passing on a nearby road.
All i can say is BRILLIANT it works as it should its very bright white LED beam is excellent and the pir =passive infrared sensor picks items up over a big area and so easy to put up and wire even for a novice..i would recommend this as an excellent outside automatic energy saving led ligh
The light is bright and responsive but switches out quickly. I wanted to use it in my garage so had to buy and wire a plug. Not diffult but hadn’t realised it came an open wire not with a plug.
Only been installed a few months and not working properly anymore. Contacted customer services and received a very quick response to my email and a replacement arrived in a couple of days.
This was to replace previous one which was bought from another supplier but lasted a year to the day after purchase.
It was still working but seemed to be on half power which was no use.
The new unit was better and easier to set up as the control buttons were press button instead of a knob which was more trial and error.
Nice and bright and hope it lasts longer than the other one.
I’m always sceptical about making a cheep purchase.
This is value for money.
One of two issues is that you have to put your own plug on it.
This isn’t a problem for someone with a bit of common sense to install.
Two of two you can’t set the PIR sensitiveity but this isn’t an issue if you set the angle of it properly.
I would recommend this flood light.
The light is easy to install and the timer and day or night settings are very simple to adjust. The times of on are slightly longer than stated but this is not really a problem.
Very pleased with the product – looks well engineered, good materials used and thought given to the design.
Impressed with the push button setting for day/night operation and timing. Previou unit got moisture ingress into small rotating adjusters – this has sealed membrane over contact switches. Also switches save the faff in adjusting day/night light tranistion and ON duration by experiment. So installed and working in minutes ! A small detail, but stainless steel nuts used on mounting, not plated steel – good.
Light is bright for my driveway ( 25watt model) and gives good spread. The trigger works very well – out to perimeter of driveway.
1. The mounting bracket uses two bolts with nuts for attachment of the lamp. The nuts are loose in little sockets in the lamp housing and will be a pain to fit while holding lamp, bolt, nut and spanner all at the same time. can drive in the bracket mounting screws while the lamp is attached to it’s bracket but that is awkward too. Possibly the best option is to tape the nuts into the sockets to give you one less object to drop.
2. The leaflet is in multiple languages, in small print and covers 3 or 4 different lamps. The instructions for changing the lamp’s operating mode do not mention that the relevant switches are concealed under a rubber blanking plate – and this is difficult to find when standing on a ladder and holding the bits aforementioned. It is preferable to change the operating mode before installing the lamp. It is very obviously important to put the blanking plate back correctly to prevent the lamp corroding.
Covering the garden and rear of the house from garage, it’s detection range is brilliant and the light intensity superb. Nice and compact size and looks the part. Such a great performance and so impressed a pal, he ordered one and fitted it and feels the same about performance results
This led floodlamp is quite powerful for 25v lamp.Motion detection is 12m ,adequate for my medium sized garden.
Wire already in place from old unit. These are brilliant to install , adjust and set. EXCELLENT light . WOULD BUY AGAIN
Really impressed with this for the price. It’s easy to fit, bright with good motion detection. Few visitors have commented on its effectiveness and how it’s helped them negotiate the steps to my door. Would get another.
The light is nice and compact but you get great light coverage. It was easy to install and I have had no nuisance activations since the light was installed, so I would say the motion sensor is of a better quality.
Works well, changed to this from 400W Halogen spotlight, seems fully waterproof, don’t worry about bulb not able to be replaced as always found that when you open halogen spotlight to change bulb it looses it’s waterproof feature anyways maybe due to heat hardening the rubber seal.
Bought this as a replacement for an old light. Really easy to fit, god detection and bright.

Great quality comes pre wired to maintain IP rating. Easy to install. just add waterproof junction box from feed and wire light into it.
I added silicone to all joints and around glass front to double up on water protection.

in the description of the led it says that you have control of the time for the light to turn off and you don’t also have it said that I can choose whether the light turns on during the day or only at night and it also doesn’t have
We have a garden of about 80ft, and this lights up the whole garden. Great value and very easy to fit.
Used this to light a back door for an elderly gentleman easy to set up and fit came with wall plugs and screws .came with a good length of flex nice compact unit good bright light.
This lamp is surprisingly bright despite it’s small size & as it only uses 10W it’s cheap on the electric too!

Replacing a much larger brighter lamp – but not obvious in use – other than motion detection more reliable.
Easy to fit, very bright , motion sensor took a little to set up to where I wanted it but works great . The length of the cable could be a bit longer . But overall very good light .
So far, so good with this LED security light. I have it mounted above my garage door so it illuminates my driveway when movement is detected. Setting it up so that it switches on at the right time and for the duration needed is a bit of a faff but in my experience all PIR lights are the same in this respect. Because it is LED and far more economical than a halogen light I have set it to come on for longer. The light was promptly dispatched and well packaged and seems good quality but only time will tell how durable it is. The light comes with a long length of power cord which made wiring it up much easier. I’m not sure what else there is to say about an outside light but so far I’d buy another one from what I’ve experienced of this purchase.
I wanted a brighter light so I could see my dog in the garden at night – this is just the job, very bright and also stays on for 10mins after sensing you so good amount of time to get last wee done
This is the second of these units o have fitted, the first lasted approx 2years before the led cells stopped working (gradually). I purchased a second as it was on sale and would be a direct swap so minimal effort. Functionally very good in terms of brightness and motion detection.
Fast delivery and the light was easily installed and appears to be working fine. Setting the distance of the sensor and length of the light staying on is something we still need to sort out. Also as it hasn’t been wet I cannot comment on how weatherproof it is – but it works!
Bought as replacement for similar light that had failed after 2 years (different brand) so was a straightforward swap aside from the constraints of a fairly short length of cable (only about 1m) but fortunately I was still able to connect to existing wiring inside the garage. Working well (at 20W approximately twice the power of the old one) at the moment; hopefully it will last a lot longer than 2 years!
Good product so far , very bright , good value for money , the adjustment for time duration is trial and error , the 600s? Is the longest duration and the 10s is the shortest duration.
Despite the small size of the unit compared to my previous (now deceased) security light, this unit is very bright, if a little too ‘cold’ perhaps. Easy to install, you might need a waterproof junction box as well for 6 but hey it’s a good light and works well. Still getting the motion detection as I want it but overall very pleased particularly for the price!!

I gave it 5 stars apart from just 3 for Weatherproof – as I’ve only just installed it so have no idea how waterproof it will be – looks well made though. A breeze to install, lights up the back garden perfectly, motion sensor excellent.
Pleased with purchase, feels substantial, a good quality product. Waterproof and a sealed unit which had the wire already fixed to the lamp which made it much easier to fit using a junction box. Pleased with the range of the sensor which is adjustable and the quality of the light which illuminates the drive well without being over bright. The Sensor was easy to adjust, either moon setting for night time illumination or sun or day time and night time illumination. The second sensor was to adjust the time the light stays on which I set at 10 seconds which is adequate. I set up before fixing to the front of the garage which made it a lot easier to do rather than when already in place. My light is set to moon setting and ten seconds light which works well for me. Would definitely buy this product again, hopefully it will last a long time and won’t need to replace for a long time.
Early days as only just fitted and to make a proper review I think it requires an assessment over a period of at least 6 months – but hey!
Initial impression is that the sensor picks up the range that I wanted and the brightness is satisfactory to light up my driveway without being intrusive to neighbouring properties. It was easy to install and I would recommend it, but obviously cannot say how well it will stand up over time.
Just be mindful it’s a cool light not warm light. We’re happy with it.
A bright light, well made, sensitive PIR, good value for money. Would have liked a 30 second timer.
Simple to install. Just change day to night using switch. Very bright. Works as expected.
PS. Just bought a second as my old 100w halogen light has packed up. Thank goodness. Now I can save a bit of money on electricity. Going to need a third soon as the other halogen light is temperamental. Good light.
It’s working well and hope it keeps working as the last ones I got did not last a year so trying this brand now good detection and east to set up
I got the 10w versions and they are really bright, easy to install, the timer and daylight settings all work well, my only slight gripe is about the claim that it will not pick up pets, I have a cat which likes to go out in the evening and the sensors picks him out and brings the light on, for me this is actually a good thing as I get a warning when he comes back but just so you know the claim is false.
This light worked trouble free for 18 months then failed. Like all things mass produced some items occasionally fail. When this happened I contacted seller through Amazon and it was replaced within 24 hours of submitting details requested.
Brought to light up passage way at side of property were coalbunkers are. Very easy to fit and gives a good light. Very easy to set up for time and daylight or night time only. Much better than the light it replaced and looks like it is built to last but winter will tell. So far so good. Does what I need it too. ( If you can’t find switch to set time etc they are under the black rubber strip at the bottom as this is not made clear on the instructions)
My concern is how long the LED light will last as when this goes this means the whole unit has to be changed not just a bulb. However most of the lights on the market seem to have the same design of non replaceable bulbs so not much choice. At 19.54 a go this is not the end of the world.
I also had to buy a CoolWest Junction box to connect security light cable with mains cable. As both the light and the Junction box are exposed to the elements both had to be IP66 standard. I found a lot of misleading statements on the net saying IP44 were weatherproof but official sites claim this is not the case unless your light is in a garage or shed or hanging under a jutting out roof then insist on getting IP66.
No issues with this product good value for money, only criticism is that cable from unit is short and you may need to purchase an external junction box.
All LED lights now seem to have a short flying lead. I needed a separate IP rated junction box to connect the existing power cable coming through the wall to the light. No other simple choice when the alternate is taking the flying lead through the wall, jointing it etc in a roof space. Light would be better with a junction on the unit to connect cables already protruding through the wall.
The light was easy to install and produces a really good light. The sensor could do with a bit more range. I have to be halfway along my driveway before it picks me up.
My only dislike is that the supplied cable is not as long as I’d have liked As to the rest It’s a good easy to install and operate lighting unit.If you buy one just be aware the supplied cable is quite short other than that I’d thoroughly recommend it BFJ
The quality of these are great, angles well and the brightness are Excellent. I bought two to light down the side of the house and they do a superb job.
My only negative is the PIR detection works also in daylight, so they trigger even when not required.
Had 3 of these lamps in the past , all great. Unfortunately recent purchase proved to be faulty (brightness and motion detector didn`t work atall). Now awaiting return / collection and refund. In the meantime intend buying another lamp to replace the faulty one , and another , which will, eventually replace another old lamp (different mak) which will need replacing in due course.
Therefore, happy to continue purchasing /using these lamps because of past excellent experience , just got a faulty one on last occasion.
Great light, really bright white light that floods the garden well and has survived the recent horrendous british weather perfectly well. Its actually a two for one product as the installation instructions are written in Chinglish so you get to play a game (think Operation) whilst you figure out how to install it without getting an electric shock or creating a fire risk. That said, its easy enough to install and worth the money
Bought to replace an older halogen security light. Easy to install as an existing junction box was already in place, however the shorter cable length (1 meter) meant that I had to lower the height of the light to enable me to us it. Settings are easy to adjust ( do prior to placement), I have mine on night settings, when it was nighttime and I went out into my garden it came on immediately giving off plenty of light. If I had to nitpick it would be the cable length, for me an additional foot would have been appreciated.
This floodlight is excellent value for money, the PIR sensor is very good and the 20 watt version is bright enough to illuminate a back garden without causing a nuisance to neighbours. Only criticism is the cable length is too short, it could be say 500mm longer.
This light is surprisingly bright considering its nice compact size. It looks tidy fitted above the door. You get plenty options too, how long it stays on for etc. Good length of cable on it too. This will make winter life so much easier and safer for us.
The product does everything it says on the page. Firstly the item is value for money, the fitting was very easy and very well constructed. Most importantly it does all l expected it to do to give the security l needed and the coverage and sensitivity of movement to cause the light to come on.

I chose this brand as it is rated at IP66 and at 20 watts this is by far the brightest PIR light we have installed around the house and garden. The time settings give 4 options from10 seconds to 5 minutes. I have it at 2minutes, which is ample time at night to take the dog out for his night time toilet break.
When an old (20 years old!) PIR light failed recently I opted to buy a second CLY Floodlight. Now installed on a wall facing all the weather. It has been raining for several days, and the LED light is still good.
If I ever need another PIR light I will buy again.
only fitted it on Sunday, with my neighbours help, lead a bit short but we got it sorted.
Much brighter than my last 10w which was bought from a well known DIY store, after only 2 years.
Fingers crossed this lasts a lot longer.
Installation is slightly difficult because the lamp housing gets in the way when screwing bracket to wall. This can be overcome by removing the lamp from the bracket, but that is an extra complication when standing at the top of a ladder.
Motion detection is good but would be improved by adding a sensitivity adjustment.
Otherwise, a good floodlight – very bright for the power consumption.
I got the 20W one, and it is very bright indeed, I’m glad I didn’t go for the 30W one! The flex it is supplied with is very small so a standard compression gland won’t form a water-tight seal, you need a teeny gland. There also isn’t a switched-live terminal you can connect to so all the lights come on when any one is triggered. This is a standard feature on PIR lights and this is the only one I’ve seen without the feature.
The instructions are terrible, you have to figure out for yourself how to adjust the settings.
Very bright light and easy to install the big down side for me is that the motion detection range is very poor only pick up movement from about 10 ft away. The whole point of buying it was to pick up movement from at least 30-40 feet away as someone could easily walk around it without setting it off! so definitely wouldn’t buy it again will spend more money and get a decent one next time.
I used the light on the rear patio to give good visibility when going to my garage at night. It is very bright and the PIR works very well with 180 degree detection. The timing/function is very easy to set via a slide switch. Only 4 time settings available (10s, 45s, 2min or 10min). Bracket is a little bit flimsy but so far has supported the light with no problems. Light is waterproof and it is still working with no problems despite the really hard, driven rain that has been around lately. Very pleased overall.
Correction:
After 48 hours of staying on continuously during both day and night time, the light switched itself off and is now working correctly. The PIR sensor was checked during night time and this worked satisfactorily and the light switched itself off after the preset time lapse.
Following this development, my review should be amended as the light is no longer faulty.
